Steve pushed the engine control panel back in as he called over the comm to Stark, "'Kay, the relays are intact."

He turned back towards where Stark had disappeared into the engine and asked. "What's our next move?"

There was a brief silence on the other end of the line for a moment before Stark finally responded, "Even if I clear the rotors, this thing won't re-engage without a jump. . ."

Steve waited for Stark to finish his thought as the genius fell silent suddenly.

Then he continued. ". . . I'm gonna have to get in there and push."

Steve frowned at that, starting to pace worriedly, "Well, if that thing gets up to speed, you'll get shredded!"

Stark started to talk, almost causing Steve to groan, "Then stay in the control unit and reverse polarity long enough to disengage maglev and that should –"

"Speak English!" Steve interrupted in complete frustration.

Stark sounded very annoyed when he responded, "See that red lever?"

Steve turned, beginning to search for the lever as Stark continued, "It'll slow the rotors down long enough for me to get out. Stand by it, wait for my word."

Steve spotted the lever on the other side of the ripped open side of the Hellicarrier. He judged the jump quickly, leaping over the crevasse in one bound and sliding next to the lever quickly. He leaned slightly against the wall and began to wait for Stark's word to pull it.

Percy ran, feeling Annabeth and Jason following him down the hallways as they all headed for the brig. He turned a corner, reaching up towards his comm to try and coordinate with Coulson just as the intercom began to blare out a message.

"WE'VE GOT PERIMETER BREACH. HOSTILES ARE IN SHIELD GEAR. CALL OUT TO EVERY JUNCTION."

"Coulson?" Percy called over the comm. "What's your location?"

Coulson didn't respond.

A lump appeared in Percy's throat at that, and he continued calling out over the comm. "Coulson! Respond! Coulson!"

"Percy?" Jason called, practically huffing behind him. "What is it? What's wrong?"

Percy took a shaky breath as he looked over his shoulder. "Agent Coulson, the agent I'm supposed to meet up with in the prison level, isn't responding on the comms."

"Is that bad?" Annabeth asked, face red and sweaty as her blond hair clung to her skin.

Percy turned back around. "Coulson always responds. Either the comms are down on this level, or Coulson is down. Either option is bad."

"Obviously," Jason said sharply as he tried to get closer to Percy. "Can you slow down, please? You're moving too fast, Percy."

Percy frowned at that and looked behind him again. Both Jason and Annabeth were practically huffing and puffing, sweat rolling down their slightly red faces.

"How are you not tired?" Annabeth asked, her gray eyes staring at Percy in concern. "We've all been full out running ever since we met up."

Percy blinked at that before flinching and starting to slow down his speed. "Sorry. I forgot that I have an enhanced amount of stamina and speed."

"Where did you get that?"

Percy rolled his eyes. "The same place I got the telepathy and telekinesis, Annabeth."

Annabeth fell silent at that.

Jason finally added quietly. "The gods know you weren't in league with Gaea, you know?"

Percy scowled into the distance as he turned another corner. "I don't really care anymore. They didn't trust me. You didn't trust me."

Percy could hear Annabeth let out a pained noise at that. He shook his head and finally added coolly, "I'm sorry, but I'm never going back to camp, or presenting myself to the gods again. I can't forget the fact that you all believed the stupid Earth Mother, over me."

"I'm sorry, Percy," Annabeth finally whispered. "I'm so sorry."

Percy let out a huff. "It doesn't matter anymore."

At that moment the Intercom crackled again.

"WE'VE GOT THE HULK AND THOR ON RESEARCH LEVEL FOUR. LEVELS TWO AND THREE ARE GONE."

Percy closed his eyes slowly at that. "Well, this day is getting worse and worse."

Jason snorted behind him, "You're telling us."

Percy smiled slightly at that as the wove around the next corner, nearly to the prison level.

Steve frowned slightly as two SHIELD agents in black assault gear appeared in the engine area. He started forward to ask them what they were doing here, when one pulled out the grenade.

Steve stiffened and threw himself through the air, batting the grenade away from the engine that the fake agent was aiming for. It exploded into the air.

Steve leaped down the catwalk gracefully, slamming into the man that had thrown the grenade and knocking him onto his back.

The second man came at him, machine gun pointed straight at Steve's head. Steve kicked the man backwards, causing him to drop the machine gun to the deck.

The first man got up and attempted to punch Steve, Steve dodged the blow and sent the man tumbling off the catwalk into the air. The man let out a cry as he disappeared.

A third man came through the door, beginning to fire on Steve with his own machine gun. Steve leaped over the catwalk, dodging bullets and returning fire with the forgotten machine gun on the floor.

He had to hold his ground until Stark cleared the engine. He fell back to the lever, continuing to exchange fire with the man below him.

Natasha was shaking with complete shock and horror at what had nearly happened to her. The Hulk would have killed her if Thor hadn't shown up when he did. She could be dead now. She tried to slow her breathing, trying to calm herself down as much as she could.

The Intercom suddenly blared, "ENGINE ONE IS NOW IN SHUTDOWN."

