"So, what did you guys want to talk about?" Ruby asked the three teams sat down in the current house they were using. Weiss and Ryuko were the only ones standing, the latter did not have a happy look on her face.

"Ryuko and I have been talking, and we've decided that-" An extremely loud alarm cut Weiss off as Blake and Natsu held their ears in pain. "What is going on?"

Vergil opened the nearest window and stuck his head out it. "Uh, guys..." The others followed his example and opened the windows to see a swarm of Maticores, Griffons, and Nevermores flying at the city. People outside the house were panicking and in various stages of emergency evacuation.

"Why are this many coming here?" A soldier asked as he shot at the Manticore flying at him. "This is more Grimm then we've see all year!"

The dozen teens slowly pulled themselves back into the house, where they stared at the Lamp on Ruby's waist. "This is our fault... We have to help." Everyone else nodded before the scythe user raced up the stairs. She opened the closest door and found her uncle hanging over the bed.

"Come on, Uncle Qrow. We need to help people." Her uncle merely mumbled drunkenly.

"It's no good, child." Maria said, coming into the room. "We both know he's been drinking like this ever since we got to this city. I'm surprised his kidneys haven't jumped out his throat."

"Of all the times for him to be useless, it has to be during a Grimm invasion." She mumbled, kicking a bottle against the wall. The glass shattered and did nothing to wake up the professional Huntsman.

Maria walked over and tapped his head with her staff, trying to wake him up. "Well, no sense trying to wake him up." She declared before turning to Ruby. "How can I help?"

Ruby sighed in disappointment before turning to the elderly woman. "Please tell me you know how to fly an airship."

Atlas Military Base

"Get as many people as you can into the city! We need to start evacuating the civilians now!" Caroline shouted, sending the humans into the city. The robots took to the sky and began shooting at the creatures as the team arrived at the base. "This is not the time for you children."

"We're here to help fight these things." Ruby declared.

"I appreciate the offer, but we have things under control here." The commander said as the Hard-light Dust fence rose out of the ocean and powered up.

*SCREEECH!*

A new noise overpowered the siren as the city began shaking. From the very edge of the barrier, a gigantic, bipedal, aquatic sea Grimm with four humanoid limbs and a long tail rose out of the sea. It has four gills on each side of its neck and a collection of dorsal plates protruding from its back, with red webbing between each plate. It has a dolphin-like head with a mouth filled with sharp teeth and three yellow eyes on each side of the head. Like many other Grimm it has external ribs.

The creature roared and started marching towards the closest Hardlight fence. It pulled it's head back and a giant ball of fire shot out, going over the fence and hitting the clocktower in the city. It shattered to pieces and rained down on the population. "Still don't think you need our help?" Ryuko asked, much to Caroline's annoyance.

"You four!" She shouted at Jaune, Nora, Aerith and Ren. "Head into the town and start helping people. The rest of you, take a ship and start killing these things!" The group nodded and raced into a ship as Maria took the pilot's seat.

"Didn't you say your eyed were in bad need of repairs?" Weiss asked.

Maria merely chuckled as she hooked her eyes up to the sensory equipment, making the screens on her face flash. The ship started hovering into the air, making the older woman chuckle. "Natsu, get in." Yang said, offering a hand.

"I won't be able to fight in that thing." He replied, taking off his jacket. "I can fly on my own." He raced over to the edge of the pier before jumping off. His wings flapped and he took to the sky, punching a Griffon in the face.

The airship took off and joined him in the air. Ruby leaned out of the left side as Vergil did the same on the right before both fired their guns, blasting as many Grimm in the head as they could. Weiss spun and summoned a glyph before nodding to Ryuko, who turned her swords into their gun modes.

She pulled the triggers and the bullets flew out, flying through the Glyph before they honed in on the Grimm, going clean through the side of their heads. Yang jumped out of the ship and fired a round from both her gauntlets. She flew over and landed on the nearest Manticore. The Maiden grabbed the horns and steered it towards another before jumping off, the horns going clean through the other Grimm.

Natsu dived and grabbed his girlfriend before throwing her up and she grabbed onto Blake's weapon. The blonde blasted a Grimm that attacked her and she swung back from the force. Having spun around from the blast, she punched another Grimm before that force sent her higher up, swinging back into the ship.

