"So what was that you wanted to talk to me about" Aang asked Katara.

"Its something I think that we should do. In fact I have been thinking about for awhile now but only now did I want to bring it up" she replied with a worried look on her face.

"I am not really follow you on what this 'something' is" Aang stated.

Katara then went on explain that she think they should find someone else to take care of Toph as she was not something the three of them should be deal with at the moment. They need to focus on having him mastering all four elements so that they can somehow end the war with the Fire Nation.

To this Aang countered that why should not leave Toph with anyone else. First off, she was his earthbending master thus she had to travel with them as how else would she teach him as they could not stay in one place for too long. The Fire Nation was after then and they would attack anywhere he was. This what happened with the North Pole. Sure the Siege of the North was probably going to happen regardless of if he was there or not, but would they have used so many troops or sent so many ships if he was not.

"Are you sure that she is suppose to be your earthbending master though as you just found by accident after all. We have made that mistake before with Master Yu after all" Katara told him.

"I am sure that she is as there must be a reason why the two of us met as she was meant to being one of my master just like you were. That was even before you were acknowledge as one yourself" the avatar told her.

"It just I feel that she might not be the best for our group and she….well…..that is" Katara tried saying but could not get the words out.

Something that normally seem to only happen with Aang was now being experienced by Katara. Various time during this their traveling together Aang had to deal with Katara giving more attention to other guys then himself. Sure there was Meng but Aang did not real show that much interest in being around her as she was mostly trying to get closer to Aang on her own. This was different as Toph was close Aang and he was close to her as well. Made since as they were both each other's master when it came what they needed to be taught.

"What you mean not right for our group? She starting to fit in as we just have to get used to her and she trying to learn to get used to us. She was down there thinking she was wild animal for who know how long. So it taking her time to get used to being around people" Aang said.

"I wonder about the things you have been picking up from here as before we met Toph you would have never used fire bending like you did recently" Katara replied.

"I used fire bending…..that right I did use but I had too as there was no other choice given how Toph was at the moment" he explained.

This was moment that fact had really sunk in fully he did in fact use firebending. Thus he realized maybe swearing off firebending completely was not that good of an idea. He was the avatar a bender who had access to all four elements however he was not that different then any other bender in some aspect. Just because he had access to the elements did not automatically make him a master of them all. He needed to train in them and he rushed his firebending training thus the result of that impatience was burning Katara's hands.

However if he had not done that would Katara had learned that she could heal with waterbending as she only learned because what happened. If Katara did not know already she was a healer then would she had also got that training in the North Pole. After all being a healer was not normal and consider unique. Then there was control as that was need for all the elements not just fire. He could just as easily lose control of the other elements he was learning and possibly harm his master, himself, or anyone around him.
In fact he had to be on his guard when training with Toph as she could and in some cases has harm him to the point where Katara needed to heal him. Although it could have been worse if Toph did not have the control she did.

The second thing was that things happen for a reason as he did not need to swear off firebending back then what he needed to do was learn from his mistake and be patience. Fire could be the element of destruction but that only if you use it merely for destruction. Think about he was sure that other elements could be just as deadly and dangerous if the bender had that mindset.

"Aang what are you doing" Katara asked as she notice he summon a flame

"As the avatar I am not merely an airbender alone but also the other three as well. So I should keep denying that I am firebender as well that might cause problems later on when I need to master the element" he said.

Then Aang picked up on something that went over his head previous because he was distracted by the part about him using firebending.

"What's wrong with what I am learning from Toph as because of her training me the way she does I have learned a lot" the avatar asked.

What do we really know about her as she could be too much of a wild card. You saw her while she was in that feral state as she probably did not even recognize who we were and could have killed Ty Lee" Katara said

"What do you really know about me when we first met other then I was an airbender then later the avatar. Also how is Toph feral state that different then me in the avatar state. I just attack who I deem as an enemy be they friend or foe" he countered.

As Aang and Katara continued to talk meanwhile at the same time…

Sokka had taken Toph away mostly because other then Aang he was the only one in the group that even understood Toph a little. Aang was the only one that could really fully understand thus the reason most time they depended on him to inform them of what was his earthbending master was trying to say.

Though that did not mean that neither of the Water Tribe Siblings could not at least guess as Sokka was sending more time with her alone then Katara did. There were a few reasons why this was happening between Katara and Toph, one of them was Aang was always around or they were all together as group. Needing Aang to interrupt kind of made so that he need to be around most of the time.

Toph was curious about why she was not being told about what happened as she did not recall them landing and normally she always knows when they do. Appa touching down on the ground was something she could always tell because of her hearing. She could tell the difference between ground landing and Appa's feet coming in contact with something else.

"Say Toph can you say something that does not have the letter A,N,G,T,O,P, or H in them" he asked curiously.

Recently she shocked them by manage to say her own name which they did not she was capable of doing at the moment. Aang teaching her how to speake normally was going slowly as he spent a large amount of time just trying to teach her about modesty and basic manners.

"No" Toph replied

"What do you and Aang even talk about while we are all eating as I understand some of it but not all of it" he asked.

"A ton" Toph told him

'Interesting' Sokka thought as he wonder if Toph who could understand them was able to speak just fine it just she did not understand all the letter needed to form words.

Toph head then perked up and look towards the direction that Aang and Katara had walked off to. Aang and Katara's talk continued but as it did the two said things that cause them both to get more angry with each other until the two of them just walked off royally pissed off at the each other.

"Aang?" Toph asked curiously as to what happened.

"Why are you soaking wet" Sokka asked.

"I do not want to talk about it" Aang replied.
