Hey there, long time no see. Sorry. I apologize for the short chapter.
Now I've begun plotting Angsty Cupcake into an original by changing all the charaters, magic systems, places, and basic overall story, while keeping the plot relatively the same. I'd love to have some feedback from you guys. What could I do better? What would you like to see happen? All the things?
Chapter 24 Sinking Feeling
September 8th, 3:00 AM, Southern UT, Hidden Haven
Jim ran forward. "Blinkey," he said. He gave the six eyed troll a back breaking hug as the elder exited the dungeon.
"Jim, you came!"
"Of course I came, Blink. I wouldn't leave you all in a bind," he said. His tail swaying freely behind him.
"My goodness, master Jim, your tail."
He gave a laugh, "Yeah, I know. Pretty unusual, right? But it's great, I love it."
Blinkey gave a solid nod, his eyes drifting behind Jim, landing on Razai, they narrowed to a glare.
Jim slapped his hand down on his shoulder. "No need to worry about him, I've talked with this tribe's elder, and they will allow everyone safe passage through Hidden Haven." He waved his hand to the other members of the scouting party to come out of the dungeon and to follow Razai.
"Master Jim, you surprise me yet again," he said with a fond smile.
"Just wait till you hear about what I've been doing back in California. Or just how much of a troll I've become," Jim said, walking the trail back to the village.
"I can't wait to listen to your tales."

September 8th, 3:00 AM, Gasquet CA, Palchuk home
"I told you she isn't here!" Brian yelled, a gun waved in his face.
"Obviously! Where is she?"
A sweaty, twitchy Arther Stark held the small family at the end of his gun with what was left of his hand, Brian Palchuck standing in between them with his arms spread to defend his family.
"I don't know!"
The gun went off, and the man's body shook before falling. Kristie catching his form, as the gun was shoved at the eldest child.
"Last time," Arther said. "Where is Indiana?"
Holding her husband in one arm, and her bundle of kids in the other, she screamed. "She's in Arcadia! Okay, she's in Arcadia," she said with labored breaths. "Now leave us alone."
The man wiped his wrist across his forehead, removing a layer of sweat as his body shook. "See, that wasn't so hard. Was it?"
He left, leaving the front door open, getting in his red truck and driving away with the sound of tires screeching on the road, headed for one Arcadia CA.
…
"Jim! Jim, it's him, he found me! He's in Arcadia. My dad, he's going to kill me. Jim, where are you?!"
His heart sank listening to Indigo's sobs and terrified, shaky voice mail. So, in broad daylight, he started running.
