"Where should we go first?" Ϗai asked,
"The best place is the beach down south, so… this way!" Emma started walking, and Ϗai followed behind,
"So have you been here often?"
"Only once a month, for a little get away with my mom," They walked the length of the peninsula, staying near the western side. After some walking, a pokemon jumped out of the grass, and Emma used her pokedex,
"Fletchinder, the Ember pokemon. A Fire and Flying type pokemon. This pokemon is very territorial, and will not tolerate other pokemon entering it's many mile territory,"
"Wow, this area is only a few miles wide, so this must be one of the only Fletchinder here!" Emma said, "Well then, Fletchinder, Go! Thievul!" Thievul came out of the pokeball, and pranced towards the Fletchinder. Confused and defensive, the Fletchinder jumped back, giving Thievul the time to attack,
"Use Thief!" The Thievul jumped at the Fletchinder, and the Fletchinder flew up, but not fast enough, as Thievul hit the Fletchinder down. The Fletchinder jumped back up and pecked at the Thievul, who swatted away the bird with ease.
"Go! Pokeball!" Emma threw a Greatball at the pokemon. The ball absorbed the bird pokemon, and fell to the ground. It shook once, twice, and exploded! Out of the ball, the Fletchinder flew away. "Darn, it was so close,"
"Well, let's get to the beach," Ϗai said. They walked more, until they finally made it to the waves crashing on the sand.
"Finally! Some time to relax!" Emma said, "Let's meet back at the beach hut in 2 hours, ok?" But Ϗai was already off,
"I'm gonna go train some more!"
"Oh, Ϗai," Emma went over to the beach hut, changed into swim clothes, and walked down the beach. It was a very fun atmosphere, there were kids and pokemon playing all around her, Slowpoke on the sand, Feebas flying out of the water, and even a Milotic in the distance. But something wasn't right, there was someone on the Milotic.
"Pious! Help me!" It was Kazos, riding on the back of a Milotic. Emma jumped into the water, and swam over to the two buffoons.
"What are you doing?" Emma asked, having to yell to make her voice heard,
"Trying! To! Steal! This! Milotic!" Kazos said, being thrown around.
"Alright, one sec!" Emma had kept her pokeballs with her, so she sent out her Wurmple, "Go! Use Bug Bite!" the Wurmple struggled against the current, but was able to thrust itself towards the Milotic and bite it. The Milotic reeled back, but threw around Kazos even harder.
"It's not working! It's not working! Pious! Do something!" But Pious just stood there in the water.
"What do I do, Kazos?"
"Anything!"
"No! Pious, stay there," Emma said, "Kazos, send out your Dustox!"
"Why?"
"Just do it!"
"Alright, go! Dustox!" out of the ball, Dustox flew, nearly getting hit by Milotic's tail.
"Hey! Dustox! You're gonna have to listen to me!" The Dustox turned away in defiance,
"Listen, I know you don't know me, but your master is in trouble! You need to help him!" The Dustox contemplated, then flew down to Emma.
"There, there, alright! Use Poison Powder on the Milotic!" Dustox flew at the Milotic, and then stopped, flapping its wings and shooting poisonous dust at the Milotic. The Milotic, poisoned, started to calm down.
"It's ok, Milotic, you'll be ok," But the Milotic started to flail around even more, nearly flinging Kazos off,
"Woah! Whatever you did, it didn't work!"
"I see that! Let me think!"
"I don't have time for you to think!" But Emma stood there, and then,
"Wurmple! Use String Shot!" The Wurmple mustered up the strength, and shot a sticky web at the Milotic. The Milotic got tangled, and stopped flailing.
"Dustox, get to Kazos!" The Dustox flew up, and Kazos grabbed on, and was lowered back into the water,
"Thank you for saving me, but don't think this means you've seen the last of us!" Pious and Kazos ran off, down the beach.
'Oh those two, so ungrateful,' Emma thought as she smiled. When she turned around, Wurmple was glowing. She gasped,
"You're evolving!" She said. The Wurmple shifted, becoming smoother and wider. It stopped glowing. She returned the newly evolved pokemon to its pokeball.
"Now, you, Milotic," She threw a pokeball at it, and without any shaking, it was caught,
"Yes! A new member of my team!" She ran back onto the shore, where she found Ϗai, battling another Slowpoke with his,
"Hey, Ϗai!"
"Hey Emma! This battle hasn't gone anywhere, it's been a lot of waiting," Emma laughed, and sent out her two new pokemon,
"Some new pokemon! Did your Wurmple evolve? But it looks different from mine?" Emma grabbed her pokedex and pointed it at the evolved pokemon,
"Silcoon, the Cocoon pokemon. A bug type. Encased in silk, this pokemon hangs from trees, patiently awaiting evolution,"
"So yours evolved into the other one, then?"
"Looks like it!"
"I saw what you did out there, it was great that you decided to save those two idiots," Emma blushed,
"Thanks," She said, looking at the ground. Ϗai finished up his battle with the other Slowpoke, with him winning, and they walked back up the sand, and back to the wild area.
"What an eventful beach day!" Emma said,
"For you," Ϗai said, "Most of my day was spent waiting for a Slowpoke to do something,"
Emma laughed,
"Maybe we'll come back someday,"
"I'd like that," Ϗai said, "Now, to Aurora Lake we go!"
Episode 6: The Legend(ary) of Aurora Lake
"Here it is," Emma said, looking out at the expansive lake. The water was glittering in the sunlight as Barboach and Alomomola swam by. "You know, they say there's a legendary pokemon that lives in the lake,"
"Then let's go!" Ϗai said,
"But, how will we get across?"
