A few more weeks passed by without any major incident.
Harry and Rose received an answer from Dudley. He had to wait for night to reply and even if they could barely read his messy handwriting, they were glad to receive his letter and to know that things went well for him as well.
Rose managed to prepare Wolfsbane potion for Remus quite easily with the help of professor Snape (she joined him using the map and her father's cloak, which Harry let her use since it was her legacy too). When it was done, she bottled it and sent it to her godfather, carried by Serenity, who'd get it to him much faster. He was very surprised and touched by this attention, thanks to her, the full moons would be much easier for him. The first time she send it to him, he hadn't been expecting it at all and had sent her a letter, after the full moon, where he thanked her at least fifty times, making her blush as she read the letter.
"So Rose, do you have plans Saturday or are you free to go with me?" Fred asked his girlfriend at the beginning of the week.
"What's Saturday?" She asked him.
"You haven't seen the board yet?" He asked her.
"No, I just got out of cheerleading practice. We're thinking of training all together just once a week to cheer against Slytherin but to let Ravenclaws and Huffelpuff to have their own team now that they know what to do and they're 6 of them on each side, enough to do quite a few interesting things and it would make things more interesting for us. Anyway, what's going on Saturday?" She shook her head.
"It's a Hogsmeade's weekend. Will you go with me?" He asked her.
"Sure, I'd be happy to." She smiled.
"Good, this way we can finally have a real first date." He smiled.
"So 2 weeks ago the midnight picnic on top of the Astronomy tower wasn't a real date?" She asked him with a smile.
"It was, but nobody saw it, it was our secret date. Neither was our 2 eleven to midnight strolls in the park at night last week. Saturday, everyone will see us and know that I'm the luckiest man around because I get to be with you. And the boys will know that it will be in their best interest to stay away from you because you truly are taken." He smiled at her, making her blush.
"Will we spend the entire day alone or will we meet with your friends?" She asked him.
"I'd like for us to spend the entire day alone, just us, but if you want us to join other people or to spend some time with your brother…"
"No, that's fine. I'd love to spend the whole day just with you." She smiled.
"It's settled then. I'll wait for you in the morning in the common room." He said before he kissed her and ran to join his brother and his friend so they could work some more on their products.
"Hey Ginny, are you okay?" Rose asked her friend when she saw her frowning in a corner of the common room while pretending to read a book.
"It's nothing, don't worry." Ginny tried to wave it off with a fake smile.
"Did you argue with your boyfriend again?" She insisted.
Rose liked Ginny, they were friends and even if they didn't spend all of their free time together, Rose wanted Ginny to know that she was there for here, that she could talk to her if she wanted to.
"My boyfriend? You mean Michel? I broke up with him last week. He doesn't like that I joined Harry's Quidditch team. He kept insulting Harry, I didn't like it so I broke up with him and hexed him before I left." She replied.
"Oh, well, you deserve better anyway. Fred didn't like him either, he almost hexed him a few times, only spared him because he was with you. What's wrong?"
"I heard Ron saying that Harry's going to Hogsmeade with Cho Chang." Ginny whispered so nobody else could hear.
"You know, my brother is a bit dense when it comes to these things, I don't think he sees Cho's real face. You should just talk to him, let him know how you feel, let him know that even though you've dated other boys, your feelings for him haven't changed. Get him to think about you this way instead of as Ron's little sister." Rose insisted.
"Just like you simply told Fred how you felt?" Ginny smirked.
"Right… Not an easy thing to do, I know… Do you want me to talk to him about it? Try to put him on the right path?"
"Would you?"
"Of course, you're one of my best friends and I don't like Cho Chang anyway, she always looks at me like I'm trash in her way when she doesn't think I can see her and when she sees me watching her, she gives me this fake smile… A total hypocrite. I'll talk to him, see what I can do about it." Rose smiled.
"I'm glad you entered our lives, Rose." Ginny replied as she hugged Rose.
"Stop or you'll make me blush." Rose told her friend before she stood up and joined Hermione to the library to give back some books and borrow some more.
When they entered, Cho Chang and her best friend Marietta were sitting at a table, behind the shelves and they didn't see the two girls come in. Quietly, Rose motioned for Hermione to follow her discretely and, while pretending to look for books, they listened.
"Are you really going out with Harry Potter Saturday?" Marietta asked Cho while Rose and Hermione hide silently behind the shelves.
"Yes, I am. Why?"
"I don't know, he's a bit younger, it seemed to bother you last year, and you said yourself that you thought he wasn't the best looking and that you could do better, especially since you said last year that you didn't like him much." Marietta insisted.
"I could also do worst. He's famous, a winner, a hero, rich, and he likes me. He's easy. I don't have to try too hard with him and he brings me out in the spotlight." Cho replied.
"But do you have feelings for him? You didn't seem to like him that much last year when he asked you to the ball…"
"Not really, but I don't care. He really likes me. As long as he knows how to kiss and manages to keep me from being too lonely…." Cho replied before they both started giggling.
"Let's get out of here before I get expelled for committing murder in the library." Rose growled and Hermione followed her to the common room, not taking any books back with them.
"Where's my brother?" She asked in a strong angry voice as soon as she entered the portrait hole.
Everyone that was still in the room turned to look at her. A couple of first years looked afraid of her at that moment.
"He went to bed, he was tired from practice, said he had a headache. Is something wrong?" Neville told her on his way to the stairs.
"I'm not sure." She shook her head, trying to calm down.
"Do you want me to wake him up for you?" Neville asked her nervously.
"No, forget it, I'll talk to him tomorrow morning." Rose shook her head.
Before she went to bed, Rose sat with her boyfriend for a few minutes. He was busy with George but he didn't mind having her in his arms while they worked and she liked it too. She went directly to sit on his lap, placing her head on his shoulder and her arms around his neck, watching them work on the different versions of the Marauder's map they were planning on selling.
They had talked with Sirius and corresponded with Remus to get their permission and get suggestions and ideas. They both agreed and at the moment, they were thinking of a version of the map that gave the owner challenges to complete in order to keep on working well.
"Everything alright, Rose?" he asked her.
"It will be, don't worry." She smiled at him.
Fred dropped a kiss on her forehead before he went back to talk with his twin brother about the best way to improve their products. Feeling herself falling asleep in his arms, Rose left after 30 minutes to go back to her dormitory.
"I'll wait for you for breakfast." Fred informed her and she nodded, kissed him goodnight and went to bed.
How do you think things will happen for Harry?
