Chapter 68: Heroes' Day Part 4: The Battle is Fought and Won(Kagami's POV)

The heroes stand on the roof looking out onto the Eiffel Tower. Dread fills Kagami, how will they be able to beat thirty akumas? Marmora seems to be the only one who seems to glow at the challenging task ahead of them.

Like he has done something this challenging before.

She has to admire his confidence in them winning even though it seems impossible. The sun shines and there's not a cloud in the sky. It seems like a bad open to Paris bathed in light and not clouded in darkness as they fight the army Hawkmoth has planted in their way.

Marmora's smile brightens, "Well team, let's go and win this thing!" He leaps/dives off the roof in a dramatic way, well dramatic to her anyways.

Chat sighs but jumps off after him. Same with Honeybee and a fox heroine, who looks like a fox themed spy instead of a hero.

Reluctantly she follows them, uncertain of how the battle will go. She only knows that she can rely on her fencing sword that the miraculous gave her as a weapon and the wind, water and lighting as long as she says dragon after them. After all three special abilities are used she has five minutes before she detransforms.

They first face a wave of five akumas, akumas she doesn't recognize. As she isn't as big a fan of the heroes to know every akuma they face that is posted on the Noirblog.

Each of her teammates chose a villain to face, leaving her with an akuma who looks like a gorilla, a blue gorilla. It drums its fists on its light red chest and lets out a war cry, that sounds like it's angrily roaring at something. That something being her.

Kagami unsheathes her sword from the sheathe on her back and gets into a fighting stance. Before the gorilla can make the first move she runs at the beast. She jumps and attempts to slash the beast with her sword, but the brute swats her away with his hand, like she was amere fly annoying him.

She hits the ground, but the fall doesn't hurt as much except that her face stings a little from meeting the gravel. Getting up on her feet, Kagami notices that her sword is a few feet away from her.

Grabbing her sword she again assumes an attack stance and doges the gorilla's oncoming fist attack. There must be some way to beat the beast. But she doesn't know how to use the powers bestowed to her from Chat Noir. Maybe the others are having better luck?

Zoe's POV

Zoe dodges a barrage of fist attacks and kicks from Princess Fragrance, aware that if that auma gives her a smee;l of her perfume she will become her servant. If only she could fight better and actually attack. Her only real skills are using the Mirage power, that wouldn't benefit her teammates in any way, or at least not yet.

Curses, she thinks as she dodges another kick from Princess Fragrance.

What could she use to deakumatize this villain? To defeat it? An actress does have to know when to improvise as sometimes their scene partners forget their lines and it's up to them to keep the show going, or at least make it look like the person's mess up was a part of the show to begin with.

So taking that….What could she apply? The others are battling their villains and might not be done, so she has to do this by herself. Which means the only person in this scene is her and Zombizu.

She cartwheels away from her enemy and looks at the design. Is there anything there that could help me? Zoe thinks.

The villain she is fighting….Wait a moment, couldn't she use the perfume against the villain instead. That way the akuma would be her servant instead of the akuma making her the servant.

But how to get that to work?

"Hey, are you gonna spray me with your perfume? I heard that you have the best perfume in Paris."

The akuma stops and puts her hands to her face and says, "Me..I have the best perfume? Oh, how kind of you. I knew my perfume didn't smell like fish. Chloe said it did. Oh thank…"

Zoe stares at the akuma, lost. Then a red light engulfs the akuma and leaves a girl…Rose! How did she get akumatized? She's the nicest girl, except for the fact that she doesn't hang around certain people for some reason.

Rose blinks, "Ah! How did I get here! I have to get to Juleka's boat, otherwise I won't be doing our Heroes' day deed."

Then Rose runs off, leaving Zoe shocked. She shakes herself, no time to be in shock, it's time to move on. Then she sees Marmora and the newbie Ryuko fighting a red gorilla, while Chat Noir and Honeybee ar removing onto the next wave of five akumas.