The Hellicarrier suddenly began to tilt, Natasha wrapped her hands around the pipes closest to her to keep herself steady as she continued to shake and breath slowly.

One of the bridge techs called out over the comms. "Sir, we've lost all power in Engine One."

Fury's voice responded, sounding annoyed, "It's Barton, he took out our systems. He's headed for the detention lab. Does anybody copy?"

Natasha's mind raced at that.

Clint was here.

She slowly raised her hand to her earpiece. "This is Agent Romanoff. I copy."

She staggered to her feet and headed out to locate Clint, hoping that it wasn't too late for her best friend.

Please let him be okay, she thought to herself as she slipped into the vents, heading down the path she knew Clint would take. I owe it to him to make sure he's okay.

Steve grimaced gravely as he continued to fire on the man below him. The man returned fire and Steve moved backwards slightly.

He cursed internally as he lost his footing, barely managing to catch hold of a cable to prevent himself from flying backwards into open air, and freefall.

He started to pull himself back towards the stable ground of the ship, grimacing slightly and hoping that Stark didn't need him anytime soon.

Natasha spotted Barton almost immediately, moving along the passage catwalk, gracefully. She dropped down behind him, beginning to follow him almost silently. She knew he had heard her though, so she wasn't surprised when he spun around, bow raised.

The arrow flew past her as she dodged the blow. She pushed his hand away from her, flipping backwards slightly.

Clint charged her, eyes glowing slightly with anger. Natasha kicked him, rolling underneath some pipes and popping up on the other side of the catwalk. She followed that up with a quick kick to Clint's knee.

He spun, shooting another arrow at her.

Natasha dodge again, sliding back onto the next passage easily.

Clint followed her, just like she had intended.

The fight continues along the catwalk, Natasha dodging and throwing out blows as quickly as Clint himself is moving. It's almost like when there sparring.

Except for the fact that Clint isn't joking around and is moving too brutally, clearly intent on killing or hurting her.

He tried to hit her with his bow.

Natasha grabbed the string, pulling it out of his hands and sending it flying to the ground.

She smacked him in the jaw, and he followed that up with a quick headbutt, nearly knocking Natasha onto the ground.

She leaped away from him, pulling out her daggers.

Clint glares at her, clearly annoyed how long their fight is taking and pulls out his own.

He lunges for her, and Natasha prepares to dodge him.

She will find a way to help him, but first she had to keep him from killing her.

Percy runs into the detention area just in time to see Loki striding over to a panel. The panel that would cause the glass cage to drop through the floor.

The cage that Percy quickly noticed, that now contained Thor instead of the trickster.

Loki was speaking to his brother casually. "The humans think us immortal. Shall we test that?"

Percy lunged for him, ramming the god away from the panel, pulling his gun from its holster the same minute Coulson appeared with a Phase 2 prototype in hand and pointed at Loki.

"Move away please," Coulson said, gravely as Annabeth and Jason moved into the room too.

Loki glanced in between Percy and Coulson; eyes narrowed as if trying to decide what to do.

"Coulson," Percy breathed in relief. "You weren't responding on the comms."

"Apologies, Agent Jackson," the older agent said calmly. "I didn't hear you."

They both turned back to Loki and Coulson continued almost casually, "Do you like this? We started working on the prototype after you sent the Destroyer. Even I don't know what it does."

The weapon began to heat up. "Do you wanna find out?"

Percy smirked slightly at that and moved slightly away from the god as Coulson prepared to fire.

He let out a startled cry when something stabbed up through Coulson's chest.

Thor roared out in utter anger and shock. "NO!"

The Loki in front of them began to dissolve and another Loki, the real Loki appeared behind Coulson as he tumbled to the ground.

He removed his spear from the other agent's chest almost casually as Coulson fell to the ground.

Loki smirked at Percy, clearly pleased with himself.

Percy thrust out a hand in complete and utter rage, throwing Loki backwards away from Coulson's injured body.

He ran towards the man, horror and fear entering him as he dropped to his knees next to the fallen agent and pressed his hand shakily against the wound.

"Coulson!" he called, tone devasted as Jason and Annabeth joined him, their eyes wide. "Coulson, can you hear me?"

". . . Yeah, kid," Coulson mumbled finally, clearly trying to hide the pain in his voice. "I hear you."

"Just hold on." Percy raised one hand to his ear, calling into the comm. "This is Agent Jackson! I need a medical team down to the prison level now! Hurry! Does anyone copy?"

"I'm afraid," Loki noted as he made his way back towards the panel, as Thor stared at Coulson's fallen body in devastation, "that no one will hear you for a while Agent Jackson."

He laughed almost casually as he pressed the button on the panel and Thor and the cage dropped through the floor, leaving them alone with the insane god.

Percy glared at him in complete hate and fury as he continued to keep pressure on the bad wound as Loki started to head in their direction.

Percy stared at the god silently, waiting for whatever drivel the insane god would say.

I don't really think that I'm very good at fight scenes, but I did try my best. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
