(In the Reads' kitchen, a plate of brownies is on the table. Arthur is at the table, drinking a glass of milk and reading a comic book.)

Arthur looked up. " Taking something that's not yours always leads to trouble. Ask D.W."

(D.W. walks up to the table, wearing a detective's hat and looking through a magnifying glass.)

D.W. frowns. " Grandma Thora and I made twenty brownies last night. Only nineteen are left! Who is the culprit? (She looks at Arthur through the magnifying glass.) A-ha! A suspect!"

Arthur reply. " Not guilty! I just got back from the dentist, and I'm not eating any more sweets. Well, today, anyway.. at least."

Michael came into the kitchen. " Arthur you wasn't even stay in the chair which is what took us longer this time?"

(D.W. narrows her eyes and walks away. to her mom office, she walks up to the computer desk. She looks through the magnifying glass at a plate with crumbs on it.]

She shook her head. " Nope, just bagel crumbs."

(Outside, she looks through the magnifying glass at seeds on the picnic table.)

D.W. shhok her head again. " Darn, it's only birdseed."

( In the den, Pal is licking chocolate crumbs that are on the floor.)

D.W. looked at Pal. " Gotcha! How could you?"

(David is on the couch reading a newspaper and is eating a brownie.]

David looked up. " How could he what?"

D.W. looked over to her father. " Dad? YOU stole my brownie?"

David smiles. " I didn't steal it. I ate it."

(D.W. runs out of the room.)

D.W. passes Arthur who came in. " Grandma, it's Dad! HE'S the brownie thief!"

Arthur sighs. " Relax, D.W., it's just a brownie!"

Michael came in and turns to the camera.) " Isn't it?"

Francine : " Nerves of Steal." Title Card: Buster Roars (Chicken Arthur Giggle)

(Outside Buster's condominium, a model airplane is flying around. Buster is at a window, sadly looking up at it. He looks down.)

Buster greets. " Hi, Brain. "(Brain is controlling the plane with a remote control.)

Brain greets him back. " Hey, Buster! Why are you inside on such a superlative Sunday afternoon?"

Buster sighs. " Blame it on CyberToys."

Brain smiles. " You mean you finally got one?"

Buster shook his head. " Well, not exactly."

(The episode transitions to a flashback.)

(Muffy is laying out a blanket on the grass, and Francine puts down a picnic basket. The basket starts to shake.)

Muffy shouts scared. " There's a mouse in my basket!" The lid pops open, and an action figure emerges. Muffy recoils. " Ah!"

Binky laughs) (Binky and Buster are crouching behind some bushes.)

Binky looked over to Buster. " See what you're missing, Buster? CyberToy are great!" (Muffy walks up to them carrying the CyberToy.)

Muffy glares at the boys. " Binky Barnes, you'll be sorry!"

Binky shrugs. " See what I mean?" (He runs away.) (laughing) (Muffy chases him.)

Muffy grumbles. " Wait till I get my hands on you! (She drops the CyberToy, and Buster picks it up. He looks at it and smiles.) Come back here!"

(At Francine's apartment, a CyberToy pushes a ball of yarn. Nemo pounces at the yarn. Francine and Arthur watch.)

Francine smiles. " Aren't they cute? You and Pal need a CyberToy, too!"

Arthur sighs)

(At the Sugar Bowl, a CyberToy walks into a stack of paper cups and knocks them down.)

Brain seems exited. " So, when are you guys gonna get your CyberToys?"

Buster sighs. " My mom says I can't have one until my birthday. Besides, they're too expensive."

Michael noded. " And weird-looking!"

Arthur sighs too. " And beside our mom and dad say if I want one, we have to buy it ourself."

Ashley and Hannah passed them, both girls got some candy in their hands. " You can´t dress or style that CyberToy like a puppet! Boring, we don't need it! And our puppets are not that expensive!"

Both girls giggling, paying their stuff and left the Sugar Bowl.

(Francine and Binky walk into the Sugar Bowl.)

Francine smiled. " Hey, the toy store just got in the CyberToy Action Sets!"

Brain´s jaw dropped. " You mean "Creepy Castle"?"

Binky noded. " And the "Galactic Garage"!"

Brain smiles. " I hope they're not sold out!" (He runs outside after Francine and Binky.)

Buster sighs again. " Everyone on earth has a CyberToy except us!"

Arthur shook his head. " Come on, Buster, not everyone!" (Timmy and Tommy Tibble walk past the Sugar Bowl, each one carrying a CyberToy.)

