A/N: Work. Allergies. Summer. Hate it all with all my...well hate. It's a pain to deal with, but I'm working on it. Still gonna give it my all with these chapters and hopefully get back to my other ones soon. For now though, let's get into the story and remember that Reviews are at the bottom from now one.
On with the story!
Explosive Battles All Around!
(Chapter Start)
(Momo Yaoyorozu and Katsumi Bakugou vs. Taya Nightingale and Mina)
Momo hummed to herself as she placed the last of the barriers up for the entrances before turning her head to see Katsumi's progress. She was thankful that she seemed more willing to help out than what her brother may be. Granted she was quiet about it though, mostly due to her own plan. One exit remained as Katsumi stood in front of it as Momo came up to her.
"While I would prefer us to stay together, I understand why one of us should go on the offensive." Momo said, as Katsumi sucked her teeth.
"The other teams lost because they thought staying with the bomb was gonna be for the best. Dumbasses didn't think what would happen if they got overrunned within the first second." Katsumi commented, remembering how the two Villain Teams failed. One wasn't paying attention to one of the members and the other was completely destroyed within barely a minute. "I'll take Pinky and Draco for myself. You make sure this place stays sealed, Ponytail."
'...Nicknames?' Momo thought, wondering if she should be happy at gaining one or confused about the nickname itself. "And if one of them gets by you, be sure to contact me via radio."
"Tch, they won't get by me."
"Bakugou-San!" Momo said seriously, stopping her in place. "Please, this isn't something that we should take lightly. Even if it is an exam. Anything can happen."
Katsumi was about to say something before stopping short. She was not going to be arrogant...at least not as much. "Yeah, yeah, I'm going as soon as All Might gives the call."
"Understood."
"And call me Katsumi. None of the "San" stuff for me."
"Of course!"
"AND START!" Katsumi was off like a bat out of hell, leaving Momo to handle things with the bomb.
Meanwhile, Taya was taking the lead with Mina by her side as they ran up the floors. While the idea of flight was brought up, Taya dismissed it, believing it to be too obvious and that she can be easily blown out of the sky along with Mina. Traveling throughout the building was their safest bet to win.
"Sooo...any interest?" Mina asked, making conversation.
"Swords, Movies, Dragons, Plushies." Taya said without looking in her direction. Mina pouted at that and was about to ask for more before the Dragoness suddenly grabbed her. She yelped as they jumped back, Taya herself growling as an explosion slammed into her back and knocked them on the ground. "Damn it all."
"Looks like I found you." Katsumi said, standing across from them and with a maniacal grin across her face. Taya narrowed her eyes as she stood up, Mina doing the same while being startled by the attack.
"Tch. You won't give me any trouble." Taya declared, her wings spread out.
"HA! We'll see about that Scales!" Katsumi declared before blasting herself at the Dragoness. Lifting her wings up, Taya planned to protect herself from the blast only for the Explosive user to suddenly blast herself over her! Instead she was aiming right for Mina, who was left wide open as Katsumi lunged at her. "GET OVER HERE PINKY!"
"NO THANK YOU!" Mina exclaimed as she barely managed to roll out of the way of the explosion.
Katsumi gritted her teeth as she grabbed the ground to stop herself in place before noticing something grey flying at her. Jumping back, she watched as the grey liquid burned the ground, making a note of the acid power. However before she could think more on it, she was suddenly slammed by the force of a truck and thrown into a wall. She groaned before she felt a foot pressed up against her neck as she was pinned in place by Taya.
"You are done here." The Dragoness said, placing pressure. Turning her head, she saw Mina getting up. "Get to the bomb, I shall handle her."
"Gotcha!" Mina said before running away from the duo. Katsumi growled, slowly reaching up for the ear piece, pressing it quickly.
"Pinky got past me-GAH!" She cried out as Taya reached down and smashed her earpiece with her hand. However at the same time, Katsumi grabbed her arm and released an explosion powerful enough to push her back.
Jumping on to her feet, she made a tight fist as clicking sounds could be heard from his gauntlets by Taya. Kastumi charged at the Dragoness, reeling a fist back while Taya crossed her arms to block it. As the fist into her arms, a powerful, explosive impact was released as it forced Taya to go sliding back. The Dragoness gritted her teeth as Katsumi continued to throw punch after punch, each one exploding on impact.
(Observation Room)
"Explosive Gauntlets! Now that's awesome!" Kaminari and Galva exclaimed, stars in their eyes.
"Yeash, when you think they couldn't get any louder." Jiro mumbled.
"I'm really glad I don't have to go against her!" Toru cried out.
"Um, you know you may have to face her in the future right?" Sato couldn't help pointing it out.
"YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO TELL ME THAT!" Toru exclaimed, arms waving in pure fear and worry.
"S-sorry!"
'Wow! She's amazing!' Izuku thought as he looked at the screen with a wide smile. However a frown came on his face soon after as he watched them fight. 'But Taya is keeping her ground too. Her Scales seemed enough to tank on Sumi's normal explosions. The ones she's firing now are far more consecutive, but much weaker in order to keep up with that consecutiveness in order to not damage her Gauntlets. If she wants to win, then she'll need to change up her style fast.'
