Chapter 11: Dib has Feelings
Dib let out a sigh as he laid on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. He didn't want to do anything today, he just lacked the energy. Every day something happened, it usually had something to do with Zim. His face heated up as he thought about that college tour he went to. People really thought Zim was his boyfriend, did everyone at school think the same thing? The thought couldn't get out of his mind.
Sure he liked Zim, he's his best friend. The only person who actually listens to him and hangs out with him. There was Gaz too but she was... Gaz, she had her own interests and once in a while would listen to his ramblings. He has been working on that.
Zim on the other hand he could go on for hours about his inventions, himself, just anything he's into, and Dib couldn't help but listen and... He... Enjoys it?
The teen covered his face with a pillow, groaning into it. He did like Zim like that, didn't he? He wasn't going to risk their friendship over it though. The alien was still recovering from the betrayal he received from his own people. Thinking about it now, Zim has been going to him a lot more lately to show off his projects as he did for his Tallest. Zim did have a habit of just avoiding his problems. He doesn't talk about it, the closest they've talked about it was at the College tour. It made his heartache seeing how affected Zim was about this.
A tapping on his window caused him to lower the pillow, seeing said alien at his window. Nice to know he wasn't just breaking into his room anymore, he really didn't like cleaning up window shards. He sat up and opened the window letting the smug-looking alien come into his room.
"Dib-Beast! Prepare yourself for Zim's newest invention!" Zim declared taking out a lasergun from his pak. "No longer will the snow block Zim's house with my Meltinator!" Zim cackled.
Dib was already concerned when he saw the laser gun and even more so at the name. "Did you test it?" He asked causing the alien to tsk.
"Of course I have! Zim is no fool! YOU LIE!" He shouted.
Dib couldn't help but chuckle as the alien continued.
"Anyway, the snow will have no chance against Zim!" Zim declared before pointing the gun out the window, zapping at the street. As Zim said it got rid of the snow, but it also got rid of the concrete.
Dib had a blank expression on his face. "This was your test, wasn't it?" He stated as he looked out the window at the damage with Zim.
Zim coughed nervously and threw his gun behind him. "I hated that street anyway, it was all according to plan!" Zim defended himself from obviously not doing tests with his projects.
The teen sighed shaking his head though a small smile appeared on his face, he couldn't stop himself from finding the alien cute. He really does have feelings for the alien, doesn't he?