The flying Faunus swung his claws and tore through the Grimm as fast as he could. A beam of lightning hit him, having been fired from the massive Grimm as it destroyed a Hardlight generator. Another flock bombed him and fire soon erupted from him, vaporizing the beasts into ash.

"Why isn't Cordovin helping!?" Natsu complained as he ripped a pair of wings off a Griffon.

A massive door at the mountain opened up, revealing a mech as tall as the Atlesian Military Base. It has a stocky build, with a rectangular cockpit and long, armored legs. Its left arm has a joint and a hand with two fingers and a thumb. Its right arm is a cannon with rotary slots, and a large blade is fitted to the back. All but one of the rotary slots in its right arm contains a form of Dust; the rotary slot without Dust is a missile pod.

"Clearly these creatures have forgot the power of the Atlas Military!" Her voice boomed out of the mech as it raised its canon hand. "This is a reminder!" A canister of Dust pushed down before a massive about of energy shot out, wiping out an entire flock of Grimm at once.

Natsu hovered in the air and blinked in surprise as he pulled a Manticore off the ship. "She had that thing inside a mountain!?"

"I told you she was crazy!" Vergil replied, slicing the Grimm in half with both swords.

The mech marched through the sea and reached the Colossus before pulling its fist back and punching it in the face. The monster roared back and fired another a beam of energy at her, only for the Hardlight shield to block it. Caroline chuckled before the cannon arm lifted up, the barrel changing chamber before a blast of Fire Dust shot out.

The Grimm turned to the side and the blast missed, going high into the air before exploding. Missiles shot out of the many ships and flew at the Grimm, only for the projectiles to miss as the Grimm dived at the city, hitting Caroline and the wall instead. "These are supposed to be state of the art, with the very best guidance system! Why is the radar not working!?"

Static came through the radio before a voice broke through. "M-ma'am! We need back up! We are under attack!"

Caroline grabbed the walkie talkie and pressed the button in the side. "What are you talking about!?"

"It's the White Fang! They're here!" The male worker replied. "The psychos are killing everyone! They- no, no please! Don't-!"

Silence filled the air as Blake went wide eyed. She realized she wasn't just seeing things on the train. Stealing her nerves, she pushed herself to the cockpit and grabbed the radio. "Cordovin! Don't worry about the radar! We'll take care of it!"

The mech merely turned back to the Colossus and punched it. "How are you gonna get there?" Oscar asked as Blake opened the door. She glanced to the side and smiled.

"Natsu!" Blake jumped out of the Bullhead before a red and black blur caught her. "We need to head to the relay tower! The White Fang is attacking it!" She declared as she hung from his arms.

"Not a problem!" He chuckled before flying over the city. The pair flew over a trail headed towards the tower when a dust cloud grew closer. "What the?"

The cloud grew closer before it showed Yang and Vergil riding his new bike. "You didn't think you'd get away that easy?" Yang teased her boyfriend.

Yang jumped off the bike and fired shots from her weapons. The explosive rounds hit and detonated, launching the masked extremists into the air. The dust settled and Vergil launched the bike into the air before sliding down the seat. The motorbike glowed before the handlebars slid to the spot where the gas tank meets the seat and the motorcycle splits in half. The tires then inflated into large spiked buzzsaws.

The masked Faunus gasped and panicked as both ends slammed down. Vergil swung his arms and the saw blades hit them, shattering the masks and tearing the clothes before Yang rushed in and pummeled the nearest goon. She jumped over the falling man and unleashed a flurry of punches before kicking the foe back. She looked up at the relay tower and saw Natsu and Blake flying away.

Argus

Jaune slashed at a Manticore's face before Nora jumped off his back and slammed her hammer down, crushing Grimm's skull and turning it into powder. Ren jumped into the air and peppered the wings of a Griffon as Aerith clubbed the body. She turned and blocked the beak of another hybrid, forcing her back.

"Get them out of here!" She shouted as JNR lead a group of citizens away from the fight.

