Chapter 19

"So you are saying even if we did fire our shots, we wouldn't have made a dent?" Drake asked as they reached landfall on another island after dealing with the encounter with Blackbeard.

"Correct, VEGA was doing a scan of the ship while Doomguy was busy kicking Blackbeard's ass." Romani said

"Doctor…Please be professional here…" Mashu interjected.

"... Right, sorry. His ship was reinforced with some form of magical enhancement that only a servant would be able to breach the hull. So we are at a disadvantage if there are other ships out at with similar enhancements." The Acting Director continued as Doomguy and Asterios looked around the perimeter for enemies.

According to VEGA the Golden Hind was completely outgunned and armoured by Queen Anne's Revenge due to magical enhancements. Which brought up concerns for further exploration of this singularity.

"Our two captives still report the contract with Blackbeard. Meaning he is still out there and it is only a matter of time before he comes after us again. I have a theory that his ship is a Noble Phantasm, so we must plan out our next move properly." VEGA stated

"Ugh, how can he survive the beatdown Asterio's and Doomguy gave him!" Euryale said while crossing her arms.

"He must have some form of battle continuation in order to survive that." Ritsuka said with much disappointment.

"Yes, very unfortunate. He is a servant I'd rather not face again." Mashu added with a look of disgust on her face.

"As a member of the Male Gender, I must apologies for his existence." Gudao said solemnly as he rubbed his temples.

"Oh there's no need for that Senpai. We can all agree that he doesn't represent men as a whole. We have You, Asterios, Doomguy-san and all the other males we have met to prove that!" Mashu asserted, causing her master to smile at her which caused the Kouhai to look away to hide her blushed looks.

"Fou! Kyuu!" Fou barked while sitting on top of VEGA

"Of course you too, Fou." Ritsuka added and Fou looked appeased to that.

"As a Pirate I wish to apologies for all Pirates. Genuinely that bastard is a curse among the seas." Drake added as Doomguy and Asterios returned, covered in Monster blood.

"I see both of you were busy. Found any Demons that we have to clear out?" Drake asked and Both Berserkers shook their heads. At least that's some good news for the group.

"Still scanning from my end. I'll give you a shout if I find anything that might be a threat." Romani assured.

"The list of threats seems to be growing these days. Eh, Doomguy?" Ritsuka looked at her servant. He shrugs as nothing was a threat to him, well other than her weapon's grade puppy dog eyes. As per protocol with the other two islands, they started to explore the newly discovered landmass for any clues on their objectives. Only to be attacked by a horde of angry wyverns that seemed to be the dominant creature of the island.

"You know, It's kind of gettig really annoying seeing these things everywhere we go!" Ritsuka yelled as Doomguy held her in one arm while blasting the wyverns chasing them with hot plasma.

"I feel that, HIYA! We are all in agreement with that!" Mashu said while delivering a lethal kick to the skull of a lizard of unusual size. Gudao was on top of giving her some boosts with his C.E.S, allowing him to assist Mashu in a way much more comparable to a proper Magus.

Doomguy got Ritsuka to a safer position and swapped to some heavier ordinance via his Rocket Launcher.

"Boom?" Ristuka asked

Doomguy nods.

"Boom it is then!" Ritsuka followed his plan and cast Instant Enhancement to increase the payload. Doomguy then unleashes rockets at the flock of Wyverns swarming the skies above as Asterios and Euryale fought off the stragglers that survived their crashed landings. The wyvern slaying continues until an actual dragon shows up, no doubt the alpha of this island. This would've been an issue but they have faced off against Fafnir back in France while the one roaring at them was clearing just a nameless flying lizard. It did however breathe lightning instead of fire or frost so that was new.

"RAAAH!" Asterios grabs the Tail of the beast before it could try to fly up into the sky.

"Down!" He forces it back to the ground. Allowing Doomguy to jump onto its back with his crucible ignited. He runs up its back and severs each wing, rendering it flightless as it roars in pain. It rears its head and bites doomguy whole causing distress among his allies.

However, Doomguy pries open its mouth with indomitable strength to hold its jaw open. He extends his Doomblade and starts slicing up the inside of the Dragons' mouth to give it a bloody root canal. The dragon shakes its head around while trying to get the man out of his mouth. As Doomguy slices off the tip of its tongue, he could sense the buildup of magical energy looming up the beast's throat. He quickly drops a few frags down its gullet and seals off the throat with an ice bomb before leaping out of the lizard's jaws.

