"And, that is my girlfriend," Anthony whispered to him, awestruck. James looked around to see a woman descending the grand staircase.
A woman with dark red hair and emerald green eyes.
A woman who broke his heart three years ago
A woman whose name is, Lily Evans.

James swivelled his head away from Lily as fast as he could, before she could spot him. Some might say he was being cowardly, but James didn't think that, after all, who would want to meet their ex-girlfriend who broke their heart for a reason they don't even remember? Definitely not him. Even if he did meet her for the sake of Anthony, who is blissfully unaware of the fact that the person he is dating was James girlfriend. What would he say? He was pretty sure if he met her he would just make a fool of himself, saying just the wrong things. Hell, she would be thanking the past Lily for breaking up with him after seeing him make a fool of himself.
"James," Anthony said, breaking James from his reverie, "if you'll excuse me, I've got to meet Lily…my girlfriend, right now."
Before James could say 'that's fine' Anthony took off towards Lily. James stole another sly glance at her and almost stopped breathing. She was looking…beautiful. She was wearing a strapless crimson red velvet dress with a plunging V-neck, that showed ample amount of cleavage. The dress also had a slit running from her thigh. She had her hair up in a elaborate updo. She was wearing crimson red lipstick, making it match her dress. The whole effect of the look made her look like a fucking goddess or something.
James quickly averted his eyes from her, though. The last thing he needed was for her to see him staring at her like a fucking creep. What he did need though was to get out of this place. Anthony be damned. He could make an excuse for himself later. He just need to get out.
James looked around, no one was watching him. He quickly but smoothly tiptoed out of the room.

James stood in a lovely garden, but the thing was he didn't find it quite as lovely as anyone else would because right now, it was proving to be a thorn in his mission to escape this party as the garden was a fucking maze. Whenever James made a turn he was met with another turn or a dead end.
Right now, he was sitting under a tree of some sort. James took a took some time to process what happened today.
He got an invitation to Anthony's party.
He met Anthony.
He sort of met his girlfriend, who was Lily Evans. The same woman who broke up with him three years ago.
James thought once he got time to relax and think this…situation through, he might be angry at Anthony, after all he was dating Lily. But surprisingly he…wasn't. He didn't know James and Lily dated, hell, he even didn't know James fancied the shit out of her during his 5th year. So, it would be pretty petty of him to hold it over Antho—
"Who's there?" a voice called, a very familiar one. Lily's voice. "Is someone there?"
Before James can do anything, anything, to hide from her, she was standing in from of him. Once she spotted him, her mouth hung open. Surprise and some other emotion James couldn't identify etched all over her face.

First of all, I'm so sorry for how fucking short this chapter was but I just wanted to get this out as I felt bad for leaving the last one at a cliff-hander kinda thing? But then again this chapter also ends with a cliff-hanger kinda thing so…yeah don't be mad at me!
Anyway you might be kinda surprised to see another chapter being upload so quick, well, I am too. I really though it'll take me a month or so before I upload ch-3 but alas! I am stuck at an airport rn because my flight is delayed so as I didn't had anything better to do than eat pringles and drink coke I thought 'why don't I write the next chapter of my fic?' So here I am! With my MacBook on my lap typing like a maniac about fictional characters at the airport,but—oh god I'm rambling now so I'm going to stop that rn lol
