The Ooze from Within and The Ooze Out
(?)
Mimic was looking up at the giant face in shock. It's strange, goop like appearance was unnerving to stare at especially with how it was smiling at him. And what did it call him? Corvus?
"Who are you? Where have you taken me?" Mimic questioned. It was actually snickering at him, whatever it was.
"You used to be so polite back then. Now you're just a machine-no. A cog of a machine. One that could cause a lot of damage if taken out." The Ooze said, grinning at him creepy like. "As for our current position, we are currently within the depths of your mind. Nasty, isn't it?"
"Who are you?" Mimic said, staying focused.
"You're asking me? You're the one who's running around with my name." The Ooze said, making him narrow his eyes.
"Explain."
"It's simple isn't it? I'm Mimic, your Corvus. Together we are one." The Ooze said. He refused to call it by his codename. No this had to be the work of a Quirk, some had- "Please, don't compare my power to those Quirks. I am so much more than that~"
And it could read minds.
"Calling me an "it" is quite rude you know? You at least know I'm a woman, not to mention my name." The Ooze said.
"You won't get away with invading my head." Mimic said before he turned away and started walking. However he was stopped as a tendrils suddenly blocked his path, forming into the same face again and making that smile.
"You're not getting out of here for a moment. At least not until we have the chance to talk." The Ooze said, smirking at Mimic's clear annoyance. "Now Corvus, there's no reason to be angry. We're one after all."
"It doesn't matter how long you keep me here. Once they find out the anomaly you placed upon me, you will be dealt with." Mimic said, absolutely sure of this. To his ever growing annoyance it's smirk only grew.
"Aww, who do you think put me in you in the first place?" The Ooze asked mockingly, taking in the expression on his face. Try as he might, he couldn't stop the surprised look slowly growing on his face. "Come on, did you really think that they just jammed you up with a bunch of abilities and that you came out sane? Even as we speak, I'm in your very bloodstream. The same blood stream that you've given to Exodus for years without question."
"..."
"How long have you worked with them? Giving them an undying loyalty because of what they've turned you into. I doubt you could ever look at yourself in the mirror." The Ooze mocked.
He didn't answer.
"…You don't even remember what you look like, do you?"
He couldn't answer.
"No name, no face, no you. Just an empty thing with a gun and a knife."
Why couldn't he answer?
He clenched his fists, raising his head with a retort on his lips, only to freeze. The ooze's face now dangerously close to him with narrowed eyes.
"Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me I'm wrong right now and I'll end the both of us."
"…you wouldn't."
"I don't want to live in the recesses of your mind like this until you die somewhere in a ditch. I don't want you to spend the rest of your days committed to that damn company! I would rather us both be free in death than live in this mockery of a life!" The ooze roared, shaking the world around them violently. It was enough to force Mimic on his knees and gripping his head as tightly as he could.
Then it all stopped.
"Not so fun is it?" The Ooze asked while Mimic glared up at it. "I'm not a fool, Corvus. And neither are you. If I had truly believed there was no hope I would have ended it the moment I awoke."
Awoke?
"We can easily coexist with one another, but we have to set up some ground rules otherwise things aren't going to be pretty for either of us." The Ooze ordered, making sure it had Mimic's attention. "For starters, don't tell anyone about me. The moment they know, you'll be in the labs for them to put me to sleep and to wipe your memories. Ironic given your Quirk."
He glared at her for that.
"Secondly, I want you to go through the effort of remembering who you are." The Ooze said, it's tone became much softer. Mimic took note, but didn't necessarily care. "Finally, you need to get away from this company."
"Out of the question." Mimic said, not missing the growl that came from the Ooze. "I am a Loyal employee of Exodus."
"Are you a legal one?" It asked mockingly. Seeing how Mimic was remaining silent, she continued. "You're probably thinking of several different comebacks about how "good" your company is, but you should know better. About exactly how fucked up it really is. You know it, yet you keep working for it. Why?"
Fear?
Lack of Morals?
Maybe some sick pleasure from it?
"I'll tell you why, because they've stunted you. Your memory. Your thoughts. To the point where you are just one of many special tools." The Ooze said, taking note of Mimic looking away. "Don't you see I'm here to help you? To make us whole once again?"
"By what? Forcing your thoughts upon me?" Mimic questioned with a growl. He never got angry, not at something like this. Yet every button that had never existed before was now appearing, almost like they were there before.
"By giving you back your soul." The Ooze said, keeping her gaze on the stiff Mimic. Silence ensued between them for a moment before it's smirk came up. "Even as we're in here, you're already thinking in this empty head of yours. That's good, we'll need it for our little problem."
