Power Rangers: Disney Force 2
Chapter 7
The Rangers were getting ready to leave school for the Summer Holidays.
"A summer" signed Jack as the group left school grounds "no school, no homework just three fun filled months of sleeping in, hanging with your best buds and doing the same thing every day".
"You forgot training under a wizard, searching for lost heroes and fighting against the armies of darkness" Fei reminded causing Jack to pout.
"You all right Leo?" asked James noticing the Red Disney Ranger looking to the ground.
"Fine, just thinking about this weird dream I had last night" replied Leo "it was in the jungle and a mandril was trying to get me to follow it".
"Rangers hear me" came Yen Sid telepathic call "I must send you immediately to Africa, a powerful essence has awakened in that part of the world".
"Right master" said Leo as the Rangers moved down an alley to avoid detection "any idea on who this essence is".
"I believe it may be the spirit of someone who will want to meet you Leo" their mentor replied cryptically before they disappeared in their respective columns of light.
At the Dark Fortress Hades had sensed the essence and was not happy.
"We cannot let the Rangers find him" he declared with emphasis.
"This essence is a spirit" said Gaston "can't you just snap your fingers and send it straight to Hell" he reasoned.
"If it was a normal or dark spirit easy peasy" said Hades getting off his throne "but this particular spirit is very strong and protected by good magic, meaning I can't touch him".
"Then if you can't get rid of him why not just make sure he's never found" said La raising her staff and summoned an essence "I believe you all remember this one".
Hades blasted the essence with his fire and soon a new creature was born.
The monster was dressed in black robes of African royalty and wore a crown like head dress,
at its waist was what looked to be an all-black version of Leo's sword, and its face was that of a dark furred lion with a scar across the left eye.
"I am Jeuri (Swahili for Tyrant)" he roared earning a smirk from Hades.
The Rangers had just arrived in Africa and looked around "it's so beautiful" whispered Jessica as she took in the magnificent savannah.
The Rangers soon summoned the Disney/Chaos Racers and raced across the plains in search of the essence.
"So, whose essence are we looking for exactly?" asked Theo.
"Yen Sid said that this spirit was one of the wisest and most powerful rulers in all of Disney" said Fei "someone that Leo or I suppose rather Simba is connected to".
"Maybe this has something to do with my dream" thought Leo when suddenly they were blasted off the Racers and saw Gaston, Facilier, Hook, La, Jeuri and the skeleton troopers standing before them.
"It's Morphin time" cried Leo, Connor and Fei as the Rangers got to their feet.
"Disney/Chaos Power, Ranger Power Ha" they cried donning their Armor.
"Crush them" ordered Gaston running at Leo, only for Jeuri to push him away.
"This one's mine" the Lion Monster declared drawing his version of the sword of Kings: The Sword of Tyrants.
"What the…" Leo spluttered in shock at the sight of the blade, only just raising his own to counter the strike headed at him.
"How long I have waited for this moment Simba" Jeuri whispered "tonight we shall finally decide who the true king is".
"What…who are you?" demanded Leo as he pushed back against Jeuri.
"Your doom" the Lion monster roared breaking the blade lock and began hacking at the Red Ranger.
Gaston narrowed his eyes at the Monster duelling his rival "If that mangy cat thinks it can steal my trophy he's got another thing coming" he thought as he crossed swords with Fei.
The other Rangers paired off in their own battles James vs Facilier, Jack vs Hook, Melody and Jessie vs La and Jessica and the Chaos Rangers vs the Skeletal warriors.
Leo soon found himself being driven back by Jeuri to the edge of a cliff.
"You have Simba's courage ranger" said Jeuri raising his sword "but not much else" he declared.
"NECRO ECHO" he roared summoning a dark red energy construct of a roaring Lion and sent it at Leo.
"Aaaahhhh" cried Leo as he fell from the cliff into the river below.
"LEO" cried Jessica in terror at the sight of her boyfriend falling, abandoning her fight to run to the cliff's edge.
"Well now that's that sorted let us be off" said Jeuri walking past the Rangers to the other villains.
"But the Rangers" said La "they must be destroyed" she declared only for Jeuri to stick his nose in the air.
"I agreed to help Hades keep the essence out of their hands in exchange for a kingdom of my own to rule" he declared "and with the Red Ranger dealt with id say I've done my part, so lets go shopping for my new palace" he demanded walking past Gaston who had a look of fury on his face.
"I'll have a lion's head on my wall one way or the other" he vowed silently to himself as he and his fellow generals followed Jeuri.
"What are we gonna do?" whispered Vanessa as the remaining Rangers exchanged looks, none having an answer.
A little way down the River Leo had managed to pull himself above the water and had made his way to the shore before collapsing from exhaustion.
Soon he sensed he was not alone and looked up and saw watching him from a nearby tree was an old mandrill.
