Chapter 12

A game of Cat and Cacodemon.

Stheno leads Chaldea towards the nest, the lighting of the area becoming more red as they get closer. As they walked they found a small cave that could also be used as a safe area.

"This is where the masters should remain," Vega stated.

"Why are we staying behind? Can't you cloak us, Vega?" Ritsuka asked, confused.

"The Stealth unit has unfortunately become damaged during its extended use. It was never meant to project a cloaking field, only conceal the drone I control. Da-Vinci and I recalibrated it just in time." Vega said as he was not prepared to expect another servant to end up making a deal with hell. This will require more measures to be taken for the master's safety.

"There is also another threat.

I am detecting small traces of Corruption particles in the air." Vega stated

"That sounds bad!" Gudao said, covering his nose.

"The Hell Corruption a growth of tumorous flesh that expands from hell portals that make the local area toxic for humans. It's how the demons create a foothold on a victim world." Vega said.

"So, they should remain here while we go to kill the nest?" Nero asked.

"Wait but Nero-" Mashu said but stopped at Nero raising her hand.

"I'll be fine, I was able to stop Caesar. I guess I too am a servant somehow." Nero calmed the concern over her wellbeing.

"Well, with Doomguy around, I doubt this should take long. Just hunker down in that cave until they come back" Romani suggested right as the nearby bushes started to shake. Everyone tensed up and got ready for a fight as the noise got closer and closer.

"Screeeeee!" A cacodemon comes flying out of bushes like a bat out of hell. Doomguy aimed his shotgun ready to blast the beast to bits.

"Ohohoho! You can run from me Woof!" A woman in a maid outfit then pounces on it like a cat from the bushes. She lands on top of it, causing it to crash onto the ground and she shortly rips its eyeball out with her massive paws. After some more inspection, She appears to have some animal traits to her person. Fox ears on top of her pink hair, big bushy tail and finally paws replacing both hands and feet.

"Nyan! I knew I smelled one sneaking away. Silly oversized meatball! " She then kicks the dying demon back into the woods.

"Cat! Slow down! It's hard to keep up with you!" A familiar voice calls out and the owner appears from the woods. It was Elisabeth Bathory from Orleans! A very welcoming surprise depending on if you have earplugs or not.

"Elisabeth!?" The Chaldea trio said in unison surprised to see her again so soon.

"Oh hey, guys! Are you here to clear out that nest with Chief?" Elisabeth said happy to see them again along with Doomguy.

"Yes, well. I and Gudao are staying since the corruption is toxic to humans." Ristuka said.

"So, you know Elisabeth. What about this one?" Stheno gestures to the cat-fox lady.

"Ahahaha!" The servant in question giggled.

"Uh no...We've never met. Although, I know she's a servant-" The servant in question then jumps into the centre of the view.

"Haha! I am Tamamo Cat, One of the Tamamo Nine! I tag 'woof at the end of my sentences. My hobby is cafe management. My favourite food is That's pretty inconsistent even for me. Woof Woof."Tamamo Cat said.

"Tamamo Nine?" Gudao said, confused about this servant. Ritsuka on the other hand was boggled that she looked like the Neko-maid Anime trope brought to life and now standing in front of her. She didn't mind it though as Tamamo Cat seemed very friendly and, in her own eyes, Cute.

"That's...Hmm. The data on that is a bit incomplete" Romani said looking at the Data on Tamamo-no-Mae, the servant cat appeared to be connected to.

"By 'Tamamo nine', do you refer to Tamamo-no-mae's Nine tails?" Vega asked.

"Yes! Yes! But never put any of us in the same room as we don't like each other at all. ESPECIALLY OG after she chopped us off and left us to cause chaos! Not Cat though! Woof! I am the Shining goodness of a Tamamo!" Cat explained while bouncing around her new friends.

"As much as I like meeting new people. We should get going on that nest." Nero said.