Off to the side, Katsuki was looking at the battle with a scoff. He wasn't impressed so far by Taya, believing full and well he could take her down. Looking down at his own Gauntlets, he grinned madly.
He was eager to test them out.
(Battle Test Zone)
As Taya and Katsumi were fighting, Mina had arrived up to the final floor with little time wasted. She wasted no time heading for the entrance, hoping to make it to the bomb and win by a simple touch. Stopping short, she peaked her head inside to see if Momo was anywhere only to see a shield swinging towards her head. Lunging forward to dodge the shield, Mina rolled over the ground. Getting on her feet, she started spiritning for the bomb only for something to wrap around her arm and hold her back.
Turning her head she saw Momo standing by the entrance, holding the Shield and a Whip. "Forgive me, Mina!"
Pulling the Alien Girl back, Momo had reeled her shield back with the intent to bash it into her face! Mina decided she had other plans however. As she grew closer to Momo, she suddenly dashed for the Creator-Girl before jumping on her shield and doing a perfect flip over her. Gripping the whip tightly, she yanked it with all her might as she fell to the ground. Effectively she was able to force Momo off her feet and onto the ground while she had landed perfectly on her feet.
Dancing has its perks.
"Gotcha Momo!" Mina declared as she took out some capture tape. However Momo suddenly lifted off the ground while creating a Riot-Shotgun, aiming it right at the pink skinned girl. "WAIT! HOLD ON-GAK!"
A Bean-Bag Round slammed into her stomach and sent her flying back into the wall. Mina could only whimper in a bit of pain as she clutched onto her stomach while trying to get back home. However she soon found her hands wrapped together as she looked down to see the capture tape around them. Mina groaned out loudly while Momo gave her an apologetic smile.
Downbelow, Taya growled as she ducked under one of Katsumi's punches, before throwing her own uppercut into the girl's stomach. She gasped in pain before she was knocked away by Taya's tail and slammed into a wall. The Dragoness closed in quickly and grabbed one of her Gauntlets before ripping it from her hands, crushing it. In doing so however, she received a full-blown explosion in her side and was blasted back a bit.
"You're gonna pay for that!" She was extremely pissed off at having one of her Gauntlets broken and planned on making the Dragoness pay.
Blasting herself off the ground, she flew at Taya and proceeded to clothesline into the ground hard. Rolling off her, Katsumi pulled a small handle on her remaining Gauntlet before aiming it down at Taya and firing an explosive shell. These Shells were meant for more direct, long ranged attacks while withholding a small bit of power due to being filled with a certain amount previously.
Katsumi kept backing up as she fired while Taya was beginning to get off her feet. Jumping back to her feet, the Dragoness was shot to her head that had made her take a step back. Lifting her head up, her eyes glowed purple before she rushed at Katsumi, side stepping the explosive shots coming at her. Once she had closed in, she slammed her elbow into Katsumi's neck and pinned her to the wall. The Explosive girl was forced to stop her assault as she struggled to get from the wall only to find her gauntleted arm pinned to the wall as well, now being crushed by Taya's hand.
This girl was far stronger than Katsumi had expected, but she wasn't one to mess around with either. 'Just a little bit longer.'
Forcing her free hand up, she blasted the wall behind her. Both her and Taya fell back into it as she quickly kicked Taya over and away from her. Landing on her feet, the Dragoness gained a dark purplish-aura around her. Katsumi in the meantime was getting back onto her feet, spitting on the ground before glaring up at Taya. She saw the menacing Aura around the Dragon, popping explosions in her hands as she waited for the next move. Soon enough a large piece of debris fell between them, as Taya instantly took off at Katsumi. The Explosive girl gritted her teeth as she raised her hands up to fire an explosion before-
"TIMES UP! VILLAIN TEAM WINS!" All Might announced suddenly. Taya lost her aura as she used her wings to slow herself down. Katsumi stopped her own attack, lowering her hands and frowned.
'Knew it was only a matter of time. Five minutes isn't enough time for the Heroes to relax. Ponytail should have dealt with Pinky so holding off scales was more important...however...' Katsumi thought as she looked over at Taya, who was sighing in disappointment. 'Scales is way stronger than I gave her credit for. Even with my gauntlets, I barely even made her flinch...tch. I won't be caught off-guard next time. One way or another, I'll beat you with my own power.'
She won't lie, she felt a bit threatened by the Dragoness' power. Tanking explosions, physically stronger, faster, not to mention that weird aura she had. However no doubts entered her mind, rather excitement and anticipation. If there was something she loved doing, it was overpowering those who were stronger. Regardless it be through feats or pure strength, it didn't matter to her. Just so long as she got to show her worth to the world.
"Hey, Scales!" Taya turned around to see the determined glare of Katsumi. "Don't expect a timer to stop our fight next time! I'll be winning against you no matter what!"
"...I look forward to it, Bakugou-Chan." Taya said as a gentle smile appeared on her face. Seeing it made Katsumi scoff a bit, but she allowed a smirk to remain on her face.
A rivalry had been made.
"Hurry back now! We have other matches to start up!"