Saffron held her son tight as Jaune walked next to her. "Don't worry, she'll be fine." He chuckled before turning and stabbing a Manticore that dived the group. He forced it to the ground and pulled his blade out before stabbing into the throat, killing it. Another beam of energy from the Colossus hit a series of buildings, sending rubble everywhere.

Jaune expanded his shield and blocked the stone and dust from his body. The last of the stone bouncing off, he pushed himself up and looked around. Broken robots littered the ground underneath giant chunks of building. Dust bullets laid next to them, ready to use. Carefully picking up a canister, Jaune stored it in his pocket when a scream caught his attention.

He turned to the source and started running towards it. He jumped through a window that was still standing the and stabbed a Griffon on the others side before he reached around and pulled out a canister of Dust. Quickly coating it in the red crystal, he swung his blade and a curve of flames flew forward, beheading and burning anything in its way.

The blonde raced after the flame as it died and found the crying, a trio children who were huddled together. "Hey, hey. It's okay..." He slid over to the three and grabbed one by the shoulder. "I'm gonna get you out of here. Let's-"

A low growl caught him by surprise as he turned around, seeing a group of Grimm crawling towards them. "Stay behind me!" He declared as the kids hid under some rubble. One Manticore charged and Jaune blocked its gapping jaw before slashing at the head, chipping the bone crown.

He slammed the shield against the neck and an audible snap killed the beast. He turned and dodged a tail strike before slicing the limb off. The Grimm roared in pain before Jaune bum-rushed it and forced it against a wall, impaling it against some exposed rebar. Jaune reached around and shoved a Dust crystal into the beast jaw before stabbing it. It exploded into a storm of ice that pushed Jaune to the ground, dazing him as his Aura flashed.

Another Manticore crawled over and placed its paw on his armored chest before roaring. Jaune pulled his arm up, but the beast not only knocked the sword away, but tore the armor off the hand. Jaune looked over and saw the children run out of the hiding spot as a Griffon head forced them out, holding each other as the Grimm circled their prey.

'Not like this! I refuse to be dead weight ever again!' With all the strength he could muster, the blonde roared and punched the Grimm, dazing it enough to push it off. He sprinted forward, wrapped his arms around the children and held them tight. The Manticore pulled its claws back and swung hard, only to hit a glowing Jaune.

The glow expanded and turned into a massive bubble shield around him and the kids. It grew larger and pushed the Grimm back, pinning them against the stone walls. Jaune slowly opened his eyes and was shocked by the shield around them. He let go of the kids and stood up, making them grab his legs in fear. "It's okay... I'm not going anywhere."

He walked over to his blade and picked up his blade before turning back to the kids. "Close your eyes." The children did as he said as he walked over to one Grimm. He held up his sword and dug it into the beasts neck. His unarmored hand slipped and slid along the blade, cutting it. The beast turned to dust and Jaune gripped his injured hand as his Aura healed it, leaving only a scar.

The other two Grimm followed as Jaune collapsed to his knees. The children raced over and hugged him in gratitude before a roar scared them. Another beam of energy hit some buildings as the ground shock. Jaune held the kids tight as he looked up at the aerial battle and the rubble bounced of his Semblance. "I just hope the others are doing okay..."

Relay Tower

Natsu and Blake panted as they hid against the control panel. "Blake, your old friend has issues." Natsu mumbled before leaning out. A shotgun blast hit the metal as he pull back in time, the metal getting blown out.

"We aren't friends, not anymore." She replied before shifting her weapon into its gun form and came out of hiding.

"Why is it that no matter where I go, I still have to deal with your stray behind?" Adam asked as he blocked every shot from her. "I won't let you stand in my way anymore!"

Natsu jumped from behind and swung his fist, only for the extremist to block and kick the half-Grimm to the ground. Natsu spun on his hands and kicked him back, grabbing Blake as she jumped off the two and the two flew away. Adam flipped his sheathe and fired his gun, hitting the Grimm flesh wing.

He cried in pain as his membrane was torn to pieces, sending the two crashing to the metal floor of the tower. Adam charged and jumped with his sword to swing down, only for Blake to block with hers. She pushed him back and Natsu charged with a fire infused fist and sent him sliding back farther.

Adam thrust his sword forward only for Natsu to duck, letting Blake jump over his back and kick him in the face. "I am so sick of you stopping me from doing what is best for the Faunus!"

