1. The Day
She walked through the busy street of Konohagakure no Sato. Ignoring all the stares that directed to her just always she does. Today her appearance must be more intimidating to them than usual. Her black hair was done in a high ponytail, she wore a sleeveless black top with a zipper, black shorts underneath a short black apron skirt, black fingerless gloves that reach her middle upper arm which tightened with a belt, knee-high shinobi sandals that also tightened with a belt, and lastly a Konoha hitai-ate on her forehead which explain to everyone that looking at her now that she was part of Konoha shinobi now.
She still has time. But that doesn't mean she would take her sweet time and walk to the academy leisurely.
Today was the day that she starts her path as a shinobi. One step closer to fulfilling her ambition. One step closer to killing that man.
Seven years from that day was not a short time for others but she felt like it was just yesterday in her mind which just shows how much that incident affected her.
Before she know she was now standing before the entrance of her classroom. Behind the door was where she always studied for seven years to become shinobi of Konohagakure no Sato.
This will be the last time I use this classroom.
She opens the door and takes a step inside.
"Satsuki-chan!"
Her eyes widened in shock.
An annoyingly familiar voice that she always wished that she didn't need to familiarize with called for her.
She turned her head slowly still refusing to believe he was here. He wasn't supposed to be here. It was only for those who passed the Gennin exam who were supposed to be in the classroom.
She remembered two days ago when she heard that he wasn't passed the exam. She felt relieved. She knew it was wrong. To felt relieved on top of someone else failure. But, she can't help to feel that way. Although, some part of her was really felt sorry for the boy.
Wearing an orange jacket and pants was a blond boy around the same age as her with blue eyes not forgetting his unique characteristics on his face, three whiskers marks on his cheeks. Last but not least the goggles that he usually wears now replaced with Konoha Hitai-ate which a self-explanation that he was passed the genin exam.
Satsuki Uchiha starred in horror at Naruto Uzumaki's smiling face.
Kami-sama... why...
Naruto Uzumaki was Satsuki Uchiha number one fanboy. Always pestering her for a date or asking her to be his girlfriend. He was a dead last without anything noteworthy as a shinobi. Just a dead last. Loud, annoying, and good for nothing wanna be a ninja.
She sighed.
She need to calm herself she was a kunoichi now a calm mindset was needed in every situation.
Today was team assignments. Despite she doesn't have any knowledge of how the team arrangements were decided the probability that they were in the same team together was lower than ten percent.
Ignoring the blond, she looks around the classroom and noted that there was only three more Gennin from her graduating class that haven't arrived yet.
One of them was... he was here she could feel his presence for a while now.
"Oh, good morning." Someone greeted her from behind.
Speak of the devil.
She turned around a boy with brown spiky hair and eyes was standing there in front of her. he wears a black short-sleeved shirt with a high collar along with long brown pants which stop above his shinobi sandals.
The Rookie of the year.
Sasuke Sarutobi.
Also, someone, she can't help be cautious around.
Some part of her feels not a little amount of respect for the Sarutobi for his strength. She doesn't have anything against Sasuke Sarutobi. However, the boy has too many similarities with that man. The man she vowed to kill.
Again, Satsuki could respect the Sarutobi for his strength and even sometimes think about testing her own strength against Sasuke Sarutobi to gauge her level compared to the one who hailed as the Sarutobi prodigy.
The close thing she gets against Sasuke was the spar in the academy which was limited to taijutsu only even that end up in a stalemate.
As much as she wants to fight the Sarutobi prodigy wishing for him to be placed in the same team with her was too much despite him definitely wouldn't be a hindrance to have on the same team. She doesn't dislike him to the extent of the blond Uzumaki but she still would rather not see someone with too many similarities with that man every day if she could help it.
She was only nodded in response to Sasuke's greetings and walked past Naruto towards her seat.
"Let's hope we're in the same team Satsuki-chan!"Naruto exclaimed joyously. No one noticed that her eye twitched for a second there. She continues to walk towards her seat while ignoring the blond.
"Hey Naruto, you pass!" A moment later she heard Sasuke talk to the class dead last. Even from his voice, she could tell that the Sarutobi heir was surprised and pleased at the same time that one of his friends was managed to pass the Genin exam like the rest of them.
"Hehe, is there a doubt, Sasuke?"
Sasuke frowned as he sit beside the blond, "I'm pretty sure that Iruka-sensei informed us that you fail the exam, Naruto. Ah, please don't get me wrong I'm happy you pass the exam just like the others of course." Sasuke smiled at the end.
"Well, this says otherwise, right?" The Blonde smirked and pointed at his hitai-ate with pride. "Iruka-sensei himself gave his forehead protector to me for my graduation, dattebayo!"
"Is that so, good for you Naruto," Sasuke said happy for his friend.
Satsuki stares at the pair interaction with interest. It must be the same line of thinking as the rest of the class.
The friendship of the rookie of the year and the class dead last. It was a surreal situation.