"Yes, You should. Emperor Nero." Another voice calls out before entering the view of everyone. It was a man in a black suit with long black hair and glasses.

"Who are you?" Ritsuka asked.

"Oh hey! It's suit guy!" Tamamo Cat blurted out.

"I can explain on the way. We need to end this predicament now or the damage can never be undone." The man said walking towards the red light. Doomguy, while wary of the newcomers, leaves the masters under the protection of Mashu and Elizabeth.

Nero, Doomguy, Vega and Tamamo Cat follow the man into the corrupted forest that surrounds the nest.

"So, you mentioned that you'll explain who you are?" Nero asked.

"My name is lord El-Melloi II. I am a servant without a master. I ended up being a strategist for one of the united empires former rulers." The man bluntly said while turning around to find a gun pointed at him. Doomguy was not in the mood to deal with another traitor with the nest close by.

"What? Why are you here then! You are the ones who summoned this cancer to my Rome!" Nero said with anger in her voice.

"Caesar acted on his own to create this mess. My king ventured here alone to put a stop to it..He damaged the nest significantly, reducing the spread of this corruption.", El-Melloi II said.

"Yeah! He helped me and Lizzy when we got stuck in that purple stuff!" Cat said while getting an audible groan from doomguy. He hated that stuff with a passion, having to deal with a Hellknight at a snail's pace is not fun.

"His statement holds some truth. Compared to other Super Gore Nest instances, this one is very contained. I would suggest abstaining from unnecessary violence until the nest is destroyed." Vega said.

"'Gore Nests'. The name suits the vile nature of those devices. I will assist you as until this is over after that I will take my leave from this war." He said.

"So you're saying another United Emperor has fallen at the cost of one of your own?" Nero asked and the man pushed up his glasses.

"Yes, Congrats, you are a step closer to restoring Rome." He then turns around and continues walking.

"If you don't mind me asking, what was their name?" Nero asked

"Iskander, King of Conquerors" The mage answered.

Proto Gore Nest.

There was silence until they reached a clearing that led to a crater covered with tumours and masses of flesh. In the centre was a large structure that was the base of the portal being generated above.

"Scan's of the central structure show that it's currently in a regenerative state. Halting the portal expansion process. Your king's efforts were not in vain Lord El-Melloi II." Vega stated.

"Good to hear that. We could not enter the core of the nest due to the barrier at the entrance. Even I, A caster, could note dispel it.", El-Melloi II said with a saddened look in his eye.

"The nest has already developed its defences. You would require Gore keys to gain entrance to the core. The challenge is to find them but with the Nest, in a very premature state it should be easy to find them," Vega said.

"I did spot smaller structures within that purple swamp below. Perhaps those are where the keys would be located" El-Melloi II suggested only to find one of them was missing.

"Where is the green one?" He asked surprised and worried.

"Oh, Big guy got bored and jumped right into the fight. Immagojoinhim BYE. Woof!" Tamamo Cat jumps into the fray as demons begin to spawn from the fleshy growths.

"I should join them as well! Will you aid us?" Nero asked the Caster.

"Y-Yes. That was his request before my king died. I will guide you all a path through that purple sludge." He said trying to keep up with all that is happening. He looks to Vega.

"Does he do that a lot?" He asks.

"Yes. The Slayer tends to act fast when it comes to Demons. Here take this comm unit. I will broadcast your voice over my speakers." Vega then hovered to the battle as the mage took a deep breath. He had to give commended the AI for seeming to be used to someone so headstrong and willing to jump right into the action. He let out a small chuckle thinking about how those master dealing with such nature and how it brought back some good memories in his own past. Alas, Now wasn't the time to look back on the past.

Using his skills, he reveals pathways around the purple sludge. Even though he was working with Berzerkers, his tactics should be clear to them.

"Meeeoowww!" Tamamo Cat Yells as she slashes the possessed with her claws. The lack of heavy demons proved the damage of late Iskander. But that will change once they extract the gore keys.

