AN: I'd been watching some clips of Transformers Prime and Justice League Unlimited and for some reason, this story just popped up into my head. I just couldn't let it go, so I decided to at least upload this story so that it's there for when I decide to work on it and make the magic happen. I'm gonna need to talk to fellow fanfiction author The Incredible Muffin (yes, that is their author name.) about the proceedings for writing this story. But for now, I hope you enjoy this little prolog chapter that I've written for you all.

Jack's Depression
Jackson Darby looked out over the city with a dead look in his eyes.
It had been a month after the war for Cybertron, the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons, and things had begun to go downhill for Jack rather quickly in that time. First when he and his friends, Miko and Raf, were back in school these two maniacs busted in and started shooting up the place just for the hell of it! Students went into a panic as the two men armed with a rifle in each arm started busting into any room that wasn't locked, and even the ones that were, and started shooting as many students as they could! Police arrived quickly, but by the time they had managed to taze and arrest the two men it was too late. One hundred and fifty-five students had suffered serious injuries dur to gunshot wounds while another thirty-seven were killed.
Among them were Miko and Raf.
Raf had managed to sneak out of the classroom and call the police to tell them what was happening but was shot in the head before he could get back to the relative safety of the classroom. Miko herself went down in true Wrecker fashion and would have made Bulkhead and Wheeljack proud as she used her limited martial arts training and a mop that the janitor left behind after making his rounds the previous night to hold off the shooters long enough for everyone to rush outside to safety. When police recovered her body, it was riddled with bullet holes and barely recognizable.
Jack had cried himself to sleep every night after that incident, convinced that it was his fault for not doing anything that could have helped even though his mother, June, kept telling him otherwise. But that wasn't even the worst thing to happen. A week later, Jack had received terrible news from Agent Fowler. June had been ambushed on her way to the hospital where she worked! By remnants of the terrorist group, M.E.C.H.! Each of the men had taken turns raping June before they mutilated her and finally ended her life by putting a bullet through her head!
If Jack's psyche was damaged before, then this news had utterly shattered it.
Jack had arranged for the remains of his mother, along with Miko, Raf, and their families, who had also been ambushed and killed by M.E.C.H. remnants, to be cremated and put into urns that he put into a tomb that he constructed by hand. He laid down every piece of stone that made up the tomb, from each piece of the floor to every wall. It wasn't anything fancy by any means, but it was functional at least.
At least they'd have a good resting place… but Jack felt he was undeserving of such an honor.
Let alone deserving of the life he was given.
And so, he found his way to the top of the tallest building he could find and was ready to end it all.
As he looked out over his former home one last time, the thought about all the good times he and the others had in the past before their demise. Meeting Arcee and the Autobots. Their many battles against the Decepticons. Even helping the Autobots defeat Megatron and his Decepticons in the final battle for the Omega Lock, stopping the cyberforming of the Earth and allowing the Autobots to use the Omega Lock to restore Cybertron. How is it that everything in his life could go so far downhill so fast after so many good times?
"Just a little longer, Mom… Raf… Miko… I'm on my way." Jack mumbled.
He leaned forward and allowed gravity to take hold as he began to plummet to his doom. He felt at peace knowing that he would soon be reunited with the people he loved. No longer would he have to live through the pain and depression that seemed to follow him everywhere he went because of that war. He doesn't regret helping Optimus and the others take down the Decepticons, but if there's anything that he does regret…
It's that he chose to take the coward's way out.
"IT IS NOT YOUR TIME, JACKSON DARBY." echoed a distorted voice.
It startled Jack so much that his eyes snapped open just in time to see a swirly blue vortex open up beneath him. If he didn't know any better, he'd think that it was a ground/space bridge. But that shouldn't be possible! The Autobots and Decepticons were no longer on Earth and any trace of the technology used by them was dismantled and destroyed by Fowler and the government in order to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands!
All Jack could do was make a noise of shock as he fell into the vortex, and it closed behind him. The last thing he heard before blacking out was that same voice telling him…
"ANOTHER WORLD NEEDS YOU, JACKSON DARBY. THEY NEED YOU TO LEAD A NEW GENERATION OF PREDACONS, AND TO PREVENT HUMANITY'S EXTINCTION."
Something tells me that the creator of the Cybertronians, Primus, has plans for Jack. But what these plans could be are anyone's guess.
