[Sue Ellen is in her bed, writing in her diary.]

Sue Ellen: [narrating in imagination] "Dear diary. Last week I received the most amazing package. It traveled halfway around the world, all the way from Dharamsala, India. [Tenzin packages the box] The package was sent to me by my pen pal, Tenzin Wangdu. He's Tibetan, and even though I've never met him, I think he's really cool! Inside was a sweater made by his mom of real yak wool. Yaks are a kind of shaggy cow that only lives in the Himalayas. It was so soft. I put it on right away. It was a little big, but I didn't care. It was instantly my favorite sweater. It felt magical, like I could almost feel the snow from the Himalayas around me. But a lot can change in a week. Now when I look at that sweater, I don't think of Tenzin, or the Himalayas, or the yak that the wool came from. I only think about how mean people can be."

Binky: "So Funny I Forgot to Laugh" Title card

[Francine runs in the front door]

Francine said: " Brrr. Man, is it cold out there."

[Francine walks to where Buster is standing]

Buster said: " I know! My ears are still frozen!" Buster taps one of his ears]

[Sue Ellen walks up

Sue Ellen smiles. " What you need is a pair of genuine yak wool earmuffs!"

Buster said: " Where would I get those?"

Sue Ellen said: " From a Tibetan pen pal, if you're lucky enough to have one. My friend Tenzin just sent me this. It's the warmest thing I've ever worn."

[Francine feels the sweater]

Francine said: " Awww, it's so soft, too."

[Michael appears. " Wow! What is that you're wearing?"

Sue Ellen said: " My new sweater."

Buster said: " And it's made from a yak."

[Michael puts his books in his locker. " You mean yaks. They must have used a couple of them! It's pretty big on you."

Sue Ellen said: " My mom says it'll shrink when we wash it."

Michael said: " Hey! You know what? It kind of makes you look like a big sheepdog."

[Francine and Buster laugh]

Buster said: " That's true! But you still need a tail."

Sue Ellen said: " Alright, so I look like a sheepdog. But at least I'm a warm and cozy sheepdog. Arroooo!"

[Francine and Buster laugh]

[ Michael finishes putting his books away and notices Sue Ellen's backpack " Hey! You left your backpack behind. Bad dog!"

[Buster laughs]

Buster said: " Good one!"

Lakewood Elementary School Cafeteria

[Michael waves at Sue Ellen. " Hey! Over here!"

[Sue Ellen smiles]

Michael said: " Come here, girl! Over here!"

[Sue Ellen rolls her eyes and walks forward]

Michael laughs. " Who's a good sheep doggy? You're a good sheep doggy! Yes you are!"

[Francine and Buster laugh] Sue Ellen sits down]

Sue Ellen said: " Okay, okay, you can stop now. This dog might just get angry and bite you!"

Michael said: " Awww, you wouldn't do that." He pats Sue Ellen on the back. " Sheepdogs have a very gentle nature!"

[Sue Ellen grimaces]

Muffy smiles. " I thought I would never say this, but I actually think you look tres chic!"

Sue Ellen said: " Really?"

Muffy said: " Uh-huh! I saw Capri DiVapida wearing something just like that at a fashion show!"

Michael grins. " Are you sure it was a fashion show and not a...dog show?" laughs]

[Buster and Francine give Michael blank looks]

Michel smiles embarassed. " Okay, okay, I'll stop. I don't know why, it just cracks me up! Here. Why don't you have my...biscuit?" laughs]

[Sue Ellen sighs]

Lakewood Elementary School Hallway

[Sue Ellen gasps and looks at her locker. A sign hangs from the locker which reads Happy Sheepdog Appreciation Day! with a drawing of a sheepdog with Sue Ellen's head. Sue Ellen rips the poster off her locker.]

Sue Ellen said: "Happy Sheepdog Appreciation Day?"

[Sue Ellen notices Michael s face peeking out from behind the corner]

[Sue Ellen walks up to Michael, he snickers to himself]

[Sue Ellen holds the sign out to Michael

Sue Ellen frowns angrily. "Michael, did you do this?"