(Shoko Todoroki and Rikido Sato Vs. Galva Solaris and Toru Hagakure)
Sato could only sweatdrop as he watched Shoko seal up the entrance to the bomb area. He wasn't gonna lie. He felt lucky that he was paired up with someone as powerful as her rather than against her. Still he couldn't help, but find her cold and distant personality a bit...annoying.
But he could deal with it when they won.
"So, um, what's the game plan?" Sato asked.
"Just stay out of my way and I'll freeze them solid." Shoko commanded as she began walking ahead, freezing the layout around her while leaving a path for Sato to walk on.
"R-right!" Sato said quickly while walking alongside her. They strolled in silence, trying to find Galva and Toru, but to no avail. "They could be flying up?"
"No. I froze that room solid. We would have heard Galva attempting it by now." The Ice-Girl said, without even looking in his direction. Given how hard the Ice was and the whole room being a giant Ice-Cube now, it would take forever to get into the room. "I want to end this fast however, thus taking them out as soon as possible will be beneficial."
"If you say so." Sato said, not at all concerned. "...So, um...how-
The wall next to them suddenly busted wide open as Galva came jumping through with his Giant Metal Fist out and a large grin across his face. "OH YEAH!"
"Tch." Shoko released a wide wave of Ice in front of them to defend themselves only for it to be destroyed instantly, much to her surprise.
"I got him!" Sato stepped up and matched the metal fist with his own, stopping it in place. Galva however was ready as his leg soon transformed into the same metal as he threw out a kick at Sato and sent him flying back into a wall.
"HA HA! GOTCHA!" Galva exclaimed as he moved to swing at Shoko. However a wave of Ice froze his arm, making his arm hit the ground. "Oh come on!"
"You talk too much." Shoko said as she prepared to freeze him only for Sato to rush past her. She sucked her teeth in irritation as she watched Sato uppercut Galva in his stomach. 'That fool is getting in the way.'
Sato roared as he brought his hands down on Galva's head before grabbing it and slamming his knee in his face. This sent the Tech-Themed Student back a few steps before he stopped himself. The Sugar User rushed ahead again to attack only for him to find himself wrapped up in a bluish like whip. He was then flung over into a wall, smashing against it before Galva jumped at him again and stomped on him with his Giant-Metal Boots.
"Hell yeah!" Galva exclaimed as he reabsorbed his parts. He looked down at Sato and noticed he was unconscious, making him chuckle and rub the back of his head nervously. "Aw man, I think I overdid it. What do you-BLAHH!"
A wave of ice was his answer.
Looking down at now frozen feet, he rolled his eyes as he coated his hand in metal before breaking the ice holding him. However as soon as he did so, a pillar of Ice hit his stomach and forced him back. Shoko released another wave of Ice as Galva quickly made his Metal Fist and smashed it to pieces. Using the large fist, he used them to jump over at the Ice-Queen and swung to attack only to hit a wall of Ice instead.
"Really!" Galva growled as he punched through the Ice once more as Shoko stood across the room from him. "Come on now! Ice-Queen Vs. Super Robot!"
"No." She released another wave of Ice, freezing the hallway solid. Galva himself was instantly caught, his whole body being frozen solid. He couldn't even speak as Shoko approached him. "Now stay here while I-
"YOUR MINE-EEP!"
Toru, having stayed hidden during the fight, had tried to attack Shoko from behind with an Ice-Block she had picked up only to be frozen in place instantly. Shoko herself didn't even look the least bit remorseful as she watched Toru shiver in the Ice-Block while the intercom came on.
"VILLAINS WIN!" All Might announced as Shoko hummed to herself. "Todoroki-Chan, please unfreeze your classmates and allow the Medic-Bots to take them!"
Shoko hesitated at first before nodding as she placed a hand on Toru and began melting her. '...I hate this power.'
(Observation Room)
Izuku gulped as he realized his predicament. There were only four people left and that meant he would either be against Katsuki or with him, both of which would end terribly. He had barely glanced over at his former friend and flinched violently at seeing the mad grin that was sent his way.
"Zuku." Turning around he was greeted with the worried face of Katsumi. She opened her mouth to say something before closing it. Even she wasn't sure what to do for him. "I-"
"D-don't worry about me, Sumi." Izuku said, catching her attention. "I'll beat him myself, so don't worry about me. Okay?"
The Explosive girl seemed more worried than before, not wanting this fight to ever happen, but it was inevitable in the end. RIght now though, she just wished it had happened much, much later. "Just...be safe. It doesn't matter if you win or not against him."
"I...I'll try." It was the best he could do.
"NEXT UP! Izuku Midoriya and Denki Kaminari Vs. Ochaco Uraraka and Katsuki Bakugou!" All Might announced, failing to see the extreme level of bloodlust in Katsuki's eyes and the large amount of fear in Izuku's. "Remember, Five Minutes of Prep then into the fight!"
"Alright! Got the guy who can punch a giant robot away! I'm safe as sound!" Kaminari bragged while swinging an arm around Izuku. The green haired boy chuckled a bit, not sure if he could win.
But he was gonna try damn it.
(Battle Zone)
The Hero Team was Izuku and Kaminari while Katsuki and Uraraka were the Villain Team. All Might started the match not long ago, allowing the two teams to fight it out. Izuku was listening around carefully for Katsuki while Kaminari was simply leading the way.