Nero approaches the first structure while expertly avoiding the purple sludge traps. She enters the small structure covering her nostrils as the scent of place assaults her senses. It smells like rotting on a battlefield full of corpses….Something she should be used to but...

"You are a tyrant…" Nero's eyes darted around as she started to hear whispers.

"You lie to yourself…" She spots a key like bone formation with an eyeball fused. It was across a pool of ichor and blood. It was the only way across without wasting any time before the demons got some reinforcements. She stepped into the red slurry and held back the urge to puke as it got knee-deep and stained her dress.

"Your dream ends, Rome ends. You can avoid it...But with our help." The voice rings on her head. Nero realizes that this was the Demon's trying to mess with her head, trying to make her strike a bargain like they did Caesar.

"Shut up. I stand with my people!" Nero said as she was halfway in the short distance that felt like miles.

"They will betray you. Your people hate you." The voice grew stronger causing a migraine.

"Gah! Shut up!" Nero is reminded of her multiple attempts on her own life...the pain of being a ruler was daunting to her but she pushed on. Until…

"Keep on this path, child." A calm younger voice cuts through.

"You say you are Rome. Then Continue on like the Emperor you are!" The voice cheers her on as she reaches for the key and grabs it. Looking across she sees a young man with red hair and leather armour smiling at her.

"Carry Rome with you and conquer this new enemy for our people." the man and Nero nod but then feels the ground shake.

"What is going on out there?"

Both Doomguy and Tamamo Cat acquired a gore key and were waiting on Nero to arrive with hers. As expected, the nest started shaking as it was desperately summoning demons regardless of its structural integrity.

Mancubi and Hellknights started spawning from the hell portal above as Gargoyle swarmed after them. The demons were desperate, throwing whatever to slow the Slayer and his allies down.

"MEEEOWWW!" Tamamo cat yells as she dashes and slashes the demons with her claws. Splitting open the bellies of Mancubi while dodging the flamethrowers attached to their arms. Doomguy did the same with his chainsaw in between cutting Gargoyles into mincemeat. Swapping to this minigun after tossing an ice bomb, he opens fire on the frozen flock of gargoyles. One tried to jump on the Slayer, sadly its attempts were in vain with its skull getting split with its blade. Doomguy tosses the corpse aside as the Tamamo Cat fires a laser of flame out of her mouth, cutting three Hellknights in half.

"*Burb* Sorry, I had something spicy earlier." She said, still bubbly as ever.

So far so good, the nest can only pump out so many demons before it risks portal integrity. Maybe things will go alright for once…

"Tamamo Cat! Watch out!" Vega yelled.

"Goha!" Tamamo Cat takes a hit directly to the chest from a tyrant's beam cannon, unfortunately. Both berserkers were too distracted in the battle to see a tyrant appearing from the walls of the nest.

"Dammit!" El-Melloi II cursed as he tried his best to guide the two berserkers with his tactics.

Tamamo Cat groans getting back up as it felt like she was hit by a truck. Her maid outfit was scorched and covered in blood from her injuries. She struggles to get back up due to her landing in a pool of purple goo. The tyrant leaps and lands in front of it. Ready to end this servant's life under its cybernetic foot.

"Uh oh…" Tamamo cat whimpers as she closes her eyes….

But she didn't feel pain at all.

She peaks one eye open to see Doomguy ripping chucks out the beasts back. The tyrant screams and tries to shake him off only for Doomguy to blast it in the back with his shotgun. He then ends it by stabbing it in the eyes with the Doom Blade and topples over with a mighty thud. Doomguy swiftly turns around and fires a BFG round in the air to vaporize the remaining Demons in the area.

Tamamo Cat just sat there in awe as she looked at the man. She then notices his hands are shaking as he puts away the BFG and breathes heavily. It took some effort to cut through his madness and end the battle quickly. Demons in general make him lose control faster which can be bad if he is working with allies.

