I do not own Harry Potter, only the OC

Hello guys Badger here. A new chapter for Osiris rising. Thought I'd update a story people seem to love, before posting a string of first chapters for new stories. This chapter I actually enjoyed writing, though I may have flown off the handle a bit during the end but who knows, I'll leave that for you to decide.

That's all for now. Read on and I'll see you at the end.

Chapter 4

Quirrell was in his classroom, pacing back and forth, as he thought and thought. His master had demanded Quirrell to take out Potter, however he could, which is why he tried jinxing Potters broom during the boys first flying lesson. However his jinx somehow missed and ended up hitting Longbottoms broom instead, who was practically unscathed save for a broken wrist. His master was less then happy with Quirrell and punished him. The subtle twitch in his body evident that he hadn't completely healed yet. Quirrell swore that he hit Potters broom. Is aim was perfect. Unless Potters broom had some kind of protective charm which caused the jinx to ricochet, Quirrell had how it could have failed. Quirrell was also sure that Potter looked in his direction at one point, so he ran out of there, as soon as possible. After his failure, his master told him to forget about Potter for the time being and work on getting the Philosphers Stone. A few suspected Dumbledore was starting to go senile in his old age and Quirrell, as well as his master, thought they were right. How Dumbledore could ever think that placing a Stone capable of granting riches and immortality inside a school of children would be a good idea, he'd never know. Quirrells master believed that Dumbledore had his suspicions of Quirrell, but wasn't worried at the moment. All his master wanted was the Stone. Unicorn blood can only sustain someone for so long. As soon as his master had a new body, it was only a matter of time until Dumbledores and Potters bodies were carried out of the castle.

Harry sneezed, as he sat with James in their dorm, before classes started.

"Bless you" James said

"Thanks" Harry replied "felt the sudden urge to kill someone then"

"Well if you do, don't kill anyone without me" James smirked "I want to join in on the fun"

"Don't worry my friend, they'll be plenty for you to play with" Harry said "speaking of fun, what did you do to our friend Mr Higgs?"

"What makes you think I did anything?" James asked innocently, but sighed at the look Harry gave him "don't worry, any scars he may have are on his body and won't be visible under his robes and they'll disappear soon anyway and…I may have removed some toes, but I told him, he can have them back tonight…if he doesn't do something to annoy either of us"

"I'm surprised you stopped at that, I expected a lot worse" Harry replied "still, mother will be proud when she hears about it"

"She's your mother not mine" James pointed out

"She's not my birth mother" Harry reminded "but like me, she sees you as one of her own"

"Who would think, that someone like her would be capable of maternal affection" James smirked

"I think she's surprised herself, at times" Harry responded, before changing the subject "now, I hope that our Slytherin friends have learned their lesson this time"

"Does this mean you want me to start scouting the other Houses?" James asked

"Yes" Harry nodded "start with Hufflepuff, the hat said they'd be the most loyal, I'm sure with your charisma you'll be able to weasel your way through the Houses and find suitable followers"

"If Aila was here, she'd sort her way through them in no time at all" James said fondly, a sad look on his face

Harry gave his friend a small, sympathetic pat on the shoulder. Harry was too young to properly remember his birth parents, when they died so he couldn't imagine what James must have gone through. Harry knew that James blamed himself for his sisters death. In fact, Aila's death caused James to go mad and insane, causing him to delve more into the darker side of the Badger Family until the boy he once was, was now a small flame, that was more or less snuffed out. Mother had found James shortly after and had helped him delve deeper into the rabbit hole of his insanity. After checking the time, the two quickly rushed out of the dorm, when they saw that they only had ten minutes to get to their first lesson.

Dumbledore leant back in his chair, thinking, as he tapped his fingers against his desk in a slow, smooth rhythm. His thoughts were all linked to Harry, the Orphanage and the disappearance of the Dursleys. It was starting to give him a headache. The Dursleys needed to be found, so he can find out everything that had happened and hopefully, get them to take Harry into their home. Wherever that home is. The Headmaster had scanned and then double scanned the nearby towns and villages surrounding Privet Drive, but nothing was coming up, confirming that they must have ran far away. Dumbledore knew that the Dursleys didn't leave Britain, as Dumbledore recalled a time when Lily was talking to James Potter about how the Dursleys never went on holiday outside of Britain that often, if at all, because they hated foreigners. So they had to be hiding in Britain. But where?

Quirrell watched as the students filed out of his classroom after the lesson was over. He was glad that they were now gone. They were starting to give him a headache. He hoped he wouldn't have to put up with this act for much longer. Quirrell bit back a sneer, when he watched Harry Potter leave his classroom. He was tempted to have Harry stay behind for a moment for a private word, where he would then quickly dispose of him, but his master shot that down faster then a Killing Curse, reminding him that Potter would have to wait, until they can get their hands on the Stone. Whilst Quirrell didn't like that, he chose to listen to his master. He didn't want to disappoint him again. He had just stopped twitching from his masters previous disappointment. Thankfully, Quirrell had an idea to get the Stone whilst the others were distracted, the problem is, Dumbledore seemed to be keeping a close eye on him and even Snape was starting to get suspicious, as Snape wasn't one of the ones who knew Quirrell was a supporter to the Dark Lord. His master was uncertain on Snapes loyalty so ordered Quirrell to not say anything to him, until Snapes loyalty was confirmed.