As Doomguy lands, the dragon explodes violently leaving only its tail end behind…Along with coating the local area in charred Dragon blood and charred bits.

"Enemy force eliminated, we should-"

"Eewww! So gross! Can you not spill the guts of everything you fight!" Euryale shrieked, Interrupting VEGA, as she was trying to get the blood out of her hair. Pretty much everyone was covered in dragon bits and blood minus the masters due to the C.E.S Shielding. Ritsuka was especially pleased with that function after seeing Mashu covered in Dragon blood.

"That's like asking a Hellspawn not to consume the souls of the damned." The Wretch said as he appeared out of nothing.

"Hey! Shut it! Where were you while we were fighting anyway?!" Euryale said furiously.

"Not used to getting your hands dirty are ya princess?" Drake said as wasn't too displeased as she has been through worse herself.

"Princess? I'm a goddess!" Euryale said willing glaring at the captain who only chuckled.

"If you must know, I was scoping the place out for servants. Turns out there is one nearby, I would say be careful but it seems that you guys already know them. Well one of them at least." The Hellish turncoat mentioned and Euryale only sighs in response

"Well, I am detecting a magical signature approaching you guys." Romani stated a very familiar woman in white attire waves in the distance.

"Heeeeey! Ritsuka, Gudao! Is that you!?" The Greek Goddess of the Moon, Artemis said as she floated over the blood-stain ground. The welcoming familiar face was a great change of pace after dealing with Blackbeard. Now the question was what's with the teddy bear sitting on her head.

"Yes, Artemis, it's us!" Ristuka said along with Gudao

"Alright! That is just superb, this is my Darling-" The teddy bear jumped off her head and directed his attention towards the females of the group.

"Oh my! So many beautiful maidens! Each with their own unique plus, especially in their chest-GAHH!" The teddy bear was then snatched up by Artemis and squeezed with an ungodly amount of force.

"Darling, you weren't about to go ogling at some other women are you?" She said with a very threatening tone towards the bear.

"N-no I wasn't! I wasn't! My mistake! Honest!" He pleaded and Artemis let him go.

"Sorry about my Darling, he says the silliest things sometimes." She said switched back to her bubbly behaviour on a dime.

"Senpai…I don't know how much of this…The strangeness I can take…" Mashu whispered to Gudao while trying to wipe off the mess on her armour.

"Don't worry, I'll make it up to you once we get that grail." He answered honestly as he regrets having to deal with not only a pervert but an un-loyal teddy bear.

"...Lady Artemis…Is that, entity…Orion, Your lover?" VEGA seemed to be struggling to comprehend the possibility that a Bear like a creature was the person that the data suggested.

"Oi! I have a name and it's Orion! You oversized eyeball-" His words were stopped by Doomguy approaching him with an aura that would silence even the loudest of humans. The Slayer towers over the tiny bear-man as he looks down at him through his visor. His face was shrouded by the aura that expressed the message for him…

"I apologies for my unacceptable behavior and will return to my lovely wife immediately." Orion stated as if he was apologizing to the United Nations.

"Well, with THAT out of the way! Can we find somewhere to wash off this blood?" Euryale asked.

"Oh, There's a river nearby. You can use that!" Artemis offered and the blood-covered woman agreed to head out.

"I-I think I'll remain here. There's no need for me to be there." Orion said with a stutter as if he was resisting an urge."

"Ok Darling!" Artemis said, accepting her lover's sudden self-control and led Drake the others to the river to wash off. Leaving Ritsuka the remaining female standing due to her Exo-suit keeping her clean.

"Soooo….You guys are wondering why I am a bear?" Orion said, trying to spark a conversation.

"That would be enlightening." Gudao said

"Honestly, I have little to no idea. I just got summoned into this form and next thing I know Artems was summoned with me. Right now, I am infinitely close to useless. I can't live unless I totally depend on her for everything…I want to Independent so badly." Orion explained.

Armoured Offensive!

Doomguy was still un-amused with Orion's antics but it seems that his current condition poses little to no threat to the group. It also puts him at ease that Artemis seems to be on top of his behaviour, unlike that bastard Blackbeard who is a constant stream of degeneracy. Noticing VEGA was scanning the dragon corpse, he decided to check out what the AI was doing.

"Oh, Hello Slayer, I am just running some scans on the corpse of wyverns. I have found that their Scales have very good defensive properties. With recent discoveries about our enemies. I would like to make the suggestion that we reinforce The Golden Hind with these materials." VEGA suggested and Doomguy nodded in agreement, This will give them an edge against not only servants but possibly Demons as well.