"Are you okay, Doomguy?" Tamamo Cat asked, totally not worrying about herself. The man calms himself as he nods to answer her question. He then offers a hand to pull her out of the goo which she accepts.

"Ewww…this is going to take forever to clean out of my dress…" Cat said swinging her tail around to clean it.

"Hey! Are you all alright?" Nero said appearing from the structure she entered with a key in hand.

"Yeah! All of them went bye-bye!" Cat answered.

"All keys acquired. I recommend everyone take a safe distance as Doomguy kills the nest." Vega suggests.

"How dangerous is that?" Nero asked and Vega explains that larger tend to explode violently once its heart is destroyed. With that, she helps Tamamo Cat walk over to where their ally was standing Doomguy climbed to the top of the nest where the barrier was located. There were three growths in front of the barrier matching the three keys he had. He thinks back to the reason why he gained sudden clarity when Tamamo Cat was in danger…

Her animalistic nature triggered a flashback to Daisy's corpse, causing him to focus his anger. He hates that he still struggles to maintain clarity as it only comes back in dire situations.

"Berserker Rage...is blinding you to your true strength." Doomguy looked around as the voice he heard in Orleans spoke again for a brief moment until it was silent again.

He stabs each key into the growths causing the barrier to fall and leaving its beating heart exposed.

"You cannot protect them forever…" Another voice whispers as he pulls on his chainsaws ignition cable. Now, this voice was all too familiar to him, it was a voice that followed him wherever he was in hell. It was the Dark Lord of hell. He may have yet to face the beast but the Doomslayer knows that once the monster was killed, its death would pull the demons back to hell.

"...Either we kill them…" The chainsaw roars to life as the Dark Lord makes threats against the kids he was protected. Doomguy cuts viciously into the heart causing the ground to shake

"...Or your blind rage will be their demise…" The heart is destroyed and Doomguy triggers Overdrive to make it out before the nest explodes. With it gone the only thing that would anchor the demons to this world is the singularity itself. Doomguy rejoins the other servants and Vega reports a successful mission to the others.

"No matter how hard you hide it...I know your greatest fear…" The Dark Lord whispers his last taunt before the hell portal fades away. Unlike the last Super Gore nest, it died without a massive explosion due to it being in the early stages. The corruption around the local area began to rot away at a rapid pace as the servants walk back to the others.

Everyone returns to the cave where the others were camped out in. It was night so most of them were asleep except for Elisabeth who was doing Nightwatch. She welcomed them back quietly as everyone else was asleep. Nero and Tamamo cat decide to rest for the night as Doomguy takes his usual duty in guarding the group at night.

"You really don't sleep do you, Chief?" Elisabeth comments and doesn't get an answer. Elisabeth sighed but walked over to him to say something to him.

"I just want to say, thanks again for helping me back in Orleans." She said and Doomguy looks at her.

"I must look silly with the wish to become an idol, just to get away from my past." She said. Doomguy remained quiet as he wasn't going to judge the servant on her past. Her actions spoke for her during the battle of Orleans and earned her respect as an ally. At first, she was annoying along with Kiyohime, however, they proved useful in a fight and all that mattered to him...

"Anyways, sorry for bugging you. I just want to get it out of my system." The Bloody Demoness then decides to go to sleep entrusting the guard to Doomguy.

"Fou?" The little creature walks up to the man after Elizabeth went to sleep. The little guy was pretty quiet during this detour in the singularity.

It made Doomguy wonder if he was scared of the Demons or something.

"Fou!" Fou yelped wanting up on Doomguy shoulder, the man allowed it and gestured for the furball to be quiet so everyone could sleep.

Argent Curse

Ritsuka finds herself walking the UAC mars facility again, following the Doomslayer in this memory. He just saved the facility from exploding by restoring the cooling systems of the nearby foundry facility. As he walks to the next area he was greeted by the scowling figure of Olivia pierce on the other side of a glass window.

