Zack trembled and he was sweating bullets.
Milo grabbed him by the hands. He looked him in the eyes. They were shaking, never able to stay still within the panic. Milo tightened his grip, making it firmer than before. He put his forehead against Zack's. He caressed his hands with his thumbs.
"Just keep your eyes on me, Zack."
He nodded but he still breathed heavily. Milo would have him take deep breaths, but they might not work as well as they usually would here. At least, they wouldn't work at first. He started humming something he remembered hearing a while back; he hoped it would help calm him down some. It happened to work as Zack started shaking less. Milo continued humming the song until all there was left was him slightly shaking.
Once he did that, he told him to take slow, deep breaths. Zack did just that without any problems. Milo had a smile show up on his face. He lightened up his grip on his hands; he tried to let them go, but Zack didn't let him. Zack held onto them even after he helped.
While the original intent disappeared, he was happy to hold them.