"I have also detected an odd power signature within the corpse of the Alpha" VEGA then marked it on his hud. It was located in the very charged remains of the dragon's upper section. He walked over and started moving chunks of dead lizard out of the way, cutting into some still intact bits. He manages to fight the source of the energy signature, it was a purple crystal of some unknown material. He pulls it out of the corpse and observes the geode as it crackles with electricity in his hand.

"I take it that crystal is the reason the dragon breathes electricity. Dragons, in general, have a strange appetite for eating gemstones and whatever is shiny." The Wretch said, appearing over his shoulder. The Ex-Demon then activates his wrist-mounted computer to get a scan of his own.

"Wow. That thing is just pulsing with energy, You could run a small city with it...Or…make something more to your liking, Slayer." The Wretch suggested. Doomguy pondered for a bit as he understood what he meant. His arsenal could use another addition however that would have to wait as the mission takes priority. He gestures for the wretch to take it but he declines.

"I can't risk having something that could easily leave an energy trail behind me. As much as I would love to make you another tool of destruction, I need to lay low in order to give you intel" The Wretch stated respectfully enough not to incur the wrath of his boss. Doomguy decides not to press on about it as The Wretch was proving himself to be useful as an ear to hell's movements. I guess he'll see if Da Vinci is up for another project when they return to Chaldea.

"What I CAN do is help you guys reinforce the ship. As you experienced I know a thing or two about armour. We can spruce up the ship so that it will be able to hold its own against unconventional opponents" The servant of the slayer then snapped his boney fingers and small red drones appeared. They started to extract the scales off of the corpses and cut them into workable pieces.

"You know, for a demon, you seem to know your way around technology." Romani commented as he observed the drones working from his end.

"Yeah, it's kind of strange seeing all of this coming from the same place as those Demons." Gudao said.

"Well this ain't the hell that your world's history knows. It's not a punishment for sinners like some of your various holy texts mention. Hell doesn't care if you are good or evil, it consumes all in the end…" The Wretch said with a disgusted sound in his voice.

"Kyuuu…" Fou barked in agreement while looking over at the Slayer who clenched his fist.

"Ah, shit went too dark, sorry. To answer your question, let's just say it's not all fire and brimstone down there. Sometimes tech gets pulled through, and I end up picking up the scraps. I started tinkering over time and built my mind beyond my base urges. That's why I sided with the Slayer as I became aware of the atrocity that I was a part of.." The wretch said. Ritsuka felt kinda bad for the guy as he seemed to hold a tremendous amount of guilt after becoming self-aware. Of course, she was still wary of him, but at least Doomguy has his loyalty.

After the drones were finished with processing the scales and the others returned from their wash. They returned to the Golden Hind to begin work on getting the new Dragonscale plating upgrades applied to the ship. The Wretch did all of the work with his drones and expertise to make sure it was done in the most efficient way possible.

"Have to give you credit, Slayer. Your lackey knows his stuff!" Drake said as she liked the armour upgrade applied to her ship. The Golden hind was now reinforced completely with the Dragon Scales with no area left to chance.

"What do you think, Bloodwater?" She asked Sliva who was with her observing the upgrade process.

"It's a very strategic choice, Captain. Back in my homeworld this was a very common practice to reinforce our forces with dragon hide." Silva commented.

"You guys have dragons too?" Ritsuka said as she was standing next to Doomguy.

"Yes, They were one of the many creatures originating from the areas surrounding the World Spear." Silva said.

"World Spear?" Ritsuka said while tilting her head in confusion.

"It's a massive object believed to be from the heavens that pierces through our homeworld. It's where the Holy Wraiths came from and bless our people with their magic." Silva stated while feeling saddened due to her past allegiances involvement with their deities' unholy demise.

"Really?" Ritsuka then looked to Doomguy who nodded with confirmation. It amazed him as well when he started to get his mind back together thanks to Valen's training. Drake then leaves to prepare the crew for sea once more along with a speech to improve morale.

Doomguy and the others decide to relax for a few hours while the Golden Hind preparations are nearing completion.

"Hey Darling. Let's do that thing. The you-know-what. That thing where I stand at the bow and Extend both arms" Artemis suggested.

"Yep, you can do it by yourself. Be careful of seagulls, they can be nasty and ruin the moment." Orion said contently, only to get his wife upset with him.