"Authorization, Olivia Pierce, Alpha 4 02" She activates a terminal starts rerouting the power of the entire facility to a single point

"She has locked me out, Doctor Hayden... " Vega said.

"All Power rerouted to Argent Energy Tower." The sub-system AI announces as oliva overloads the tower causing alarms to go off.

"She is trying to tear open the portal, between our world and theirs," Hayden said

"You could not have saved them anyway," Olivia said to the Doomslayer as Ritsuka watched her walk away. She knows now that woman was the cause of all this death and destruction. But why? Why do all of this? What caused her to betray humanity?

She shook her head, Hell preys on those with weak minds and will….or even servants fighting for the wrong cause. She looks down at her feet and to see Daisy looking up at her. Ritsuka then hears a noise and looks back up. She was now in a different area of the facility and Doomguy was fiddling with a machine in the room.

We are only Temporarily disabling the Tower; you need to remove each lens individually. Carefully release the hinges…" Hayden was then stopped with the sight of Doomguy crushing the machine with his foot.

"Warning. Energy contamination detected." The subsystem AI alerted.

"Destroying the production of argent energy isn't necessary." Hayden annoyed with what just happened.

"...Uhhh...Why did he do that?" Ristsuka said, still confused as Doomguy walks out of the room.

"He hates anything that involves Hell. Argent energy is created from hell, so he seeks to destroy it." The soft voice said as the redhead was taken through a fast view of each device getting smashed and Dr Hayden getting more and more annoyed.

"We spent decades perfecting Science, Selling it to humanity. We balanced their hell energy with our science making it usable and safe. We solved an energy crisis the world had no answer for. It works, you cannot do this!" Hayden pleaded over the comms.

"If stopping our energy production is what you want then you only need to destroy this last filter and Argent will no longer exist in this solar system...We will be back at square one…" Hayden groaned as Doomguy rips apart the last filter thus shutting down the argent tower. Everything goes dark again leaving only Ritsuka and Daisy.

"That was...something…" Ritsuka said looking down at Daisy.

"No one can control him, he wants to destroy the dark realm and all connections to it…" The soft voice spoke.

The next day arrives with a much warming feeling among everyone knowing that Demons won't be holding this singularity hostage. Tamamo cat helped out in making a great meal to lighten everyone's spirits while Vega surveyed the area. Doomguy was out searching for any stragglers remaining as to not let anything slip by. Both return with news that no demons remained on the island after the portal collapsed.

Lord El-Melloi II decided to leave the group as he wished to be alone for a while. Gudao asked him to join their cause but the caster rejected saying that he'd be dead weight with Doomguy around. He did say that he does look forward to being summoned by them in future though so that ended things on a positive note.

"With the nest destroyed and the United Empire not making any more deals with the demons. Demonic threats in these regions should remain at manageable levels." Romani said as everyone ate their fill.

"That is wondrous news! I knew we could count on you Praetor Slayer." Nero said back to her old self.

"That's a relief. Good work Doomguy!" Ritsuka said proudly of him as he sat down next to her. Almost immediately, Tamamo cat gave him a specially made sandwich just for him.

"Here! A Cat special for saving me from utter pain and destruction!" She said as he just takes the plate. He wasn't used to getting things in return for helping his teammates. Looking back at the Fox-zerker, who was hitting him with Weapons-Grade puppy dog eyes, he sighs expecting nothing to his numb palette.

Removing the lower part of his helmet, he takes a bite not expecting much.

He paused his chewing, then started again…

There was actual flavour. Doomguy thought the tea that Archer made was just a fluke when he was able to taste it. Do certain servants have the ability to make food that somehow revives his barren taste buds like his. Tamamo Cat expected some feedback on her cooking which only made things more awkward for him.

He gives her a thumbs up.

"Awww thank you! I made yours extra special since you saved my hide!" Tamamo Cat said overly cheerfully while Ritsuka was smiling at him. She was happy to see him interact nicely with other servants. Especially after what she saw in dreams of him dealing with Dr Hadyen, not that she liked the robot much either.

