About a week later, while Harry held out the tryouts for the Quidditch team, Rose held the try-outs for the cheerleading team. She was happily surprised by how many people came.

She started by explaining what she expected of them, what they'd be doing and she showed them a simple routine, asking them to redo it. This alone helped her eliminate a few candidates, though she kept as many as possible, thinking of simply helping the ones who needed it with estra training sessions.

Most girls were from Gryffindor, but Luna and Padma had come with a few other classmates. They were 6 Huffelpuff girls and 5 Ravenclaws while Gryffindor's house had 10 girls (after the elimination process). Rose noticed that no boys tried out but this was still news, so maybe in the next few years, if the teams survived, boys would start joining as well.

"How are we going to do when Gryffindor plays against one of our houses? Or when our Houses play against each other?" Padma asked.

"Well, we're a large enough number. We'll cheer all together when Gryffindor or any of your houses plays against Slytherin. When you play against each other, we'll divide the team in two so that both team gets cheered on. Unless our number is enough so that we could have one large team against Slytherin and our own house team when we play anyone else." Rose explained.

"I heard that Pansy and the other girls from Slytherin are angry that you offered them to join so they're starting their own team." Marietta declared.

"I know, Draco Malfoy told me. We can't care about that now. Huffelpuffs and Ravenclaws, you'll have to be able to cheer together independently when one of your houses play against us but you'll also have to learn to cheer on your own when your house is alone. Just like us Gryffindors will have to be able to cheer on our own and with you. It'll take a lot of training but I'm sure we'll be fine." Rose explained.

"What about the outfits?" A Huffelpuff asked.

"They will be the same for everyone, the only thing that will change will be the colors. Your shirt, skirt and pompoms will have your house's colors. Lavender, Padma, Parvati and Hermione have been working on them. They should be all done in a couple of weeks but they used their own money to make them and we'll have to pay them back for the material. I think the best way would be to raise money for the club. This way we'll be able to pay for anything we'll need over time and even those of us who don't have much money will be able to participate, there will be no differences." Rose suggested.

"My dad could make an article in his paper." Luna offered.

"That would be nice, Luna, but we should probably start with the school. Once we have our outfits, we'll do a presentation in the Great Hall during dinner and ask for donations. I'm sure they'll be generous." Rose smiled.

"You're counting on the outfits motivating the boys, right?" Hermione smirked.

"Of course." Rose smiled.

Hermione wasn't really on the team, but she would help with the spells and charms they'd need to make their shows better and more entertaining.

"Fred might pay just so you'd put your normal clothes back and hide from everyone else." Parvati chuckled.

"That, or he'll enjoy it and ask me to wear it in the common room." Rose chuckled too.

After that, they started training with a few normal routines, they chose the music and started to think about chants and other things they'd need to do.

It was decided that they'd train half an hour every day after school and 2 hours once a week so they could be ready on time. Rose also gave them the name of a book they should order and she showed them her copy of it. It was a book written by an American witch that explained magical cheerleading, it held spells that could be useful (spells that helped with music, colors, sparks, glitter and even improved jumps and other figures) and had a few good simple (or not) routines with images showing them clearly. Most of them decided to order it though Hermione assured them that she had seen it at the library and talked to misses Pince about it. The librarian was going to order another copy to make sure there was enough.

"One of my friends wanted to join but she's in the infirmary. She won't be able to join for the next two weeks…" A Ravenclaw that seemed to be in 4th year told Rose.

"That's fine, she can try out when she gets out. She'll be given a chance. Even if you have friends who are not here because they want to try out for the Quidditch teams first, they'll be welcome to try out in the next few weeks." Rose smiled.

"Thanks!"

The girls all wrote their names down so that their head of house could update their file and record that they joined this club and, after an hour, they stopped and decided to go their separate ways until the next day. Hermione, Rose, Lavender, Luna, Padma and Parvati decided to go and see how the Quidditch team was doing. When they arrived, Harry was still holding tryouts.

"Here she is, my beautiful and lovely princess." Fred exclaimed when she arrived, making her blush.

"Hey, how come you're not up there?" She asked him after they kissed.

"Harry's still trying out for keepers and he doesn't need us for this. Ginny made it on the team, she'll be a chaser. Who knew she'd be this good! We're still the beaters too. He also managed to have a couple of extra polyvalent players in case a member of the team isn't available. Wood should have thought about that, we'd have been able to play and had a chance to win more." Fred told her, keeping an arm around her.

"How is Ron doing?" Hermione asked.

"Pretty good, but he gets nervous easily." George replied.

"He doesn't play well when we're watching him." Fred added.

"Well, during the actual game you'll be too busy playing to watch him, so that should be good for him." Rose commented.

"I hope so because as sad as it is to say it, he's the best keeper that tried out today." Fred nodded.

"I wonder why Cormac didn't show up though, I heard him say that he wanted to try out." Hermione asked.

"I think he's had another little accident." George told her with a knowing smile.

"He's in the infirmary." Fred added, making Rose chuckle.

"How come you're still in the middle of tryouts by the way? Harry only had 2 or 3 spots to fill, right?" Hermione asked curiously.

"There were a lot of candidates. Too many. Half came from other houses." George told her.

"A good part of them didn't know how to fly on a broom." Fred added.

"And others knew how to fly but were terrible at it and couldn't stay on their broom for more than 2 minutes." George continued.

"There were also the girls who came only to giggle at Harry while trying to touch him, and giggling some more every time he looked at them. Romilda Vane and her friends were very persistant." Neville added from his spot behind them.

"Poor Harry." Rose shook her head, amused.

"What about you, how did it go?" Fred asked her, happy to have her in his arms.

"I'm happy with the team I've put together." Rose smiled.

"You're not going to tell me more?" He asked her.

"No, you'll just have the surprise once we're ready." Rose smiled at him before she kissed him quickly.

For another 15 minutes, Rose sat in Fred's arms, watching her brother finishing the selection process before he announced the names of the complete team and told them when the team would train next. When he arrived next to them, he looked about ready to kill someone.

"I'm sure you'll feel better after you've had some dinner." Rose told her brother.

"I hope so." Harry managed to smile at her.
