Chapter 2 : Bonds and friendships
The next morning Kirito woke up and yawned noticing Maple taking enemies attacks. He sat up and started counting the number of enemies attacking her. He felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned and noticed it was Sally. " counting the number of enemies Kirito " She asked. He nodded " so i am going to guess in NewWorld Online they tried to nerf her character " He said. She chuckled " true during the first event in NewWorld Online her skill Devour was unlimited after that they changed it to ten " She said.
He stood up and stretched his arms and legs. " Hey maple Mind if I finish off the enemies " He asked. Maple turned to face Kirito and Sally. " Sure , I wanna go and have some of Asuna's breakfast " She said. Kirito ready his sword and slashed the enemies. Sally watched with her arms crossed " not bad Kirito " She said. He nodded noticing her agility slashing the enemy that almost bit his head off. " thanks for the save , Sally " He said.
She nodded noticing maple headed to breakfast. " So what's the information on this floor's boss " She asked. Kirito took a breath " I will share it with the group , but with that party , we have it should go fine " He said. Sally nodded patting Kirito's back. Kirito and sally joined the rest of the group. Maple finished eating the wild rabbit. " So what level are you , now at Kirito " Maple asked.
Kirito looked at his status screen. " interesting , after battling that huge horde of enemies level 45 " he said. Sally looked at the screen " so what are you putting the points into , Kirito " She asked. Kirito sighed " usually I put it into skills that help with combat " He said. Sally crossed her arms " I get it , meeting Maple could cause doubt in what to put skill points in " She said. Kirito placed his arms behind his head " anyone , have a blindfold " He asked.
Asuna took the cloak , she had in her inventory and tied it around Kirito's eyes. Kirito took a breath and randomly put his points into one of the stats. Sally removed the cloak from his eyes. He looked at his status screen and scratched his face. " And all the points i haven't used are now in Hp " He said. Sally chuckled " well , that's interesting Kirito " She said. Kirito nodded as Asuna handed him some wild rabbit. Kirito took the grilled rabbit and took a bite. " Thanks , Asuna " He said. Asuna took a bite of some of the rabbit. " Well , Maple's max defense and what you did to your Hp Kirito would be a great combo " She said.
Kirito placed his hand on his chin and looked to Maple. " Hey maple , wanna try out the combo of your defense and my Hp " He asked. Maple stood up and held out her hand . " Sure , Kirito " She said. Kirito took her hand and got up. " lets head to the boss room to try out the combo " He said. Maple nodded " So , what can we expect from the boss " She asked.
Kirito nodded looking at the dungeon entrance . " Nato the colonel taurus , that's the mid boss and the floor boss is Baran the general taurus but because of that change in weapons for the first floor boss we should keep an eye out for extra surprises " He said. Maple placed her hands on her hips. " understood , all right will take with us , Yui , Sally , and Mai " She said.
Kirito walked throu the dungeon slashing enemies. He noticed how slow Yui and Mei were like maple. Sally was by Kirito's side. She placed her hand on Kirito's shoulder. " your wondering , about Mei and Yui right , Kirito " She asked. Kirito dropped his puzzled look " yeah , I am but I would guess not max defense " He asked. Sally nodded and saw a few enemies in front of the boss door. " Those too girls , have max strength Kirito " She said. He nodded noticing a few new cracks in the dungeons walls from Yui and Mei's attacks.
Kirito opened the boss room door and nodded to Sally as they entered. He ready his sword. " We should wait for Maple , Yui , and Mei " He said. Sally ready her sword as well " I agree Kirito , but lets start this fight "She said. Kirito and Sally jumped in the air as Nato hammer struck the ground. " be careful of the tendrils , breaking throu the floor " He said. Sally slashed Nato quickly and knocked the mid boss back.
Kirito avoided the tendrils and noticed Yui , Maple , and Mei arrived. Kirito and Sally kept taking turns attacking nato. Maple was taking the direct damage. Kirito noticed Yui and Mei behind her. He ran towards the three dodging the tendrils. " All right , use my hp as a shield " He said as Nato had half its hp left. He walked forward switching with maple as Yui and Mei stayed behind him. He noticed the floor boss activated as Sally finished off Nato.
Maple was in front of the other boss Baran. Sally noticed Kirito hp was almost still fill. " hun another monster , or an angel " She said. Kirito was shocked as Yui and Mei attacks defeated Baran in one hit. Kirito watched as a surprise enemy emerged. Sally , Yu , Mei and Kirito got behind Maple. " The name of the boss is Asterius the taurus king " He said.
Maple kept taking the attacks of Asterius. She watched as Kirito ran in front of her and started slashing the bosses , Hp away. Yui , sally , and Mei did a group attack. Maple crossed her arms " nicely done everyone , One hp left for Asterius and then this floor is cleared " She said. Kirito nodded and got the final slash. He jumped up " Second floor , cleared " He said hugging Maple. Maple nodded as Sally , Mei , and Yui hugged her as well. " Lets get the rest of our group and then it's time for the third floor "She said walking to the entrance of the dungeon. Kirito , Mei , Sally , and Yui followed after Maple.
End of chapter 2 . thanks for the reads of chapter 1 . about this chapter I tried to focus on the bonds of maple tree and Kirito and Asuna. anyway i made the chapter longer to have more story so till next time later.