"You seriously think this is going to help anyone!?" Blake asked back. "You're so blinded by hate that you can't see what you've become!"

Adam growled and charged forward, his sword at the ready. He slammed the handle into Natsu's face before flipping it around and swinging the blade. The pair of trainees jumped off the tower before Natsu threw Blake back up and she wrapped her sash around him and pulled him up. Adam sliced the ribbon and Natsu fell to the ground, kicking dust up.

Blake glanced over before rolling to the side from a slash. Adam turned and the two quickly traded swings before he grabbed her wrist and tossed her to the side. She jumped away from a Moonslice and landed higher on the tower, only for Adam to grab her throat. He pushed her against the railing before she flipped him over and the two went over.

The two snapped through branches on the trees around the tower before Adam landed on the ground. Blake braced for impact only to suddenly stop. She opened her eyes and found Natsu holding her up. "My hero." She chuckled before he was set her down.

Adam pushed himself up and charged the two, forcing them to jump back. Blake slashed at him before flipping back, letting Natsu charge in and throw fire covered punch. Adam blocked and tried to stab only for Natsu to jump back and flip off a tree, diving back. Adam meet his fists with is blade, before Blake jumped from behind. The extremist spun, kicked Natsu back and tried to stab Blake.

She threw her sheathe and it wrapped around the nearest trunk, sending her over the blade before she sprinted away. She turned and fired bullets at him, only for him to block each shot before sprinting after her. "Can you do anything but run away!?" Adam teased, only to get hit with a broken tree branch as Natsu swung as hard as he could.

Adam swung and hit Natsu's legs before Blake pulled her friend back. The two raced along the trees before Adam's sword flew and hit Natsu in the back of his head. He fell and rolled on the ground as it turned from hard dirt to hard stone. Blake pulled him up as Adam charged.

The two traded swings and dodges before Blake captured his sword. Enraged, Adam head butted her before grabbing her arms, forcing her to look at him. "You once had the same heart as I did. You believed in the right things! But then you went soft, and now you have to pay!"

Adam squeezed hard and twisted Blake's wrist, making her drop her sheathe before he kicked it to the side. He swung his handle and cracked her in the temple, sending her flying backwards. Her head was ringing as Adam jumped and swung down, only for his blade to hit hard rock. Natsu had eaten a Dust crystal, pushed himself up, and raced over, blocking the blade with his stone covered arms.

Natsu pushed him back and swung his arms around, forcing Adam back. The bull Faunus swung his blade and forced Natsu to duck, before the sheathe hit his gut and sent him to the ground. Adam stood over and fired his gun, only for Natsu to roll to the side and stand up. He charged forward and Adam caught him, throwing him overhead. Natsu dug his claws into the ground and came to a stop.

He charged Adam again before jumping to the side, his hands encasing in stone until they became maces. Adam blocked the pair before he kicked him back. "I've had it with you and your friends getting in the way!" He declared, charging Natsu and stabbing under him before swinging his legs, sending him to the ground. "No one is ever going to stop me again."

"You're delusional..." Natsu spat out. Adam roared as he triggered his Semblance and swung his sword. Natsu turned and the blade sliced his jacket and his tail off. Natsu cried out in pain as Blake rushed over, using her sash as a garrote on the wound. Adam walked over before coming to a stop.

He reached up and pulled off the mask he made famous before throwing it off the path. Natsu felt sick to his stomach as Blake went wide eyed at the massive SDC brand over Adam's eye. "This is what humanity thinks of our kind. We are nothing to them but cattle to be traded. If we want to get anything in life, we need to take it!

"But sadly, you two won't be around to see the results of my work." He pulled his blade back and thrusted forward, only for a fiery blow to send him back. He came to a stop and saw Yang walking forward, her hands shaking in fear clashing with the look on her face.

"You think she can help you?" Adam chuckled, pointing his blade at her robotic arm. "She was a big help last time, and look what happened."

"You're right... I didn't help much last time." She replied. "But this time, I'm not alone." A rumble grew louder before it roared off the waterfall. Vergil jumped off his bike and split it in two before he slammed them down, forcing Adam back.