Naruto Uzumaki was one person that never take his study seriously in Satsuki's eyes. Rarely paying attention in class, pranking the whole village, shouting about becoming a Hokage without a skill to back them up, she never saw him training seriously before it was half effort at best when she witnessed him train, also those annoying date invitations that she rejected numerous times. In short, Naruto Uzumaki was someone that never take his decision to be a ninja seriously.
Sasuke Sarutobi on the other hand was someone gifted with talent as a shinobi and never once did he brag about his talent. Diligent with his training always never failed to pay attention in class always a good model student, well-liked by the whole village and his clan. Everyone knew him as a new rising prodigy from the Sarutobi clan.
Yeah, too many similarities with that man. Satsuki gritted in anger.
With just a short description alone you can say that Sasuke Sarutobi was the complete opposite of Naruto Uzumaki.
Guess when they say characters' differences were not an obstacle to forging a friendship was true.
She shrugged.
A moment later a sound could be heard from the hallway it sounded like someone running in the hallway.
Hm, is this by any chance... she felt like she know what was coming.
The door abruptly opened revealing two remaining students or the graduating class.
" "First!" "
Tsk, So I was right.
Two girls, one with pink hair wearing red qipao-like clothes, while the other was a blonde done up in a ponytail with purple clothes.
If she has her own fanboy then Sasuke Sarutobi has his own group of fangirls. Satsuki could say that almost all the class resident female was Sasuke Sarutobi fangirls except for Satsuki herself and the Hyuga heiress.
The rest of the girls just watching didn't want to disturb the two top fangirls. Those two bickering about the one who deserves to sit beside Sasuke
What a disgrace. She doesn't really care about both of them but those fangirls really paint a bad image towards all kunoichi who decide to take their profession seriously. Forget about the pink-haired one however, the blonde one was Ino Yamanaka a shinobi clan heiress of Konoha just like Satsuki.
She sighed. Not her problem, there was no use thinking about some fangirls they were their jounin sensei problem now even by any chance she was end up on the same team with them she'll just ignore them.
Iruka Umino finally arrived and told the bickering duo to shut their mouth and take a seat.
Huh? what happened to him. Satsuki thought to herself noticing several bandages on her academy sensei's body. At the same time, Satsuki realized immediately and shrugged. He was a shinobi this was normal.
After a long speech about being shinobi and their life from now on from Iruka, they finally moved to the team assignment.
When it was time for the team seven...
"Next, team seven your jounin instructor will be Kakashi Hatake..." Announced Iruka.
"Those who will be part of this team are Satsuki Uchiha..." Satsuki raised her eyebrows in interest.
"... Sasuke Sarutobi..."
Damn! Satsuki cursed internally.
"... and finally Naruto Uzumaki..."
Kami-sama really hates me! Satsuki cried inside her mind.
While her fanboy, "Yoshaa! Kami-sama really loves me dattebayo!" Naruto shouted in joy.
Satsuki slumped on her seat an action mimicked by Sasuke's fangirls since none of them were in the same team as the Sarutobi.
Two hours later...
The ones remaining in the class were only the new Genin from team seven. The other teams were already with their jounin sensei not long after the team assignment.
You've got to be kidding. How long I'm supposed to wait?! The only girl in team seven complained internally. Moreover, the blond menace was being an annoyance as usual and it take a lot of willpower for her to not turn him into cinders.
Another one hour later...
"... then he said..." Naruto continued to talk to her even without Satsuki giving slight care for what he said. And finally, her anger reached its boiling point.
Enough!
She turned her head at the blond and stares directly into his eyes. Her usual black eyes were now replaced with a red one with two tomoes on each eye.
Genjutsu: Sharingan!
Naruto's eyes widened for a moment before he slumped on his seat, unconscious.
Sasuke that has been reading a scroll suddenly feels something wrong. He looked around to realize that Naruto was sleeping on his seat with drool on his lips.
"Huh, when did he..." Sasuke murmured.
At that moment the door opened showing someone with silver hair. He was wearing standard Konoha Jounin clothes with his hitai-ate wears diagonally to cover his left eye he also wore a mask.
"..."
"..."
"Hm, my first impression of you guys is-" Unfortunately for the newly arrived silver-haired Jounin whatever he was about to say was cut off by loud snoring.
"... ZZZZZZZ..."
The Jounin Sweatdropped,"... let's just meet up on the rooftop, and be sure to awake your teammate first. "
Without as much as looking at her other two teammates, Satsuki immediately headed towards the rooftop. Their new sensei was already there waiting for them.
"... ZZZZZZZ..."
The Jounin raised his eyebrow when they arrive on the rooftop. The Sarutobi supports the still sleeping Naruto with his shoulder, "I'm pretty sure I told you to wake him up."
"I'm sorry sensei, I'm having a hard time waking him up," Sasuke answered.
The silver-haired jounin sighed. "We can't start this before he is awake. Very well, let me wa-"
However, before the jounin could finish his sentence he was interrupted again.
"Ahh... yes..." Naruto moaned in his sleep.
