Buster wearing cowboy clothes sits on the porch of a wooden house playing the banjo.

Mr. Ratburn brings a test with an F.

History tests are crummy, / soggy toast ain't yummy, Someone puts a slice of toast on his head. / and the weather man on the radio, he just lied.

It starts raining.

Muffy plays with a poodle in her room.

Arthur lies on his bed looking sad.

Arthur steps in front of the camera.

Arthur said Stop! Cut! No more! You were going to tell them?

Buster said Well, yeah. It makes a good song.

Arthur said Er, ladies and gentlemen, due to, er, technical difficulties there will be no show today.

Buster said Don't listen to him, he's just embarrassed.

Michael said Roll the tape, Greg. It's a good story, Arthur.

Arthur: (groans)

He facepalms.

...In the school auditorium, all kids sat down as Ms. Tingley came in and stopped in front of the crowd. She smiles.

Ms. Tingley. " Hello kids, i have some exciting news for you! Saturday in two weeks we make a dance night in the gym hall!"

Whispering starts, most of the girls giggle.

Muffy: " I need a new dress!"

Francine. " You got enough dresses!"

Buster: " Sounds funny!"

Ms. Tingley looks around. " Two things, please! You must wear good clothing, the boys shirts and suits, the girls dresses, the title of the dance is " The candy spring dance". And, it´s a dance event for couples, you have to find a partner to dance! If the girls ask the boys or otherwise, your decision!" Now the whispering gets louder, more girls giggle and look around, most of the boys seem to be a bit embarrassed.

...When they left the auditorium, Buster scratches his head. " Dancing with a girl? Oh man!"

Muffy glares at him. " What is the thing with that? Dancing is a great thing, and sooo romantic!"

Francine and Arthur laughed. " Muffy, its's dance, not a date!"

Muffy winks. " But it can become one!"

" Guys, guys, wait!" When they stop, Ashley ran toward them and stops beside her cousin.

She gasps, Buster fondles her hair. " Hey, little Smiley! What is it?"

Ashley scratches her head. " Which boy should i ask, i only know you guys that good, a boy from my class asked me, but...! Rick eats his boogers!" gross

Arthur, Buster and Francine: " Ewww!"

Buster smiles. " I´m sure you find someone who goes to the dance with you!"

Francine nodes. " I know by Nicolas from my soccer team that Jesse Long said you are cute, and i saw he looks at you dreamily when we have lunch time in the cafeteria!"

Muffy giggles. " Yes, he nearly fainted when he looked at you!"

Ashley blushed a bit. " Hmm, Jesse is really cute, i hope he asks me!"

Francine looks over to Arthur. " Uhm, Arthur, do you want to go to the dance with me? Eh, i mean, hanging out, you know?"

Arthur clears his throat. " Uhm, okay, why not! I guess i can wear the suit from the christening of cousin Reese´s baby!"

Jenna Morgan came over to Buster. " Buster, uhm ,would you, uhm, go to the dance with me?"

He blushes a bit with an embarrassed smile. " Uhm ,okay, sure, sure!"

Jenna laughs and ran away with a giggle, Buster turns to Ashley. " Hey, Smiley, no worries! I´m sure Jesse would ask you out!"

Francine and Muffy laughed. " Never, he´s to shy!"

Ashley looks sadly down. " If he didn´t ask me, i don´t go to the dance!"

Now Francine felt bad. " Oh no, Ashley, i swear, Jesse goes to the dance with you! Maybe you ask him!"

Ashley blushed hard. " Uhm, i, uhm, i´m n-n-n-n-not s-s-s-sure i c-c-c-can do-do that!"

Francine wraps her arms around Arthur, Buster and Muffy and whispers: " We must help her, maybe you guys talk to Jesse! He needs some back up!"

...Later in the schoolyard

Arthur and Buster walked over to Jesse, a blue-grey linx, who tries some hoops at the basketball court with some friends from the third grade.

Buster waves. " Hey, Jesse, you got a minute for us?"

The boy turns his head, missing his shot. " Hey, what is it?"

Arthur and Buster stopped beside him with a grin, the rabbit snaps a finger. " We are sure you wanna go with Ashley to the dance!"

Jesse gasps. " Uhm, w-w-what? H-how y-y-y-y-you g-g-g-guess that?" His friends laughed, one of them, a dog-boy, points a finger on him.

" Sure, we all know how he looks at her all the time!" He and the other third graders giggled.

Buster puts his hands on the hips and glares angrily at them . " What's so funny about liking my cousin?" The laughing stops, the boys looked at each other and rushed away. " Oh, i got an appointment!" " I left something on the oven!" " My art teacher calls for me!"

Buster turns again to Jesse. " So, do you want to dance with Ashley, yes or no?"

Jesse shivers. " Y-yes, s-s-sure!" His view gets dreamily. " She is so cute, when she smiles, it gets brighter then the sun, she is so friendly, sporty, funny, awww!" He sighs. " But who am i kidding, a guy like me asking a angel like her? She will never go with me to the dance!" He looks down, sadly.

Arthur changes a look with Buster, then he turns towards Jesse. " She wants you to ask her, Jesse! Believe me, she likes you too!"

Jesse´s eyes get wide when he looks up. " W-what? You´re not kidding me?" Arthur and Buster noded.

Arthur took Jesse beside. " And we help you to ask her!"

...In the hallway

Sarah came towards Michael. " Hey Michael, do you want to go to the dance with me?"

Michael scratches his head. " Well, uhm, yes, yes, sure!"

Sarah giggles. " Oh great! This is sweet of you! See you later!" She hugs him and ran off.