"Alrighty, the ship is ready to go. We should get back to Rome to finish the fight against the united empire." Gudao said standing up and stretching.

"Umu. Took the words right out of my mouth! The ship is ready so we should depart soon." Nero said.

The Crew began to prepare to leave the island as Stheno, Tamamo cat and Elisabeth decided to remain on the island to make sure no more demons were sneaking around. Everything seemed to go right until a figure began to walk out of the water shores of the Shaped Isle.

It is humanoid but its undead and monstrous features denied made it unrecognizable if it was human.

"What is that?" Ritsuka said as the servants stood forward.

"Target is unknown. Features are similar to possessed humans but the muscle mass is close to a Hellknight" Vega said while scanning as the creature. Doomguy just saw it as another demon and ran at it without waiting on vega.

"Doomguy wait!" Ritsuka called out but it was too late. Doomguy takes his super shotgun and blasts it. The creature dodges it and tackles him to the ground with the force of an earthquake. It roars as it strikes Doomguy with its fists while he's down, which the man counters by catching both. The Slayer then kicks the monster off of him and others come to support him.

"What is that thing? It's dodging his shots!" Gudao said as doomguy swaps to his mobile turret but the beast is fast, nearly fast as him. Romani and vega were scanning the new foe and found something very disturbing.

"Hiya!" Mashu yelled, bashing it with her shield and quickly blocking another hit.

"This thing...I hate to say it but it's like fighting a servant!" Mashu said huffing.

"You can't any more right Mashu! I am detecting a servant signal from that thing! But it's heavily corrupted." Romani said.

"A possessed...servant?!" Ritsuka is shocked as Nero joins the fight and the beast makes a beeline for her. Nero grunts blocking its strike with her blade as she is sent skidding across the sandy ground.

"...ero…" The servant spoke right before Doomguy blasted it with a ballista shot knocking it back a few feet. It lets out a mighty scream causing a wave of blue energy to hit its enemies.

"Guh!" Mashu grunted as the wave sent her flying while the energy was eating at her defences.

"My…." The beast Lunges at Nero again which she dodges counters with a swift slash to its back.

"...Precious….Nero….my...niece…", the beast grunts as it turns around looking at her with its demonic gaze. Nero freezes in shock, the only person to have such ramblings about her was...One of the enemy emperors…

Her Uncle...Caligula.

It dashes at her but She was still frozen in shock to see one of her own family be turned into a beast. Doomguy intercepts with a flying kick, followed up with a full-auto shotgun barrage.

"Arrrgh! NERO!" it screams out causing more pulses of his cursed vocals.

"What's wrong with Nero?" Gudao asked as he healed Mashu with his mystic code.

"I don't know, that Possessed Servant might be someone she knows," Mashu said as Vega flew by.

"Nero, are you alright?" Vega asked and she shook her head.

"That...Monster is my uncle…" She said as Doomguy and the demon battle it out.

"You mean Caligula?" He asked and She nodded. Vega finally understood what was going on. Somehow, Caligula might've got caught up with Caesar's dealings with Hell. At the cost of his soul and sanctity as a servant. Whatever the deal was, he was now turned into a monster and nothing else.

"Nero, I understand that these past days have been hard for you. None of this should have ever happened. But we can't change that now, we need you, Rome needs you." Vega said and she looked at the drone as his words were reaching her like a clear light in the darkness. Tears start running down her cheeks as she pulls herself back together. Vega was right, Rome needs her more now than ever! She wipes the tears off her face as her sword ignites with rapid flames.

"Praetor Slayer!" She calls out to Doomguy as he uppercuts the servant with his fist. He looks back and instantly understands what was going on.

"Arrrrrgggh!" Caligula screamed at his target of corrupted affection

"Uncle, I shall sing you requiem. As Know it's my duty as your niece, and as a proper emperor! Slayer, I'll need your assistance." She said with

valour in her eyes. Doomguy fires a cluster of sticky bombs and grenades to stun the corrupted berserker. Then holds him in place with a microwave beam from his plasma rifle.