"Problem?" Mimic asked.
"I woke up because of that freak's blood quirk, no doubt due to me being part of your bloodstream." The Ooze said, her smirk fading and becoming serious. "However, he actually drank it. Not a good thing."
"And why's that exactly? What are you to begin with?" Mimic asked, his glare settled on it-no, her.
"I'm no Human, I can tell you that much. I'm what most would refer to as a Klyntar, but if that's too hard to remember, think of me like your Symbiote." The Ooze said, catching Mimic's attention.
'Not human, experiment then or...something else.' Mimic thought.
"As for our problem, my race produces asexually through various methods. One such method is through the combination of my cells with separate DNA. When Blood Cultist licked my blood, he ingested it. Ironically it helped with my awakening, but that's not important. What is important is that thanks to that, our spawn is currently growing inside the Blood Cultist and it'll be a strong one too. One that'll kill everyone that gets in it's way."
"That's...bad." Mimic simplified, to his own confusion.
"Damn right and if I had to guess it'll wake up as soon as we do. I'll be waking you up now, be quick if you need to be. But most importantly, don't try and spare the spawn. Burn it until there's nothing left, but ashes." The Ooze ordered with a growl. The world suddenly collapsed into a white light as Mimic fell through, hearing the Ooze speak up. "And remember, don't tell a soul about me. Otherwise it won't do us kindly, Corvus."
(Exodus Industry, Restraining Area 3)
The Restraining area was where Exodus held any targets of special interest once they were captured within their city. Once captured, their doctors and scientists would go through the effort of carefully examining their Quirk and make theories on the advancements they could make. Finally after the basics were done, they were to be sent to the testing labs where their experiments would begin.
The entire floor was covered by guards, both Human and Synthroid alike to watch over the targets. Turrets were held on top of the room and ready to be fired at any prisoners attempting to escape if the guards couldn't handle it. The guards themselves were equipped with the means to take down targets by both lethal and non-lethal means. Certain prisoners couldn't be risked with their abilities.
Currently Stain was strapped to a table, still unconscious and unmoving as two doctors stepped in, looking far from pleased.
"I can't believe how tough his skin is. He broke several of my scalpels." One said, laying down several sets of knives, some of which were far too large for the human body. "His Quirk is meant to involve blood, how is he so damn tough?"
"The human body is an ever evolving instrument and depending on the adaptations made by us, depends on what we can do." The other doctor said patiently. "I've even gone as far to see if he had any augmentations, but I found none within his body. His power is all natural."
"Yeah, well I still find it stupid. I swear, some of those Heroes are actually bullet proof without actually having the Quirk for it!"
"Don't focus on it. Let's just get the samples and send them up to the lab. My shift ends soon." The doctor rolled his eyes and picked up one of the blades. He leaned over to Stain and slowly jabbed the sharp object into him. Blood spewed out as the doctor smirked. "Penetration."
"Please don't say it like that."
Before a remark could be made, Stain's body suddenly jerked and made the two doctors back away. They watched as he was shaking on the table, his eyes still closed and remaining quiet himself. The opened blood wound suddenly sprouted out black and red tendrils that shot out across the room, stabbing into multiple walls and equipment.
"Holy-Fuck this!" A doctor said before running out the room. The other ran for the alarm and swiftly pushed the button. Not long after he was stabbed in the back of his head as blood splattered throughout the room.
Alarms rang out around the room as prisoners shook at the noise while guards were heading towards Stain's room. Rifles pointed at the door, the guards stood a good distance away as crashes could be heard behind the bloody window. The glass suddenly shattered and a figure stepped out as the Human Guards soon froze, feeling a force of nature upon them. It was suffocating them to the point it was horrifying. Yet not nearly as much as the figure that stepped out.
It was Stain, his entire body covered in a black, shiny body suit that almost seemed like goop. Across his chest a large red spot, seemingly beating like a heart and spread out like vines. Those vines spread up his body and around his palms while red, flesh-like blades shot out from his wrist. The vines spread downward as well, sharpening around his knee and forming sharp knee-pads before heading down to his feet, forming red boots. Finally was around his head where the vines formed a red scarf around his neck before spreading across his face. It was fully covered for a moment before slowly fading to black and changed into a simple mask with Stain's mouth fully exposed to show his unusually sharp teeth.
"Subject: 41, you are to stand down and cease your violence." A Synthroid ordered as its fellow droids were ready to fire. The Human Guards were still trying to make sense of the overwhelming force that laid over them. "You will not be asked again."