Figuring that Marmora and Ryuko have it handled she goes on to the next akuma line.

She choses an akuma who seems weak. The akuma seems to be avian themed, as he keeps flapping his arms like wings. And keeps saying, "Roo!Roo!Roo, roo!"

This should be fun.

Kagami's POV

She breaks the gorilla's lucky charm that was somehow kept in one of his fists. Marmora gives her a smile, "Nice job, Dragon."

"I only won with your help."

Marmora waves it off, "Yeah but you kept him busy. Besides helping our teammates is what Teams do. Even if they don't think they need cause they want to impress a certain black cat."

Kagami huffs and crosses her arms, "I only said I didn't need help because I wanted to prove to Chat Noir that he chose right with giving me the Dragon Miraculous."

"And there's nothing wrong with that. But between you and me I don't think Chat was paying attention to our little battle with Gorilla here. Rather he's focusing on getting to Hawkmoth, which reminds me Dragon, we should get back to attacking Hawkmoth's army of akumas."

He then waves and heads towards where two akumas don't have an opponent and she follows him. Well at least Marmora was humble about me not being able to beat that gorilla akuma on my own, Kagami thinks.

Somehow there's an ice cream akuma that looks cherry flavored because of the red akumas giving all the akumas a solid red tint, or filter so to speak. She attacks it because it's the only akuma left for her to attack. Her sword cuts through the ice cream akuma like knife cutting butter, resulting in the akuma losing an arm made of some sort of ice cream.

The ice cream akuma just roars in anger and moves to crush her with his other ice cream arm. Easily dodging the akuma attempt to crush her, she cuts off the akumas other ice cream arm, making the big giant of ice cream harmless.

No to figure out where the akuma is….

Zoe's POV

Hawkmoth had to akumatize a baby again!? Jeez, whoever this Hawkmoth fellow is, he is either not very bright or just really impatient and not very bright. Still this should be easy, as it's just a giant baby.

But figuring out where the akuma is, that's a little tougher. She dodges another fist trying to crush her into the pavement, and looks at the baby akuma in thought. The only thing that seems a little off is a bracelet that the baby is wearing.

Great, how is she supposed to get that bracelet from the akuma? Jump onto the akumas arm and try to break it off?

Worth a shot.

Zoe runs and jumps on to the akumas arm with the bracelet. The akuma takes notice and tries to brush her off, but Zoe dodges every attempt. But with each attempt, it looks like getting the bracelet is going to be impossible. Then she hears Honeybee say something.

Suddenly the akuma stops, frozen or rather paralyzed by Honeybee's Venom. Turning around she nods in thanks to the little yellow dot on the ground. She maneuvers on the akumas to get the bracelet. Struggling a little she eventually breaks the bracelet setting the red akuma free.

The akuma flies away for a little bit and then disappears into red ash.

Then she falls as the baby is deakumatized. Well she didn't think this one through. The baby appears harmlessly on the ground and Honeybee comes to her rescue by catching her in midair and landing.

"Thanks, if I had fallen I would have been a fox pancake."

"No worries."

"But how did you get back in time to save me after detransforming?"

Honeybee smirks, "I've done this long enough to know how to retransform quickly. Besides, our teammates were too busy fighting their own contained battles."

Zoe nods, and follows Honeybee back into the fray.

The battle continues like this, with each of the team members to Team Miraculous helping others with battles against akumas to the point where they begin to fight as a team. As one.

When they reach the bottom of the Eiffel Tower, Zoe feels excitement. Hawkmoth won't be able to stand in their way. They made sure to get rid of Dark Cupid so that Hawkmoth wouldn't be able to create more akumas. Their leader, Chat Noir's, idea.

She feels ecstatic that the Team has made it this far. And now they just have to take on Hawkmoth and end this.

Kagami's POV

Kagami stands beside her teammates looking at Hawkmoth. Chat Noir steps forward, "Hawkmoth it's time to end this! Hand over your miraculous to us!" Hawkmoth just stands there, not looking shocked or afraid, just calm.

