Chapter 21: A Warning From An Ominous Stranger

The day is halfway over with by the time Tweek returns to the academy building.

He was initially supposed to had stayed at the three vampires' little hideout until third period ended, but as soon as the distant shrill of the bell ending third period reached their vicinity, Craig didn't want him to leave just yet. Butters and Clyde left for their last class.

As soon as they were gone, Craig apologized to Tweek. It wasn't half-assed, he expressed genuine remorse for not only punching him, but for also sucking his blood that night. Explaining that he didn't know what came over him, that the scent of his blood was odd yet compelling. He never knew a humans blood could smell so sugary.

Tweek then recalled Luke saying that his blood smelled sweet. Guess he wasn't lying about that after all...

Tweek forgave Craig, however he felt that he shouldn't be so easily forgiving. But then again, it was Luke's fault that he got his blood sucked in the first place. Kyle most likely had no plans for them to even meet Craig, Clyde, and Butters, seeing as how the door to their room was chained up. Whatever the reason, Tweek deduced that these guys weren't all that bad.

Since fourth period had just started, Tweek decided to stay sat in the living room until the class was over. Surprisingly, being alone with Craig was a bit less awkward than he thought it was going to be. Despite the lack of conversation.

Tweek did have some questions he wanted to ask him, but he had gotten the suspicion that he'd be pushing his luck if he let his curiosity get the best of him, so he kept his lips shut.

As Tweek hesitantly pushes one of the doors to the academy open, he instantly notes how quiet it is. Fearing that it's past 4:30 p.m, he quickly enters the building closing the door as gently as he can, then hurries to Mr. DeLorne's classroom. He seriously hopes he's not late...

After speed walking for a short while, he knows he's closing in on his destination when he hears a thick French accent along with another voice inside one of the classrooms. He's slowly beginning to get used to having heightened senses. Hoping the additional voice belonged to another student, Tweek nervously inches towards the door that was left opened just a crack to peek inside. The unknown voice he heard before did not come from a student sadly, it was from a teacher.

Sat behind Mr. DeLorne's desk is the man himself as well as another male with black hair and dark red eyes, sitting mighty close to the Frenchman.

"C'mooon Chris," the dark-haired man whines. "Just one kiss, then I'll leave you alone. Pleeease?"

Christophe reaches for a cigarette from out of the pack on top of his desk. "Non, I 'ave a student coming 'ere soon. You can wait until we get back to our room for zhat, you 'orny freak." Just when he's about to grab his lighter, the noirette quickly snatches it from off the desk and holds it away from him with a teasing grin. Christophe glares at him. "Beetch, do you wanna to die? 'and it over!" He reaches for his lighter, but the other male scoots his chair away from him.

"Nuh-uh, gimme a kiss first then you can have it back," the immature vampire goads, widening his grin when a fierce glint flickers in shamrock green eyes.

"Damien, you son of a-" Christophe growls before tackling the man to the floor.

...What the hell is Tweek witnessing right now? Are two grown men wrestling over a lighter?

With a dumbfounded blink, Tweek backs away from the door. He glances down both ends of the hallway, greatly relieved that no one is approaching. Boisterous, childish laughter overlaps pissed off swear words. Someone is bound to hear all of this, and Tweek doesn't want to stick around to be questioned about what's going on so he practically runs away to his shared bedroom.

He slows his pace after he rounds a corner, no longer able to hear the laughing and swearing. This hall is empty as well. Are the hallways always this barren during this time? Had he not went to Mr. DeLorne's classroom, Tweek would've thought he was the only one in the building.

All of sudden, he feels exhausted. A little bit physically, but mostly mentally. He still needs to figure out how to go about getting an answer from his friends regarding their crazy plan of escaping, he's also concerned that they will leave without him. They will undoubtedly do just that now that he's a vampire. The likely possibility puts a huge damper on his mood, even more so at the fact that he hadn't eaten or drank anything today. Realizing this makes his insides tighten. Right away he craves coffee, but he instantly wonders if vampires can even drink that. And what about food? Does only blood fill both of those roles?

Stopping, Tweek covers his mouth, feeling queasy at the thought. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he lowers his hand and resumes his walk to his shared bedroom, his gaze to the floor and his movements sluggish. Now he feels twice as worse, fighting not to collapse to the floor. He hopes he's nearing the room soon, he could just teleport there, but doing that would surely require some energy. He barely has any, even walking is taking a lot out of him. But he doesn't stop nor slows down, he can't because he doesn't want to worry anybody that will eventually see him. He soon senses someone's presence up ahead.

"Tweek?" Detecting the hesitancy and concern in the familiar voice, Tweek stops walking again while raising his head, seeing Kyle ambling towards him. He doesn't have the strength to say anything to the redhead. "I'll take you to the infirmary," Kyle offers noticing Tweek's sickly appearance.

Tweek shakes his head declining the kind offer, he doesn't want to trouble Kyle nor the male nurse anymore, although he's glad Kyle didn't ask him about his whereabouts.

Frowning but opting not to be assertive, Kyle helps Tweek to their room. Walking in, Kyle closes the door behind them. While he's being ushered to his bed, Tweek notices that Kenny is absent. He doesn't question it though.

"Get some rest. I'll wake you up when it's time for dinner."

