Alex opens the door to her apartment and is instantly greeted "Hi Danvers... and baby Danvers" Maggie says with inquisition, Alex walks over and plants a kiss on Maggies lips "I'll explain later" "mhmm" Maggie replies. Isla drops her bag on the floor "What's for dinner? i'm hungry" Alex looks towards Isla "Well first you are going to pick up your bag and put it in the spare room and second you are going to sit your arse on that couch and we are going to go over some rules. After we do that we can think about dinner" Isla rolls her eyes before she grabs her bag and makes her way to the spare room. Maggie clears her throat behind Alex, Alex turns around to see a questioning look on her face "Short Version, Mom and Isla had a fight, she ran away. Mom is now going on a trip to Africa so Isla is staying with us for a while" Alex says in a whisper, Maggies opens her eyes wider in response "Seriously?" she says, Alex nods "I'm sorry I should have asked you first but everyone was arguing and it all happened so fast and Mom really needs a break from... Islas voice cuts through Alexs talking "CAN I GET A TV IN HERE?!" Isla yells from the room, "She needs a break from that" Alex quickly finishes. Maggie laughs "Well this should be interesting" Alex exhales "Yeaah".
Ten minutes later Alex, Maggie and Isla are sitting on the couch going over the rules "You are to listen to Kara, Maggie and myself. We are not going to have you treating us like you have been treating Mom" "If you are not at home you must have your phone on you at all times and answer it when we call you" Isla rolls her eyes, triggering Alex "And if you do your teenage eye roll one more time I will have you shipped straight back to Midvale" "Urgh fine, i'll stop" Isla responds. Maggie chuckles behind Alex, making Alex turn and give her a glare "Sorry" Maggie whispers under her breath, "Okay and my last rule, please don't do anything stupid. You know about National City, you know there are aliens and criminals and we are not going to be by your side 24/7 but if you do come across trouble you call us straight away, okay?" Isla nods "Yeah, got it". Alex picks up her phone "Great well i'm not in the mood for cooking so i'm going to order take-out. Pizza good for everyone?" Maggie and Isla both nod in unison.
It's been a week since Isla moved to National City and all has been going well. Isla spends a few hours a day with Maggie filing paperwork and she has been abiding by Alexs rules, well mostly.
Isla is currently sitting at a booth at Al's Dive bar with Alex and Maggie "Can I go and get some food?" Isla asks, Alex pulls out some cash and hands it over "Can you order some fries with whatever you order?" Isla stands up from the booth "Yeah sure". She walks her way over to the kitchen, halfway there she notices Supergirl is being shown on the news, she is saving a school bus from falling from a cliff, I wish I could be out there saving people too, Isla thinks to herself. Isla goes to continue her walk to the kitchen when she overhears two men start to talk badly of Supergirl "She thinks she is the she all mighty" "She thinks she is better then us" Isla's blood starts to boil "Least she is out saving people unlike you two who are getting drunk in a bar" Isla blurts out. The two men turn to see who just talked to them, they start laughing as soon as they see the teenage girl before them "Oh look, another fangirl" their laugh gets louder and more condescending, making Isla even angrier "No! she is my sister and she is the best person on this planet" the men suddenly stop laughing and stare at Isla "She is your sister?" Isla gulps, shit I should not have said that she thinks to herself, shit. The men continue "If she is your sister then why are you not out saving the world too, aye?" "I.. uhh.." Isla stumbles on her words, "What's going on over here?" Isla looks over to see Alex making her way over to her, she wraps her arms around Isla's shoulders "Um nothing" Isla says as she steps out of Alexs arm and heads towards to kitchen, Alex follows close behind, "You let your sister know that not everyone thinks she is a hero" The men yell out laughing. Alex grabs Isla's arm "Isla, what were those men saying to you and what do they mean by your sister being a hero?" Isla bites her bottom lip "Umm.. they were saying mean things around Kara, Supergirl, and I got angry.. I accidentally told them I was Supergirls sister" Alex puts her face in her hands "Isla, you are so stupid, why would you do that" Alex whispers "Do you know how dangerous it is for anyone to know your are related to Supergirl, that puts a target on your back, on my back. You have put all of us in danger" Isla's eyes glisten with unshed tears "I know I stuffed up" Alex grabs her phone from her pocket "Go and sit back with Maggie" "What about food?" Isla asks, "No, we are going home. We can pick something up on the way" "Okay" Isla slumps her head before walking back over to Maggie. Alex sighs before she dials J'onns number "Hi it's Alex, I need you to come and wipe some guys memory" "Yeah I know you don't like to do it" "Isla stuffed up and this is the best way to fix it" "Okay great, see you soon. Thank you J'onn". Alex hangs up and walks over to the booth that is sitting Maggie and Isla, "You two head home and pick up some food. I'm going to meet J'onn here to fix this and he will bring me back to the apartment after" Maggie and Isla pick up their belongings, "I'm sorry Alex" utters Isla "We can talk about it later" Alex replies. Maggie and Isla exit the bar leaving Alex sitting alone at the booth.
Unbeknown to Isla and Alex a man has been lurking in the shadows watching and listening to every word that has been said tonight. The man stands up and exits the building through the back door. Reaching for his phone he dials a number and puts the phone against his ear "I have new developments about Supergirl, I will meet you at the lab in an hour" He puts the phone back into his pocket and walks down the dark alleyway.