"You won't hug me from behind? So cruel!" Artemis said.

"Don't ask a plush toy for the impossible!" He reminded his lover of his current form's limitations. Most of the time he just sits on top of her head and hangs on for dear life. Doomguy watches on as they bicker for a bit before calming down and becoming friendly once again. Almost like husband and wife…Why did those words seem to call out to him? Why was he so envious of seeing a married couple's forever bound even as a servant…

Again, it felt like he had forgotten something…Something Important.

"Fou, kyuuuu?" The little guy barked as he noticed The Slayer lost in thought.

"Ah Fou, there you are!" Mashu said, walking over to pick up the little furball.

"Oh Doomguy-san, we are ready to depart!" Mashu said and Doomguy nodded. He can worry about himself later, it was time for the hunter to become the hunted.

Now back out to see, it was time to take out one loose end and that was Blackbeard. He was their closest link to the Holy Grail and now down two servants, he might risk getting help from the Hellspawn. Anne and Mary confirmed their contract was still in effect yet he wasn't issuing any orders at the moment.

"We'll be entering unknown territory soon. Won't be able to use the vikings' map anymore. It'll be an adventure, so that's fine! The problem is Blackbeard and Hellspawn." Drake said while holding the piece of parchment.

"Even with our current servant number advantage, he could restore his numbers by using a command seal on our two prisoners. Forcing them to fight us. He could also be siding with Hell for all we know." Mashu stated the possibilities that they could face as they venture out into unknown territories.

"We're way faster though. Should we use the ram to charge them?" Drake suggested with an excited smile.

"I would advise against that captain. If there is hellspawn on that Degenerate's ship, we can't be sure how long our armour will last." Silva added, calling from experience.

"That look in your eye, you're expecting something worse aren't you?" The Captain could pick up the sense of suspicion in her first mate.

"Silva, is something wrong?" Mashu asked.

"It's nothing other than a strange feeling as we make progress in these mysterious waters. Call it a case of sailor paranoia, but when Demons are lurking about…Nothing is certain…" The Ex-Maykr Loyalist sat as she gazed out into the sea, causing concern to grow within Mashu and Captain Drake.

"Ah! I Apologise, I shouldn't be making things even more stressful with my ramblings." Silva stuttered with embarrassment as she got caught up in the moment with all this sea exploration.

"Haha! You just need to relax, Bloodwater. We got this no matter what happens as this is one the best adventures I have had so far!" Drake said cheerfully as she put her arm over the Sentinels shoulder.

"Don't worry about it Silva, we are all carrying heavy weight on our shoulders." Mashu assured her ally that there was nothing wrong with airing one's concerns. As this was happening, another conversation was taking place over at the bow of the ship.

"...So can anybody explain the Teddy Bear?" The Wretch asks as he has never seen such an oddity ever in his hellish existence.

"Heck, I'd wish I knew! This is completely embarrassing for a warrior named Orion!" Orion shouted with frustration.

"Awwww Don't say Darling! I am here to fight in your place!" Artemis is trying to console her husband.

"So, what kind of powers did you have Orion?" Ritsuka asked, curious about the man behind the teddy bear.

"If I recall, Orion can walk on water." Romani said over comms as he sipped his coffee.

"You're the son of lord poseidon. So you can walk on water…Wait, that's it?" Euryale said, disappointed to learn what happened to the son of the Greek of the sea.

"...Look, even I wish I had slightly cooler powers. What am I, a water strider or something?" Orion said, waving his little club around as if he was trying to look tough.

"So what about Artemis then?" Gudao asked, curious about the goddess's situation within this strange summoning situation.

"Oh I have all of Orion's powers. Including water walking one." She said as she started to hug Orion very tightly. Maybe a little too tightly.

"Awe, you're so cute when you're sad and gloomy! I just want to squeeze you tight!" Artemis then proceeds to squeeze him hard against her bosom. He was about to ask Ritsuka to let him cry into her chest but then remembered the big scary man of a servant she had. So he chose to be a little more faithful to his wife for once…

Doomguy and Asterios were in the lower decks moving and securing the cannons as the wretch was able to increase their firepower by mixing in some dragon bone into the black powder mix. This should help them against the Queen's Anne's Revenge enhanced armour.

"Over..here?" Asterios asked as he was carrying multiple barrels of the enhanced black powder. Doomguy nods as he secures another crate of cannonballs with rope to prevent them from spilling out mid-battle.