"You again..." He growled before blocking another shot from Yang. The buzz bike returned into Aura as Vergil drew his katana. Blake tried to stand only to grab her head in pain.

"You two rest." Yang said as she and Vergil shared a nodded. "We've got this."

"That's right." Adam replied, standing up. "The three off us have unfinished business."

The three stared at each other before Adam charged. Vergil swung his katana and Adam blocked the blade before jumping back from Yang's jabs. Adam pointed his sheath and fired at the blonde who jumped from side to side to avoid the shots as Vergil jumped forward. He spun in the air and drew his blade, hoping to daze Adam in confusion.

His plan failed and Adam blocked the blade before flipped the human overhead, sending Vergil tumbling backwards. Yang jabbed at the man and he blocked each one with his blade before charging himself. Forced back with each swing from him, Yang soon rolled to the side as Vergil charged and swung.

Adam jumped and fired his sword at Vergil, the blade going through the jacket. As the blade bounced back into the air, he kicked it at Yang who punched it to the side before flipping back from the sheathe. Vergil charged and jabbed at Adam, who blocked the tip and spun his own sword. Yamato was knocked out of his hand before Adam picked up his sword and jumped.

He and stabbed the ground, sending a shockwave at the blonde. Vergil jumped in front and summoned his gauntlets, taking the blast before the two were pushed back. "Now I get it..." Vergil said, lowing his arms before glancing at Yang. "Unlike yours, where you release quickly the energy you absorbed over a short period of time, he releases his all at once, letting him punch through anything."

"That explains how he can get past Aura." She mumbled before the two charged. Adam gripped his blade and swung it, onlu for the two to jump to the side. Vergil picked up Yamato and swung again, forcing Adam to duck. He looked up to see

and sent them flying back. Adam gripped his sword and his hair turned completely red before he swung his blade. A massive shockwave flew at the two as they had been backed to the edge.

"NOOO!"

The energy hit and created a massive cloud of dust before a wave hit the waterfall. The water flow returned to normal as the dust settled. Vergil stood before Yang as he lowered his arms, his damaged gauntlets and boots crumbling to the ground in pieces before they turned back into Aura.

Yang shook in fear as Vergil drew his blade. "This is your last chance, Adam. Surrender." He ordered.

The extremist chuckled as he gripped his sword. "Do you really think that's going to scare me? When your friend is shaking behind you like a little girl? Or do you think just because your human that you can take the high road?"

Yang gripped her shaking hand as she glared at Adam, only for a scaly hand to surprise her. She turned to see Natsu standing up, holding her hand. "This isn't about being human... and this isn't about being Faunus." He declared as the four stood side by side. "This is about what's right."

"Oh, this is rich." Adam chuckled, looking at Blake. "You couldn't win two-on-one back at Beacon, what makes you think two more would make a difference?"

"I don't have a choice." Blake declared, gripping Vergil's hand tighter. "I have people who are counting on me. And I promised myself I would never run away again. So I won't start now."

Adam stared at the other three before shaking his head. "You know, she made a promise to me once. That she would see this through to the end with me." He chuckled a bit as he gripped his sword. "Look how well she kept it."

"Did she make that promise to you? Or to the person you USE to be?" Yang asked.

Adam glared at the four before charging. The quartet did the same and jumped to the side, avoiding the swing before Vergil brought his twin scimitars. He charged and swung the twin blades, forcing Adam to block. Natsu came up from behind and suplexed the extremist backwards before he rolled up. Blake charged with a swing and hit him before Yang slammed both her fists into his back.

Adam focused enough to swung his sword in time to knock Blake's blade to the side as she threw it. Yang launched herself and grabbed the broken weapon before pulling hard. She swung her partner around and Blake slashed at Adam, who blocked with his sword. He turned to the side and Blake crashed into Vergil before charging Natsu.

The half-Grimm raised his feet and kicked at Adam, who blocked with his sword before he swung. Natsu ducked and spun for a back fist, only to be hit with a blast point blank from Adam's gun. Natsu's Aura gave out and he stumbled over the ledge. "Natsu!" Before Yang could run over, she heard the sound of Adam's sword clicking into place.

