From the moment he saw her, Fred had been unable to stop thinking about Harry's twin sister. She had entered his mind first, then his heart and it felt like she had spread in every cell of his body. He had never felt anything similar before, neither had his brother and he couldn't help but put her first in every decision he took in his life. In every thought, she was there, taken into account.

Of course he told his twin brother, they never hide anything from each other and he wanted to make sure that his brother didn't feel the same way, or it would have greatly complicated things. Thankfully, George didn't feel the same, he only saw her as a friend, slowly becoming like a little sister, but nothing romantic.

Over the summer, he had decided to take his time, let her settle down in her new life and new house in school before he made his move, though it was hard to hold himself back and to just stand by when all he wanted to do was declare his love for her every time she smiled, or spoke, or breathed.

Sending her a rose every day had already been a big hold back for him. he wanted to swipe her off her feet, to take her out for a meal at midnight, under the stars. he wanted to hold her and be the one who always made her laugh... he had managed to hold on this long, for his initial plan to finally ask her out, in the most romantic manner he could think off, on Valentine's day, but, as the days passed at Hogwarts, he realized that valentine's day was very far away and he didn't know if he'd be able to wait this long.

"I'm telling you, Potter's sister's hot. I wouldn't mind taking her out if you know what I mean." A boy from their house said to his friend as they walked past the Weasley twins.

Unable to stop himself, Fred hexed the guy so that his toenails would keep on growing without stopping and rushed away with an angry frown on his face, followed by Lee and George.

"What was that?" Lee asked Fred.

"I didn't like the way he spoke about her. He's lucky this is all I did to him." Fred replied with a frown.

"If you insist on sticking to your original plan, you're taking the risk of another guy snatching her up from under your nose or hearing talk about her this way more often. I think you should make your move sooner." Lee advised.

"But my plan was perfect and romantic! She would have loved it! Charm her slowly until Valentine's day and on Valentine's day ask her out with messages sent to her, one word each day before Valentine's day with a perfect pretty rose. It won't be as perfect if I do it sooner!" Fred complained.

"It's your choice, brother, but you'll have to be careful if you want to wait." George shook his head.

"I'll just have to pay more attention to who spends time with her and have a little talk with each of them." Fred decided.

"It's your decision." Lee sighted.

"Who are we talking to first?" George asked him.

"Neville, I overheard her offering him help with his homework earlier today and I want everything to be clear to him. I overheard Harry telling Ron that Rose and Neville have written to each other a bit after their birthday. Maybe it was just help for homework, but I want things to be very clear to him that she's off limits." Fred decided, determined on keeping to his original plan.

"Alright, but we'll do that later or we'll be late for Sirius' class." George declared and the three of them started running to make sure they weren't late.

.

Though at first everyone pointed to Rose like they usually did Harry, they quickly got used to having her around and as for classes, teachers seemed amused by the friendly competition that was taking place between Rose and Hermione. Some students from other houses started to grow jealous and studied harder, to try and compete with the two girls.

"I don't get it. How can you be so good in class when you don't study as hard as Hermione?" Ron complained as Rose, having already finished all of her homework, tried to help Neville understand the last potion lesson.

"I've never had to study too hard. I remember easily after having heard or read something once. I don't know how, I try not to question it. Remus told me our father was the same so maybe it's genetic." Rose shrugged her shoulders.

"He said that mom was smart and a very good student, but she needed to work hard, dad barely worked and he still managed to get the best grades, which infuriated mom." Harry added.

"Our Rose is simply a genius, get used to it Ronnie. She'll lead us all one day." Fred declared.

"I'm sure that if she studied like Hermione, she could pass the NEWT exams by the end of this year instead of the OWLs." George added.

"I'd rather not find out. I like having free time to do what I love." She replied.

"And what is that? What clubs are you going to join?" Fred asked her.

"Well, I'd like to join the choir, because I love to sing, but I've heard that they only do old songs, no new songs so I'll probably pass on that. I think I'd like to join the Ancient Magic club though, because I was in similar clubs in my previous schools and I love to learn about old magic, but I was thinking of starting my own club too. I know it's not something that's very frequent around here but in America, they have cheerleading and I'd like to start something like that here. Something to cheer on the Quidditch team… I've made an appointment with Professor McGonagall to talk to her about this next week. It'll probably take some convincing because it's very new but I'm hopeful." Rose replied.

"That's a great idea! I'd love to join!" Lavender squealed.

"Would it be a team to cheer just our house or all houses?" Harry asked her while he put the finishing touches to his homework.

"I don't know, definitely our house. I guess it depends, maybe some girl from other houses will want to join and we can cheer on either house when they're not playing against each other, or they can start their own team. I mean, if only a couple of girls from another house join, we can accept them and cheer when our team plays or when their team plays and when they're playing each other, we each cheer on our own team. We'll see." Rose explained.

"I can't wait!" Parvati clapped her hands.

"I hope you'll allow us to watch the practices." Fred joked.

"We'll probably practice when you guys train." Rose smiled.

"And you think McGonagall is going to allow you to start this team?" Hermione asked her.

"I don't see why not. I saw nothing in the school's rules that would prevent it." Rose shrugged.

"I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, gorgeous." Fred told Rose with a wink before he joined his brother and his friend to a corner of the common room to work on their products.

"Do you have outfits in mind already?" Parvati asked her.

"Probably something typical of this kind of activity… A short skirt, a top, pompoms… All in the color of the house of course. Maybe red skirt and golden top, each with the other color on it, and the Gryffindor emblem in the heart. As for the pompoms, probably both colors mixed." She replied.

"I'll start working on ideas if you want." Lavender offered and Rose nodded.

"Anyway, let's get back to this, Neville." Rose told the boy sitting next to her, not seeing that, from his seat with his friends, Fred was watching her, making sure that Neville didn't put a move on her.

"Thank you for helping me, really." Neville told her.

"No problem. I'm always happy to help." Rose replied.

"She helped me a lot this summer. You'd make a great teacher, Rosie." Harry complimented his sister.

"I'm thinking about it." She nodded.