Harry had to stop himself from laughing as he left the Defence Classroom. He took out a coin from his pocket and started flicking it up and down in the air, smiling as we walked. Harry knew Quirrell was one of Voldemorts supporters. His mother had informed him, having also known. Quirrells allegiance was kept hidden from most of the Dark Lords forces, having Quirrell act as a spy. He remembered asking his mother the reasoning for it being kept a secret and she told him it was to limit the possibility of him being ratted out and captured by the light. Seems the Dark Lord was smart after all. But not smart enough. Harry didn't know how powerful Quirrell was magically, but the man was a horrible actor. That stutter may have fooled most, but it wasn't fooling him. No doubt, Quirrell was scheming. As a schemer himself, Harry could see the calculating and thoughtful looks on Quirrells face when the students were working. He was up to something. He needed to find out what.

The next few days passed, with relative ease. Harry sat in the Slytherin Common Room, twirling a coin through his fingers, as he spoke quietly with James, whilst Arianna, Blaise and Pansy did their homework beside them. Harry planned on telling the three of his plans. As of now, he had no reason to distrust them so believed they deserved to know.

"So, tell me, found anything interesting?" Harry asked

James had spent the last few days going from House to House, scouting out and seeing which students he believed would be a worthy choice to add into their cause.

"Well, there are a few" James replied "In our year, there is a boy in Ravenclaw called Michael Corner, a Halfblood if I remember rightly, from what I discovered he doesn't have a brilliant life at home, his parents keep belittling him, believing he is good for nothing and he will do anything to prove them wrong, something I think we can take advantage of"

"I admit I'm intrigued" Harry said, letting the coin spin on its own, on a nearby desk "If you believe he's a worthy choice, I shall introduce myself to him, who else do you have for me?"

"Well, Hufflepuff is a tricky one, I need more time to look through them" James replied "but there are a few in Gryffindor, one is a first year Muggleborn called Hermione Granger, I'm sure you've noticed her, from the looks of things she wants to prove herself in this world, then there are some red headed twins called Fred and George Weasley, black sheep of them family from what I gathered, they love to prank and invent things to do those pranks, they want to run a joke shop but their mother wants them to join the Ministry, due to their mothers overbearing behaviour they distance themselves from them…again, I believe we can take advantage of their situations and the as for the Twins…imagine what devices they could create if they joined our cause"

"Definitely interesting, the Twins may be difficult, considering their family is incredibly loyal to Dumbledore, but if I push the right buttons it should work" Harry said "as for Hermione Granger, I certainly have noticed her, I think everyone has…I will admit I have thought about including her into our cause…it will certainly help with what I want to accomplish…is that all?"

"For now" James nodded "but there are two students we should be weary of, the first being Susan Bones, who's aunt is…"

"Head of the DMLE" Harry finished "yes, that would be wise, who is the other?"

"Neville Longbottom" James said "while I don't believe he is a threat, it's probably best to avoid him considering…you know…"

"Yes" Harry sighed "you're right about that…a shame really, he could become a useful ally but you are right…best to avoid him considering certain situations"

"P-Potter…" A timid voice spoke

Harry and James looked to see Draco Malfoy standing in front of them, with the rest of Slytherin House either standing behind him, or standing far back, looking a little bit fearful. Blaise, Arianna and Pansy looked up and gave Harry worried looks. They weren't sure what was going on, but if a fight was going to break out, there is no way Harry could fight off an entire House. Harry, meanwhile, seemed unfazed. He raised an eyebrow, as he grabbed his still spinning coin, and stood up, so the other students weren't looking down at him.

"What do I owe the pleasure Draco?" Harry said, looking at the rest of the students "did you bring more backup to try and 'put me in my place' once more…there is a fine line between being brave and foolish"

"We're not here to fight you" Draco said, fidgeting a bit "we're…we're here to…join you"

"Join me?" Harry repeated, amused

"Yes, you said that changes are going to be made, so that Slytherin becomes the noble house it once was" Draco replied "we aren't sure what those changes are but…we are here to help with whatever those changes may be"

Harry leant back in his seat, pretending to think. After a few seconds of silence, He smiled and looked at Draco, a serious look on his face.

"Alright then" Harry replied "If I'm going to have an inner circle, I'll need an outer circle"

"Inner circle?" Blaise asked

"Explain in a moment" Harry replied

Draco smiled. He may not have been that bright or sharp but he wasn't completely stupid. Harry may be a Halfblood but he is the heir to the Ancient and Noble House of Potter. A House that had a lot of power magically, influentially and politically. Power Draco could benefit from, if he kept himself on Harry's good side.

"That's excellent" Draco said "I'm sure you'll need a right hand to help you, I'm more then willing to…"

Draco stopped when Harry held his hand up, telling him to stop.

