Chapter 2.
Ochaco confronts Mina and Toru when they come back to help finish cleaning up without Deku.
"What did you guys do to Deku? Where is he?", she whispers.
"We just wanted to talk to him about something ", Toru snickers.
"Don't worry Ochaco we just wanted to talk to him about… um working on some combat train together, that's it!" Ashido exclaims.
"Combat training? Well where is he then?" Ochaco asked questioningly.
Mina gets a mischievous look on her face.
"Of course you want to know where he is! So you guys can kiss under the mistletoe '', she says a little loudly, making kissing faces at Ochaco and she's laughing like she just said the funniest joke in the world.
Ochaco turns bright red. Hagakure joins in making kissing faces at Ochaco and laughing really hard.
"N-n-no that's not it at all" Ochaco shouts.
"I know I know I'm just messing with you. Don't be a party pooper", Mina says teasingly. "We're going to finish cleaning up".
With that they walk away to help some of the other students.
"I know she didn't talk to him about combat training," Ochaco says to herself. "I'm not stupid".
Then what could it be? Hopefully she didn't tell him anything private or embarrassing about me. Ever since Mina figured out I had a crush on Deku she's made it her mission to tease and hint at it at every chance she got. Sometimes I hate it but I know Mina doesn't have any bad intentions. I just wish she would mind her own business sometimes.
She throws some gift wrap in the trash as her mind trails off to her best friend, Deku. She looks down at the little All Might keychain that he brought for the gift exchange.
What were the chances that they would pick each other's gifts? I wish I could afford a better gift than a bag of mochi. Deku seemed happy with it but was he just being nice so I wouldn't be sad? I for one was ecstatic to have gotten his All Might keychain. It even smelt like him a little bit.
"I'll treasure it forever", she says to herself.
Iida interrupts her thoughts, "Thanks everyone for a marvelous Christmas party! Now that everything is cleaned up and back in order you're free to enjoy the rest of your evenings! Everyone is dismissed!" he exclaims while waving his arms around.
Ochaco's closest girl friend Tsu approaches her, "Hey Ochaco, what are you doing for your birthday Friday, ribbit?" she asks.
Ah crap, did she really forget her own birthday?
"Ribbit? you forgot about it didn't you?" Tsu asks, looking at her friend sadly.
"Not intentionally! I guess things have been so intense with exams, villains and work studies it's hard to even remember to eat some days and I guess I've been distracted by something lately", Ochaco says and with the last part she starts to blush a little.
Ochaco immediately slaps her face to try to get herself back together which startles Tsu but Ochaco suddenly runs off before she can say anything else.
"I gotta stop running off everytime i get flustered", she says, running at full sprint.
She can hear Iida yelling at her to not run in the halls. She ignores him and doesn't stop till she's in her room.