"So...what's the deal between you and Bakugou?" Kaminari asked suddenly.
"H-huh?" Izuku gulped, wondering what he could say.
"Well everyone in the class can see that guy has a hate-boner for you, but you like you wouldn't hurt a fly. No offense." Kaminari said quickly.
"None taken, but between me and Katsuki...it's a bit personal. Sorry." Izuku said quickly. He didn't want to be rude, but he didn't know Kaminari for too long and he wasn't about to spill that easily.
"I get it man, you don't gotta explain it." Kaminari said with a shrug. Izuku turned his head to speak again before his eye caught something.
"Get down!" Izuku tackled Kaminari out of the way of an explosive palm, knocking them both out of the way of it. Looking up, he saw the battle ready form of Katsuki smirking at them.
"Time to die Shit-Nerd." He wasn't even yelling. He was that sure that he would win, not even the least bit of concern in his tone.
Kaminari was on the ground, still shaking from the nearly being hit by the explosion. However he soon shaped up once he saw Izuku get off the ground, shaking as much as himself, but still putting his fist up. Standing up as well, he felt the sweat drip down his face before wiping it away while lighting activated around him.
"Well...let's get it on." Kaminari said.
"Do me a favor and just surrender Sparky. I'm here for Deku and I don't need your ass getting in my way." Katsuki said without a care.
"Kaminari, leave him to me." Izuku said, surprising the two. "The only way we'll win is if we take down the bomb! Now go!"
Katsuki seemed annoyed now, hating the confidence that Izuku held within himself. However he was far from stupid either.
Kaminari nodded as he turned to run only to hear another explosion go off and turned around to see Katsuki lunging over Izuku and coming right at him. Kaminari fired a bolt of lightning at him only to miss as the Explosive-User blasted himself out of the way. The bolt itself had struck Izuku in the chest, after trying to catch Katsuki, and had blown him across the hall.
"So-" Kaminari didn't get to finish as he was grabbed by his head and tossed into a wall. He hit it pretty hard as Katsuki kicked down on his head to ensure a full-blown knock out.
"Tch. Damn extra." Katsuki scoffed out before turning around. He smirked as he saw Izuku stand up and punch his palm, exploding on impact. "Your next, Deku. I don't know why you decided to hide your Quirk, but it doesn't matter. I'm gonna make you pay.
He already came to his own conclusion when it came to his former friend's sudden Quirk. That he lied about having it, thinking that was some big shot and just wanted the attention. That's how he got pity from his sister all of a sudden, but Deku wouldn't get any from him!
"DIE DEKU!" Katsuki roared as he blasted at him. However as he drew near, Izuku ducked down and swung his leg around and hit Katsuki's leg, throwing him off balance.
Using another blast, Katsuki brought back his balance while getting himself close enough to Izuku to shoulder tackle him. The Greenette fell on his back to immediately roll backwards and bring himself back on his feet. Just in time as he narrowly shifted his head to avoid a fist from the boy and throw a palm into his face. Izuku then kicked under his leg, forcing Katsuki to trip up until he was met with the back hand of the greenette. It was enough to force him back a bit, gaining his footing while Izuku stood his ground.
"I fought with Katsumi everyday since the Slime Incident! I worked myself to build up my body as it is right now! I remembered every move you've made since we were kids!" Izuku declared, his glare fierce. Katsuki growled seeing that look, the same look that pissed him off for so long! "This time, I'll beat you!"
"...You got some nerve, Deku." Katsuki snarled, his eyes fueled by pure concentrated rage. Shivers went down Izuku's spine as he prepared himself for what was to come. "Looking down at me?"
Unsurprisingly he blasted himself at Izuku, but was quick to flip around and slam his foot into the Hero-to-be's chest. This sent the greenette flying back only to hear another explosion as Katsuki closed instantly, grabbing him by the neck. Before he could react, Izuku was slammed down on the ground with extra force as Katsuki fired another explosion above them. The impact hurt like hell, but Katsuki was far from done as he prepared to slam a fist down on Izuku's face.
However debris from his explosion struck his shoulder as he swung, making him hit the floor instead. Acting quickly, Izuku grabbed the collar of Katsuki's shirt and headbutted him. Blood exploded from the Explosive-Boy's nose as he was pushed back enough for Izuku to kick him off. Both of them were quick to get up as Katsuki fired another Explosion into Izuku's chest. The blast alone sent him flying across the hall as he crashed on his back.
Katsuki laughed to himself as he approached Izuku before hearing footsteps running up behind him. Snapping around he slammed his Gauntlet into the incoming form of Kaminari, knocking the wind out of him. He had then grabbed the lighting user by his hair and tossed him towards Izuku's direction, allowing him to fall back. His smirk coming up in full force, Katsuki lifted up his Gauntlet and put a finger on the pin.
"If you're so smart then you should know what this baby can do!" Katsuki exclaimed with a mad look in his eyes. Izuku seemed confused for only a second before it came to him. That thing was filled with his sweat and it was just waiting to be released!
"YOUNG BAKUGOU! I FORBID TO USE THAT SUPPORT ITEM, IT MAY CAUSE SEVERE INJURIES OR WORSE!" All Might exclaimed, but was unable to get through to him.
