Episode 9

"Jealous"

SCENE 1: DEGRASSI (GYMNASIUM). AFTERNOON

The Power Squad is rehearsing their routine. Members are doing tumbles and stunts. The girls all have smiles on their faces. Ivy is watching from the sidelines with a smile. The music stops playing and Ivy begins to applaud.

Ivy: That was amazing you guys!

Power Squad Member: That choreography is going to take us to the top.

Ivy: And we have me to thank for that.

Red enters the gym with a large box.

Girl: Your boyfriend here Ivy.

Ivy turns around to see Red approaching.

Ivy: Shut up. Practice over.

Ivy makes her way to Red.

Red: Here are the new uniforms.

Ivy and Red continue to talk as Shay watches the two from the distance. Lily approaches beside her.

Lily: I thought you were on the squad.

Shay: I sort of quit. Ivy was being a control freak and ignoring my hard work.

Lily: Maybe she needs to be knocked off her pedestal.

Lily turns to Shay. She gives her a look as if she had something planned. Shay looks back over to Ivy. She is filled with rage.

OPENING CREDITS

SCENE 2: MASON'S HOME (PORCH). NIGHT

Jack opens the door to see Decker standing there on the porch. Jack looks over his shoulder to see Emma and Spinner watching TV on the couch. Jack steps outside and quietly closes the door.

Jack: Hey.

Decker: I thought I should come to check on you. I know we talked a few nights ago, but I can't stop thinking about you.

Jack: We broke up Deck.

Decker: I know, but can you honestly say you don't still have feelings for me.

Jack: I…I

Decker steps forward. He looks into Jack's eyes. Jack has confliction. Decker leans forward and begins to kiss Jack.

Jack: If we do this then things are going to change.

Decker smiles as he wraps Jack into his arms.

Decker: I promise. You won't regret this.

Jack smiles.

SCENE 3: THE RAVINE. NIGHT

Brandon navigates his way through the ravine where teens are drinking and getting high. He spots Manny who is hanging out with a group of his friends. Manny notices Brandon and makes his way over to him.

Manny: I see you doing a lot better.

Brandon: Yeah, but I need your help. I need something stronger.

Manny looks around.

Manny: If you take anything stronger you might make things worst man.

Brandon: Can you help me or not?

Manny goes into his pocket.

Manny: This won't be cheap.

Brandon takes out some cash and hands it off to Manny.

SCENE 4: DEGRASSI (HALLWAYS). MORNING

Jack enters Degrassi holding Decker's hand. He notices Alicia and Jordan at the other end of the hall. He quickly let his hand go. Decker notices this and becomes upset. He tries calming himself down.

Decker: You wanted things to be different this time. That means you can't let your friends get in-between us again.

Jack: They're my best friends. I haven't told them yet.

Decker steps in front of Jack and grabs his hands. He looks into his eyes.

Decker: I'm your boyfriend and I love you. That's all that matters.

Decker leans in and kisses Jack.

Decker: I got to get to class.

Decker leaves. Jordan and Alicia approach.

Jack: I don't want to hear it okay.

Alicia: Are you back with Decker? After he put his hands on you.

Jordan: I'm with Alicia on this Jack. Decker is trouble. We just don't want you getting hurt.

Decker: I'm happy. Decker makes me happy. I thought you two would be happy for me.

Jack shakes his head and proceeds to make his exit.

SCENE 5: DEGRASSI CLASSROOM. AFTERNOON

Ivy walks out of the classroom where she notices Shay and Lily talking. Shay quickly approaches her.

Ivy: I didn't know you and Lily were friends.

Shay: Not really. I was wondering if you and Red were a couple. I was thinking about asking him out.

Ivy is surprised by Shay confession. Shay smiles then proceed to leave. Ivy opens her locker and is splattered with what looks like blood.

Lily: I guess it's that time of the month.

Everyone in the hall begins to laugh. Ivy looks around and becomes embarrassed. She runs into the bathroom with tears in her eyes. Shay smiles go away as guilt begins to take over.

SCENE 6: PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE. MORNING

Shay and Lily are waiting outside the principal office. We can see Ivy sitting in the office with her mother. Mrs. Armstrong appears to be furious as she speaks to Emma who is quietly taking it in. Mrs. Armstrong rises from her chair and makes her way out of the office with Ivy.

Ivy looks at both Shay and Lily as she leaves the office.

Emma: Lily.

Lily rises from her chair and enters the office. Emma closes the door. Minutes go by before Lily exit out of the office. Shay is nervous as Lily leaves. Emma stands at her office and gestures for Shay to enter.

Emma and Shay take a seat.

Emma: I'm very disappointed in the behavior you displayed yesterday.

Shay: I'm sorry Principal Nelson, but it wasn't my fault. It was Lily's idea.

Emma: Lily said otherwise. She said that you were upset that Ivy kicked you off the spirit squad. Also, she said you knew the combination to Ivy's locker.

Shay starts to break down as she was receiving the blame for the prank.

Shay: Yes I was upset about the Spirit Squad and yes, I knew the combination, but this wasn't my idea.

Emma: I'm sorry Shay, but based on the information I've been giving I have no chance. Until further notice, you will be placed on suspension. You can possibly be expelled if the decide to take matters to the authorities.

Shay's heart drops.

SCENE 7: DEGRASSI (GYMNASIUM). MORNING

Brandon is running basketball drills in the gym. He stops after feeling a sharp pain in his knee. He limps over to the bench. He goes into his duffle bag and pulls out a bottle of water. Brandon notices Xavier with the basketball team.

Brandon blood begins to boil seeing everything he ever wanted being taken from him. Brandon goes back into his bag and pulls out his bottle of pills. He rattles the bottle until three pills fall out. He quickly takes them then proceeds to drink from his water.

Brandon: You got this man.

He picks up his basketball and dribbles it as he goes back onto the court.

SCENE 8: THE DOT. AFTERNOON

Jack and Decker are sitting at a booth at the Dot. Further away Jordan, Nolan, and Alicia are seated together. Decker notices that Jack continues to look over at them.

Decker: You don't want to be here.

Jack: I do. I just hate arguing with my friends.

Decker: As long as we're together they will never be happy for you.

Jack: I just everyone to get along.

Decker takes a hold of Jack's hand.
