Arthur sat on the couch. " Sometimes things aren't as they look, especially when we won´t see it for some reason. For example, you wanna keep your little sister way too safe!"

Buster steps in front of the camera.

Buster stares at Arthur. " Stop! Cut! No more! You were going to tell them?"

Arthur noded. " Yes, and you can't do anything about it!"

Buster waves to the audience. " Er, ladies and gentlemen, due to, er, technical difficulties there will be no show today. Sorry goodbye!"

Arthur shook his head. " Don't listen to him, he's just embarrassed. but there is a show today. Roll the tape, Greg."

Buster groans.

Muffy giggles: " The Kiss Title Card Buster walks into the circle, roars angrily (Lion)

At the entrance of Lakewood School...

Arthur sighs. " Mom why couldn't i stay with Violet at Might Mount i won't know no one in my new classroom!"

Jane noded. " Well, i know! But it seems her class is too full. But I'm sure you make soon new friends."

A fox-woman, wearing a green coat over a purple dress and a pair of glasses with red rims, came over.

Jane reached her the hand.. " Hello, Ms. Jenkins!"

The fox-woman shook her hand. " Ms Read, nice to see you again!"

Jane smiled. " You remember Ms Jenkins? We saw her a week ago?"

Arthur noded. " Hello Ms Jenkins, i remember!"

Jane hugged her son. " I better get going if i want to be on time for work. Michael will see you at the end of the day Arthur, alright?"

Ms Jenkins smiled. " Don't worry about a thing Ms Read, Arthur will have a wonderful day!"

Jane noded and left, Arthur seems a bit nervous. " Ms Jenkins, i only knew Violet Haskins from the other class last week."

The woman noded. " I know, but be sure, you make soon new friends. Come with me!"

Arthur followed her to an classroom. Both went inside, some kids sat on their tables.

Ms Jenkins introduces Arthur to them. " Kids, this is Arthur, he will take part of our class for some weeks!"

A Racoon-boy waves. " Hi, i´m Timothy! That's my best buddy Claude." A racoon-boy winks.

" I´m Yoko!" Greets a friendly gray tabby cat.

A bole-brown mouse beside her giggles. " I´ am Nora, saw you last week in a break!"

Charles was a gray mouse, beside him sat Lilly, a fox.

Jimmy, a French Bulldog and Doris, a beaver with curled hair sat on the right.

Grace, an upper-class ginger Persian cat and Juanita, a tuxedo cat with a dress pattered with flowers, both waving and giggling.

On the last place, a skunk-boy slouches alone and smiles. " Hi, i´m Fritz! You can sit here!"

Arthur sat beside Fritz. " Hey, nice to meet you all."

Ms. Jenkins sat down at her desk. " Alright kids, let's start our lesson!"

Lakewood Elementary at Lunch break...

Ashley and Jesse walked hand in hand from the playground back into the school building when the bell rings.

The rabbit-girl giggles. " Then have fun in ya art class! C ya later."

Jesse scratches his head. " Yes uhm, Ashley, this is for you!" He handed her a folded paper.

Ashley unfolds it and gasps. It was a portrait of her. She knew Jesse is a talented artist, but this was so sweet.

She hugs him happily. " Oh thank you, Jesse! This is so sweet of you!"

The lynx-boys blushes. " Y-you l-like it?"

Ashley laughed. " I love it! I will put this in a frame over my bed!"

Then she giggles and kisses him on the cheek.

Buster came around a corner and saw this. From his view, it seems Jesse kisses Ashley on the lips.

Buster ran over and yelled angrily. " HEY! Let my little sister go! Who do you think you are, mister casanova?"

Ashley and Jesse end up the hug and looked at him confused.

The rabbit-girl tries to explain. " Hey, there is nothing hap-"

Buster interrupts her. " I SAW WHAT HAPPEN! Jesse, this goes to far, you two are too young for this! Leave her alone!" He wave his fist angrily to Jesse. The boy shivers and ran off.

Ashley grumbles. " WHY MUST YOU RUIN EVERYTHING? WHO ASKS YOU ABOUT YOUR OPINION?"

Buster tries to grab her by the shoulder. " I am the older one, i am responsible for you!"

Ashley dodges his hand. " Stay away, you idiot! You ruin everything!" She starts to cry and ran away, the drawing in her hand. " I HATE YOU!"

Buster stood confused there when Michael and Francine came over, the monkey-girl frowns. " What did you do again to make her upset?"

Buster tries to defend himself. " I just wanna protect her from heartbreaking, i am the older brother!"

Michael looks after Ashley who ran around a corner. " And it seems you hurt her heart by trying to protect her!"

Buster sighs. " Seems so!"

Baxter house, afternoon.

Buster enters the front door. " Mom, i´m home!"

Bitzi stood in the hallway, her hands on her hips. She seems annoyed, Ashley stood behind her.

" Buster, what was that in school today? Ashley told me about it! Jesse is a good boy, i know him!"

Buster grumbles. " B-but, he forced to kiss Ashley! They are too young for this! I must protect Ashley from breaking her heart!"

Ashley points her finger in him. " You don't know what happened! Before you talk, use your little, stinky brain to think!" Bitzi looks over to her. " Ashley!"

The girl glares at Buster. " I am right! Jesse is my boyfriend, and there is nothing you can do about it! You can´t forbid me to have him"

Buster crosses his arms. " I saw enough! And i can have an eye on you! You are too young for this, you are only eight year old! You and Jesse could be friends, nothing more alright?"