"Moment of truth, Yang. Are you faster than back at Beacon?" Adam teased, entering a quickdraw stance. Yang's eyed flashed back as her arms started shaking. "That's what I thought." He charged the blonde who rolled to the side and kept dodging the swings. A spin kick hit and sent her stumbling back. "Your Aura is bound to run out soon. But mine is as strong as-"

Natsu tackled him to the ground and started punching the back of his head. "She's stronger than you could ever know!" He declared in anger. Adam twisted and threw Natsu to the side before his sword broke his aura, sending the blade into his shoulder.

"It's your kind that makes us look weak!" Adam declared as Natsu panicked at the sword in him. "Faunus who just sit around and take what humans do to us without fighting back!"

His anger turned into confusion as Natsu smiled back. "Big mistake." He chuckled as Yang, flaming hair and red eyes, passed him and slammed her gauntlet into Adam. The sheer force forced not only broke his Aura, but also sent him digging into the ground as he slid back.

"I don't need to be faster." She said, helping Natsu up before pulling the blade out as quickly as possible. "I just need to be smarter." Vergil and Blake raced forward, both using the broken chunks of Blake's blade. Adam held his hands up and the blades went through his palms, before he twisted his arms and flung the two back. Natsu and Yang helped the two up as the Bull Faunus bit down and ripped the metal out before throwing them over the ledge.

"Well, that didn't work." Vergil mumbled.

"What do we do now?" Blake asked.

"We have one trick left." Natsu said as he turned to Yang.

"N-no, I still can't even control it OUTSIDE of battle." She replied. "Something like this is-"

"Yang, you have to use it!" He replied, grabbing her shoulders. "It's our only chance. I believe in you! You can do this."

Adam gripped his blade and channeled all the Aura he had left and swung his blade, sending a wave of energy at the four that blasted them apart. Being the nearest towards him, Adam kicked Natsu in the head before he stood on his arms, pushing down on his wings as well.

"This is where your story ends, Dragneel." He held his sword high and prepared to stab into Natsu's head. A blast of ice suddenly forced him off and he stood up to see that Yang's eyes turned red before she was slowly lifted off the ground by a spiraling wind.

Adam pointed his sheath at her and fired the gun. Yang merely raised her arm and the wind caught the buckshot before it spun around and returned to sender. "Leave. My boyfriend. Alone." She demanded before raising her arms. Stone wrapped around her arms and she blasted forward, punching the back of Adam's head.

He sung his sword and the blade snapped against the stone before they turned molten and shot forward, blasting him back. Wind suddenly forced him forward and he was met with a flurry of fists before a flaming axe kick forced him to the ground. She stomped on the ground and a pillar of stone forced him up before wind held his arms in place.

"This... This is what a Maiden can really do?" Vergil asked in a mix of horror and hope.

Adam pushed his head up and smiled at the blonde as she pulled her arm back, magic gathering into her fist. "That's right, Yang! Prove me right! Show me what monsters humans are and just how right I am!" Natsu tried to push himself up to stop her, but his legs gave out.

Yang sighed as her eyes stopped glowing and the magic faded from her hands. "Maybe you haven't noticed, Adam, but not all humans are the same." She slammed her arm into his head and he slumped over unconscious. She lowered her arms and walked towards her friends before she collapsed into Natsu's arms

"It's okay, it's okay. It's over." He whispered into her ear as he rubbed her back. "He's never going to bother us again. He'll spend the rest of his life in jail..." He pushed her back and smiled at her. "You were amazing out there."

"I wasn't anything." She replied, resting against his head. "We did it together. All of us." Blake and Vergil smiled at the two before Yang stood up. "Come on, let's get back to Argus."

I didn't really have problems with the canon versions of the events, but for this story, I couldn't do that. So we're going this way instead. Also, I feel like an idiot as I took the name 'Leviathan' for another Grimm. So I had to come up with something else, hopefully Colossus does that monster justice.

Obviously, since Aerith has a healing Semblance I can't have Jaune keep his canon one. So instead he's getting a bubble shield one. And a big thank you to N.I.A. for helping me with that scene. And this is the final time you will see Adam as a threat. He will spend the rest of his life in jail after this. See you next time for the finale of Volume 6.