Michael said: " Um, well..."

[Sue Ellen glares at Arthur]

Michael said: " ...it was just a joke."

Sue Ellen said: " Well, I don't think it's funny!"

[Sue Ellen walks off Michael keeps looking at the sign and laughing]

[Binky rips the sign out of Michael 's hands]

Binky laughed. " Ha! Oh, that's great. Look, everyone! It's a picture of Fern as a goat!"

Michael shook his head. " No, it isn't. It's Sue Ellen as a sheepdog!"

[Binky examines the sign]

Binky said: " Really? That doesn't look a thing like Sue Ellen. Or a dog. You didn't even give it a tail!"

[Binky pushes the sign into Michael's chest]

(Mr. Ratburn's Classroom explains a chart on the blackboard.)

Mr. Ratburn said: " And that, in short, is how iron ore is smelted. Class dismissed."

He sits down. The bell rings and the students walk out. Mr. Ratburn said: " Arthur, would you stay behind, please?" Arthur stands beside Mr. Ratburn's desk.

Arthur widen his eyes. " A bully? Me? I didn't bully Sue Ellen!"

Mr. Ratburn sighs. "I was surprised too, Arthur. It doesn't seem like you. But when you continue to tease someone, even after they have asked you to stop, that's bullying."

Arthur shook his head. " But it wasn't me really it wasn't!"

Mr. Ratburn said: " You sure it wasn't you, Arthur?"

Arthur said: " I'm sure Mr Ratburn!"

Mr Ratburn said: " I would Like to belive you, Arthur, but imagine if someone made you feel bad for what you wore. We have no tolerance for that kind of behavior here. You must treat everyone with respect."

Arthur said: " But... Fine. I promise not to do it again."

Mr. Ratburn nodes. " I'm glad to hear that. Arthur starts to leave. Arthur? We're not quite finished yet. You have to write an apology letter to Sue Ellen and it must be sincerely."

Arthur said: " But what about the history test?"

Mr. Ratburn said: " You can still study for it, but you have to apologize to Sue Ellen first. The sooner you get the apology note done, the faster you can study."

The Sugar Bowl

Michael said: " Now Arthur have to write Sue Ellen a letter apologizing for what I did. By tomorrow! And we have that history test. he 'll probably fail! the test i never meant to get Arthur into Troubles!"

He crunches a cracker over his chili.

Buster said: " Well, don't take it out on the crackers! It's not their fault!"

Michael nodes. " I think she should be the one apologizing to me!

Buster said: " How do you figure that?"

Michael said: " She didn't have to go to Mr. Ratburn! She could have just told me to stop!"

Buster said: " She did tell you to stop. I was there!"

Michael said: " Okay, but I didn't think she meant it! Come on. She was being oversensitive, right?"

Buster shrugs. " I don't know. Sue Ellen's never seemed oversensitive to me. I'm the oversensitive one."

Michael shok his head. " No, you're not. You're just the weird one!"

[Buster jumps out from his seat and gasps, pointing angrily at Michael. " You take that back!"

Michael sighs. " Okay, okay! I'm sorry!"

Buster sat back on his seat. " See? Saying you're sorry isn't that hard. He 'll be finished with that letter in no time. I know it!"

Arthur's Room

Arthur writing the letter] Dear Sue Ellen, I'm sorry Michael upset you. he didn't mean to. It was really just a joke. he thought you could take a joke, but I guess he was wrong. I've been teased before about wearing glasses...but I never felt I had to tell the teacher about it and get someone else in trouble. Maybe you're just...overreacting?

I don't understand why you are

so upset about such a smell thing

i thoughter we were friends

Arthur

then he studies for the history test and took a few breaks from it until dinner

David calls from downstairs. " Arthur! Dinner is ready!" He headed down stairs and Jane spoke up.

" Arthur, Mr. Ratburn notified us you bullied Sue Ellen today."

Arthur sighs. " Mom it wasn't me that bully Sue Ellen, you have to believe me!"

DW nodes. " I think Arthur is telling the true!"

