Author´s Note. This is part two of the chapter yesterday, basically 57 2/2. In a few days I will maybe delete both and upload them as one chapter. This isn´t the grand final of the story, that is to come. But I thought about it, I can´t do it in one chapter as an epic in Tiona´s POV. So I will make it an arc, sorry if I said otherwise before.

Telling it all as an epic would mostly rob away the interaction between the characters.

We basically dive into Tiona´s epic, while she writes it. So there will be various POVs.

It will be the one and only time where I write an arc about the OEBD, in Change of Fates it will not appear. I decided to not write about their child being a baby and the first years, that would be too similar to Like a Fairy.

Instead I will write about Ais´ and Bell´s life with ****** after the finale.

So instead of just two chapters left, there will be more.

Sorry for saying otherwise before, but I changed my mind to make it better. There is just so much I want to make with the characters.

mairsarmy321: I hope your questions are answered, there is still much to tell about their everyday life.

Deefetiatlas2: I don´t remember the number of the chapter, but before the Expedition started, I mentioned that Aki was pregnant and that Finn forbid Raul to do anything risky so that he wouldn´t die during the Expedition. She gave birth shortly after the end of the Expedition.

Six and a half years later.

"Ouch, Ouch, Ouch...Ouchie..."

Tiona walked very carefully on her crutches, her left leg slightly drawn up, everything in a cast below the knee. With a slight groan, she sat down in her padded chair and laid her shattered, and only slowly healing, left leg on a stool with a small cushion on it.

"Owie...thinking about doing this again while high on painkillers...I hope they aren't the reason for my creativity..."

Tiona was twenty-eight now, but due to her high level she didn´t looked older than twenty-one or two. Carefully she pulled an empty book towards her, a stack of notes was on her right side, tea and nibs on her left.

"Hmmm, so where do I start...I guess Argo´s idea could be a good start. Alright, here we go."

.

.
Let me tell you a story dear readers, a story about a wonderful couple, deeply connected by love and determination. We used to call them our little hero couple, but that is a thing of the past. It was always so cute to see them around each other, I finally found out just how long Bell was in love with Ais.
Right from the first moment on when she saved his life from a minotaur, can you believe that? It was love at first sight and that after a bloodfilled frenzy, for me as an amazon this is so romantic.

They both have fought countless battles together or separated from each other. At some point they eventually found together, I can´t say how relieved the familia was when Ais finally got something else in her head than just fighting and getting stronger. They were a strange couple and first, these two.
Things didn´t went well at the start but they showed and announced their love for each other in a wargame against the Freya Familia. For those who didn´t saw this fight with their own eyes...I´m sorry for you...Argo showed all of Orario that Ais belonged to him, you could say he claimed her...true romance.

Both were happy with each other, but there was always a shadow lurking inside of Ais, I only got this information recently. She was afraid and filled with despise for a special monster, a monster among monsters. A titan of death, the black sky. The true name that he was given was the "One Eyed Black Dragon",
the one that fought against the hero Albert Waldstein, aaah how I loved this story. He was the one that cut out one of the dragon´s eyes, giving him his name like that. The same dragon destroyed a thousand years later the Hera and Zeus Familias.

Some may wonder about the name similarity between Albert Waldstein and our Ais Wallenstein, I was pretty shocked too when I was told by herself that Albert Waldstein was her father! Can you believe that? Our cute little airhead is actually over a thousand years old, she looks pretty good for her age.

But back to the topic, due to Argo, Ais opened up more and more, did things we would have never expected her to do. When he asked her for her hand in marriage, it was truly romantic, a whole stageplay was done for that purpose. And he only asked her after they had a fight like I have never seen before against each other.
If Ais hadn´t said yes to Argo, probably all amazons in Orario would have gone after him, he is crazy strong.

Time went on and after one of our Expedtiions something had changed. It might not shock anyone, but Ais eventually had a baby inside her belly. Some of us were shocked, but what did they expect to happen when they were a couple so deeply in love?

After the Expedition, both needed a bit of rest and decided to have a small vacation in Edas village, both were there before a few years ago. During this vacation, it happened that Argo got an idea, the first time he displeased Ais and they had something of a small fight if you want to call it like that.

