A/N: Hello dear readers. I have given this a lot of thought how to proceed with the breeding and procreating. I believe I have found a solution.
While I fully intended on having an awesome sex scene with Sesshomaru, Rin, and Izumi; it's not gonna work. They're just not into each other that way.
To answer a guests question; I don't know how long this story is going to be. I write until I feel as if the story is done. I'm just making this up as I go along.

During the night Kohaku regained consciousness enough to drink down some water with assistance. By the morning he was alert enough to drink an infusion for the pain and help with his facial swelling.
"This isn't your fault Izumi." Kohaku assured as they sat side by side in the sitting room. Across from them sat Rin and Sesshomaru, there was much to discuss.
"It was foolish of me to seduce you the way I did. I should have known that others would come from the east to check on me." She retorted.
"No. We did nothing wrong. They're in the wrong." He replied quickly.
"There is urgency now to…" Sesshomaru began but the words died on his lips as he closed his eyes.
"My lord. It is alright." Kohaku said. "I have never been disillusioned as to why Lady Izumi came to be in your presence, she has been honest and upfront with me. I have committed myself to her and however which way this is to go."
"I have…an…idea." Rin said slowly. "You don't have to have sex with Lord Sesshomaru to get pregnant Izu. I'll do it."
"Wait, human females can sire?" Izumi questioned quickly confused.
"How exactly do you propose you do that Rin?" Sesshomaru asked.
"Oh, this I gotta hear." Kohaku stated with a laugh in his voice.
"Just, everyone, listen." Rin brought up her hand to still the others. "In the village from time to time a horse, for example, would not want a mate or was unsuccessful in breeding. In that case the seed would be collected from the male and put into the female with a long, glass tube. It worked to produce offspring."
"Hm." Sesshomaru looked to his mate thinking on what she had just said.
"So, if I collect Lord Sesshomarus seed and then go to Lady Izumi and implant it in her then you can still get pregnant but not have to mate." Rin said pleased with herself.
"It is successful? Would it would work?" Izumi asked.
"I would suggest to do it over the course of a week, say every night, to ensure it will. If for whatever reason it failed then I suppose you would have to resort to more traditional means." Rin said.
"You said by years end, that is the time frame you have to just become pregnant or give birth?" Kohaku looked to Izumi in question.
"All of it. I need to have it by years end."
"It's nearly summer. How will you have one by then?"
"The duration is much shorter for our kind then it is for humans Kohaku." Sesshomaru replied. "It is possible as long as it works."
"I highly doubt if it were to take a bit longer your father would wage war, if say we try this and it doesn't work but a physical breeding does." Rin said.
"Well, I am not opposed to this proposition. What say you, Lord Sesshomaru?" Izumi brought her gaze to his.
"It is certainly more appealing. No offense to you my lady." He replied.
"Oh, none taken." She agreed.
"Good, then it is settled." Rin gave a nod confirming their deal. "All I need is a glass tube with two open ends and a non porous bowl."
"I will send Jaken to make haste with it so we may begin as soon as possible." Sesshomaru said.
"There are some things that I would like to do beforehand, just silly traditions really." Izumi stated waving it off. "Kohaku, would you assist me?"
"Of course." Smiling at her the best he could and taking her hand in his. "I would very much like to be present when this procedure is done."
Squeezing his hand Izumi nodded her head a few times quickly smiling back at him softly. "I very much would like you to be by my side."
Standing slowly Kohaku helped her rise to her feet. "Lets go for a walk and discuss what we are to do."
"This will be interesting." Rin said softly once they were gone. Hearing the deep sigh escape from Sesshomaru Rin turned to face him. "Are you really alright with this idea?"
Nodding once Sesshomaru leaned forward to place his head against Rins shoulder. Wrapping her arms around him she rested her head against his. "Don't worry my lord. Rin will take care of everything and everyone. That is what the lady of the house does, yes?"
"Yes." Breathing in her scent brought him comfort as he inhaled greedily rubbing his nose against her neck. Rin let out a breathy sigh kissing at his forehead.
Backing off from her slightly he stared into her eyes wanting nothing more than to drown in their deep, sparkling depths.
Rin smiled widely at him showing all of her teeth as her eyes crinkled and closed at the gesture. "Always with that smile." He mused softly bringing a hand up to her cheek and rubbing his knuckles gently against her face.
"Always for you." Rin said reopening her eyes. "You have always made me so happy, I can't help but smile when you're with me."
"This is not how this was supposed to be." He stated.
"I'm not upset. I'm glad. I am so happy that Lord Sesshomaru and Lady Izumi will have a pup together. Do you know why?" Slowly he shook his head. "Well, I love you more than anything and Izu, she has become my dear friend. So, if I care about you both so much then a child that you both have I know I'll just love and love and love unconditionally."
Taking a deep breath to steady himself Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around his mate holding her to him. "You will be a wonderful father to all of our children."
"Your faith in me is frightening."
"My lord, I know first hand how protective you are just of me. There is no doubt in my mind that you will ensure the safety and security of your little one." Rin assured resting her head against his chest.
"You were worth protecting." He rumbled out softly.
"And you believe that you won't think your own flesh and blood will not be?" Rin questioned moving her head to glance up at him.
"I don't know." Cuddling up to him for reassurance Rin wrapped her arms around him tightly.
