As the title says, this is about Garp

I hope you'll enjoy this

Read and relax

There was a marine boat closing in on them, and it wasn't battle ready for some reason. Marco gave a hum. "We think it is Vice Admiral Garp, yoi." Whitebeard nodded, they had spoken now and then, but this was a rare event. But Deuce, who also was out, gave a hum. "Let him board. I'll get Ann." The captain fronwed. "Get Ann? She knows him?" Deuce nodded. "Yeah, she does." He was about to ask something else, but Deuce just walked away. Well then, they would let him board, as long as he didn't seem to want a fight. Which it didn't, and when he boarded, he looked at him. "Where is Ann?" He was about to say she was on her way, when Ann was suddenly hugging the man, having run up. "Garp!" Garp gave a breath as he hugged back. "You're okay. Finally my heart can rest." Ann gave a chuckle as she let go. "Do you think I wouldn't be okay?" Garp gave a breath. "No, they are good people, I am just glad to finally see you again." Ann nodded. "Same."

Whitebeard was shocked that Ann knew Garp, and it seemed like she knew him well. Garp then looked at Ann. "Where is little Luffy?" Ann gave a smile. "Sleeping. I just needed to see if it was you. Let me get him, I can put him in his stroller." Garp nodded. "Sure, go do that." For being a loudmouth at times, Garp seemed so… calm. Ann then left, and as she was around a corner, he looked at Garp. "How do you know her, Garp?" Garp hummed. "I knew her parents, promised her mother to care for her, her last wish." Whitebeard nodded, that meant she wasn't around anymore. "How did she die?" Garp sighed. "She carried Ann for 20 months, the strain was too much, and she died shortly after giving birth." That didn't sound good. Izou had a frown. "Why did she do that? That couldn't be good." Garp sighed. "She needed to, to create less suspicion to her child." Whitebeard frowned. "Why did she need to do that? Who was her mother?" He was really curious now.

Garp sighed. "Her mother was Portgas D Rouge." That made sense, as Ann's name was Portgas. And that name sounded familiar for some reason. "I am not sure who that is. Was she wanted?" Garp shook his head. "No, but her father was." The captain frowned more. "Who was that?" Garp blinked. "You don't know? She hasn't told?" They all shook their heads, and Garp sighed. "What was a huge thing 8-12 months before she was born? If she had been born on time, what was the navy doing?" Whitebeard did his best to think, when Haruta spoke. "Wait, weren't they screening each child born then? That random rumor Roger had a child on the way?" Garp nodded. "Yes, but it wasn't a rumor. That was Ann." They all blinked, before the captain got where he had heard Portgas D Rouge from, she was someone who, only those who knew Roger well, knew she was a love interest.

The captain looked at Garp. "Is this true? How did you know?" Garp sighed. "Her mother confided in me, she figured she needed a marine to help her, and that was me. No one really looked at her since she carried 11 over the original due date. So I took her and placed her on a safe, or what I thought, would be a safe island. Left her with some people there, that wouldn't care who her father was, and she was raised there. I visited now and then. Before I once got there and she was gone. When I asked around, everyone was like 'that whore left with her bastard of a father as she was pregnant.' And I was shocked and mad, I had no idea that island was so judging. Was so mad, then I found her, and Luffy was a month old I think, so cute, and she seemed somewhat okay, but I needed to leave quickly. Then she disappeared again and I heard she was here. So, now I am here." That did make sense.

The captain was on his way to speak when Ann came from around a corner with the stroller to Luffy, and Garp looked at her. "Why haven't you told them about your father?" Ann gave a frown. "You told me to never tell people about that." Garp sighed. "Well yeah, to normal people. These aren't that, these are nice people, and you are a part of them." Ann shrugged. "I followed your words." Garp nodded. "And that is good, but you should have told this." Ann shrugged, before she was next to Garp with the stroller. "I did want to, but you said not to tell anyone." Garp shook his head. "You're such a good person." Garp then looked down in the stroller. "Oh my God! He is so big!" Ann nodded. "He has grown since you last saw him." Garp nodded. "Well yeah. And now he doesn't seem like a potato sack." Ann gave a small glare. "Don't be calling my baby no potato sack." Garp gave a small chuckle. "I'm sorry, but he kinda was." All babies were like that, as they couldn't even move their heads.

They then talked about things and the world, before Luffy cried a bit as he woke, so Ann moved to take him out of the stroller and let Luffy down on the ground, where he stood and looked around, before he saw the new person, and he small baby, very slowly, walked towards the new person. When Luffy was close enough, Garp lifted him. "You can walk already?!" Luffy was now barely over a year old. Ann nodded. "Yes, he can. He also knows some words." As they spoke, Luffy looked at Garp with big eyes, and he expected Luffy to start crying, as he did when he was in a stranger's arms. But Luffy didn't, he just looked at the marine, before Luffy started to play with his coat, and when Luffy figured out it wasn't that much to play with, he moved to look at his mother with his arms out "Mommy!" Ann gave a chuckle and moved over and took her child, who moved to lean against Ann.

As he was safe in his mother's arms, Garp looked at Ann. "He is so perfect. He's lucky to have you and them." Ann gave a smile. "Yeah, he is." They then spoke about this and that, before Garp needed to leave, to not cause too much suspicion. As he was leaving, Ann moved and hugged the man and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Bye, Garp." Garp smiled. "Goodbye, Ann. I'll visit again." Ann smiled at that. "I would like that." Then Garp left. As Garp was gone, he looked at Ann. "Is your father really Gol D Roger?" Ann nodded. "Yeah. My birth name was actually Gol, but I changed it to honor my mother. Garp told me to never tell anyone. He wasn't especially liked." That was true, most didn't like him, but Whitebeard had. "Who else knows this?" Ann hummed. "Shanks does. Eh… not so many more actually." Whitebeard nodded, he wished Ann would have told this, but now he knew. No wonder Ann was a strong woman, her father and mother were as well. He had never really met Rouge, but she knew she could order Roger around, as she was so stern and strong. This was amazing, he had always hoped those rumors were true, that he had a child, and he did, and not only that, but he knew that child, Whitebeard had that child in his family. He was glad he could give Ann a good home.