For that you have to know that Edas village was surrounded by ten small shrines, each contained a scale of the big, black dragon. After he fought against Albert Waldstein in the past and flew away, he lost some of his scales there. The aura of these scales were the reason why the village never got attacked by monsters.

In the past he had other worries, but when they went past one of these shrines...Ais really hated them because of the source of the scales...Argo suddenly got an idea.

He asked Ais if these scales were technically dropp items.

Ais immediatelly understood what this question implied. And she got angry because of that. She felt nothing but despise for the black dragon and all that belonged to him, we can´t blame her for that. She had asked Argo if he really had the idea to use the scales like one would use dropp items.
Later she told me it took a while for her to calm down and listen to his idea.

You know the One Eyed Black Dragon is the strongest monster that we ever knew of, so the parts of his body...the dropp items...should be extraordinary strong. But Argo and Ais weren´t smiths, so they couldn´t do much by themself about his theory. I have to say that no one else beside them knew about these scales, they never told one before.

When they returned to Orario from their vacation, there was fire in their eyes. Argo gathered all of our highest members, a few goddesses including lady Hephaistos and her captain, as well as the smith of his Familia. All of them listened to his explanation and got big eyes.
All of us knew the story about the three big quests and there was a chance that the black dragon would one day attack Orario.

If he wouldn´t do it on his own, Ais and Argo would have come for him later anyway.

Our commander got quiet after he heard all that.

The next Expedition got canceled and instead a big group headed to Edas Village. Including Loki, goddess Hephaistos, lady Hestia, god Goibniu and a few of their best smiths.

To say the villagers were happy about our captains and the gods request would be a lie, but they allowed them to look at the scales and examine them carefully. Cyclops, lady Hephaistos´ captain literally started to drool when she saw these scales.
Argo´s friend, the smith with the red hair that got accompanied by a living flame spirit, also looked fascinated at the scales.

Never before had they seen something like that, dropp items of dragon type monsters from the dungeon couldn´t be compared to that. Cyclops even had problems with her tools to just get a tiny piece of one of the scales, they were just that hard.

Lady Hephaistos and lord Goibniu, as well as their best smiths, were sure, these scales could be formed into the strongest weapons they had ever created. But they had the feeling only weapons and shields should be crafted, an armor could have a bad influence on the person wearing it.

The villagers didn´t wanted to give us the scales, it wasn´t hard to understand why. These scales protected the village and the black dragon never came back for over a thousand years, so why give away the scales?

The talk was very long, we aren´t people that just take what they want.

In the end it was a blessing that lady Hestia was there, she eventually convinced the villagers. Our Familia and the Hestia Familia, as well as sometimes the Ganesha Familia, would send adventurers to protect the village. At all time there would be six adventurers in the village, waiting until six others arrived before they went back to Orario.
They would change every week, Loki called this "The vacation Quest". Mostly it were those of us that needed a break, monsters out there weren´t strong.

Out of the ten scales, we took six, the biggest ones. The other four were not bigger than my head.

Believe it or not, the forging processs for each scale took nearly a year. They had to create new forges that could withstand the sheer heat that was necessary.

Six scales.

The biggest one was nearly as tall as I am.

They were tough, incredibly tough. Riveria unleashed her magic onto one of them, nothing happened. It let us gulp a bit, imagine these scales being part of a living, flying monster...that they were probably part of a small wound for that one...scary.

The question was, which weapons to forge out of them. One of the six was used for a big shield, even Orichalcum wasn´t that heavy. Gareth would be the one to wield the shield. Each of our strongest members would get weapons made from the scales, but were forbidden to use them. The weapons were locked away,
sealed behind magic to make sure their influence wouldn´t spread, they had a kind of evil aura around them.

Finn had argued they would need the weapons against the black dragon if it came one day, since the scales of a dragon were harder than the flesh beneath them. And since the scales were forged into weapons, they should be harder than the original scales.

Each of the weapons received a name that was fitting for it. At first I thought about naming my "Urga IV", but the gods forbid it.

