Been busy all month, and I finally had time to update this. :) Thank you for your patience.
It was now April. Granger continued to care for Hetty, and whether she wanted to admit it or not, she was falling more in love with him with each thing that he did.
Hetty continued to see Nate on occasion. Her bad dreams were farther and farther apart. However, there were still small incidents that worried her. Like her back sometimes hurting when it rained, and a freakish case involving serial killers almost causing her to have a panic attack in private.
'It's normal. As long as it doesn't occur very often, you're fine.' Nate told her.
Still, Hetty still wondered if she would ever feel 100% normal again.
Hetty was about to leave when her phone rang.
'Hey. Just letting you know I arrived safely.' Granger said.
'Well thank you! How is it up there in the mountains?' Hetty asked.
'Very cold! A few guys here are joking about wanting to make snowmen, but it's too cold out! (chuckle). How are you doing?'
'Taking the day off to see how Keane is doing. He hasn't been checking in with me or Nate, and I'm a bit concerned.'
'Oh. Well, I hope he's okay.' Granger replied, empathically.
'I hope so too.'
That evening
'You know, you didn't have to buy this old beach house back for me. But I'm glad you did.' Hetty said when Owen called.
'No big. That new owner didn't really want it anyways. Besides, that was where we first slept together. So it was special to me.' Granger replied.
Smiling. 'It was special to me too.'
'How's Keane?'
'Struggling with what he did before he was captured. Can't say I blame him. But, I think I convinced him to finally go talk to Nate. So hopefully he starts feeling better soon.' Hetty replied.
'You take good care of him. You got him a nice place to live a couple weeks after coming home, he's lucky to have you.'
'I know. Just hope he knows he's deserving of his 2nd chance at life.'
'Well, take care of yourself, and I'll see you in hopefully another week.' Granger said, about to hang up.
'You take care of yourself as well. Don't let the Red team work you too hard. And Owen, I really appreciate everything you've done for me.' Hetty replied in gratitude.
Smiling. 'You're welcome.'
