By the time the sun was lowering into the sea, Toothless had finally managed to find a little island and softly land as Hicca had fallen asleep on his back.

Carefully he shifted his body around so Hicca would slide off of him. The powerful dragon faced his rider and crooned in worry and sadness as he wanted so desperately what had happened to his girl that caused her to sob to the point of passing out.

Taking a deep sniff of her, all he could smell was her sire on her. She no longer smelt of fresh grass and flowers with a hint of metal from working in something called a "forge" all day.

What had her sire done to her to rid her of her delicious and amazing scent and destroy her happiness and make her so scared and sad? Toothless would just have to wait for his rider to feel ready to talk and explain. Till then, he'd watch over her and keep her safe.

Hicca had arrived home before her father had as usual and began to make use of herself and begin to cook them supper as the food in the Great Hall wouldn't be enough to satisfy her large fathers just as large appetite.

As she was setting down a plate and mug and utensils with food, the door to their house banged open and revealed a very drunk Stoick. Hicca was used to this, so she just greeted her father and told him she had made stew for supper.

She was startled when her father walked towards her and actually talked to her. Hicca couldn't recall the last time they had spoken in their house in peace. But she soon realized he wasn't speaking to her.

"Oh my beautiful Val" Stoick said with a drunk slur as he cupped Hicca's cheek and rubbed his thumb across her pale and smooth skin. Hicca shivered at the touch, not liking it one bit. It was wrong. In any other situation, she would have relished in it, but not now. Her father didn't see his little girl before him and didn't see he was caressing her cheek and instead was seeing his beloved wife who had died when Hicca was a wee babe.

Hicca began to tremble as her fathers large hand reached behind her head to hold her in place. "Oh my sweet, beautiful Val… I miss you so much." Hicca opened her mouth to tell her dad that she wasn't her mother and was in fact his daughter who he was talking to. But before any words could escape her mouth, Stoick had leaned down far too quickly and placed his lips against hers, making Hicca freeze and eyes widen.

Her father was kissing her, unintentionally stealing her first ever kiss.

And she was terrified.

Squirming and pushing against the large mans chest, Hicca flailed in an attempt to escape this nightmare. To get away from the man she thought she could trust to never try such a thing to her.

"DAD! It's me! Your daughter!" Hicca exclaimed in fear once she managed to free herself from him slightly. But her freedom didn't last as Stoick quickly reached forward and spun Hicca around and pushed her against the table, causing the plate and mug to clatter to the ground.

The chief of Berk obviously had either ignored or not acknowledged her protest in his drunken state as he leaned over her and spoke into her ear "I've missed your sweet touch… I miss every. Last. part of you."

He quickly grabbed her skirt and leggings and underwear and yanked them down her body roughly and yanked her top up, making Hicca scream. She didn't want this. She was terrified. Her father was about to rape her without even knowing and most likely would forget about it once the alcohol left his senses.

Hearing him reach back and begin to undo his buckle and pull his own pants down, Hicca screamed bloody murder.

"DAD STOP!" She screamed and by some pure luck, someone had been walking by and had heard her terror filled scream.

As quick as their legs could carry them, Asher Hofferson bolted for the Haddock household after screaming for Gobber or Spitelout or one of the other adults to come quickly.

Hicca sobbed and thrashed as her father was about to take her virginity, and gasped when she felt his weight press up against her though it wasn't to do as he had planned. He had been punched and was quickly pulled away from the trembling more than a leaf girl who was frozen in fear.

Hicca only snapped out of her frozen and fear filled state when more footsteps reached her ears and shouts and a hand resting on her shoulder. She looked over timidly and was greeted by Gobber the Belch, her mentor and best friend and father figure. Although he was talking, Hicca couldn't hear a word he spoke as her eyes rolled into the back of her head as she collapsed though was caught by the one armed man who carried her away to his own hut and gently laid her down on a spare bed he had made for her for when she didn't want to sleep at home after something going down with Stoick or when she was too exhausted to climb the hill up to her home

Though when he would return with an extra blanket for the girl who was basically his daughter, Gobber was filled with fear as he saw the bed empty and no signs of Hicca anywhere.

Hicca jolted awake with a gasp as tears rolled down her eyes like a waterfall. She panted and observed her surroundings, only to find that all she could see was black, black, and even more black. The only comfort she was given that she was safe and away from everything was a warm scaly body holding her securely and a steady and calm heartbeat and calm breathing.

Toothless opened his eyes and looked down at his scared and sad human. He released her from his hold so he could nuzzle her and lick her cheek in comfort. Immediately Hicca flung her arms around his neck and buried her face in his scales and sobbed once again. The drake wrapped his tail and around Hicca and held her close as he purred to comfort her.

When sobbing turned to sniffling to deep breathing, Hicca sat back and pulled her knees up to her chest and rocked back and forth. Toothless crooned and wrapped himself around his little human and nuzzled her in comfort. And it worked.

Sniffling, Hicca placed a hand on Toothless's snout. "Could… Could you help me get a fire started? As well as some food? Not much though…" Nuzzling her and giving a final gentle lick to her tear stained cheek, Toothless backed away so she could stand and begin to walk to the forest as they were on the beach on the island.

Hicca gathered some twigs and branches, making sure they were dry as well as some rocks to form a circle for the pit with Toothless then walked back to the beach and got the pit ready, now just needing Toothless to light it, and when he shot a small plasma blast, Hicca smiled for the first time "thank you bud…" her frown disappeared. "But never mind on the food. 'm not hungry." when the drake scowled at her for skipping a meal, Hicca sighed "don't worry, sweetie. I'll eat in the morning. For now, let's warm up and sleep, okay?"

Nodding in approval, Toothless wrapped his tail around Hicca and allowed her to lean against her body as she used both his own body heat and the heat from the fire to warm up her body from the tips of her toes to the tip of her nose.

As hard as she tried, she could not will her body to sleep. She was too scared to sleep for she knew she'd be welcome to the world of nightmares… to be brought back to the last memory she had on Berk.

To her father nearly raping her…

Hicca took a shuddering breath and curled up closer to the only being she trusted with her life.