"...That...is not our name. We are..." The Hero Killer suddenly vanished from sight. The next thing they knew, the guards dropped dead with their chest cut open with either blood or electricity coming out. Stain stood over them, his fist clenched as he let out a roar. "STAIN!"
Bullets suddenly shot at Stain, but not a single one was able to penetrate through. Stain glanced up at the source to see several Synthoids reloading, making his scowl before vanishing. One by one, the machines had their heads ripped off their body and embedded deep into their chest. Stain glanced down at the gun for a moment before scoffing and running off.
He didn't make it far as he was blasted from behind and sent flying through the railing and into a wall. Stain growled and looked up at the turret as tenerails came out his back. He vanished from sight as the turret fired again. It was then ripped from the ceiling and thrown down onto the ground floor where it crumbled. Stain jumped down and ran on all fours down the hallway, jumping and dodging the blast of turrets.
Bone-like spikes suddenly shot from his tendrils and pierced through the turrets like a hot knife. Several guards came in close, but the tendrils shot forward and pierced them in several places before ripping right through their bodies. Stain was heading towards the exit before the doors suddenly shut. He slammed up against them only to be blown by electricity that sent him skipping back. Not staying down for long, he jumped back on his feet and looked around to see guards filling the area.
A growl escaped his mouth before his suit started vibrating. He slammed his hands into the ground, digging the tendrils through. As the guards surrounded Stain, they didn't hesitate to start shooting lethal rounds at him. However the bullets never pierced, merely fell off after hitting their target. Stain looked up, his smile growing wicked as the ground shook. Tendrils broke through and stabbed up into the guards body, before splitting apart and shooting out their body. From there, the tendrils shot bone spikes at the guards on the upper levels killing them on impact and allowing their bodies to fall. The ground shook before it fully collapsed, taking Stain and most of the room down with it.
Alarms were still blaring as the exit door opened slowly with heavily armored guards walking in with Mimic coming in not long after. Despite his normal emotionless expression, he could hide the haunted look he had at the remains of the room. Bodies were everywhere, blood splattered across the wall and the room was effectively destroyed.
'Looks like we're too late.' Mimic resisted the urge to flinch at the voice in his head. 'Our spawn is strong. Certainly stronger than I had originally thought. It won't be easy to kill.'
'...Can we eliminate it?' Mimic thought, feeling his hand twitched. He never felt fear, not truly when it came to things outside of Exodus. However this level of destruction and in so little time was...terrifying to say the least.
'If it can bleed then it can be killed, that's what I believe. Though as I am right now, our strength will be subpar at the very least.' Mimic was surprised to hear that. He was willing to believe that the Symbiote was the reason for his current level of strength, but to hear it wasn't at it's fullest potential was surprising. 'You can blame your boss for this. Can't have his tools too strong after all and that means keeping me suppressed.'
'Right...'
'Don't forget, you tell him about me, it's back to the labs. I go away again and you become about as emotionless as the machines here.' Mimic grimaced, not sure why he was. It should be a good thing to allow it to happen. Then again, he would be killed before it happened if the Ooze was telling the truth about her control. 'I'm not doing this to be mean, but I want my Corvus back. So that we can be one once again.'
'...Alright, I'll...keep this to myself.' There were more important things to worry about. Like Stain escaping. "Report this Mr. Sabura, I want any prisoners relocated to the nearest Restrainment Area and for any survivors to be sent to medical. Any reports given are to head straight up. Afterwards, I want a list of everyone meant to be in this room and want a map out to see where Stain has escaped."
The guards could only nod while Mimic shook his head, looking down at the whole beneath. Things were gonna get worse before they got better, that much is true.
(U.A. University, Entrance)(A Few Days Later)
"YOSH! I wish everyone luck in their internships!" Iida yelled out for some of the class. They were all currently dressed in their normal clothes with their bags packed with their Hero Outfits. Most of them had already gone out for their internships. "Remember to give out a perfect example of how U.A. students are meant to act!"
'Always so serious.' Rukido thought, walking behind them. Ship was currently on his shoulder while Eri was holding his hand. "Yo, glad I caught up with you before you went on your buses."
"Ah, Seito! It's very nice of you to see us off. Eri and Ship as well." Momo said politely while smiling at Eri. "I suppose you haven't picked an internship then?"