David looks at her. " Not now DW, please we live to believe you, but Mr Ratburn already call us jokes are meant to be funny not hurtful."

Arthur said: " But- Mom, Dad?"

Jane shook her head. " No buts, Arthur."

Michael gasps. " Ohh Arthur didn't even bully Sue Ellen, maybe Sue Ellen get me and Arthur mixed up. again."

Lakewood Elementary School Playground

Francine reading Arthur's letter aloud to Muffy, Ashley and Sue Ellen] " ...but I never felt I had to tell the teacher about it and get someone else in trouble. Maybe you're just...overreacting?"

Sue Ellen forwns. " It goes on like that for the whole page."

Muffy shook her head. " If I hurt someone's feelings, I'd write from the bottom of my heart. And include a gift certificate to Crosswire Motors."

Francine looked at Sue Ellen. " What are you gonna do?"

Sue Ellen shrugs. " I don't know!"

Francine puts a finger on her chin. " Well, until he gives you a real apology, I'm not speaking to him."

Muffy nodes. " Me too!"

Ashley grumbles. " And me too, it is so mean of him!"

Francine, Buster, and Muffy are eating lunch with Ashley. Michael approaches the table.

Michael smiles. " Hey, guys! How about that history test? Pretty hard, right?"

Michael looks around the table. Francine, Buster, and Muffy act oblivious ignoring Michael, Ashley stood up and waves to the others, except Michael. " I take a seat with Jesse, bye!" She walked over to the table where Jesse sat and hugs him with a smiles.

Michael frowns. " What's going on?"

Buster grmaces. " We're not speaking to you, that's what's going on!"

Francine sighs. " Buster! You just ruined it!"

Buster looked over. " I did?!" He facepalms. " Oh!"

Michael lookes around. " Why aren't you speaking to me?"

Buster glares at him. " I'd tell you, but I'm not speaking!"

Muffy shook her head. " You just did it again! UGH! C'mon, Francine. Let's sit at a table that doesn't have any bullies at it!"

She glares at Michael and walks away. Arthur calls after her.

Michael looks sad. " I'm not a bully!" He turns too Buster. " What did I do wrong?"

Buster holds up his finger and opens his mouth, then makes a lip-zipping motion. He takes a notepad and pencil out of his pocket and writes a note to Arthur. He holds the note up to Arthur's face.

Michael "Your letter to Sue Ellen." What about it? Arthur wrote it

Buster yells. " IT WAS TERRIBLE! You should have wrote the letter not Arthur That's why I'm not speaking to you. Which... I'm clearly not very good at!" He leaves.

Michael gasps. " I never meant to get Arthur into troubles. with Mr Ratburn Mom or dad' or our friends. Oh my..."

After school, Michael runs out of the building and looks around for Sue Ellen. He sees her walking away and waves.

Michael calls. " Sue Ellen! Wait up!"

Sue Ellen stops. Michael runs up to her.

Michael gulps. " Look, I'm really sorry, okay? I never meant to hurt your feelings. Can we please just forget it and be friends?"

Sue Ellen crossed her arms. " Do you still think I overreacted?"

Michel stumbles. " Umm... well..."

Sue Ellen sighs. " Sorry!" She sadly turns and walks away, ignoring Michael`s outstretched hand and refuses to forgive him.

Arthur looks at both, then he puts his hands on his hips in anger. " There have to be away to teach Michael a lesson!"

[Arthur is watching TV on the couch.]

Announcer: " Tune in next week when Bionic Bunny faces Truck Man!"

[Arthur switches off the TV. He smiles and looks at the phone. Walking over, he dials Buster's number.]

Buster could be heard. " Hello?"

Arthur smiles. " Hey, Buster, Arthur here! What are you doing?"

[Buster remembers that he is not speaking to Arthur or Michael and claps his hand over the receiver. Arthur sighs.]

Arthur took a deep breath. " Buster, I know you're there! You just said hello!"

[Buster alters his voice to sound like that of an answering machine.]

Buster said: " You've reached the Baxter residence...leave your message at the beep. Bye, Arthur! Oop—I mean—aw, forget it!"