"Why should you be my right hand Draco" Harry said smoothly "I hardly know you, I don't know what I can gain from having you as a right hand and besides, James here is currently my right hand"

"Him?" Draco asked, causing James to smile and wave at him

"Yes, him" Harry smirked "you see, I have known James for a few years now and I can safely say, I have no questions as to where his loyalty lies and I can trust him to watch my back…similar things can be said for Blaise, Pansy and your sister Arianna, I haven't known them for long, but as of now, I have no questions or doubts as to their loyalty and friendship…compare that to you Draco who, only a few days ago tried to attack me…all of you standing before me, you will all need to prove your loyalty, before I trust you completely…that is all I will say for now, though I am glad to see you are all willing to change for the better, I will tell you what these changes are soon enough…Blaise, Pansy, Arianna, kindly follow me, I have some explaining to do"

The trio in question looked at Harry, slightly confused, before following after him. James stayed where he was for a moment, to give Terrence Higgs a small bag that contained his toes that were removed as well as a jar of balm that will connect them back onto his body, before following Harry into their dorm, where their friends stood.

"Harry, what did you mean by inner circle?" Pansy asked

"I'll tell you" Harry replied "but first, a question for you…what kind of reputation does Slytherin House have?"

"Honestly, not great" Blaise sighed "As You-Know-Who and a lot of his Death Eaters came from Slytherin, many believe it's where all the children from dark families go to"

"It's always been bad though" Arianna pointed out "If you read any book about the history of Hogwarts, you'll know that Slytherin hasn't been that respected and in turn, the House hasn't been respectful to the other Houses, it's full of many Pureblood supremacists that everyone thinks every student in Slytherin is one…even if their not a Pureblood"

"And that's where the problem begins" Harry replied "Slytherin was never like this, back when the castle was first founded, Slytherin House was one of, if not the most respected House out of the four…it was noble and full of not only the cunning, but also hard workers and the ambitious… however, as the years went one, it's nobility began to strain and crumble, as more and more Dark Lords and Pureblood supremacists rose, where it has no become the disappointment it is now…Salazar himself will be most displeased"

"So, what has this got to do with us and an inner circle?" Pansy asked

"Because I plan, over the seven years I'm studying here, to return Slytherin House back to its noble roots" Harry replied "but it doesn't stop there…I also have plans for the Muggle world as well"

"What…what kind of plans?" Blaise asked

"Plans for everyone, Muggles, wizards, goblins, werewolves, vampires, to live in peace with one another" Harry said "the Statute of Secrecy has been around since 1689, officially signed in 1692, for reasons I won't explain at the moment…I hope that, someday, that Statute of Secrecy will no longer be necessary, and everyone can live in peace side by side…"

"With you as it's ruler" James added, as he leant on the wall

"Obviously" Harry replied, turning back to the trio "which is why I need an inner, and outer circle…with dreams and ambitions like this, I can't do it on my own…I need people I can trust to stand by me and help in any way they can…which is where you three come in…as of now I trust you three completely and I want you to be the first members of my inner circle, what do you say?"

"I don't know" Blaise said, scratching the back of his neck "the Magical World and Muggle World knowing of each other's existence and living in peace, with you as it's ruler…it's a little overwhelming…and not everyone will be happy…what will we do with those that refuse to change and try to…over throw you?

"They will be forced to change or they become an enemy" Harry replied

"With comments like that, people may think you're evil" Pansy pointed out "or, at least dark"

"There is no light and dark, only intent" James spoke up, reciting his families motto and code of honour

"Yes, thank you" Harry said, giving James a look "I admit, I may be more dark than I am light…my actions may seem evil…but I am not doing this for selfish gains, or for my own benefit…I am doing this for everyone and for a better future…so…are you in?"

"You know what…I'm in" Arianna spoke up, after a few moments of silence "the Magical World has been hiding for too long…I think it's time both sides of the world start living in peace"

"Well, if she's in, then so am I" Pansy replied "having Slytherin return to its routes, and no longer hide away from the rest of the world will be the best thing to happen in Magical history"

"I don't want to be left behind, so count me in" Blaise said "I'm not good with words but, whatever you need, I'll be there to help"

Harry smiled. He was happy that his judgment was correct regarding these three. Mother will be happy to know that she'll have three additional people to train when their second year starts. Now Harry just needs to work on the rest of Slytherin. Hopefully by the end of the year, he'll know which students he can trust. Once that is done, and training begins, only then will he start his plans for a better future.

And done. Yeah, definitely flew off the handle a bit during the end. Blame it on my mind that goes through these weird periods of crazy, happy or depressed and lonely.

Anyway, something I should probably clarify. You're probably reading this thinking that, Harry doesn't seem that evil so far. Well, I said this was a dark Harry fanfic, but I never said it was an evil Harry fanfic. He may do evil things, but he's not completely evil. He has his plans and will stop people like Voldemort and Dumbledore from trying to see those plans crumble. Now I have a question for you all: which character would you like to see join Harry's cause and crusade and why? Leave your answers in the review section.

Now, I have three new stories coming up, which I think you'll enjoy. One is a sequel to A different Hogwarts experience, one is an AU which I need to name and the third is a fan request. Remember, if you have a story request PM me and if I like it, I'll write it.

That is all for now, I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you next time.
