Been having major writer's block after I finished a personal project. Read to the bottom for a message from me.
It was the night of prom. Adelaide was getting ready at Drupe's shop and she couldn't be more nervous. This was her first date. She wanted to look nice. Drupe made her beautiful knee-high cocktail dark lavender dress with hot pink rhinestones along the hemline. She stared at her reflection in the mirror for what seemed hours. "I still can't help the feeling that it's missing something," Drupe said as she helped her tie the matching ankle flat boots.
"I think it's great. How much do I owe you again?" she asked. She knew she could afford it since she's been working pretty hard at the cafe.
"Hey, you're a friend of Rads. I wouldn't even have this shop if it wasn't for him. So, it's on the house."
"Thank you so much Drupe."
There was then a knock at the shop's door. "Come in," Drupe said without turning around.
It was none other than Raymond in a black tuxedo who walked in. "You look ravishing. Drupe, you do great work," he said as looked at Adelaide, making her blush.
"Just don't steal this design, okay?" The strawberry said.
"Cross my hard drive," he said before handing his date a small pale pink gift box. "I heard it's appropriate to bring a gift to your date," he said before she took it.
She opened it and saw that it was a pair of rose quartz hair sticks. "They're beautiful, could you help me put in them please?" she asked before sitting down in a nearby chair. Raymond nodded and took back the hair sticks. She could feel him lightly pulling and braiding her hair. Even though his hands are metal, his touch felt so gentle and kind. "How does it look?" she asked before looking in the mirror. Her hair was in a tight braided bun with hair sticks holding it together. With that, the ensemble was complete.
"I thought it was missing something. Those sticks really compliment the rhinestones," Drupe said.
Adelaide got up from her seat and put her arm around Raymond's. "Shall we?" she said with blush dusting her cheeks. Raymond nodded. "See you there, Drupe," she added before they left the shop. As they walked to the parking lot tent, Adelaide couldn't stop looking at Raymond, trying not to make it noticed. She tried to stop her heart from beating so fast, it's not her fault that she finds him extremely attractive. "So, what are you going to do after the prom?" she asked, attempting to break the ice.
"I will probably go back to Voxmore and rest for the night, and you?" He asked.
"I told Rad I would clean up after the party if you guys could come. So, I'll pretty busy."
"You should have told me, I can help."
She shook her head. "I got it, promise."
"If you insist," he said. They arrived at the lines. There was one for heroes and one for villains. Adelaide was getting dirty looks from some of the heroes in line. "I will see you inside," He said before letting go of her arm.
She nodded and got in the back of the line. She got to the front and saw that KO and Dendy were manning the screening process. She could also see a bunch of people dancing and flashing lights beaming off the disco ball. "A lot of people in there," she said nervously before KO undid the velvet rope. She took a deep breath and stepped under the tent. She waited for Raymond by the entrance. He finally made it after 5 minutes.
"Sorry, that took so long. That kappa was taking forever with screening."
"Yeah Dendy can be a bit particular about stuff like that," she said before taking Raymond's arm.
"Shall we, ?" he asked before holding on to her hands.
She giggled with blush lightly dusting her cheeks. "We shall, ."
Adelaide looked around and saw so many heroes talking and mingling with each other, Enid at the turntables in her DJ Fire Ball get up, and Carol and being the only couple on the dance floor. She noticed that Raymond was looking over at the snack table. She looked over and saw Lord Boxman was gobbling down the appetizers and Prof. Venomous was trying to get him to stop. "We should probably get you some snacks before Father make them disappear," the sport robot said gesturing over the aforementioned table.
Adelaide nodded and they made their way to the food.
I will have them dance together and maybe have PV and Fink have a little daddy boss/daughter minion dance. Is that too cheesy? Don't forget to comment and follow.