Izuku prepared to move before he saw Kaminari, his teammate still out of it and unaware of the danger approaching. Jumping to his feet, he rushed at Kaminari and grabbed him by his arm before tossing him into another hallway. Just in time as Katsuki ripped the pin right off with a cackle.
Then flames erupted everywhere.
(Observation Room)
Everyone could only watch in horror at the explosion as they felt the building shake. The video feed they had was now out, as All Might was now trying to connect them back. In the back of the room, Katsumi could be seen sweating, terror on her face as she watched the blank screen.
This was what she had been afraid of. Her brother and his infinite hatred for Izuku had never faded, doubting it ever will. He always had something against Izuku, especially with him now having a Quirk and she knew that he felt threatened. A threat that was determined in becoming a Hero and one that would get in his way of becoming Number One.
But it went deeper than that. Izuku now had power where he had once remained powerless, something that Katsuki couldn't accept. He had already believed that Izuku had lied about being Quirkless and thought he was being looked down on. No matter how far away that was from the truth. Anger filled him at Izuku having a Quirk that may as well been more powerful than his own and now he was taking it out on the Greenette with the full intent to beat him down.
But he just crossed the line.
"WHAT THE SHIT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!" The Explosive-Girl roared out as she stomped her way over to All Might. The Number One Hero took a step back in surprise as she yelled in his face. "END THE MATCH ALREADY!"
"...Now Young Katsumi, the timer hasn't hit Zero yet and neither team has won." All Might began to explain only to see the fierce glare in the girl's eyes.
"FUCK! THAT! END THE MATCH NOW!" This needed to end before it went any further! The Students watched on unsure. Some like Iida wanted to trust their Teacher, others like Uraraka wanted it to end now, while others remained unsure as to what to do.
"Trust in Young Midoriya and Kaminari, I'm sure they're perfectly fine." All Might had placed a lot of trust in Izuku's abilities alone and believed that he would come up fine. Especially with his power in hand. "Now please go wait with the others and-"
"To hell with that." Rukido announced as he stepped towards the door. However All Might stepped in front of him, irritating the Transforming Student greatly. "Move out my way."
"Young Seito, as a Teacher I cannot allow a student to interrupt the match. I understand that seeing your classmates fight may be a bit much for you, but there is no reason to interfere. Now do as you're told and return with your classmates." All Might said, his arms crossed while looking down at Rukido with a stern stare.
"Yeah...no." Rukido quickly raised his arm and slapped down on the Omnitrix, blinding the room in a green light. As it faded a humanoid moth-like creature took place, it's wings unfolding from it's cloak-like state. He held piercing green eyes, claws on his hands and feet, and blue spots across his arms and legs. "Big Chill!"
"This is no time to act like a child, Young Seito! The only way that you're going down there is through me!" He was placing his foot down on this one. There was no way he was gonna allow a match to get interrupted because of some worries. "We did the same thing back in my day! Why I still remember-
The newly transformed Rukido phased right through him.
'I DIDN'T MEAN LITERALLY THOUGH ME!' All Might thought while holding back blood.
(Battlezone)
Kaminari coughed as he stood up in the middle of a dust filled room. Waving his arm around, he slowly stood up and looked around. The hallway was filled with small embers and dust, a large scorched mark on the surrounding walls, ceiling and flooring. Blinking in surprise, he made his way to see if he could find anything only to freeze at the sight of a body on the ground.
"Midoriya!" Kaminari exclaimed as he rushed over to his fallen teammate. The Greenette was completely knocked out, his costume torn and burnt from the blast, burn marks across his chest and was bleeding a bit from around his face. "Hey man, wake up! Crap, crap, crap!"
"Hey are you still kicking Sparky?" Katsuki asked from behind as Kaminari turned to him startled. "Heh, looks like I need to kill you even more then!"
"Forget about it! Midoriya's hurt man! Like really badly!" Kaminari yelled.
"So? That damn nerd should have known his place from the start." The Explosive user said without a care. "Honestly, I only wished I beat him down some more."
"What! Are you crazy or something!" Kaminari was in disbelief by his attitude.
"Does it look like I care! You know what, forget the small talk!" Katsuki yelled, popping an explosion in his hand. "I'll just beat ya down till you stop moving!"
'This guy's actually crazy!' Kaminari thought terrified as he activated his lighting. However as Katsuki tried to attack, he was suddenly grabbed from behind and slammed into a wall. "Huh?"
"What the hell?!" Katsuki growled out as he looked up to see Big Chill standing over him. "Stay the hell out my way, extra."
"The test is over. Midoriya is far too injured to continue and needs treatment right away." Big Chill said, ignoring the Ashy-Haired Blonde in favor of Kaminari and Midoriya. "It would be best if we get him to Recovery Girl as soon as possible."
"He'll be okay right?" Kaminari felt terrible about this. Izuku had practically saved him from getting killed!
"He'll be fine."
"I'm talking to you, Moth-Fucker!" Katsuki was now back on his feet and now popping explosions in his hands. He was ignored once again, finally triggering him to start charging at them. "DON'T FUCKING IGNORE ME!"
