A/N: This story was written for part of my event Birthday Bonanza, an event celebrating birthdays after the miserable year that 2020 turned out to be. The ninth recipient of a story for Birthday Bonanza was Selenophile! I am so sorry that this is late. My life has been turned upside down lately.

This was also written for Melting Pot's Tropes & Fandoms event using the trope confessions.

The quiet hum of conversation buzzed around Central Perk as Phoebe plucked at the strings of her guitar. With a quick scan of the room, she could see everyone sitting around the coffee shop chatting with those around them. On the couch directly in front of her, Phoebe smiled as her eyes trailed over the smiling faces of her friends. Monica and Chandler were sitting on the sofa, and Joey was next to them on the chair. Rachel, who was supposed to be working, had joined the group to whine about her job, much to Gunther's dismay - even if he'd never call her out for it. The only person missing was Ross. It warmed her heart to have most of her friends here, waiting to hear her music.

"Are you almost ready?" Gunther asked, tapping Phoebe on the shoulder to pull her attention back to the moment in front of her.

"Almost," she replied, nodding her head. As she opened her mouth to respond, she heard the bell of the door chime. Turning her attention to the door, Phoebe noticed a familiar head of hair walking into Central Perk. "Oh no."

Phoebe set her guitar down and made her way over to the door. "Ursula," she said, crossing her arms over her chest as she stood in front of her identical twin sister and shook her head. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, it's you," Ursula replied, rolling her eyes. "I'm here to get a cup of coffee."

"And you just had to come here?" Phoebe asked, quickly glancing over her shoulder as she moved to stand directly in front of Ursula. The last person she needed to know that she was here was Joey. He still hadn't gotten over the way Ursula had broken his heart.

"Yeah?" Ursula replied, raising an eyebrow as she looked Phoebe up and down. "Why are you acting so weird?"

"I'm not acting weird," Phoebe replied, shaking her head as she tried to come up with a way to get Ursula out of here. "Why don't I go order your coffee, and you can go wait outside?"

"I can order my own coffee," Ursula huffed, pushing past Phoebe and made her way up to the counter.

Gunther cocked his head to the side as he looked at the woman standing in front of him up and down. "I thought you were getting ready to start your set."

Ursula rolled her eyes as she let out an exasperated sigh. "I'm Ursula. You're talking about Phoebe."

"Ursula?"

The voice sounded familiar as she turned on her heel to see who was speaking to her. Ursula's eyes went wide as she met Joey's eyes. "Joey, what are you doing here?"

"I was going to ask you the same question," he replied. "I can't help but feel we have some unfinished business."

"What kind of unfinished business?" Ursula said, looking him up and down.

"You made me choose between you and Phoebe," Joey said, shrugging his shoulders. "She's my best friend, but I felt myself falling in love with you and never got the chance to explore those feelings with you."

"I didn't make you choose between the two of us," Ursula said, shaking her head. "I told Phoebe I was over you and onto someone new."

Joey furrowed his brow and looked past Ursula to see Phoebe covering her face with her hands. After a moment of silence, he shook his head. "It wasn't you that came to the coffee shop and broke up with me, was it?"

"No," Ursula said, turning to look at Phoebe with a grin on her face. "It definitely wasn't me. It would appear you and my dear sister need to have a conversation."

Phoebe's eyes went wide, and she spun quickly on her heels and ran outside of the coffee shop. She needed some fresh air and a chance to catch her breath. This was not a conversation she was ready to have with Joey right now. She just needed to breathe.

"Are you okay?" Joey asked, placing a gentle hand on his back as he flashed a smile at her.

"I feel like an idiot," Phoebe replied, covering her face with her hands as she took a few deep breaths. "Ursula wasn't going to tell you that she was breaking up with you and had moved on. I didn't think that was fair."

"So you stepped in to let me down easy," Joey laughed, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. "That's why I love you, Pheebs."

She looked up at him with a smile on her face as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I love you too, Joey."