"Are…we…going...to..Fight…blackbeard…right?" The big guys asked out of the blue. Doomguy reluctantly nods as it seems somehow that the pirate was still alive. According to VEGA, he must have some form of Battle Continuation to survive the beatdown The Slayer gave him.

"Good…must…protect…Euryale" He said with purpose in his voice. At first, Doomguy didn't understand the relationship between Euryale and Asterios, he thought she was just bossing him around. Yet the minotaur didn't seem to mind it at all, rather he looked like he was happy to be around her. Perhaps just having someone to protect for once changes a person? Doomguy thinks about his relationship with Rituska and how things have changed for him over the past couple of months. She has been dragging him into all sorts of social events and constantly seeking him out when there were much more sociable servants around.

One would say it would get annoying for a man like him…Yet he didn't mind it at all.

"My lord! We have a situation!" Silva called out from the upper deck, pausing his train of thought.

"It is urgent. We have spotted Blackbeard's Ship…And it's under attack by Demons." VEGA said over his helmet comms. Both servants rushed to the upper deck to see what was going on. Doomguy could see the enemy ship and it was getting decimated by demons coming out of the water.

"What should we do?" Gudao asked, He didn't mind going in to help but at the same time he wasn't in too much of a rush to save Blackbeard and have Mashu deal with his banter.

"I'd say let them fight it out. No need to risk our crew for that makes our job easier." Drake suggested it could be beneficial to them if they stick to the sidelines.

"I am going to have to disagree with you on that one." The Wretch said scanning the ship with his wrist-mounted computer.

"We can't let another servant fall into hell's grasps. The last thing you guys need is a whole damn ship of demons hunting you guys." The ex-demon said.

"He's right. Possessed servants are a challenge even with Doomguy's help. You guys are in real danger if they take the ship, A Noble Phantasm, for hell." Romani pointed out over the comms.

"As much as I dislike Blackbeard's actions towards our female allies, I am afraid we have no choice. We have to exterminate all demonice threats, regardless of who is attacking." VEGA said.

"So what's the plan then, Doomguy?" Ritsuka said, bringing all the attention to The Slayer. His response?

He cracks his knuckles.

Fall of a Pirate, Return of an enemy.

"Come on you fools! Hold the line! I refuse to be some hell beast twisted experiment! I am happy with the way I am now!" Blackbeard shouts as fights against the invading hellspawn. Unfortunately, the crew seemed to be losing due to the loss of his two servants that betrayed him.

"So what stops you from calling back Anne and Mary then?" Another servant wielding a spear said as he impaled a Hellknight.

"Because it's too scummy! Even for me! I prefer to have women do stuff for me out of love! Once I save them from that hag's clutches then I am sure they will join my Harem." Blackbeard pathetically explains his logic. The other servant just shakes his head as he fends off the wretched horde until the ship starts to get struck with cannon fire.

"What is it now!?" Blackbeard turns towards where they are getting shot from and instantly recognizes the attacker.

"Oh great! Now the Hag is after me! Wait, that means all those other ladies are with them!" Blackbeard cheered up with his odd thoughts.

"...that includes Euryale." The male brown-haired servant said. The Golden Hind gains upon the Queen Anne Revenge and graze its side causing sparks to fly as the two ships' enhanced armour smashed into each other.

"Go, move in!" The Masters shout as they jump aboard the enemy ship with Mashu, Doomguy, VEGA and Asterios.

"Good luck! Send those bastards to the bottom of the ocean!" Drake yelled as the Golden Hind broke away from the under-siege ship.

"Master! Your order's!" Mashu said as she readied her shield and Doomguy rev's his chaingun.

"Defeat Blackbeard and take out as many demons as you can!" Gudao said.

"Doomguy, keep the demons off our backs. Asterios and Mashu will handle Blackbeard." Ritsuka ordered. Doomguy gave a thumbs up and quickly got to work doing what he does best: Rip and Tear.

"Oh great! That guy is here again, Thanks to him I can't stiff down south!" Blackbeard then notices him fighting the Demons. He then notices the two masters approach him and he sees this as an opportunity to get a look at the redhead.

"At last! The Two Scallywag Master's, on my own ship no less! You have some mighty nerve to board my ship without an escape route!" He said as he jumped down towards them from the helm.

"We aren't running, we are taking you down right here and now!" Ritsuka said with determination.