He lunged at the Moth-Man only to go right through him as he was encased in a body of ice. He hit the ground frozen solid, unable to move at all, but conscious all the same. Even his Quirk remained useless now that he couldn't sweat out what he needed to even get a spark!
Did he...lose?!
"Woah, dude." Kamiari said, stunned only to be blinded by a flash. Looking over at Rukido, XLR8 stood in place, taking Izuku over his shoulder.
"Sorry, but Izuku needs Recovery Girl fast!" XLR8 said quickly before speeding away with the Greenette in hand. Kaminari could only nod before looking over at the frozen Katsuki and shivered.
He did not want to mess with that.
(U.A. University, Recovery Girl's Office)
Izuku groaned as he came too, exhaustion hitting him like a semi-truck. Opening his eyes, he blinked slowly in confusion before remembering the explosion. Sitting up straight, he looked around to see where he was at only to see the face of the Youthful-Heroine standing in front of him.
"Hello Dearie, it's good to see you awake." The Recovery Girl said with a smile. Though it was strained. "Oh how I wish that you were more careful. I'll be sure to give All Might a whack for not stepping in when he should have."
"I-what happened?" He remembered the explosion, but nothing after that.
"Tsk. That angry, blonde boy used his support item on you. You're lucky that you didn't get any severe burns...or at least more than you seem to have." Recovery Girl said while Izuku flinched. She didn't miss that, yet chose to ignore it for now. "Most of your ribs along with your right arm were broken, not to mention some debris had hit you as well. While not too major, a scar is on your left cheek now."
Reaching up to his face, he could feel the newly formed scar leading down his face.
"Lucky for you, one of your classmates, Seito I believe, actually did something. He and some of the others should be waiting outside." Recovery Girl said. He could only nod as he sat up and began to get out of the bed. "Just remember to get some rest when you get to the dormitory and please, try not to come back here any time soon."
"I'll try my best. Thank you." Izuku said as he managed to get up on his feet. The Nurse could only sigh as she watched him make his way towards the door. She felt like they would be seeing each other a lot.
Opening the door, Izuku jumped at the combined force of nearly everyone in his class jumping out of their seats. "MIDORIYA!"
"GAH!" Izuku exclaimed as he took a step back. However before he could fall on his back, he was caught by his arm and lifted up by Katsumi. "Sumi-OUCH!"
She then smacked him over his head. Rubbing his head in pain, he was unable to stop himself as he roughly lifted up by the collar of his shirt, back on his feet. "Your fucking lucky that we have Revcovery Girl."
"I-I know." Izuku chuckled nervously.
"Bakugo-San! Please refrain from handling Midoriya in such a way!" Iida scolded. "He is still in need of rest!"
"Are you okay, Midoriya! I came down as soon as I heard the building shake!" Uraraka said concerned.
One by one, the class expressed their worry for the Greenette, surprising him the whole time. He felt the need to hold back the tears that threatened to come out. However, Kaminari suddenly stepped forward and bowed his head.
"Please forgive me Midoriya!" Kaminari exclaimed. The Greenette appeared confused at first before Kaminari went on. "I should have gotten out of the way when I had the chance! Maybe you wouldn't have taken Bakugou's blast!"
Oh right. That.
"I-its fine, Kaminari. He isn't someone who knows...restraint." Izuku said slowly. "Besides it was our first real combat match, it's not like we were gonna be perfect with it. We'll just have to do better next time."
"...Are you a sunshine-child or something?"
"Huh?"
"Never mind, thanks for forgiving me dude!" Kaminari practically cheered while swinging an arm around Izuku's neck. "Don't worry about next time though! I'll give that Flaming Pile of Dog-Shit a shock to his system."
'Bakugou's being insulted! U.A. really is a different experience!' Izuku thought while chuckling nervously. Then he remembered something or rather someone. "Where is Bakugou anyway?"
"Principal's Office with All Might. Hope he gets Expelled for that bullshit." Rukido said bluntly.
"Seito-San!" Was Momo and Iida's response while Izuku froze.
"Relax. I doubt they'll expel him, no matter how much I really want them to. Considering the match was in effect, the best he'll get is detention and hopefully some anger management classes. He clearly needs them." Rukido declared with his arms crossed. The Transforming Student really seemed irked while he said all this too, not having a good option. "At least he didn't do any serious damage."
"That reminds me, thank you for bringing me to Recovery Girl." Izuku said with a bow.
"Don't mention it." Rukido said offhandedly. Then he felt something tug on his pants, looking down to see Ship. "Oh hey boy."
"Ship! Ship ship! Shiiiip!"
"Oh! Alright, let's go." Rukido said as Ship jumped on his shoulder. "Get some rest, bye."
"Hang on-And he's gone." Mina said with a pout as he disappeared around the corner.
"I wonder where he is heading." Kaminari said, confused.
"It must be quite important for him to leave in a hurry! Regardless it is none of our business, for now we must ensure Midoriya gets back to the dorms for rest!" Iida ordered, surprising Izuku.
"Huh-EEP!" The Greenette was suddenly levitating thanks to Uraraka. He blushed in pure embarrassment as he was dragged away by both Katsumi and Kirishima. "I-I can walk you know!"
"We know."