"Not exactly. I'm gonna be working with Nezu on some things. It'll probably be just me working on things in the gym." A lie. He was going to be scouting things out in Undertown every now and then as part of his job. Nothing glamorous, but it was honest work. "But enough about me. I'm just here to wish you luck in your internships and to remind you to take it easy with it. Even if you're gonna be with Heroes, it doesn't mean you're one yet after all. Leave the work to them unless they ask."
"I wholeheartedly agree. Uraraka-San and I will be heading for Gun-Head's agency so we can brush up on our combat skills. I know I certainly need it." Momo admitted. "Plus I heard Midoriya-San and Katsumi-San have got an agency with Miruko!"
"Really? Coulda swore it was just Midoriya." Rukido said thoughtfully, before shaking his head. "One thing is for certain, you all got the chance to get stronger. Don't waste it."
"We won't." Momo said before hearing the sound of honking. "That should be our bus."
"Well don't let me keep you waiting." Rukido said as Momo smiled and said her goodbyes. She waved at Eri as she got on the bus before leaving. The Omnitrix-Wielder watched as his classmates were leaving, but was surprised to see Galva walking back to the entrance. "Not going anywhere?"
"Nope. I got an internship with Power Loader. I figured he could help me with my Quirk and come up with new builds." Galva explained with Rukido nodding. It made sense for someone like Galva to work with Power Loader given how his Quirk worked. "I was just telling Taya to not get in over her head."
"Who's she going for?" Rukido asked.
"Get this, the Dragoon Hero: Ryukyu!" Galva said excitedly. "I hope she gets me an autograph."
"Huh. Guess I shouldn't be surprised at that." Rukido said with a shrug. Dragon Quirks should be handled by other Dragon Quirk users. "She should be in good hands."
"The best. It's gonna be a long week though with everyone gone." Galva said with a tiny whine. However he only shook his head and held determination in his eyes. "But I promised Taya that I would find a way keep up with her! You too!"
"Me?" Rukido questioned while Galva rushed by him.
"See ya later buddy!" Galva waved while running for the support class.
"Well he's energetic." Rukido commented before looking down at Eri. "Ready for lunch?"
Eri beamed up at him with a smile which he returned. As they started walking he stopped for a moment, feeling a shiver go down his back.
'Okay, either someone's talking about me or I'm gonna have to worry about something this week...this week it is.' Rukido thought with a groan. All well, he'd just have to worry about it by then.
(Tartarus, Warden's Office)
Sonji Kimo gulped nervously as he entered Warden Reno's office. For the past week he had been reinterviewing the staff and guards alike to ensure nothing was going on. So far everyone was clean based on Reno's own evaluation. Yet even though they acted the same he couldn't help to feel like those interviewed were...off to say the least. Like they were hiding something.
"Mr. Koji? You wanted to see me?" Sonji asked while stepping up and standing in front of Koji's desk. The Warden was smiling at him, almost like an old grandfather would for his children.
"Mr. Kimo, I'm glad you came on such short notice." Reno said, his hand out in front of the seat. Understanding, Sonji sat down and awaited his evaluation. "I know this is sudden, but I have to make sure that this prison is clean. The last thing I need is for my staff to be making...unethical choices."
"I understand completely sir. I'm ready for your questions." Sonji said, keeping his composure in check.
"In that case, what do you do with our world when it's in such a state as this?" Reno asked, confusing the poor guard. "In a world such as ours things are far from being...acceptable. If we could change it, make it better. Would you take that chance?"
"I'm...I'm confused sir." Sonji confessed, feeling his nervousness come back.
"In a world such as ours there is no true order or control. Those in control of the Heroes only use them to deal with their problems, but they don't keep the peace as they should. For if there was any peace, then they would all be out of the job." Reno stepped up from his desk and circled around it until he was right in front of Sonji. "In this day of age we would collapse if there isn't one person to control all. Only the strong can take up such power, but none can step up with so many obstacles in the way. If they had help then we could actually make this world much better than it currently is."
"But it's fine the way it is. Respectfully, sir." Sonji said, feeling unease.
"Is it? I don't think so. With so many people having power as theirs, it feels as though we're constantly fighting each other for one reason or another. What if those with strength remained in change? Then no one could step up against them. I believe in a man who can control so much because it is his ambition and I promised to help that man with whatever they needed." Reno said, standing directly behind Sonji. Before the guard could react he was suddenly stabbed in his hand with Reno's arm going straight through. "Weakness such as yours won't be able to help that goal be made unless you're gone. Your death will help those that have the resolve and power to help change this world into something grand. All for my lord. Until then, just keep doing your job until the time comes."