"Ooooh! A fiery red-head! May I have your name since I was so rudely interrupted-GAH!" Blacker bear recoiled as he was struck with two arrows at once. Looking back at the ship he sees Euryale and another woman sniping at him from the Golden Hind.

"Take this!" Mashu didn't leave him a chance to recover and bashed him then followed up with a roundhouse kick to the jaw.

"Asterios! Go!" Ristuka said.

"Must…Protect…Euryale!" Asterios yells as he swings his twin axes at Teach. The Rider class servant just barely dodges it only to get bashed again by Mashu.

"Alright! Then I guess I'll amp up then! Come on boys! Time for a real fight!" Teach then started to radiate with magical energy as more of his crew appeared out of thin air.

"Holy Grail confirmed. Teach is currently using it to increase his combat output.." VEGA alerted.

"Then we gotta get it before the Demons do!" Ritsuka said powering up her C.E.S Mystic codes to give Asterios a boost as he starts cutting through the summoned crew to give Mashu an opening at their enemy.

"RAAAAAH!" Asterios crashes through them like a beast as Mashu takes the hand to hand against Teach. In the background, Doomguy was carving up demons like there was no tomorrow. A Doom-hunter showed up and he was using his Meathook to get close to and Blood punched the upper half of its rocket sledge. A Quick blade through the skull to finish it off before jumping on top of a Cacodemon and steered it around to bombard a pack of gargoyles with micro missiles. Before the assault he had Ritsuka use two command seals on him to keep his rage from going out of control. Two may have seemed to be overkill but he didn't want to risk anything after learning that he can somehow ignore them.

Artemis, Euryale and Blood water were on sniper support back on the Golden Hind to aid in the battle while keeping the ship guarded against attackers. VEGA just reported that the pervert had the grail they were looking for so this had to be the final battle before anything else reared its ugly head.

Doomguy remained focused as he stayed airborne using the recoil of the Ballista and the meat hook to keep the Demons focused on him. Each kill gave him back magical energy so that Ritsuka didn't need to worry about replenishing. Back on deck, Teach was in a losing battle as his attack power was severely limited due to the lower number of servants on his side. The armoured berserker was cleaning house on those demons and the horned one was giving his crew a thrashing.

"Have to say, this is one of the better battles I have been in. It almost makes me want to have the Hag around. Hah! And Fighting such cute ladies is a plus! Gaaah!" Blackbeard then took a hit to the groin via a kick from the purple-clad shielder.

"Gaaaah!" That created an opening for Asterios to sever Teach's left arm forcing him to nearly fall overboard and risking sending the Grail to the bottom of the ocean.

"Looks Like I am beaten. As much as I hate to say it as a pirate, you got me. So, Tell Drake that it was kinda cool to meet a hundred year old legend like herself-" Teach was then impaled from behind by another servant that he thought was his alley.

"Sorry Captain, Now that you are vulnerable, I will be taking that grail off of you!" the Male servant said as he pulled out the challenges after our Teacher's satchel.

"Opportunistic…Piece of…Shit…Hector.." The pirate known as Blackbeard falls over and fades away, but not without revealing his killer's real name.

"Hector?!" Mashu said

"Dammit, Moron actually had some smarts on him after all. Yeah, I am Sir Hektor. Hero of the Trojan war. I would stick around to chat but I have a job to do and this ship is getting a little crowded. So I'll take my-" He quickly jumps overboard to avoid Doomguy about to strike him from above.

"Nice try! I am out of here!" Hector then uses the holy grail's power to create a magic boat to escape. Doomguy opened fire on the vessel with his Precision bolt but Hector used the grail to cast a barrier around his boat.

"We need to retreat now! Without Blackbeard, the ship will disappear soon!" Gudao said, frustrated that they let the grail getaway.

"Firing signal Flare." VEGA said as he shot a projectile into the sky. Within moments the Golden Hind was turning around.

"Wait, Where are the Demons? Did you get them all?" Ritsuka asked as suddenly there was a lack of hellspawn.

"Oh, how wishful a child can be…" A voice echoes from nothingness. It was foreign to Chaldea but Doomguy and VEGA looked at each other as they didn't want to believe who was calling out to them.

"We have merely changed plans as new cards are being played. Enjoy your little victory, Slayer, as the real battle has yet to come! It will be some of my finest works and you and your little pets shall break under its might!" Doomguy clenched his fist wondering how the fuck did that bastard survived getting his head chopped off even after killing his guardian to confirm he would stay dead!