Meanwhile Rukido was closing the front gate of the University grounds. He reached into his pocket and took out the red, and white badge he had before, only this time it was slightly blinking now. He smirked as Ship chirped in excitement.
'Time for some real work.'
(Chapter End)
A/N: So that's the Battle Trail, for now that is. So let's get into this.
All Might is a horrible Teacher and I wanted that to show here. Given how he is, he's trying his best while at the same time taking risks. Honestly he should have ended it right after the Katsuki's Grenade Gauntlet went off in the first place, nothing at all should have stopped him from going through with the match.
Katsuki...by the great Blades of the West, he is this crazy. Well maybe I made him a bit crazier, but he is all around the same person. I can't even begin with how much I dislike this guy, but I also know that he is a fan favorite for how he acts...for some reason. In that regard, he is actually being punished as you'll see in the next chapter. Of course it will be minor compared to what happens in the future, but I'm sure you understand that by now.
Oh and Rukido's getting to "work" now so that'll be fun, especially within the next chapter.
Overall, I just hope you've enjoyed this chapter, that you review and that you come back for more. Until next time!
Reviews
Guest: I noticed that Rukido's Omnitrix is described as black and grey, much like the pre-recalibrated one from the original series; but you confirmed it to be the recalibrated (Alien Force) one. Is Rukido's Omnitrix colored differently or is this an oversight?
Answer: Colored differently. Considering a lot of the Omnitrixes around the Multiverse have different schemes I saw no reason to not do it here. I like it that way.
Guest: Okay, quick question: does Rukido have Alien X unlocked? If so, that would make him more powerful than All for One. Unless of course, he's unable to use Alien X's powers. Then again, he might never want to use him considering the form's capabilities. If not, it's probably for the best that transfromation is left locked.
Answer: Now I won't say much, but Alien X will be within the story. As to what that means for Rukido, I won't say due to...well plot and spoilers. I just said it this time because if I just said spoilers then it would be pretty obvious.
Trixun: Even though some things Himiko did were wrong, I can't help but feel sorry for her. In other words, he was fascinated by blood and that is why his parents repressed it all his life so as not to embarrass them. So long holding back his fascination so that it explodes in the worst possible way. And since then her life went to shit, she had to run away from her institute, her home and her parents don't seem to do anything for her, they just wanted to forget about Himiko so as not to harm themselves. It could be said that her parents were superficial ones who did not love Himiko deep down and that they did not care what happened to her, so, at least from my point of view, they are more to blame. If there had at least been someone willing to be friends with Himiko and trust her, perhaps they would not have strayed so far. It is what I think. What is your opinion?
Answer: You're right. In the end she wasn't treated fairly due to her Quirk alone and if you repress the feeling for something that can't be helped, you're more likely to snap because of it. This world is based on if you have a good Quirk or a bad one and in the eyes of the world, she had a bad one and in the eyes of her parents, one that needed to be suppressed and simply forgotten about. So yes, I do feel bad for her, but you have no reason to fear for her in this story. Planks are already in motion for her.
Kamijou Killer: Is this story going to have harem? Or do you already have a single-group couple in mind for Rukido?
Answer: I mean, I haven't thought too much about it when it comes to Rukido. I actually planned ahead for other characters to be in Multi-Pairings. But I suppose I could do it for Rukido.
MBS41: Aye this chapter goes hard. And regarding Seito and the Omnitrix with him no using I see where you are coming from like BNHA is a good anime I'm not going to lie. But the society has been seriously brainwashed into thinking that Quirks are everything and that they make the hero (I mean look at season 1 Bakugou and I feel like he still thinks like that even with his character development in season 5) like no it doesn't and yes while it's nice to have a quirk, doesn't mean that they are everything honestly to me it'd be better to be quirkless since you have some many advantages compared to people with quirks such as you won't have to worry about have drawbacks that comes with having quirks and your body at least I think would be way more improved then those with quirks plus they could enhance their senses better by mediating and the likes. Honestly when I first watched the MHA anime I thought Deku was going to prove to the world that being quirkless doesn't mean that a person is useless but nope he had to get One For All, I would have rather watched a MHA anime where Deku proves that quirkless people can be hero. Anways that all I have to say. I want to write more but I feel like I would be here all day. Btw did the events in Ben 10 the series and movies happen yet or no.
Answer: Like this a lot and I thought it would at the very least have a Quirkless Hero, but no. People don't care for that stuff anymore, it's all flash nowadays.
As for the events of Ben 10, no they have not happened within this world at all.
Chrono: The case of Bakugo in the canon, the truth is that it was not solved in a way that I would have liked. You know? Truth be told, we hardly knew anything about his life except for those flahsbacks with Izuku and it still wasn't much to say. I maintain the theory that for more than ten years he was receiving praise from everyone around him, which contributed to him becoming an arrogant half sociopath unable to see the world as it is. Believing that everything revolved around him and anything that deviates from his perception of the world is a threat as such and attacks him to make him disappear. The teachers that he has had until now, it is honestly possible that they made everything worse by kissing his ass, perhaps thinking that if he became a hero, they as his former tutors would gain prestige and money and I don't know. I don't understand why his parents didn't do anything to stop him, or maybe they didn't know, I imagine the teachers at his school refusing to call them to punish Katsuki because doing so would hurt his chances.
