I do not own Harry Potter, only the OC.
Hello guys, Badger here. I'm sorry it's been a while, since I updated any of my stories. The past week has been quite hectic and I recently moved into my Uni Accommodation. My course lessons start soon and, as of now, I don't know how this will affect my updates, so I may not be able to update as frequently. But I have a new chapter for you all today, so that's something. I should warn you, I was really exhausted writing the final paragraphs of this chapter, so I apologise if the ending seems rushed.
Also, I've moved on from Youtube and gone onto TikTok. The videos look much better there. There are Harry Potter edits, as well as other edits from other franchises. If you're interested, check out thatbadger_2003
Anyway, after that shameless plug, read on, enjoy and I will see you at the end.
Chapter 5
Harry sat with his friends in Charms Class, listening as Flitwick explained the spell they will be learning in his class. The levitation charm. It had been a couple of days since his friends declared their loyalty to, what will become, his new Order. He didn't have a name yet, but he'll think of that when the time comes. Once Dumbledore catches wind of what Harry plans, it's possible the old man will twist a few of the details and declare Harry a Dark Lord. And Harry hopes the fool finds out. Could it lead to war? Probably. Did he care? No. Either way, he was going to change the world for the better, with him sitting on the throne as its ruler. He had so many plans, he was getting a headache. No doubt Harry was also going to have to kill some idiots, mainly Dumbledore and whoever supports and follows the old man. The kind of followers who will follow the fool blindly, as they believe he can do no wrong. They were kind of pathetic if Harry was being honest.
Another reason for his headache, was the Slytherins. Since they tried declaring loyalty to him, Harry would watch them more carefully and he was disappointed. They were extremely hostile and racist to those whose blood wasn't 'pure'. Harry couldn't help but snort, as he remembered James saying that Harry could use a knife and press it against his arm to draw blood and that blood will be more pure then theirs. And Harry wasn't a Pureblood. If the other Slytherins wanted to be part of his new Order, they were going to have to change and fast. Shaking his head, at the thought, Harry turned back to Flitwick, who finished explaining the spell for the lesson.
"Now, you need to remember the wand movement" He said, in his squeaky voice "You just need to swish and flick…you each have a feather in front of you and points will be awarded to those who can make their feather fly…just swish and flick…and remember, the incantation is 'Wingardium Leviosa', you may begin"
All across the room, students had pulled out their wands and tried getting the spell to work. Some barely managed to make their feathers float a few inches off their desk, before it fell again, whilst others merely glowed, but nothing else. After a moment though, people started to look up, as two feathers on either side of the room floated to the ceiling. The people behind the wands that caused those feathers to float, was Harry and Hermione.
"Oh well done!" Flitwick exclaimed, cheerfully "Mr Potter, Miss Granger take 15 points to Slytherin and Gryffindor!"
Harry gave the man a small nod, with a smile on his face. He could see the look on Hermione's face from across the room. She had a mix of surprise and jealousy in her eyes. Harry had been thinking over the last few days, on when and if, he should approach the girl. She would definitely be a worthy addition to the Order. Also, in time, Harry would have no questions towards her loyalty, as her Muggleborn status will want her to prove herself to those that look down on her, whether that be through power, torture, or murder. Harry didn't really care which. He just needed to find the right moment to talk to her.
…
After the lesson, Harry and his friends were making their way to their next lesson, with Draco and a few other Slytherins following behind them. Near them, was Ron Weasley walking with a couple of other boys, one of which had ash on his skin after blowing up his feather. Ron was talking quite loudly and it didn't take a genius to know who she was talking about.
"Did you hear what Granger said?" He asked "It's LeviOsa not LeviosA, honestly that girl is mental and a nightmare…it's understandable why she has no friends"
"Does he know that she might hear him?" Arianna asked
"With how loudly he's speaking, I think students in Durmstrang heard him…and I don't think he cares" James rolled his eyes
Harry was about to speak, when he felt some trip over him. He caught them before they could fall to the ground. The bushy hair told him that it was Hermione and, judging from how red and watery her eyes were, she clearly heard Weasley talking about her.
"Are you okay Miss Granger?" Harry asked, helping her stand back on her feet
"I…I…" Hermione stuttered "I'm fine…I…excuse me…"
Hermione quickly pushed his hands off of her and quickly rushed off, clutching her books to her chest, as she tried desperately not to cry.
"Why did you help her?" Draco asked, looking angry
"Yeah, that girl was a Mudblood" Nott spoke up "You should have let her fall…Mudbloods and muggle scum aren't even worthy of licking our boots"
"Quiet!" Harry snapped, his tone instantly causing them to stop "I suggest you stop now…there are things you don't understand and your beliefs aren't helping!"
Draco and Nott swallowed nervously, stopping for a moment, as Harry and his friends walked off, whilst James stared at them, the look on his face reminding them of a wild animal that is about to pounce on its prey. It was clear he wanted to hurt them. Badly.