Michael blushes a bit, then he smiles. " Well, Michael Read, here you go!"

He saw Arthur and Buster, coming along with Jesse in the middle. The third grader looks very nervous.

Arthur placed him beside the lockers. " Okay, Jesse, we tell you how to ask a girl for dancing or, uhm, a date!"

Buster nodes. " Yes, you have to be cool like Harold Lancaster, the super spy!"

Arthur laughed. " Yes, like that!"

( A dream vision shows up)

Arthur, Buster and Jesse drove in a black, elegant sportscar and stopped in front of the auditorium. A super spy music could be heard in the off, when all three exit the car, wearing tuxedos. Francine, Jenna and Ashley waiting in front of the auditorium, dressed in expensive looking dresses, Francine in red, Jenna in green and Ashley in blue.

The three boys walk over, with a confident smile on the faces. They all link their arms with the girls, Jesse looks towards Ashley. " Ashley my dear, you look amazing!" She giggles.

Suddenly Binky shows up, dressed like a super villain, a white suit, a monocle and a walking stick with a silver knob. " Muhaha, i will take control over the ball! You can´t stop me!" Arthur hands Jesse a roll of ribbon and points on Binky. " Your turn, agent Long!" Jesses nodes and throws the ribbon at Binky.

In seconds it wrapped around the villain and he lies on the floor, not able to free himself.

Ashley cuddles Jesse. " Oh Jesse, you´re so brave!"

All three couples turned around and entered the auditorium.

Jesse shook his head. " And how should we get a sportscar, and who drives it? I have no tuxedo, by the way!"

Arthur laughed. " All fine, Jesse! You have just to be confident like a super spy!"

Buster noded. " Yes, but a cool sportscar will be great! When i get a driver´s license, i buy one!"

Arthur points to a group of girls, Ashley and Hannah were with them and talked and laughed. " There you go, Jesse!"

Jesse took a deep breath and walked slowly over to the girls. When he approached them, the talking stops and they all looked at him.

Ashley had an confused look on her face. Jesse smiles a bit embarrassed. " H-hi A-ashley, how, h-how you d-d-doing t-t-t-ttoday?" He starts to shiver.

The rabbit girl smiles. " Hey Jesse! I m, uhm, i´m fine!" Then she frowns. " Are you okay? You shiver, maybe you becoming sick!"

Jesse shook his head. " N-no, i´m n-n-not s-s-s-sick! I, i j-j-just w-w-w-wanna a-ask y-" The bell rings.

Ashley waves with a shy smile. " Gotta go, Jesse, we write a test now! See ya later!" The girls rushed away. Jesse stood in the middle of the hallway and looked down sadly.

Arthur and Buster came over, the rabbit puts a hand on Jesse´s shoulder. " Don´t give up, next break you can try again!"

" But not with you help, boys!" Francine and Muffy showed up. " Jesse, next break you come to us, we show you how a girl will be asked! And forget this super spy nonsense, alright?"

...during lunch break

Francine and Muffy stood beside the cafeteria, Jesse at their side. Arthur and Buster watched from the side.

Arthur whispers. " I wonder what they planned!"

Buster frowns. " What should be better than being cool?"

Francine turns towards Jesse. " Jesse, listen, this being cool thing doesn´t work!"

Muffy nodes. " Yes, we want to be you guys romantic!2

( A dream vision comes up)

Francine, Muffy and Ashley sat at the window of a white castle, all dressed like princesses.

Francine combs Ashley´s hair, the rabbit girl sighs. " Where is the beautiful prince that takes me to his kingdom?" Suddenly a noise came from outside, the three girls looked down. Muffy points a finger on something. " LOOK!"

Arthur and Jesse riding on white horses towards the castle, dressed as princes. Both stopped below the window.

Arthur kneels and raises a hand. " Oh princess Francine, your beauty can´t be told in words, my heart is in your hands! Please, honor me with going to the dance with me!" Francine giggles. " Well, prince Arthur, give me a moment to think about it!" She turns around, giggles, then turns back to the window. " I will do so!" Arthur smiles happily.

Jesse kneels and looked up to Ashley. " Oh, adorable princess Ashley, your smile is brighter than the sun, when you walk it seems you float like a fairy above the floor! Please, be my princess on the dance tonight!"

Jesse shook his head. " Are you sure that works?"

Francine and Muffy giggled. " YES! Be romantic!" Both girls pointing to Ashley who sat on a table with Hannah. Jesse sighs and walked on.

He stops beside the two girls. " H-hi Ashley!"

The rabbit girl looked at him and smiles. " Oh, hi Jesse!"

The boy gulps. " Do y-you w-want to be m-my p-p-pri..." He clears his throat and looked over to Francine, Muffy, Arthur and Buster. Then he turns back to Ashley. " Ashley, you wanna go to the dance with me? I only wanna go there with you!"

For a moment Ashley didn´t say a word, she looks confused. Then she smiles and nodes with a giggle. " Yes, sure, i want to! Do you wanna sit down and we talk?" Hannah smiles and stood up. " See you later Ashley, i got some business!" She winks at her best friend and rushed away.

Jesse and Ashley sat there for a moment, then the girl starts. " How was your class before lunch?" Jesse laughs. " Maths with Mr. Cane, it was okay! How´s your´s?"

Arthur, Buster, Francine and Muffy watched, their jaws dropped.

Muffy frowns. " What happen?"

Arthur puts a finger on his chin. " I think Jesse does what he can do best! Being himself!"

The four looked on when Ashley puts her hand on Jesse's' arm and smiles while they talk. " All four grinned. " Awww!"

The picture fade out in shape of a heart, surrounding Jesse and Ashley.