Lord Goibniu and Lady Hephaistos each forged half of the weapons and named them.

Ruin.

Damnation.

Apocalypse.

Ragnarök.

Doom.

Extinction.

Forgebreaker...it was a hammer that had destroyed seventeen anvils to get forged, the one that would get this weapon was the captain of the Freya Familia.

Downfall.

Demise.

These and other names were given. Each of us were only allowed to test the weapons a bit to get used to them, since they were really heavy and felt...nasty...to hold.

Then we locked them away and waited for the day that they would be needed.

It took four years and the best smiths of two gods were needed until the weapons were ready.

Tiona shook her hand and relaxed her fingers after writing the first part.

"Mmmh, I can feel the painkillers kicking in."

With new creativity, she continued to write.

.

Ais had changed, very much. She was a Mommy now and never since she got pregnant did she went into the dungeon again. Even her sword was only held rarely by her. You have to know that she was different from all of us in a special way. We became adventurers because we wanted to, wanted to accomplish something or did it for the fun of it.
Ais wans´t like that, she became an adventurer out of despare and hatred. Only one goal had driven her in her life, to slay the black dragon. In a way, deep inside her heart, a part of Ais was still a scared child that just wanted her peacefull life and her parents back. Only Riveria and Argo might know how much she had cried in her life because of that.

She never thought about the time when she would have reached her goal.

But thanks to Argo, she had now a future ahead of her.

It started when she got pregnant, her feelings got stronger and then her world turned around at one special day. As did Riveria´s...and her hands.

.

.
"Ack! Ow! Hnnngh!"

"Ais, I´m here. I´m here."

"I can see the head, give me one more push!"

"Hnnngh! Owie!"

Ais was drenched from sweat, her hair clung to her head. She sat on a special bed in the hospital of the Dian Cecht Familia, wore only a light hospital shirt. Riveria stood behind Ais and held her hands, it was really painfull due to Ais´ strength.
Amid was in front of Ais´ opened legs, two other female doctors were nearby to help. The scene of Ais giving birth was not a usual one. Golden and green wind slightly whirled around her, her belly shone as her body prepared itself from getting separated from her baby.

The birth of a demi-spirit was very much like a normal baby, only with more magic involved. It was probably different from Ais´ birth, since her mother was a pure spirit. Bell wasn´t in the room but he paced up and down in front of the door, jerking up by every loud noise that his wife made.
The hospital didn´t allowed men to be present during childbirth, so the only one from her Familia was Riveria.

Amid had to use her hands more instead of her eyes, since the light surrounding Ais got so bright at the end, that it blinded her a bit.

They all heard Ais groan when the baby finally came out. For her it was more than just giving birth, mother and child were connected through her magic, one could say her baby were a bit part of her, like she was of her mother.

"Hah...hah...hah...uff..."

Riveria groaned in her mind and shook out her hands after Ais finally let go of her. She watched how her little girl sunk back into the pillows and panted exhausted.

"Ms. Wallenstein."

Amid came carefully to her, holding a small bundle in her hands. Ais immediatelly opened her eyes and tried to lean a bit forward.

"Shh, steay seated."

The healer leaned forward and gently shifted the baby into Ais´ arms.

"Ah...Aaah..."

Ais´ vision got blurry when she looked down. That was a baby...her baby...she was a Mommy now. In the moment that Ais held her baby in her arms, the baby stopped crying and just quacked a little.
She couldn´t describe with words how it felt to hold her baby, magical.

For a while, Ais could only look at her baby, not even noticing how the healers left the room.

"Ais."

"Riveria, look."

The elf smiled while she looked at the baby.

"I will go and get Bell."

"Thank you."

Ais was completely absorbed by the new life in her arms.

.

.
Argo was the first to see the baby after Riveria left the room, of course it should be like that, he is the father. Both were so happy about it, but the birth took a huge toll on Ais, she was very exhausted.

A son.

Ais and Argo got a son. Unlike other people who have the money to visit the hospital of the Dian Cecht Familia, they didn´t knew if it would be a daughter or a son, since the magic item only shone golden.

