Teaching skills and spells

The Links, Peach, Zero and Arikado were in Hyrule, followed by Princess Zelda, climbing the trail that led to Death Mountain's top. After destroying mavericks in Abel City, the hero of time had decided to teach some skills he had developed and magic to his brothers. But Champion and Zero had no magic energy, so Time decided to take them to see the Great Fairy who lived on the summit so that she could grant the energy to them and cast spells. As they reached the top, Wind looked down at Hyrule in awe. After all, it was this kingdom that, in his reality, was under the Great Sea.

—I still can't conceive that this kingdom ended one day—lamented Zelda, approaching the hero of wind and enjoying the landscape as well.

—True—agreed. —Tetra and I have been sailing the sea until now, looking for habitable islands, trying to build a new country and telling children stories from here. Niko has helped us a lot with this part. If it's of consolation, the culture lives on, even though the land has perished.

Zelda nodded, smiling slightly. As they talked, Champion, Time, Peach, Zero and Arikado entered a tunnel that led to the Great Fairy's Fountain. The enclosure had walls with shimmering falls and the fountain was of white marble, as were the beams and columns around it. As they approached, they heard laughter and, after, a very tall woman emerged from the center of the water. She wore foliage for clothing, brown boots and her pink hair was tied up in three ponytails. Of those present, the one who was most amazed by her appearance was the Hyrule's champion Link. "She's very beautiful!", whispered to the queen, the reploid and the vampire, who nodded.

—Welcome, heroes!—greeted. —I'm the Great Fairy of Power. What can I do for you?

—Great Fairy—began Time, taking the lead—, I'd like you, please, grant some of your power to my two brothers here—pointed to Link champion and Zero—, just as you did for me when I was younger.

—You know, Link, I really admire your friendship—the woman told. —I see you together in joy, in sorrow, in difficulties and in battles and that's very good. In honor of the consideration you have for each other, I'll do as you ask. Come closer, please—requested to the hylian and the hunter. They obeyed and she granted magical energy to them. —It's done.

—Thank you, Great Fairy!—they thanked, together.

—You're welcome, dears! Come back whenever you need to and may the Goddesses accompany you.

The group said goodbye to the woman and she retreated to her fountain. Left and found the wind hero Link and Zelda, still talking, sitting on the edge of the summit. Got up and Wind asked:

—How 'bout it?

—We did it. The fairy gave us the energy—revealed the robot. —I already feel like a wizard!—joked.

—I was going to suggest that we practice in my house's backyard—Time spoke—, but the field's better, wider. Let's go.

The Sword Brothers and Zelda went down the trail until they returned to Kakariko, passed through there and arrived at Hyrule Field. Once there, they got on the bikes they had come (Zelda had come on the trunk of time hero Link's vehicle) and Time led them to a place to the northwest, near the Market's wall and Zora's River, to practice with the weapons they acquired and learn magic.

The practice began with duels and the one who could surrender or disarm the opponent won. Time and Peach fought with their rapiers while Champion faced Zero and Wind dueled with Arikado. They continued the exercise by switching opponents and weapons until all were satisfactorily proven. After, the men taught each other and the women some of the techniques they had developed ("The Back Slice and Helm Splitter I already know, Orca taught me" revealed the hero of wind Link, to Time's amazement, but pulled himself together and rejoiced, for realized that, in Wind's reality, someone had inherited the skill). The girls had nothing to teach, for everything they knew about fencing learned from the boys. However, this didn't sadden them. They spent some more time exercising the newly taught skills.

It was getting dark when the brothers decided to stop training and leave the magic classes for the next day.

—Get in the house and settle in—Time said to Champion, handing him his house key. —I'm taking the princess to the castle.

The swordsmen got on their motorcycles and rode to Market Town, where the hero of time Link now lived. In the center, Time and Zelda separated from the others and headed to Hyrule Castle while Champion, Wind, Peach, Zero and Arikado headed to the hylian's home. There, they bathed, one by one, and champion Link and the queen, who were the most skilled cooks, prepared a beef stew for dinner. In the meantime, the owner of the home had arrived.

—Shouldn't you be back in the Mushroom Kingdom for work tomorrow, sis?—Zero asked Peach during the meal.

—No, no problem—replied. —All my trips with you are reported and justified to the parliament—clarified. —Don't worry 'bout it.

They spent the rest of dinner talking about the training ("Hyouretsuzan's the Ending Blow with ice", "I'm not used to doing horizontal spinning attacks, only vertical ones", "I still didn't get the Flurry Rush properly, I need more training", "I had trouble with Arikado's super speed, very difficult to do") and were looking forward for the next day, when they were going to teach each other magic. When finished eating, each washed the dishes it used, the master of the house went to his room to sleep while the others went to do the same in the dormitory. "Good night!", "Good rest!", they said.

The next morning, after breakfast, the gladiators were back at the place where they trained the day before. Peach and Arikado began the teachings, as they were the most versed in magic. The monarch taught them Mute, Sleepy Time, Psychic Bomb, Peach Beam and Breaker Beam. The dhampir, on the other hand, taught Dark Metamorphosis, Hellfire, Tetra Spirit and Soul Steal (for Absolute Zero, taught Wing Smash). After training these magics, it was time for the time hero and the champion to teach what they knew. The former showed them Din's Fire, Farore's Wind and Nayru's Love, while the latter showed Mypha's Grace, Daruk's Defense, Revali's Gale and Urbosa's Fury. They trained as much as their magical energy would allow. When were exhausted, rested to recover the energy and then returned to practice.

"I really liked Revali's Gale and Farore's Wind!", "Your Nayru's Love is no match for my Peach Beam! Hahahahaha!", "I'm a regenerator, so I don't need to master Mypha's Grace or Soul Steal", "Hellfire, a very strong magic, hard to defend", some of them commented while eating and drinking in Time's house. It was getting late when they decided to stop. They were tired, hungry and thirsty, for they didn't lunch.

—Will we have the opportunity to cast these spells on enemies as we did with the weapons at mavericks in Abel City?—Champion asked.

—We'll, of course—Arikado answered.

Seconds later, they heard shouts. Came out, with swords and guns in hand, and saw a gang of Wizzrobes attacking residents, houses and establishments.

—Big mouth!—spoke the vampire to champion Link, who did a sheepish smile. The Sword Brothers advanced to stop the wizards.
