"Eren" Ymir spoke as she walked into the boy's room once again.
Inside, Historia was still sitting with him on the bed. It seemed as if he was fine right now, but his face still had the confused expression from earlier.
"I'm afraid to say this, but Frieda did something to you…"
At that, the two other teens looked at her with wide eyes.
"Big sister did something to him?" Historia asked with disbelief "what exactly do you mean?"
Ymir looked towards the ground. This news would devastate both of them, but it needed to come to light.
"She might've…" the freckled girl started apprehensively "…forced herself on you…"
"What?!" The blonde exclaimed with shock "no way! Come on, Ymir, tell my you're joking!"
"Unfortunately, no…"
"But I don't remember anything from that night…" Eren spoke with disbelief.
"This is the reason I'm suspecting her" Ymir replied "you weren't supposed to know this, but she can control other people's memories…"
"What?!" Historia yelled "this isn't funny, Ymir!"
The freckled female turned towards the stunned boy.
"Eren" she started "do you remember anything from before you were brought to the farm?"
When she said that, the young man looked down. After a moment of concentration, once again, he gripped his head in pain.
"Eren!" The blonde cried out.
"You see?" Ymir continued as the boy was trying to bear with the pain "those memories have been blocked by her. This is because Frieda abducted you from the refugee camp…"
"No way!" Historia protested "she would never do that!"
The freckled female looked towards the hurting young man. It really pained her to see someone she truly loved, in such a state. Yes, Ymir eventually fell for the boy as well. There was no denying it. And it only made her more furious to find out about all of Frieda's evil deeds.
"I know about it from a valid source" she explained "just now, I talked to the queen's right-hand man. And he pretty much confirmed that she has messed with his mind in the past…"
"You're lying…" the blonde wailed, disbelievingly.
"And now, we come to your room and see all this" Ymir raised her hands to point at the state of this room "something definitely happened here last night!"
"It still doesn't prove anything!" Historia shouted.
The freckled female gave her a pitiful expression. Slowly, she walked over to the bed. The bedclothes were extremely messy, but what she was looking for, was lying beneath.
It was something that Frieda just ought to forget. Considering her lifestyle, one could say that it ruptured a long time ago, due to stress and all the strain that her job provided her with. But Ymir knew for a fact, that to a woman possessing those kinds of healing powers, such an occurrence would never happen.
As she revealed the bedsheet, Historia could only stare at the small, dark-red blot in shock.
The undertaker's wagon was Kenny's idea. While not really subtle, it served its purpose as smuggling two important people, one being the princess herself, could prove difficult under those circumstances.
As the old Ackerman hurried the horses, Ymir rolled her eyes. This man usually had good ideas, but this one, certainly wasn't his best.
"How do you expect this to work?" She asked as she turned towards the roughish man.
"Just shut up for now" he retorted with an evil grin.
'This can't possibly work…'
They've finally approached the outer gates to the Orvud district. This was supposedly the fastest way to get to the chapel, but the security here right now, was extremely top notch. As the freckled female noticed, many people were rushing in, probably fearing the titan invasion, but no person was really getting out of the district.
When the wagon was halfway through the gate, an MP stopped them.
"Where are you going?" He asked Kenny sternly "don't you know the titans have invaded?"
"That's the reason we're headin' to the battlefield!" The old Ackerman responded confidently, before pointing at the coffins they were transporting "our boys gonna need them."
After giving them a doubtful look, the officer sighed.
"Alright, if the two of you really want to die so bad, who am I to stop you?" He said "proceed!"
And just like that, they were free to go.
"Wow" Ymir admitted with wide eyes, as they were driving further into the territories of wall Rose.
"Yeah, knew it'd work" Kenny spoke, while stopping the horses "alright, the hard part's over, time to get them out of there."
At that, Ymir knocked on the lid of the closest coffin. Immediately, it flew away, as an intensively gasping Historia sat upright.
"I don't know why exactly I agreed to do this…" the blonde spoke, stretching her arms.
"Oh, I'm sorry, your highness" Kenny said smugly, while picking up the lid to Eren's coffin "I didn't have any with cushions inside."
"Wouldn't hurt to have some…" the boy spoke, massaging his back.
"Listen, the dead ain't in need of anything" the old Ackerman retorted, before discarding the rest of the coffins "lil' help?"
As the two men were throwing out the now useless woodworks, Historia looked towards Ymir.
"I'm sorry for not trusting you earlier" the blonde spoke, while looking at the ground.
There was indeed something nice in the royal beauty admitting her wrongs to her. If only she was more reciprocal in other regards…
"That's fine" Ymir replied "I still have a lot of secrets…"
"You'll have to reveal them on the go" Kenny said, after Eren discarded the last coffin and climbed onto the wagon.
As the three teens were driving on the cart, Ymir was telling them everything she knew. The truth about titans, how she got here, what does the outside world look like… She even presented them with her healing powers, to prove her sincerity.
"Woah" Historia spoke with wide eyes, as the wound which the freckled female inflicted on her own forearm, closed after a few moments "now that I've seen it for myself, everything you're telling us seems true…"
Yet, there were other implications to that. As Ymir looked towards her other friend, she saw his dejected look. To think that Frieda really could do something like this…
As they were driving further, the wagon reached a small forest. Even though it was high noon, it suddenly got a lot darker as the crowns of trees were absorbing most of the sunlight.
Yet, there was something else. A weird feeling that Ymir had on the back of her neck. She hadn't felt this feeling in a long time…
"Kid…" Kenny whispered to her, as he prepared his vertical maneuvering gear, hidden under his cloak "prepare yourself…"
They were being followed. Their tails were extremely experienced, as a normal person wouldn't notice anything suspicious. But some of the wildlife sounds they were hearing, weren't really wildlife sounds. Some of the branches falling off trees, weren't really branches falling off trees. And definitely, all the quiet humming heard among the forest, wasn't really the wind.
Their perpetrators were only few in number. Most likely two. Small in built. And for sure, they had access to the vertical menuvering gear. Ymir slowly took out a small knife from her pocket…
'The MPs…"
Suddenly, two people fell down from the trees. As Kenny raised his gun, to point at the person in front of them, Ymir turned to look at the one in the back.
It was a dark-haired female with oriental features. Much to the freckled female's surprise, she didn't have the insignia of the military police…
"Levi" Kenny spoke with a soft chuckle "what a nice reunion…"
"Kenny…" the man called Levi gritted.
As Ymir was eyeing the other soldier, she suddenly noticed that she wasn't really looking back at her.
"Eren…" the female soldier spoke softly as tears started pouring down her face.
"What?" Levi exclaimed in surprise, trying to look behind the carriage.
But he didn't get an answer as the female simply dropped her swords and ran at breakneck speed towards the boy.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Eren!" The girl sobbed as she jumped on the cart and embraced the surprised young man, before Ymir could possibly react.
"What the hell?" Kenny asked with wide eyes, trying to understand what was going on there.
"I promised I would find you!" The oriental female cried out, squinting her eyes, as tears continued to pour down her face.
But what was the weirdest thing of all, was the young man's response to all this.
"Mi… Mikasa…"