But they had talked about the name beforehand. In case it would be a daughter, they would have called her Ariadne, a really old name that I like. Ais got a bit exhausted when she talked with Argo about a name for a boy. He had about twenty different ideas, all names of old heroes.
Ais was strictly against that.

But in the end it was a name that Argo came up with, a name that Ais really liked.

Albrecht

They had talked long for a fitting name in case it would be a son. While Argo came up with hero names, Ais coudln´t think of a good one. So when Argo stopped mentioning hero names, he thought for a while until he spoke that name. Argo knows that Ais loved her father, missed him very much up to this day. Albrecht sounded different yet similar enough, naming her own son Alberrt wouldn´t be good.

So their son was named Albrecht Wallenstein, or in short "Al" for most people, a few would call him "Alb".

And he is so cuuuuuute! His face looks exactly like Argo´s, but he has golden eyes and hair like Ais has. It is easy to see who his parents are.

And he easily got the charm of his father, every women of our Familia and Argo´s loved Albrecht the moment they saw him. But well he is a baby and they are all cute.

Ais became really mature after Albrecht was born, all of her thinking was about her baby and Argo.

I know Ais from the past and let me tell you, she never was this happy before.

But not everything was good and nice, many of our female members got jealous about Ais. Not because of her baby, as cute as he was, but because of her body. One week after giving birth to Albrecht, Ais´ body showed no sign of childbirth anymore. No stretchmarks, nothing about her chest had changed.

It´s really convenient to be a demi-spirit...

It took a few months until Argo went into the dungeon again, Albrecht cried a lot since his father was away for many hours. Ais did her best to calm him down, but he squeaked again when Bell returned. Slowly, over the course of many weeks, they got Albrecht used to it.
Ais didn´t went in the dungeon again, she wanted to be there for Albrecht. This was her dream all along, to have a happy family. And we all helped her with it, Riveria more than any other person, most of us guessed that Albrecht really saw her as his grandmother, it was wise to not speak this word in Riveria´s presence.

.

.
Both of them matured more and loved their son more than anything else, but there was a reason why I am writing this story now.

Ais´ senses were always very fine, we don´t know exactly how she did it, but Ais sensed it when it happened.

Right after Albrecht´ fifth birthday...the One Eyed Black Dragon awakened from his slumber. When it happened in the far north, the dragon valley, Ais sensed something. Maybe she was connected to that dragon in a way, but she felt that danger was coming.
Someone else in Orario sensed it too, even when she didn´t exactly understood what she saw. She belongs to the Miach Familia and has prophetic dreams from time to time.

In her dream, a massive shadow would come over Orario and wanted to destroy the city.

.

.
"Mama!"

"Eheh, Albrecht, do you like the view?"

"Yes! Papa, look!"

With his tiny hands, Albrecht waved to the north, where the Beol mountains were.

"I see it, Albrecht. This is our favorite spot, your Mama trained me here."

"Really?!"

"Yes she did."

Albrecht beamed all over his face, his golden eyes shone and his hair looked so similar to Ais´. Ais wore a long, white dress and held him in her arms, after taking him from Bell. He had let Albrecht sit on his shoulders while they walked here.

"You made Papa strong?"

Ais smiled happily.

"I guess I did."

Albrecht beamed even more to his father now.

.

.
Far, far away in the Dragon Valley, something arose from it´s slumber. For over twenty years it had slept, but not it sensed something. Over a thousand years ago it had killed a hero and devoured a spirit, held it keptive inside itself.

This monster had many names. The titan of death. The one eyed king. The prime black dragon. And many more.

The whole valley started to rumble when this enormous dragon started to rise from it´s sleep. As smart as this dragon was, it was still only a monster. It couldn´t form words in it´s head, was bound to it´s desires.

It sensed something delicious, a spirit like the one it had eaten. Like the one who´s power was nearly gone now.

The time was here for a feast.

.

.
On the wall of Orario, Ais Wallenstein got suddenly stiff while she held her young son in her arms, the love of her life next to her.

Author´s Note 2: About Albrecht "Al", At first he was named "Esepius or Pius", but I wasn´t 100 % sure with this name, I like Albrecht more.