…
"Potter" One of the prefects snarled "I was told that you helped a Mudblood…that is unacceptable, you should have…"
The Prefect was cut off, as he fell to his knees, choking, as a faint black cloud covered his neck. Everyone looked to Harry, who was standing completely still, wand in hand. His face was emotionless, but there was a cold fury in his eyes. After a few seconds, Harry released the Prefect, who gasped for breath, as he fell to the ground.
"Every time you open your mouth, I have to will away a headache" Harry said, voice calm, but the other students could feel the danger in his tone, as the room started to shake "What you need to remember is that I am in charge…You may think that Muggles and what you call 'Muggleborns' aren't worthy of your time and magic, but you are wrong…do any of you know why the Magical World is hiding from the Muggle World?"
Harry looked across the room where everyone, besides James, looked to the other students, hoping they knew the answer, but everyone they looked too, shook their heads and looked just as confused as they were.
"I thought not…" Harry rolled his eyes "A significant, and one of the most important events of Magical History and yet, none of you know about it…makes me wonder if someone, over the years, has hidden the information from the public, so I will tell you…Wizards and Witches lived amongst Muggles peacefully for hundreds of years, until the late 1600's…Muggles were getting paranoid and afraid, believing that we were the reason behind plagues, famine and disease and so hunted us down, had us burnt at the stake, drowned us and other gruesome torture…after many deaths, the Muggles that believed our world to be peaceful made a treaty with the Magical World, what is known as the Statute of Secrecy and our world went into hiding…over time, the Muggle World forgot about our existence and here we are, 300 years later and still hiding from the Muggle World…so tell me, with this information, do you believe yourselves to be better than the Muggles?"
Across the Common Room, Harry could see the other Slytherins lower their heads, unable to think of a response. Blaise, Pansy and Arianna looked shocked at the information he gave.
"Now, you will listen…and listen carefully" Harry said, pacing back and forth "You lot are going to change…whilst I'm in Hogwarts, I want to see Slytherin become the Noble House it once was…Slytherin will become the best House and make students want to come here and we will strike from the shadows…you will, and I mean WILL, change your ways, you will no longer call Muggleborns, Mudbloods…you will treat everyone equally, for when I leave Hogwarts, I plan for everyone, Purebloods, Halfbloods, Muggleborns, Vampires, Werewolves and other Magical Beasts, and ruin anyone who tries to stop us…in time, if you gain my trust, you may earn a place in my Inner Circle, am I understood?"
There were nods across the Common Room, though it was clear some of them didn't like it. Harry would have James watch them carefully, but he was sure they will learn over time. For now, he was going to write a letter to Mother, and inform her of recent developments.
…
Quirrell smirked to himself, as he wrung his hands together. He had an idea for a distraction so he can get the Philosophers Stone. He had managed to smuggle a troll inside the castle. All he needed to do was release it from where it was hiding. Dinner was going to happen soon, that would be a brilliant time for a distraction. His Master will be pleased.
…
"So Harry" Blaise spoke up, at dinner "do you think the others will actually change…I mean…many of them are children of Voldemort's most loyal Death Eaters, and they have been practically spoon fed all these Pureblood ideologies for their entire lives"
"I'm certain they will…in time" Harry replied "Then again, if they don't change willingly, I'll just set James on them"
"I found a few spells I want to learn" James smirked "And I don't know what some of them do"
"Just make sure you don't leave any visible scars" Harry commented
James smiled and was about to respond when Quirrell burst into the Great Hall, running extremely quickly, looking quite panicked.
"TROLL, IN THE DUNGEON!" He yelled "TROLL IN THE DUNGEON….I thought you should know…"
Harry rolled his eyes, at the mans dramatics. Unfortunately the other students didn't share the same sentiments, as they began screaming, with many trampling over one another, to get out of the Great Hall.
"SILENCE!" Dumbledore yelled, causing the students to stop "Now…Prefects, you shall escort the students to their Common Rooms, except for the Slytherins I suggest going to the library, whilst myself and the other Professors head to the dungeons"
Harry found the whole situation pathetic, as he walked in between James and Pansy, as the Prefects lead them to the library. However, as they passed the Gryffindors, Harry overheard a student talking to their friend.
"I hope Hermione Granger went back to the Common Room" They said "Last I heard, she was crying in the girls bathroom, because of what Ron Weasley said to her"
Harry's eyes narrowed, as he thought. If she was still in the bathroom, then he could use that to help him. James noticed the look on Harry's face and raised an eyebrow at him. Harry gave him a look which James knew, as he nodded, and starting walking in front of Harry, so he could slip away from the crowd. As the Slytherins turned right to head to the Library, Harry continuing moving straight, to where the girls bathroom was. He soon found a large shadow on the wall and watched as the troll appeared and headed into the girls bathroom. Harry immediatley ran towards the bathroom, upon hearing Hermione's screams.