[Buster slams the phone down and hangs up. Arthur does the same and walks off.]

Arthur grumbles. " This is so unfair! I wish i never had a twin brother!"

D.W. came to Jane into her office. " Mom i don`t think it was Arthur that did the bullying because if was dad would have keep call him two time but he didn't Arthur came right down but Michael took the Longest."

Jane sighs. " You could be right DW. But there no way to prove it."

D.W. smiles. " Don't worry, it will come to light soon!"

Michael sits at the computer He opens images of a bobtail dog and a headless Sue Ellen. He crops the dog's head, puts it on Sue Ellen's body, and expands it. Then he sends the image as an email to Sue Ellen. chuckles) Right after sending the email, he didn't care. Sue Ellen saw the email.

[Sue Ellen is typing on her computer. Suddenly, an icon appears telling her that she has mail. She clicks on the link, and is surprised to find Michael 's sheepdog image. Tears appear in her eyes like she is crying as she exits out of email. The scene fades back to Sue Ellen writing in her diary.

Sue Ellen: [narrating in imagination] "...Now, when I look at that sweater, I don't think of Tenzin, or the Himalayas, or the yak that the wool came from. I only think about how mean people can be."

[Sue Ellen takes the sweater off the chair near her computer and stuffs it into a bag. She leaves her room with the bag.]

Sue Ellen walked to her mom in the kitchen. " Mom? I have to talk to you about something."

Mrs. Armstrong smiles at her. " Is something wrong honey?"

She showed her mom the email Michael sent to her, furious Mrs. Armstrong called the school in the next morning.

The next day, Arthur is putting cans into the "Clothing & Food Drive" bins in a Lakewood corridor. Sue Ellen walks up and places the bag with the sweater on top of the clothes bin.

Arthur looked at her. " Ooh! There you are! I tried to call you this morning. Michael really sorry he sent you that picture. he felt bad as soon as he hit send! But he was just upset because—"

Sue Ellen shook her head. "...you thought I overreacted too, right is that what you were going to tell me?"

[Sue Ellen walks off

Arthur sighs.]

Michael peek from the corn of the Hallway, sadly. " Ohh, what have i done!"

Arthur is sitting at a table with Binky, Slink, and Rattles. Binky points to Arthur's bean dish.]

Binky laughs. " You gonna eat those beans?"

[Arthur gives the beans to Binky, who pours them down his throat.

When it's time to go home Mr. Ratburn stopped Arthur and Sue Ellen.

[He showed Sue Ellen her history test and it had a C on it] " Sue Ellen ,are you alright?" I'm not mad Sue Ellen, I just want to make sure everything is okay."

Sue Ellen nodes. " Yes, with Michael bullying me yesterday and that I couldn't get that out of mind and focus on studying last night. [She looked at Arthur] I thought we were friends!"

Mr. Ratburn looked at Arthur. " Arthur,"He takes out the "apology" note. " Did you wrote this to Sue Ellen?"

Arthur nodes. " Yes... I'm sorry!"

Mr. Ratburn shook his head. " Don't apologize to me you should be apologizing to her. This is unacceptable Arthur, I told you to write her a sincerely apology, not a backhanded one! We're having a meeting with your parents and Sue Ellen's."

Michael gasps. " Our Parents?" He notices the bag with Sue Ellen's sweater in the clothing drive bin. He picks it up, and looking at the sweater, has a flashback of all the mean things he did to Sue Ellen:] Michael helds up the backpack. " Hey! You left your backpack behind. Bad dog! Who's a good sheep doggy? You're a good sheep doggy! Yes you are! Are you sure it was a fashion show and not a...dog show? ...it was just a joke!"

[The flashback ends. Michael stares at the sweater and shakes his head sadly. The meeting i have to speak up now, he thoughts.

At the meeting room

Mr. Haney looked around. " Thank you all for coming, Mr and Mrs Read I'm sure you're aware about your son's recent behavior."

Jane nodes. " Yes, and we grounded him for it."

Mr. Armstrong took out a printed picture of Sue Ellen with a sheepdog head and showed it to everyone.