Everyone around him raised their eyebrows.
"Ahh... it's so warm... wrapping around me... yes... use your mouth some more..."
Sasuke and Satsuki start showing pink tints on their cheeks while their new jounin sensei started giggling perversely realizing just what kind of dream their blond teammate was seeing.
"Yes... you are so talented... with that mouth... of yours... ahh... you're amazing..."
However, none of them were ready for the next word that comes out from Naruto's mouth.
"... Satsuki-chan..."
As fast as any lightning element technique, heads turned. Both the jounin sensei and Sasuke turned their head towards the girl, the one that Naruto said in his dream their eyes looked as if they would bulge out of their eye sockets. Satsuki on the other hand turned her gazes towards the blond with all her blood was rushed to her head making her face just as red as a ripe tomato.
Sasuke turned his head on the other side as if he didn't want anyone to see his face. But, from his shaking shoulder, you can tell that he was trying to hold his laugh while the jounin not even trying to hide his perverted giggling as he stared at her.
Satsuki walked towards the blond pulled him by the collar from Sasuke and slap him hard on the face to wake him up. Everyone obviously thinks that kind of slap would definitely wake Naruto up, instead...
"Ah, Yesss..! That's the spot! Satsuki-chan...!" Naruto moaned lecherously in his sleep only getting worse.
Satsuki's blush immediately reignited.
Slap!
"Yes! Harder!"
Slap!
"Ah! It feels amazing!"
Slap!
"Harder! Satsuki-chan! Harder dattebayo!"
Both Sasuke and the jounin cannot hold their laughter anymore as they were already rolling on the floor laughing their hearts out.
Damnit! did I mess up with my genjutsu earlier?!
"Kyaaahh!" Satsuki finally snapped after several minutes of moaning from Naruto and slam the blond head first to the floor.
"Ow!" That finally wake him up. "Huh, oh good morning everyone!" Naruto greeted.
"It seems you finally awake. Did you see a good dream?" The jounin asked with an eye smile. As for the raven-haired Uchiha, she glared at the jounin.
"Huh, hm... now that you mention it I do not remember... but I have a feeling it was the best dream I ever have." Naruto frowned unaware of the blushing Uchiha.
"By the way, who are you?" Naruto asked.
"Well, why don't we start at the introduction." The man suggested. "I'll start. My name Kakashi Hatake. The thing I like is a secret. As for things I dislike there is no point telling you guys. I have quite a few hobbies. My dreams of the future are none of your concern."
The three genins sweatdropped with the same thoughts in their head. In the end, we only know his name!?
"Now, start from the Sarutobi." Kakashi gestured for Sasuke to introduce himself.
Sasuke nodded, "My name is Sasuke Sarutobi. The things I like are training, my clan, families, and friends. I dislike arrogant people the most. As for hobby is gardening. My dream for the future is to become Hokage." Sasuke finished as he saw her blond friend give him a thumb up which made him smile.
Kakashi nodded, "Good. Next, the only female on the team."
"The name is Satsuki Uchiha. I don't particularly like anything and there are many things I dislike, including..." She sent a glare to the oblivious blond at her left for a split second that did not go unnoticed by their sensei or Sasuke as the two actually snickered at the girl situation. They must be recalled her earlier embarrassing situation, "As for my dream for the future... it's more of ambitions, to revive my clan and kill a certain man."
"..." Kakashi stared at her for a moment longer before nodding.
"Satsuki-chan... so cool dattebayoo..." Naruto murmured in admiration.
The certain two snickered again while Satsuki's eye twitched in annoyance.
"Cough, okay now the last one."
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki dattebayo! I like ramen and I hate waiting for the ramen to be served. My hobby is pranking. My dream is to be a Hokage." Naruto said as he introduced himself. At the end of his introduction, Sasuke gives him a thumb up as he replied in the same manner.
"..."
Satsuki didn't really care about others especially her fanboy.
Kakashi on the other hand thinks that for Naruto that was kind of lackluster.
Sasuke at first glance looks like he was wholeheartedly supported the blond dream even though it was the same dream as him while on the other hand, he was thinking the same thing as Kakashi. That was why, as a prodigy as he was Sasuke decided to take that matter into his hand and help his friend. "You know what Naruto, I thought your dream would be more like centered around a certain person,"
It takes a moment before Satsuki realizes what Sasuke trying to imply as she glared at the Rookie of the year.
A gasp could be heard, "Thank you for correcting me of my error, Sasuke."
Suddenly a blond grabs her hands and looks at her in the eyes. "My dream is to help Satsuki-chan revive her clan!"
"..."
A slow clapping could be heard from Kakashi and Sasuke.
"Amazing, Naruto."
"Amazing indeed."
"..."
Satsuki's face was getting redder either in embarrassment or anger. But one thing was for sure mount Satsuki finally erupt. "Like hell you are!"
A clean and beautiful uppercut executed courtesy of the Uchiha as Naruto Uzumaki soared high into the sky. "Dattebayoo...!"
