Restoration
—Don't let a single one get away!
With this command, Fox stood at the edge of a cliff, pointing his pistol at an enemy: Galeem, the lord of light, a shining and winged sphere. With an army of Master Hands, he wanted to create a new world, with everything and everyone under his control. The other Smashers were also gathered on the place, prepared to face him.
—Each of us need to defeat about ten of these hands—Marth calculated.
—Stow your fear—princess Zelda recommended, noticing that some, specially the children, were frightened by the sheer number of enemies to fight.
—We'll win this! I know we'll!—Pit said, optimistically. Then Shulk, who was ahead, had a vision: four dark beings cutting and crushing Galeem and another unknown being. Looked back, expectative, and saw something approaching: it was a black car, which arrived and parked, drawing the Smashers' attention. From it, came out the Sword Brothers: the Links, Peach, Zero and Arikado, who saw Galeem and the Master Hands.
—So it's from him one of the energies we felt—said the queen.
—It's powerful enough to reach other planets—remarked the vampire, referring to Galeem. "But what 'bout the other, whose is?", finished, in thought.
—What a coincidence—spoke Fierce and Shadow Queen, ironically, emerging from the bodies of their respective hosts.
—It's Galeem, the lord of light, or so he calls himself—the reploid said, after scanning the enemy. —A little dictator who wants to control everything.
Some Smashers, like Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Rosalina, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Simon, Richter and Megaman went to the swordsmen, but there was no time to talk: the fabric of the giant hands' glove ripped, revealing a bluish energy. The luminous being began to absorb and store it for an attack.
—What's he goin' to do?—asked the Inkling girl, fearful.
—This is it!—exclaimed Link, the hero of time. Then, a dark and very powerful energy covered his body and that of Peach, Zero and Arikado and they advanced, past the other fighters and stopped at the edge of the cliff. Fierce Link, Shadow Peach, Absolute Zero and "Alugargoyle" had taken the battlefront.
—Later we talk—said Link, Hyrule's champion, evasively, to the others who had approached them. —Let's watch.
Galeem finished charging the blow and shot countless rays of light, which arrived very quick where the warriors were. Equally fast, however, were the countless black arms that came out of the witch's body and held the shots. The god took advantage and flew very fast between the projectiles, reaching the winged enemy, who had no time to defend or react. Fierce cut him in four, once in the outward and another when turned. Came back to the edge of the cliff and watched, next to his brothers, Galeem become dust. The beams of light that Shadow Peach defended were gone. Behind, the Smashers were wide-eyed and dumbfounded. Then they smiled and were going to celebrate, but Arikado warned:
—It's not over yet.
The smiles of the others vanished instantly. Seconds later, a piece of the sky began to "crack", like glass, making some of the fighters gasp, others just watched, expectantly. It grew in size and, suddenly, broke, showing darkness and, then, a sphere with an evil slit-eyed eye, black and spiky tentacles and many Crazy Hands came out of it. These began to fly toward the audience, who prepared to counterattack, but Link, the wind hero, intervened:
—Fear not, they won't get here.
—Darkhom, the lord of darkness—reported Zero. —The other energy we felt is his.
—Since he loves the darkness so much, let's make him dwell there forever—the gargoyle sentenced. With the lord of light down, Darkhom began to spread darkness across the sky, in a show of dominance. Absolute Zero, however, switched his hands to the arm cannons and fired large ice bursts from each, without even needing to charge, freezing the enemy and his tentacles, the darkness he spread, preventing him from spreading more, and the hands, which fell in the sea. So cold were the shots that they easily exceeded -273°C, which caused a thin layer of ice to appear on the ground and on the clothes, skin or fur of some fighters who were behind and began to shiver, twitch and flap their teeth.
—H-h-how c-c-c-cold!
"Alugargoyle", then, flew to the offensive and, with one punch, shattered the lord of darkness, which fell to pieces in the ocean. The ice that held the darkness also began to fall, in pieces, in the water.
—Incredible!—exclaimed Simon.
—They got rid of both quick and easily!—commented Megaman, in astonishment.
—They're too strong!—Isabelle admitted. The gladiators approached their colleagues and the demon said:
—You can cheer now—and transformed back in vampire.
—Who were they?—questioned Mario.
—Galeem and Darkhom, respectively—Zero replied, returning to normal. —Two little dictators.
—We were training and felt two strong energies coming from here—Shadow Queen told, unfriendly, then "gave the body back" to Peach.
—So we came to see whose t'was—completed Fierce, and destituted the host.
—All is well now—said the Hyrule's champion Link. The hero of wind Link opened the car door on the driver's side and got in, followed by his brothers.
—Hey, where are you going?—wanted to know the red plumber.
—We have an appointment in a few hours, we need to go—replied the queen, before getting in. —See you later!—farewelled. The Links, Zero and Arikado waved goodbye and the monarch sat down, closed the door and the vehicle departed.