But that's not the only thing that disappoints me. Even at the AU, everyone was too lenient with him. Even Aizawa who is known for his strict character as a teacher, I find it very strange that precisely he, or Nedzu, were not aware of Katsuki's bad behaviors before entering the school of heroes. Don't they have a history on each student that they could look at his background? Or was it that they were forged by Aldera's own guardians who were trying to trick them into preventing them from taking action for Katsuki? I know, this theory sounds very conspiratorial and paranoid, but it is the only thing that explains it to some extent. What's more, even if that's the case, Nedzu is a super smart guy. Was he really unable to see between the lines or inquire more about his students' histories to see if they had problems to solve? Fuck because if not, I am not surprised that there was possibly a traitor among them if they were so negligent. Even when Katsuki stepped out of line, they didn't take action on it, they left him with a little warning hoping that his frustrations at failing would make him see the truth for himself, which they didn't. Only when he was captured by the league of villains and when All Migth lost his powers did he begin to change. As you can see, the supposed "redemption" of Bakugo did not come from some influence from Izuku as he would have liked, nor from the teaching staff of the academy, just by a fortuitous misfortune, and that to me if I'm honest I thought it was shabby.
Personally, I would have preferred that they were fairer with the punishments in the UA to avoid so many transgressions with that boy. Let's see, his own classmates were unaware that he was abusing Izuku for ten years for ... what? For not having Quirk, or for helping him when he fell off a log? And he still won the approval of some in the end just like that, because no one set out to reveal the sins that he had committed.
It is not my intention to judge how you are going to make this story, I know that it is never easy to describe a work of fiction like this, but if you could make things more realistic in terms of abuse and bullying in Boku no Hero and that there is consequences would be appreciated. If you need help, I recommend you watch "My Hero Pokedamia" by Zayden StormVoid, in it at least justice is done with the transgressions, and the story is very well described for being a mixture of Pokémon. Good luck and keep writing.
Answer: *Turns to my friend* I like this one.
I love this. I really do. Most people just place it behind them and leave it alone due to what I call, "The Vegeta Effect" The Vegeta Effect is when a character who has done terrible things in the past is often forgiven by the viewers due to them doing cool stuff or having a funny/cool personality.
You have no idea how hard I've tried to figure out how these teachers haven't gone through this kid's damn file and realize this kind of stuff. But no for the sake of future plot it is left alone. Honestly this is all extremely suspicious.
But there is no reason to fear. Why? Because I don't ignore shit like that. Help's that don't like him enough as is. However I'm not an spiteful person and with the help of my friend, we've discussed how to handle Katsuki within the story while also keeping making sure he actually can improve as a character.
You just have to wait and see.
Freemaker: I've always thought that what All Might thinks of the Quirkless is not just prejudice. I suppose a part of him did mean that without a Quirk, hero work would be more dangerous. But still wouldn't it be just as dangerous if I was a cop or something? Although those jobs are often looked down upon as he put it, so he didn't think about it anyway.
But the fact that he literally forgot what, and Aizawa and Nighteye were heroes whose Quirks are useless in fighting and who nevertheless had the ability to defend themselves and do their job properly ... anyway, it seemed strange to me that he didn't tell him. to Izuku at first that to try it he had to train and that, not just saying "sorry boy, but without a Quirk you can't" because to be fair, even with a Quirk there is no guarantee that nobody will accept him as a hero. Hitoshi Shinsho? A character whose power is to control the minds of others, was seen in a bad way by society and considered a villain (how convenient for the spectators of the sports festival to change their minds, eh?).
Anyway, what I'm going to is ... well, at least I think, that All Migth was ashamed of his past as Quirkless. Why? Well, because maybe the same thing happened to Izuku, maybe not in the sense of bullying, but he must have felt that he was worth nothing without a Quirk and that his dream of becoming a pillar for society was impossible without a power. And it is possible that, because of that, once he received Nana's One for All, he decided to forget about his origins so he would not have to think about the days when he was just a nobody. And seeing Izuku as a Quirkless, he thought back to the times when he was the same and it made him bitter. What do you think? Should a scene be put between him and Gran Torino in which the latter reproaches him for his behavior, claiming his former status as Quirkless and saying that his inner shame clouded his judgment?
Answer: That does make sense, All Might does seem to be the kind of person to choose to abandon his past in order to hold a better mentality with his life. It doesn't excuse his behavior however, given how that kind of talk leads to suicide jumpers. As for the request, I will have to think about it, mostly because only All Might and Izuku know. Making either or spill about that day has to be done reasonably.
Undermaxer: Keep up the good work!
And i also have two questions:
you think that Izuku could have won against Muscular without using 1,000,000% of his power and really damaging his arms?
2. What was the most shocking moment for you in MHA?
Answers:
1: Potentially, Muscular was pretty much pure Endurance and Regeneration, but can clearly take only so much damage in the end. However the only way Izuku would have won was 1: Kota wasn't there, given that Muscular could have gone for him at any moment and 2: That Izuku held the speed advantage over all and would have to be conesective with his strikes.
2: Honestly, nothing really so far. I've seen and read too many Marvel and DC things, not to mention Anime, so I'm used to seeing things coming.