"Voice Print Scan 100%. Slayer, It's Deag Ranak!" VEGA confirmed the sudden return of one of the hell priests Doomguy killed to save another earth.

"Of course it had to be that Bastard. Ranak as much as I hate to admit, he was the smarter of the three Hell Priests." The Wretch said appearing out of thin air.

"Well, Well, It's the Wretch who shall not be named. I see the Slayer is still using you as a tool?" Ranak said with disgust.

"Better being a tool to do some good rather than serve a shitty inventor that can't make anything last two shotgun blasts to the face!" The Wretch taunted as he took his work to be superior to whatever Ranak could make.

"Why you little ingrate. I will show you all in-"

"Oh look at the time, Later pea-brain!" The Wretch then snaps his fingers and teleports the group back onto Drake's ship.

"I figured I'd speed things up, Because well…" The ex-demon points across from them to Euryale and Artemis tending to a severely wounded Silva. Her clothes were covered in blood as her hands were still clutching her rifle.

"M-my lord…" Silva said weakly as Drake came rushing to her with medical supplies.

"Easy there Silva, hold still. You did more than anyone can ask for." Drake said as she tended to her first mate.

"What happened?" Mashu asked.

"Well, Hector showed up out of nowhere and attempted to take Euryale. Silva managed to shoot him in the shoulder and fought him. What we didn't know was that he had a Holy grail on him and countered harshly against her." Orion re-told the fight as VEGA came to assist with much more advanced medical supplies to aid silva.

"She...Protected…Euryale?" Asterios became very thankful for the woman as he was worried about his friend while fighting Blackbeard.

"Is she going to be okay? Is there any way we can help?" Ritsuka asked.

"If she is a servant, A contract will allow her to recover more quickly" Romani suggested as Drake started to carry Silva to her quarters.

"That stuff can wait. She needs rest, Captain's orders." Drake said as she carried her away leaving and the crew returned to their duties. Doomguy was about to walk away to plan their next move until Euryale stood in his way.

"Don't you have anything to say!?" She asked Furiously. The Slayer just stared at her.

"Isn't Silva your subject!? Shouldn't you be angry about this?!" She shouted at him. Ritsuka was about to step in to defuse the situation as Doomguy isn't the most talkative. Until Asterios picked Euyrale up out of the blue, much to the Euryale's embarrassment.

"Yelling…solves…Nothing…" Asterios said.

"B-but-" Euryale stuttered.

"Slayer…Does…Not…Need…To…Speak…Action…Matters…Words…Less" Asterios stated as he struggled to put his thoughts into words but Euryale seemed to get what her friend was trying to say.

"Fine…I am Sorry. Just…Make sure she lives okay! She has earned a blessing from me." She said and Asterios smiled as the sunset on another battle.

"Well, you guys survived another battle. Unfortunately, the Grail got away and it would seem more servants are in play than we realised. Which reminds me, now that Blackbeard is gone one of you two should go make a contract with them before they disappear" Romani said as he tries to scan where the grail has gone along with opening up all the info VEGA sent him on Deag Ranak.

"Ok, Gudao, take the girls. I will contact Silva once she rests a bit more." Ritsuka said.

"Alright! Come on Mashu." Gudao said and Mashu nodded, following him to the now masterless servants. Doomguy looked at Ritsuka with a concerned look but she responded by putting her hands on her hips. Right, he probably owes her this after hurting her feelings earlier. Well, Silva did prove useful to Chaldea, but he doesn't have to like it. It wouldn't be the first time that he had to tolerate people he didn't like as allies. That Saber in black armour was his enemy but now she's in Chaldea after getting summoned by Ritsuka.

He praised the fact that he seems to be the only one that can resist command seals so far and it also helps that the two master's kindness seems to win everyone over.

Seriously, who in the right mind would do anything to make them sad?

Doomguy sighs and nods at her as Fou jumps on Ritsuka's head.

"Thanks, Doomguy. I won't let you down." She said with a warm smile.

"Fou, Fouuuuu!" Fou added his own words of wisdom to that statement. As the night comes the seas become quiet as they continue their search for the holy grail. They push forward as they now know that Euryale is still being hunted by an unknown force. It will only be a matter of time before they show up to try and take Euryale again.

"Man, this Deag Ranak guy is something alright…" Romani said as he sipped coffee back at base.

"Sad that for how smart he is, he became corrupted by hell. Such disgustingness for a genius to use their knowledge in such a disgusting way." Da-Vinci said as she was with him in the control room for a shift.