"NERRROOOO!" Caligula screams.

"This is the end, Uncle!" She dashes forward with blinding speed and bisects her fallen family member. The demon burns away leaving a small golden light behind.

"Nero...Nero...My...beautiful...niece...I am...sorry...:" the light then fades away similar to a servant's death.

"Servant's spirit origin cleansed and neutralized," Vega announced and Nero let out a sigh of relief as now she knows her uncle can rest in peace once more. She decides to sit down as two major battles have completely drained her of both physical and mental energy. Ritsuka and the other walk up to them to give them congratulations and patch up any wounds.

"You guys alright?" Gudao asked.

"We are, I am just a bit drained for the time being," Nero said looking over at Doomguy who was looking at the blood-stained spot where Caligula died.

"I am afraid Hell's influence on this world is more than we anticipated. This servant was corrupted by hell, possibly another unforeseen outcome from Caesars dealing.." Vega said.

"This...Pardon my language, but, this is fucked up. I know of servants being Alter, but this is just turning them into straight-up monsters." Romani responded to Vega while shaking his head. Doomguy just accepts this as another reason to clean up these singularities.

"So, how bad are things now?" Ritsuka asked, suddenly walking over to her servant. Doomguy tensed up as he didn't want to add more stress on the girl than she already had.

"Even with this new threat, our goal has not changed. If this world's lack of data about Hell proves anything, restoring singularities should cut them off from your world." Vega said confidently.

"Right, Let's keep doing what we are doing and if those demons come knocking we can let Doomguy answer," Romani said. Ritsuka looks at Doomguy and he nods, promising that he'll slay any of those bastards that stand in his way. Stheno, Elisabeth and Tamamo Cat quickly come out of the forest to see what was all the commotion about. The three of them quickly apologized for not being around to assist in this sudden attack, Stheno especially while trying not to look at Doomguy. Unfortunately, they wasted enough time and needed to return to the mainland to finish this war for Rome.

"I hope to see you guys again," Elizabeth said.

"Yeah! Fighting those Demons with Doomguy is fun! Woof! I like tossing those meatball guys around!" Tamamo Cat said.

The trip back was far calmer as Nero decided to take a rest so Doomguy took the helm, these allowing a much more comfortable trip.

With recent developments of hell, he needs to set up some defences for the Masters. They weren't warriors nor powerful mages so they needed something practical in case an enemy gets the jump on them. H

Purely defence and full of countermeasures to help them escape a dangerous situation. The man then looked at the gauntlets of his custom made Praetor suit and remembered he had the power cores Valen gave him.

An idea popped into his head...He wondered if Vega still had the scans of his old suit on file and if the Wretch wanted to make himself useful.

AN: Hello there! The nest is down and well...A new enemy type showed up. So possessed servants are similar to Shadow servants but are under the control of Hell and the Dark lord. In the future, there are going to be servants that fall to Hell's temptations like Ceasar(Before becoming a part of Chaldea as they reformed to fight for humanity). The demon god pillars aren't keen to fall into the temptation as they have a goal rather than pure destruction but they won't do anything to stop them. Unless they threaten Goatia's plan, they aren't going to get rid of them.

Before anyone asks, no I am not shipping Doomguy with Tamamo Cat. Ok now that done, I am planning on some servants being interested in Doomguy and who or what he is. We already got Jalter going but I can think of a bunch of servants that would fight alongside him (Edmond Dante, Shiki, Scathach, Emiya etc). The Slayer earned the respect of the Sentinals through his actions so you can imagine the possibilities with Chaldea Servants.

(Tomoe Gozon being Gamer bros with Doomguy is totally on the drafting board BTW)

As for future "At Chaldea's Gate" episodes, The next one will involve bits of the moon goddess event and Halloween 1. Probably going to keep them between singularities to take a break and have some fun.
