I know I did this before, and I´m sorry about it.

I will not write about the fight against the OEBD directly.

I´m sitting here for two days now, have my full script for the OEBD fight and just nothing comes out. I wanted to write the fight against the OEBD one time in my stories, but I can´t. He is like the final super boss and the fight would have just been "too epic" for my taste.

There is a maximum number of epic explosions, epic magic spells, epic attacks, epic bla bla bla, at some point it doesn´t feel exciting anymore.

What I´m going to do, is writing it in reverse, I hope that makes sense. Which means a few flashbacks, but mostly I will go on with the story, which will only have one chapter left. Partly I´m just done with Spirit Child and have to force myself to write something for this story, and I want to change that, to find fun again with it, I think the chapters will get better then again.
I don´t know what happened but it isn´t fun for me anymore. When I write just one shot chapters or for Change of Fate, thousands of words come out easily. But for Spirit Child...somehow it just gets harder and harder.

I won´t abandon the story but will continue it.

The fight with the Black Snake in Like a Fairy, the Hydra in Spirit Child were pretty easy to write, since it were my monsters and I knew what they could do and what not. But the OEBD is just too strong and powerful, the fight had to be done right to feel good and I don´t think I can do that.

In the final chapter there will be a few flashbacks to the fight, but not the fight in a whole. One part of me fears I would write it too easy for Bell and the others, another that I would just drag the fight on and on and on. I read a book recently where 90% is just fighting, fighting and fighting, I read a thousand times that one raised his sword or striked that down.
And for this story I thought "Do I really want this?"

As someone wrote before, the interaction between the characters is more interesting. And I´m not a fan of letting people talk in a heavy fight, at least not much.

Now that I said that, I´m sitting on the next chapter for Spirit Child and the words keep flowing again, since I can write about the characters and not the endless fight.

I'm sorry for the constant back and forth, between wanting to write the whole fight or not.

Ever since I started the story, since it was about Ais, I had something like the shadow of the OEBD lurking in the backround, since I see no way that Ais would just live happily with Bell without facing this monster.

And since Spirit Child had enough big fights, I want to write a bit more slice of life and fun arcs.

So the next chapter will build the bridge between the OEBD and the ongoing story. I don´t want the story to end just after the fight against the OEBD. There is a whole arc in my mind that is more free and sometimes a bit silly, the Xenos and Fels will play a role in there. And also Albrecht of course, their family time is important for me.

Personally I think that will be better for the story.

And again a last time, I´m sorry. Also, that doesn´t mean the story ends, I just want to get the OEBD off my shoulders without having to write a mega long arc or chapter just to have it read similar to the hydra arc.

But you will see what I mean in the next chapter.

I have already fun again to write a chapter for Spirit Child, and that was my reason to start the story in the first place.

I wrote this here as an mini extra chapter, since I think some people would skip the Author´s note and just read the chapter and then be confused.

Oh and I also deleted chapter 22, the Mini Explanation, since it doesn´t matter anymore what I wrote there.
