So Father and daughter sat down at the counter of K's favorite diner and got pie. Katelynn got a slice of chocolate silk and K got apple pie which was the special that day. The two waited for their order, received it, and ate in silence.
After about ten minutes of this and after the pie was finished Katlynn asked, "Would you have spent time with me?" Seeing K raise his eyebrows she clarified, "If you had known about me earlier, would you have spent time with me?"
K pondered this question for a few minutes before responding, "I don't know Katelynn." She looked at him again, "My job has always been very dangerous, so I don't think I would have spent time with you when you were younger and risk making you a target."
The girl nodded and they lapsed into silence again. After a few minutes Katelynn asked, "What about now? Can we visit each other now that you know?"