…
Hermione had tears down her cheeks, as she cowered in the corner. After spending the last few hours, crying from the insults from that boy. Ron, she believed his name was. Once she left her stall, she found a large troll waiting for her. It immediatley growled at her and tried to crush her, with its large wooden club. Hermione moved out of the way and tried to run out the bathroom, but the troll blocked her path and had her backed into a corner. When the troll raised its club, she closed her eyes, no wanting to see it crash down upon her. When a few seconds past, and nothing happened, she opened her eyes, to see the troll looking up, its club levitating in the air. The club then fell, hitting the troll, hard, on the head. The troll swayed, before it fell forward. Hermione quickly got out of the way, as the troll fell, its neck breaking, as it landed against the wall. Hermione shook slightly, as she looked at the sight, where she heard a voice behind her.
"Hermione, are you okay?"
The girl turned, to see Harry Potter standing behind her. Overwhelmed with everything that had happened, and thinking about how close to death she was, she hugged him, practically throwing herself on him, as she cried. Harry said nothing, letting her cry, the smallest hint of discomfort on his face. One thing he hasn't experienced yet is crying girls.
"Oh my goodness!" Another voice exclaimed "What's going on here?"
Harry and Hermione turned to see Dumbledore, McGonagall and Snape standing behind them. Each one looking shocked at the body of the troll, with its neck broken.
"Explain yourselves, this instant!" McGonagall demanded
"Hermione didn't know of the troll professor" Harry replied, seeing as Hermione was too shook up to speak "She was crying in the toilet stall due to Ron Weasley insulting her, I overheard a student when we were leaving the Great Hall, that she was crying in the bathrooms, so I decided to come here and warn her, but the troll had left the dungeon and had come to the bathrooms, I used a levitation charm on its club, before it could hurt Hermione and knocked it out…then you arrived"
"Is this true Miss Granger?" Dumbledore asked, stroking his beard, earning a nod from Hermione, as she wiped her eyes
"I'll see that Mr Weasley is punished Miss Granger" McGonagall spoke up "And Mr Potter, whilst I would normally punish a student for disobeying instructions from a member of staff, your actions saved Miss Grangers life, so take 50 points for Slytherin…now you two should make your way back to your Common Rooms, whilst we clean up the mess"
Harry and Hermione nodded, before the two left the bathroom. Hermione walked beside Harry. She opened and closed her mouth a few times, thinking about something to say. This went on for a couple of minutes, before she spoke.
"T-Thank you" She said
"Your welcome Hermione" Harry smiled "I know how you are feeling and I know what you want…if you ever need someone to talk to, just come and find me"
With that said, Harry turned and made his way down a different corridor, heading towards the Slytherin Common Room, leaving behind a slightly confused Hermione.
…
Dumbledore sat at his desk, stroking his beard, as he thought. He expected Quirrell to cause a diversion, just not so soon. It was almost a fool proof plan. How Quirrell even managed to sneak a troll into the school needed to be investigated. However, Dumbledore was glad to see that Harry seemed to be on the path of the light. Saving Miss Granger was evidence of that. It won't be long until Harry becomes the hero the Wizarding World needs. As he thought, he placed a hand on the package under his desk. A package James Potter had asked for him to look after many years ago. Dumbledore had planned to give Harry the package as a Christmas present, but thought that it would benefit the boy more, if he received it earlier.
…
Harry was sat in the library. It was the day after the troll attack and he was reading through his private books, looking through the many ancient spells, when he heard someone sit at the table opposite him. He looked up to see Hermione sitting there, looking at him intently.
"Can I help you Hermione?" Harry asked
"What did you mean yesterday?" Hermione replied, leaning forward "You said you know how I feel and what I want…what did you mean?"
"I've been watching you Hermione" Harry replied, leaning back in his seat "And what I see, is a need to fit in, in this new strange world you've only just learnt about…as well, as a determination to prove yourself worthy of having magic, with an eagerness to learn…you and I are alike in a few ways…and I thought, we could help each other"
"Help each other?" Hermione repeated "How?"
"We both have goals" Harry said, leaning forward, placing his arms on the table "you have your own goals you want to achieve in the Wizarding World, and I want to make both the Magical and Muggle world a better place…I believe we can help one another…I can have myself, or James, teach you everything you need to know about the Wizarding World, whilst you teach myself, and other Purebloods everything about the Muggle World…that way, we can both get what we want…what do you say?"
Harry extended an open hand, where he could see the hesitation on Hermione's face. She was thinking about everything he had said where, after a moment, she shook his hand, not fully knowing what she was agreeing, and getting herself into.
…
And done. What did you guys think?
Again, I apologise that it has been a while. I actually had to take several breaks from writing this chapter due to exhaustion and no motivation, so I hope you can forgive me.
Anyway, I have had recent ideas, for possible pairings in this story. When it comes to Harry, I thought Pansy Parkinson would be a suitable choice for him, as she could be the Dark Lady sitting on a throne beside him, when he becomes Dark Lord. And I had an idea for James, who I was thinking about pairing him with Hermione. Hear me out, seeing as James, in this story, is an insane psycho, James could take Hermione as an apprentice, slowly twisting her into a cruel, insane psycho herself. Think the Joker and Harley Quinn. That is the inspiration behind James' and Hermione's pairing.
Let me know what you think of the pairing ideas and leave ideas of your own. That is all for now, and I'll see you next time.