Ashley raises her voice. " HOW DARE YOU? YOU ARE ONLY ONE YEAR OLDER THAN ME, AND I AM THE MORE MATURE ONE! YOU ARE ONLY JEALOUS THAT IS ALL!"

Bitzi sighs. " Kids, stop this fighting, please!"

Buster walks angrily into the living room. " I am right."

Ashley stick her tongue out and ran upstair. " Idiot!"

Bitzi shook her head. " Oh no, this is going to be a hard week already!"

At Read´s house...

Jane greeted Arthur, Michael and D.W at the front door. " Hey look who´s here! Well every day when you arrive home from school one of us is here to greet you, right?"

D.W. laughed. " Aaand you always ask us how our day was!"

Arthur noded. " And make us a snack."

David smiles. " Yes, but tomorrow we are going to change that a little. Your mom And I have two important business meetings that we both have to take care of."why Kate is at Grandma for awhile."

Jane noded. " So we won't be getting back until shortly after you are already home."

D.W. frowns. " But then who is going to let us in?"

Jane smiles. " Michael!"

Michael gasps. " Huh, me?"

Jane looked over to her husband. " We have decided that you you are grown up enough to handle the responsibility of looking after yourself D.W. and Arthur for a short time after school!"

David winks at her. " That's why we are giving you your very own key to the house!"

Michael was surprised. " My very own key? Cool thanks mom, dad, don't worry! I´m grown up enough to handle it!"

Arthur stares at him. " No fair, i want my own key too! Please!"

David and Jane changed a look, the the woman shook her head. " Not now,Arthur! When you can prove you can handle responsibility, then we think about it."

At the Baxter´s house...

Dinner was silent, Buster and Ashley sat on different sides of the table and weren´t talking with each other.

Bitzi felt uncomfortable. " Kids, lets stop with that! There is no reason for fighting! Just talk about it!"

Ashley sticks her tongue out to Buster. " No way, he wouldn't get it, he's too stupid!"

Buster crossed his arms. " Take that back, i must protect you!"

Ashley shook her head. " I will not!" " Take back!" " Never!"

Bitzi puts her hands over her head and closed her eyes. " Oh my..."

...the next Moring On the way to school

Michael sighed. " Arthur please, mom and dad decided i get the key, okay? Leave it!"

Arthur grumbles. " No i won't, i am mature enough! then you are Michel"?

They enter the school yard where they meet Buster who was standing on a sidewall and looks over the yard like a guardian. The brothers frowned.

Arthur pat his friend on the leg. " Uhm, Buster? What are you looking for?"

Buster snouts. " Jesse Long, that casanova! Know what, he kissed Ashley on the lips! They are too young! This holding-hands-and-hugging-stuff is enough!"

Arthur and Michael share a look, Michael clears his throat. " Are you sure you don´t overreacting?"

When Buster tried to answer, a girl´s voice could be heard. " THERE IS HE! THE MEAN OLDER BROTHER!"

A group of first graders approached the three boys, lead by a lynx-girl dressed in a sneakers, a white skirt and a black shirt with a werewolf on it. She points with her finger on Buster. " Leave my brother and his girlfriend alone!" The other first graders whistled and cheered.

Buster looks angrily at the girl. " do i know you`?"

The girl grumbles. " I am Yoko Long, Jesse´s sister! Ashley and me are cool with each other, she told me everything! Before making big bla-bla, ask what happened you big meanie!" Again the crowd of first graders cheered and pointed their fingers on Buster.

" MEANIe, MEANIE!" With that the kids around Yoko left and entered the building. Yoko turns around, points two fingers on her eyes and one on Buster before she get inside.

Buster seems confused. " Why is the whole world against me?"

Arthur patted his shoulder. " Well, you have to try listing to the whole story Buster you could have just mistand things."

Buster sighed. " Arthur you could be right!"

Arthur noded. " Of course I see you at lunch Buster and Michael!" I have to catch up to Timothy!"

Lunch Break...

Buster entered the cafeteria and looked for Ashley. Then he spotted her with Jesse and Hannah at a table. Buster took a deep breath and walked over.

When he approached at the table, Ashley ignores him, Jesse looks carefully and get on to eat his lunch. Hannah ignores him too.

Buster sighs. " Little Smiley, i, uhm, im wanna apologize for what i said. I only wanted to protect you and, maybe, well, i get this all wrong!"

For a moment it was silent, then Ashley turns her head. " You did. See, Jesse handed me this." She gets the drawing out of her bag and showed it to him. " And i kissed him on the cheek, that´s all. Why you don´t asked before what is going on?"

Buster gulps. " I don´t know! See, since you moved in and your mom passed, i always wanna protect you, i´m the older brother now. I´m afraid that something bad happen to you, someone beat you, someone harm you or hurt you in some way!" He closed his eyes and sniffs. " I´m sorry about this all, and Jesse, i must apologize to you too. You are a good boyfriend to Ashley."

Ashley sniffs too and stood up, she hugs Buster. " I forgive you, big brother. But please, next time you ask before say something stupid, okay?"

Buster noded. " I will, i promise."

The bell rings, all stood up for the next class when Buster patted Jesse on the shoulder. " Hey, you draw this? It´s great, maybe you can draw a comic book with me as Bionic Bunny? That will be great, i pay you with chocolate bars! And i need a creepy villain, can you draw a monster?"

Ashley smiles amused, grabs Jesse´s hand and they walked on followed by Buster.

" And, i need rocket boots, and, and laser eyes, and super hearing, and..."

Michael looks at the scene, he smiles. " Sometimes when something seems not like you expected, first ask then react. It spares you a lot of trouble!"