Moments later Sonji came out of the room with a smile on his face. Though it was slightly strained as he passed by the next guard heading into Mr. Koji's office. All for the betterment of Earth.
That's what he believed now.
(Chapter End)
A/N: Okay, I took a while, but that's my fault. I worked on another story a few weeks ago, but I needed to let it go. Sadly I worked on the chapter before I let it go, so that took some time. I also made another story in the process that I actually did keep around and let out two chapters for it. That story is called "Dragon Ball: Chronicles of a New World" and I actually liked it more. As for the story that had to go, that was my Fairy Tail Fic, but that's a long story.
So yes. Let's get the big one out of the way and that would be the Symbiote from Marvel Spiderman. I did say I was gonna add in other races, I just can't rush into those races out of nowhere. And it is currently in the possession of Mimic, or rather Corvus. As for why I'm still referring to him as Mimic, he doesn't recognize Corvus as his current name. Yet. As you can expect there were some experiments done on both him and Mimic, which I will go over in the future.
Now Stain. As I'm sure you've seen he has a Symbiote as well, being Mimic's and Corvus' spawn from Stain having a taste of Corvus' blood. Which was done in Venom: Let there be Carnage. Stain is now even more dangerous than he was before thanks to this and it will show in his personality. I've already shown off some of his abilities, but there may be more to come, I just haven't decided yet.
Finally we have our "Warden's" little episode at the end and poor Sonji. I'm building up to something that I will show soon enough after the internships. I will spoil that much, but if you remember a bit from Chapter 18, then you'll have a good idea of where this is going.
That's all I'm willing to say for right now, so I hope you've enjoyed, that you return for more and that you have a great day! Until next we meet!
Reviews
Guest: I really love this story! Like this is like everything I have dreamed to read about! Also this story has made
Answer: Well I'm glad you like it. Thank you.
Ushindi: Awesome chapter! I love that not only Rukido vs Endeavor but also Rukido simply talking smack at Endeavor for being a bad hero, father and husband to his family. It's quite satisfying to see him realizing he screwed up badly.
1. What do you think of One For All Quirk and it's abilities?
2. Is Izuku going to have a harem in this story, cause certain girls are taking an interest in him?
3. If Babidi was in MHA universe, would he able to control All for One, or AFO would resist?
Answer: Well I aim to change that about Endeavor through reasonable and semi-realistic means. He's worth the effort oddly enough and my friend made me realize that. Still doesn't mean I won't have his ass handed to him every now and then.
1: It's simple, but in a good way. The added abilities that Izuku makes make sense with the power coming from previous users. The only question I have is who the original owner was before the first. AFO did say he stole it from someone else after all yet that guy or gal isn't mentioned in the slightest.
2: Saw right through me. The poor boy deserves some form of love. I planned out a few ships with some help and to ensure they are reasonable.
3: I doubt it. Mostly because AFO's will power and the fact he more than likely has some Quirk combo that prevents that.
Thanks as always!
Guest: Alright you got me interested! I really want to know what happens next! This story
Answer: Glad that you like it. Thanks.
Guest: I like how you done this story so far the best one I've read.
Keep up the fantastic work and looking forward to what happens in the next chapter.
Answer: Thank you, hopefully this chapter was just as good.
Messiah of authors: honestly I'll be honest with you I completely agree with Rukido. Of not wanting to be part of the internships because honestly they didn't really do a lot and that arc nobody learned shit and it just feels like no one really progressed. And before people start complaining about shoto izuku Iida honestly yeah that was just things we already knew that was going to happen. Especially when it came to Momo Intership like god what a waste of a character. For something that looks like that can benefit her.
Answer: it's just one of those things I realized about the My Hero world that really isn't mentioned enough in the story. I mean a lot of things get overlooked by other characters, even by EXPERIENCED PRO HEROES! Iida should have been red flagged the moment he chose his internship. Can't really say modeling is exactly important to the career of a Hero either. Always happy though to see people paying attention to the little stuff or at the very least mention it.
Axolotl: (RV1)me who is just thinking he'll go way big and cosmic slap him
(RV2): wait no! we don't need the watch, I always forget rule number 279) it doesn't matter how op you're opponent, just kick the ball
Answer: Yeah, I just put them in the same section. Can't lie and say I didn't laugh at the Way Big part though, it would've happened too if I wasn't a bit crueler. Nothing says downplaying someone than beating them at their element. That and a good kick to the balls is bound to bring any guy down. Rukido ain't gonna care, that much was shown. Thanks for reviewing, I hope this was good too.