"Deag Ranak took interest in the technological advances that Argent energy can provide. He ran the Cultist forces on my Earth from the arctic regions until his supposed demise by The Slayer's hands." VEGA said as he was providing data to Chaldea. The AI provide the footage of The Slayer decapitating Ranak after he pitifully tried to make a deal with him.

"Cyber-Necromancy. Seriously, that sounds like it's straight out of a comic book. Then again, mages on our earth aren't the most ethical people either." Romani said truthfully as he read the codex files on him.

"...Yes, I read the data on the Mage's Association and how they have to eliminate rogue mages from causing too much damage. There is also the Church that they are at odds with as well." VEGA recalled the information he learned about this world and the secrets they keep out of prying eyes.

"Mind if I ask what is the end goal for the Mages of this world?" VEGA asked. Romani was hesitant but then Da-Vinci gave him a nod as there was no point in hiding it if the AI is going to find out on his own eventually.

"It varies mage to mage but the end goal is to reach something known as 'The Root' The source of true magic and only few have ever reached it." Romani said as he can't speak for all mages but that was pretty much the end goal of people in the Clocktower.

"I understand. I was wondering as it was referenced in the data on the original Holy Grail wars."

"Yep, The Einsberns were trying to create the Holy Grail as a gateway to reach the root using servants as sacrifices. However, that was discontinued a long time ago and the system was dismantled." Da-Vinci said as she sipped her coffee.

"...sounds like your world is just as power-hungry as the ones I've seen fall to hell." The Wretch interrupted as he was listening in the conversation much to Romani's dismay as he nearly spits out his coffee.

"How did you access this channel?" Romani asked.

"I asked VEGA after offering better communication encryption codes for you since Deag Ranak is back then he's already trying to listen in on you guys. I am keeping you guys ahead of the game." The Wretch said confidently while the doctor pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Ok well I appreciate the help. So what do you want?" Romani asked.

"Since you guys are on an ass kicking spree and are most likely gonna win. I have to ask what happens after everything is fine and dandy again?" The Wretch asked honestly interested in the Chaldea security force.

"We'd immediately contact the UN and the Mage's Association to give reports on our mission success and…" Romani was then interrupted.

" Report them about the hell invasion? Nu-uh. Bad Idea. Your world is lucky that it's already in Ruin so that hell can't get anything out of it. Afterwards though? Your world barely stands a chance." The acting Director was stunned at the Wretches' words. Sure some mages become corrupted but that's why laws are in place and worse cases, the counter-force comes into play.

"Sure, your world has one heck of ability to keep Hell out. But nothing is safe from those bastards once they get even a single Cult anchored into a world for the taking." The Wretch expressed from experience while Romani and Da-Vinci had trouble accepting the harsh truth that their world is at risk even if the Counter-Force is restored to full strength.

"I am afraid The Wretch is right…The world where I am from. They had technology about a Century and a half ahead of you and the losses still exceed sixty percent of the world's population." VEGA confirmed.

"Then…We lie to the UN and The Association?" Romani said, very unsure of that action.

"I will assist in that matter, I can provide adjusted documentation once we reach that point in our journey. That is well within my capabilities and we had a huge alibi advantage due to Chaldea being attacked in the first place." VEGA assured that he has already made plans to keep Hell a secret from this world. Without a doubt, The Slayer would approve of this action to protect Ritsuka and her friends.

"That's a relief. Thank you VEGA…And I guess you too, Wretch" Romani said leaning back in his chair.

"Hey, It's in my best interest to keep you guys alive…And I like having friendly faces to talk to for once." The Wretch then disconnects and Da-Vinci leaves as the next shift come in.

"Ah, Mr Betruger. Well, I guess it's back to studying those grails for me!" Da-Vinci said as she left.

AN: Alas, Blackbeard is no more. I doubt anyone will miss him, not even his two subordinates that betrayed him. I personally feel that Mary and Anne deserve better than dealing with Teach all the time so that's why I spared them from Doomguy's wrath. Now it's time for some of the REAL bad guys to show up and cause some trouble.

With The Dark Lord still inside his red volleyball, I felt I needed to give another voice to the demons. Ranak seemed the most practical because of him hosting Horde Mode in Doom Eternal. How did he live? Well, He is a smart guy! I'm sure it will be revealed later. Probably after our boi, The Wretch roasts him some more.

Okeanos should be coming to a close after a chapter or two. Then It's probably another event chapter...I am still trying to pick one.