" Well, your son sent our daughter this picture yesterday!"

Mr. Ratburn sighs. " Not only that, but he also wrote her a backhanded apology. This isn't like you Arthur, you went from one of my well-behaved students to this."

Arthur nearly cried. " i keep on telling you all the true! I didn't bully Sue Ellen, why should i bully one of my best friends?"

David gets angry. " What?! Arthur, it's one thing to be not insincere with your apologies, but what you did was cyberbullying! Me and your mother raised you better than this!"

Arthur gulps. " Dad i wasn't on Mom`s computer yesterday, really! I wasn't, why aren't you all believe me?"

Jane sighs. " Arthur could be right David! Michael asked me if he could use my computer. for school work since Arthur was used the laptop. Michael was acting a bit odd the past few days!"

Mrs. Armstrong looked at Arthur. " Michael, yes that´s the one who Sue Ellen told me last night, i thought she meant Arthur. But seeing as Arthur story isn't charge. at all since we came in!"

Mr. Haney frowns. " Well, where is Michael, when you are right, he must-"

Michael stepped into the meeting room. " Mr Haney, wait! You have the wrong brother, it was me that bully Sue Ellen, Arthur tried to warn me before. But i won't listen. so before you decide to suspend me, I will write the second apologies, please!"

Mr Haney sighs in relief. " Very well Michael, you have one week of after school detention and writing an apology, and this better not happend again or next time you will be suspended! For one week and a note in your school file!"

Michael sighs. " Yes sir it won't happend again!"

At home Arthur is writing another apology note but this time Jane and David read it to make sure it wasn't insincere and thankfully it was sincere, and Michael was grounded for an extra two weeks for cyberbullying Sue Ellen and writign an apoogy note too.

Arthur. looked over to his little sister. " Thank for believe me D.W., really!"

D.W. smiles. " Hey, that's what little sisters are for, beside you wasn't moving your glass. That is how i knew your was being truthfully!"

The next morning at school

Michael saran over to Sue Ellen. " Sue Ellen! Wait, please!"

Sue Ellen frowns. " Go away Michael! We're not friends anymore! Come Arthur!"

Arthur sighs. " I know you don't want anything to do with Michael but please hear him out. Just this once then we can head inside. Alright?"

Sue Ellen grumbles. " Fine! But if Michael call me a sheepdog again or give me another backhanded apology I'm changing classes!"

Michael took out the note and reads it to her: " Dear Sue Ellen, You didn't overreact. I have been a bully. I just didn't realize how hurt you were. But now I do. You're one of my best friends! And if you stay in our class, I promise to never treat you like that again. And I will never send you hurtful emails ever again. From now on I'll think before I make a joke. I know now that jokes can sometimes be hurtful and not everyone takes jokes very well. No one deserves to be treated with disrespect. Even if I do dislike someone that doesn't give me the right to be a bully. If you don't want to be my friend anymore and I understand, but I just want to let you know I'm sorry. Sincerely your Michael."

Sue Ellen scratches her head. " It's going to take a while for me to forgive you, but I accept your apology!"

Michael smiles in relief. " And I promise to wear this—"

[Michel rips open his jacket to reveal the sweater.]

Arthur smiles. "...every day for the rest of the year. that is right Michael? Even summer?"

[Michael holds out his hand. " Deal?")

[Sue Ellen smiles and shakes Michael s hand.]

Sue Ellen nodes. " Deal. But I think I'll take my sweater back."

Michael smiles. " It really is the warmest thing I've ever worn."

[Sue Ellen puts her arm around Michael and the three walk up the school steps.]

Sue Ellen giggles. " And soft, right? Although it does kind of make you look like a big mouse. Squeak squeak, squeak! Squeak squeak!"

Michael glares at her, then he laughs. " Hahaha, alright! I deserve this!"

All three laughed when they enter the school.

Arthur looks at the viewer. " Never treat someone bad or bully him or her for what the wear, look like or whatever! It is not fair and hurt their feelings! Especially your best friends! As you won't be bullied by others! Bye friends!"

The End