"I have an idea,"
Surfing on their Slowpoke, Emma and Ϗai practically flew on the water,
"I didn't know Slowpoke could surf!" Emma said,
"Me neither!"
"Then how-" But Emma was cut off as Ϗai got ahead. After a while, they made it to the center, coming up on a small island. They hopped off of their Slowpoke, and returned them to their pokeballs,
"I wonder what the legendary is," Emma said, looking around the island,
"I think I know!" Ϗai said. Emma turned around, and saw Ϗai face to face with a quadruped legendary pokemon, all blue, with a crest on its head,
"It-it's a Suicune!" Emma said, "Go! Thievul!" At this moment, from behind Suicune, two other legendary pokemon emerged, both similar, but one yellow and one brown,
"I've heard about these three!" Ϗai said, "The legendary beasts, they were revived by Ho-oh when that tower burnt down! We have to catch them! Go! Arcanine!" Arcanine jumped out of his pokeball, and though angry about being in it, he was ready for battle,
"Thievul! Use Foul Play on Suicune!"
"Arcanine! Use Wild Charge on Suicune, too!" Both pokemon ran at the beast, but before they could hit, the other two beasts jumped in front, Entei blocking Thievul and Raikou blocking Arcanine. The pair's pokemon were dazed, but shook it off, and prepared for an attack. The three beasts roared, and Entei attacked Thievul, while Raikou attacked Arcanine, both with bite,
"Arcanine!"
"Thievul!" Thievul stayed down, but Arcanine jumped back up, fire flaring on its body,
"Justified! Dark type moves make Arcanine stronger! Thunder Fang Suicune!" Arcanine charged at the middle beast, but this time, both other beasts blocked Suicune from being hit. Suicune stepped forward, and launched a water beam at Arcanine, knocking him out,
"Return, Arcanine," Arcanine wasn't able to protest going back into the pokeball,
"Go! Silcoon!" Emma yelled from behind Ϗai,
"Alright then, Go! Cascoon!" Both cocoon pokemon flew out of their pokeballs,
"Silcoon! Use Poison Sting on Entei!"
"Cascoon! Use Poison Sting on Raikou!" Cascoon and Silcoon shot poisonous spikes at their respective beats, which weren't able to block them,
"Yes! They're poisoned!" Ϗai yelled. But the fun didn't last long, as Suicune turned around, and jumped into the water,
"It's getting away!" Emma yelled,
"I see that, after it!" But the two remaining beasts moved in front of them.
"Fine, then, Cascoon! Use Bug Bite on Raikou!"
"Silcoon! Poison Sting on Entei!" The two beasts ran at the cocoons, and hit each of them with an attack, knocking them back,
"Don't give up!" Emma yelled,
"Keep going, you two!" Ϗai yelled as well. The two pokemon attacked the two beasts, and the beasts fell back.
"Great job!" Emma and Ϗai said together. Suddenly, both cocoon pokemon began to glow.
"They're already evolving again!" Emma said,
"Amazing!" Ϗai said. As the two pokemon grew, they both grew wings out, and slimmer bodies in between. When they stopped glowing, they were a Dustox and Beautifly.
"Now! Dustox, use-" Ϗai trailed off, as he looked up. The beasts were gone, nowhere to be seen.
"But where'd they go?" Emma asked, also realising they were gone,
"I don't know, but I'm sure we'll see them again!" Ϗai said, smiling, triumphant about their semi-victory. They both surfed back to the mainland, up to the north, with their newly evolved Dustox and Beautifly flying behind them.
"Now, we have to go to the pokemon center, our pokemon are hurt," Emma said. The pair ran towards Aeyssol, up to the North-East or the peninsula. When they got there, they marveled at the tall buildings, but made their way to the pokemon center, right on the outskirts of the city.
"There, your pokemon are all healed up now, have a great journey!" They walked out of the pokemon center, the sun setting.
"Yet another great day!" Ϗai said, stretching his arms,
"Yeah, I heard there was a hotel right next to the mayor's skyscraper," They walked through the small city. Though the buildings were tall, they were nothing compared to Naphias skyscrapers. The city was fairly small, with old dirt roads going through it. It seemed as if the tall buildings were made on top of an old town, and the roads hadn't been built yet. They walked through the entirety of the city, with Arcanine behind them, and they made it to the other side, where the mayor's skyscraper towered over the city.
"Up there, at the top," Emma said, pointing, "That's where the gym is,"
"Who's the gym leader?"
"I don't know, but they must be a good friend of the mayor, for them to get the top of his tower. Anyways, let's get moving, the hotel is right there," They left Arcanine outside, checked into the hotel, and got to their room. They laid in their separate beds, and fell asleep almost immediately.
The next morning, they woke up and left right away. They came out into the fresh morning air, the sun shining on the city.
"Ah, today feels like it's gonna be great! Don't you think, um, Ϗai?" Ϗai was already running off to the building next door. "Oh, Ϗai," Emma said, running after him. They both made it inside the building, where there was a reception desk and an elevator door.
"Welcome, trainers, are you here to battle the gym leader?"
"We are, in fact!" Ϗai said, eager to get moving.
"Sorry, but to give you the elevator key, Mayor Markas would have to be here, but he's down at the ruins,"
"What ruins?!" Ϗai yelled,
"Over to the west, there's an old building he's been exploring,"
"Alright, fine. Come on, Emma, let's go find the Mayor,"
"You know I'm the gym challenger here, right?"
"I know, but I just can't wait to battle a harder trainer!"
"Battling three legendaries wasn't enough for you?"
"Nope!" Ϗai said, running ahead. Emma ran to catch up with him.
