Hello everyone, here is another one shot, this time from my new story Competition AU
This is Ace making a song that just fits with everything, and how the pirates like it, it is a bit of a short one

Ace had been with them for almost a year now, and things were going great, and it was time for the competition again. They were automatically in because of Ace, but they would get their own spot this year. Ace was still part of True Future, but he helped them along as well. He wanted to keep True Future, and it was fine, they didn't mind it. Ace seemed happy with them, and they were excited for this again. They would get a spot as soon as they could. But, as the days moved by, the time for Ace to sing as True Future came up. As they were heading onto stage, Trevor stayed behind for a few seconds, before he looked at him. "You will love this song. Ace made it for you guys. He didn't want to tell, as he wanted it to be a surprise." Whitebeard nodded and Trevor put his mask on and headed onto the stage. Everyone beside Law still wore a mask, not wanting to be recognized, which was also fine. And now he was curious about this, what song this would be. He didn't know Ace was making a new one, as he usually kept them in the loop with his new songs.
Ace then gave a hello to everyone, before he started up with his guitar, his voice soon joining in. "Hey Brother, there's an endless road to re-discover. Hey Sister, Know the water's sweet but blood is thicker. Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do. Hey Brother, do you still believe in one another? Hey Sister, do you still believe in love I wonder?. Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you. There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do. What if I'm far from home? Oh Brother I will hear you call. What if I lose it all? Oh Sister I will help you out! Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you. There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do."
Whitebeard blinked, listening to the song, just feeling stunned and amazed. Ace made a song for the family, and it sounded to be an amazing one. This was an amazing surprise, a really nice one. Ace had settled good with the family, even Law had the times he was with them, and things were just going fine. This proved that. Ace then continued the song. "Hey Brother, there's an endless road to re-discover. Hey Sister, do you still believe in love I wonder? Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you. There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do. Aaaaaah, What if I'm far from home? Oh brother I will hear your call What if I lose it all? Oh sister I will help out! Ooooh if the sky comes falling down, for you. There's nothing in this world I wouldn't do." Ace then played on for a bit, before it ended. Everyone in the audience was cheering, everyone loved the songs Ace made, and he was magnificent at it, and he had helped them so much, so they actually had a chance this year.
As Ace came down from the stage and behind the scene, he took his mask off, and everyone moved over and almost lifted Ace up, cheering. It was an amazing song, and it was made for them. Everyone was overjoyed as it was an amazing one. They then moved back to their room, deciding this needed to be celebrated, and started that up. But as they were, everyone talking about the song, Thatch spoke up. "But I wonder, the 'water sweet but blood is thicker', doesn't that mean blood is more important than what we are?" Ace shook his head. "No. The full quote is: 'The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.' The original meaning of the phrase was blood shed on the battlefield creates a stronger bond between soldiers than simple familial or genetic ties. Basically that blood is not important, other kinds are." Thatch blinked. "Wow, I didn't know that. Did everyone know that?" A few shook their heads, while a few nodded. Whitebeard knew it, he had heard it before. It fit with everything they stood for.
Things were going amazingly, and he couldn't wait for their chance to show what they had learned.