"Oh really? I am afraid that I must disagree. It's time for you to hand your miraculous to me and then I can wait for Ladybug to come back and get her miraculous!"

Marmora snarls, "No way! We'll take you down today! Besides you know when Ladybug will be back, none of us do!"

"Well then, I'm afraid we must disagree."

Hawkmoth then dashes straight towards them. Kagami tries to fight him along with the others, but Hawkmoth has experience. He easily dodges everything and strikes back. The only hero having any luck striking Hawkmoth is Marmora. The tiger hero isn't just dodging but he's also fighting, so he isn't like the rest of his teammates stuck in playing defense.

It scares Kagami how easily Hawkmoth managed to get most of the team stuck playing defense. She watches, along with her teammates, the duel between Marmora and Hawkmoth. Marmora manges to get ahold of Hawkmoth's staff and breaks it. It releases a red akuma, and the akuma vanishes.

"Give up Hawkmoth!"

"Never!" Hawkmoth lunges at the tiger hero. Marmora quickly grabs Hawkmoth's arm and judo flips him onto the ground. The tiger hero then twists Hawkmoth's arm around and holds him a painful position.

That's when a white feather appears soon after and goes into Hawkmoth's butterfly brooch.

"Fine…I accept help."

A giant purple moth appears striking at Marmora. It then targets us. We keep it focused on us, but Kagami notices that Hawkmoth has escaped.

A few minutes afterwards the moth disappears and the white feather falls to the ground and dissolves. Chat Noir punches the Eiffel Towers platform.

"Gahhh!We were so close! So close to ending this fight! So close to bringing Peace to Paris!"

Marmora puts a hand on Chat Noir's shoulder.

"We will end it someday. For now what matters is that we prevailed as a team. That we won this fight. Now we just have to continue fighting and win over and over again. As long as it takes to free Paris from Hawkmoth."

"But…."

"No buts! I know you expected to win really big today. Sigh, I know it's frustrating to be so close to ending something and then lose that opportunity, whether through circumstance, or if it was purposeful. But that doesn't mean that there won't be other other opportunities."

Chat wipes the tears that were streaming down his cheek, "Yeah. That's true."

Kagami goes into hug Chat Noir and the others follow suit. Their victory was won, even though Hawkmoth escaped. And like Marmora said, there will be other opportunities to catch and imprison Hawkmoth for all that he has done.

Gabriel's POV

Blast it! Blast it! How could that plan have failed! He enters his butterfly layer and finds Nathile, his assistant on the floor.

"I told you that the broken Peacock miraculous is dangerous!" Gabriel yells, thinking of when Emile succumbed to the broken Peacock miraculous just almost a year ago.

This is one of the reasons why he refused to use it to help him get Team Miraculous's miraculouses.

"But you needed help.." Nathalie croaks.

"Yes but…" He falters, he can't deny that Nathaile did save him. She allowed him to continue this quest of bringing back his wife. His wife.

Oh god, he misses her so much. The way she filled his days with sunshine and light. A fire to his ice cold personality. Besides, Adrien needs his mother. He simply cannot care for Adrien, their son all alone. All alone without his light. And rest assured he will get his love back. No matter what, and he will not use the peacock miraculous.

As anyone who uses it will become like Emile. He vows not to use it.

Author's Note: We all know that won't be true. Also it's the end of the Intro Arc for Kwamis and Lions! Yeah! Sorry it took me this long to post the final chapter, but I didn't like the first version I typed up, so I took a break and I finally wrote the version I liked. Sorry there weren't more fight scenes but I figured two would be good and besides you will all see Team Miraculous fight as a team in the next arc which is Kwamis and Lions(Team Arc Part 1). So thank you to all who reviewed and followed this story, I hope the next arc to this story is just as exciting. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed the final chapter and I can't wait to write the next arc:)