Tweek expresses his thanks with a small nod and a weak smile, then begins to unbutton his blazer. Kyle walks over to his own bed to resume the book he was reading earlier. Shrugging his blazer off, not caring that it falls to the floor, Tweek slips off his shoes, then crawls into bed.

It doesn't take long for the comforting silence to lull him to sleep.

...

...

...

When Tweek awakens, an uncomfortable feeling accompanies him. He groans, opening his eyes in groggy flutters. In that instant, he notices how dark it is and he shoots upwards in a panic, glancing around. Then his vision starts adjusting to the darkness of the room, so well that he can clearly make out the two bodies sleeping in their beds as well as the time on the alarm clock next to him on the nightstand, which reads 12:08 a.m.

"..." Tweek didn't think he would sleep until this late, perhaps it's thanks to the dream he had just woken up from. Which is also the cause of this awful feeling he's experiencing.

He can't help but recall it as he sits there with jaded eyes; the shadows of the room surging forward, allowing a new scenery to come forth in its place, gradually brightening in a hazy white and grey. It doesn't take too long for him to be suddenly standing in a vast field of snow, the clouds above a nostalgic grey as snowflakes descend down to the ground in slow little numbers. Everything about this place seems and feels so real, such as the wind that's blowing tenderly through the air, and a figure clad in all black walking up to Tweek.

"I told you we would meet again so there's no need for you to look so bewildered," the man says stopping in front of the teen. "Anyway, how are you handling your new life as a vampire thus far?"

Tweek is unable to answer him due to the many emotions he's undergoing at the moment. "I-I must be dreaming again...y-yeah, that's gotta be it..." But something in him told him that this isn't a dream, that this is actually happening right before his very eyes.

The shady man tilts his head to the side at Tweek's silence. "Hmm, well whether you're used to your new life or not, it's only going to progress into more dangers."

Tweek flinches at his last statement, nervously looking into the man's hood, his eyes nowhere to be seen. "W-what do...you mean by that?" He grimaces after asking his question, his throat feels dry.

The man aligns his head straight as he answers by asking, "Have you heard of vampire hunters?" Tweek opens his mouth to reply, but the male continues talking. "I'm here to forewarn you about a certain vampire hunter that's been on the prowl as of late. They've already killed several vampires in the short span of one day. Of course, word hasn't gotten around about them just yet, but it's only a matter of time when you and the other vampires in and outside of the academy will become their next target."

Tweek appears skeptical and also a bit on-edge as he looks down at the snow. This guy had already lied to him before, telling him so nonchalantly that being a vampire wasn't going to be all that bad. So far, Tweek's days as a bloodsucker have been far from good. Even though he's getting accustomed to his enhanced senses, it doesn't mean his paranoia is going to get any better although strangely enough, it hasn't gotten any worse either. But that's not what he's mainly worried/upset about, it's the fact that he can't drink coffee anymore. Or at least he thinks he can't since he hasn't had the chance of acquiring his favorite beverage lately. But if it turns out that vampires aren't able to consume coffee, then screw living for an eternity. He hopes he dies from blood dehydration. He sees no useful perks in being a supernatural creature, and he doubts there will be any in the future.

Now glaring at the ground, he looks up ready to question the man about his effacious knowledge of this supposed vampire hunter when the scenery around him swiftly alters back into his shared bedroom, the dark clad figure long gone.

That's exactly how it went in his dream. He had hoped to at least change it by getting his query out this time, but alas, he got distracted by his thoughts.

Tweek's vision once again focuses in the dark, Kyle and Kenny are still in a deep sleep, and five minutes have past when he glances over at the alarm clock again. Suddenly, a sweet scent enters his nostrils. He blinks at the source, right next to the alarm clock is a plastic cup with a sticky note stuck on it. He honestly can't believe he overlooked this.

Fearing that it's nothing but blood in the white container, Tweek reaches for it, first reading what's written on the small piece of paper.

'I tried waking you up, but it still looked like you needed the extra rest so I brought you something to drink. If it's cold by the time you wake up, you can heat it up in the teachers lounge. It's two hallways down, third door on the left.'

The directions to the teachers lounge were squeezed in to fit the little remaining space on the paper, but Tweek was able to make out the words and is very thankful. Even if it's blood, he doesn't have the heart to just leave it be.

Removing the note, Tweek gets out of bed as quietly as he can, locates and slips on his dress shoes, and practically tiptoes to the door. Instead of going to the teachers lounge, he will just wander around until he finds a nice area to sit at, and rid away the thoughts that have been plaguing his mind due to reliving that dream. Hopefully finding a resting spot won't take him too long, and in the meantime, he hopes he doesn't run into an administrator that might be supervising the halls.

He closes the door, relieved when it doesn't make a sound upon it shutting and ambles down the hallway, balling the note up. The teen feels like he's become a spy as he sneaks down the quiet, vacant hallway, even his footsteps are inaudible.

At the far end of the hallway, a pair of ebony eyes peeking from behind a corner watch his figure until he enters another hall further down. With a mischievous glint in their black eyes, the mysterious vampire follows after Tweek.

(A/n: I get the feeling that some or a lot cringed at how OOC Damien is...and I'm sorry! Told ya some characters were going to be like that. But I hope you enjoyed and the next chapter will be up soon)