Timmy + Tommy Tibble: (laughing)

Buster looked sadly down. " Yeah, everyone!"

the next day

(At Jim's Drugstore, Buster is at a display of CyberToys. He holds one and examines it.)

Buster was exited. " Wow! Doctor Zontar! Look at the craftsmanship! Look at the detail!"

Arthur sighs. " And look at the price!" (Arthur walks over to Buster.)

Buster smiles. " Oh, hi, Arthur."

Arthur looked at the CyberToy in Buster´s hand. " Is your mom gonna get you a CyberToy?"

Buster shook his head. " No, I'm just looking." (He puts back the CyberToy. He daydreams. In his fantasy, Francine, Brain, Binky and Muffy are sitting at the Sugar Bowl, playing with Cyber Toys. They turn and look at the door. A giant CyberToy with flashing red eyes is at the door. It walks inside.)

The giant CyberToy roars. " Behold, mortals! I bring you Buster Baxter!" (Buster walks into the Sugar Bowl. The giant CyberToy shoots lasers from its hands. It jumps onto the counter and shoots the lasers again, then jumps off and shoots the lasers once more. Buster sits down at a booth behind his friends and takes a sip from his drink.)

Brain was astound. " Wow, Buster! That's the coolest CyberToy ever!"

Buster laughs. " Of course! Because he's mine!" (The CyberToy presses a button on its chest. It shrinks to regular size, and jumps onto the table. It gives Buster a high five.)

(Buster's fantasy ends, and he is still looking at the toy.)

(Arthur is looking at Bionic Bunny puzzles. Buster sees Arthur's backpack bag on the ground. He looks around, then puts the CyberToy into Arthur's bag without Arthur noticing. Arthur turns and shows a puzzle to Buster.)

Arthur smiles. " Only 100 pieces. Too easy."

Buster noded nervously. " Y-yeah! L-let's go!" (He walks away, and Arthur puts the puzzle back. He picks up his backpack.)

D.W.´s voice could be heard. " Hey, I saw that!"

Buster gasps) (D.W. is pointing to a display of Bionic Bunny lunchboxes.)

D.W. points on the lunchboxes. "I saw that lunchbox at school!"

Buster sighs in relief. " Phew."

D.W. looked over. " Oh, hi, Buster! Come on, Arthur, and Michel Mom are ready to go." (Jane is at the checkout. Kate sits in a shopping cart.)

Jane smiles warmly. " Hi, Buster! Do you need a ride home?"

Buster shook his head. " Uh, uh, I-I-I think I'll walk. You want to come with me, Michael?"

Michael replies. " No thanks. I gotta get home and do my homework!" Arthur noded. " almost the Same!"

D.W. looks at her little sister. " Smile, Kate! We're on T.V.!" (She waves at a security camera. She leaves the store with Jane, Kate Michel and Arthur.) Buster looks up at the camera.)

Buster gulps)

(Buster is walking down the sidewalk. A police car drives down the street with its sirens wailing.)

Buster was clueless. " What have I done? I'm a criminal!"

(Buster imagines police cars parked outside Arthur's house at night. A crowd of people are there as well. Two police officers are escorting Arthur, who is in his pyjamas, outside.)

Arthur was surprised. " I'm innocent! Buster did it! Buster's the thief!" (His family stands at the door, watching. The crowd of people turn and yell at Buster, who runs away.)

The crowd yells. " There he goes! Hey, you come back here!"

(A helicopter is flying around and shining a searchlight. Buster runs away from the searchlight. He hides under a bridge. The searchlight passes where he's hiding. He runs from the bridge.

Buster panting) (He walks by the SugarBowl. There is a wanted poster in the window with his name and mugshots. ) " Oh no!" He gasps.

(The same poster is on a telephone pole, on the side of a house, the side of the Sugar Bowl, and on a mailbox. He looks down at his reflection in a puddle. His reflection becomes his mugshot.) I've never stolen anything before! Does that make me a real crook?

(In a courtroom, Buster backs into the judge's bench. Mr. Ratburn is the judge. He strikes his gavel.)

Mr. Ratburn looks over. " Order! Order! Now how did you all spend your weekend?"

(Muffy, Binky, Francine, Brain, Michel,, Fern, Alex, Jenna and Sue Ellen are sitting in the jury box.)

Brain was first. " I studied motion-detecting security systems!"

Francine was next. " I read "Crime and Punishment!"

Binky raises his hand. " I went on a field trip to the police station!"

Buster sighs. " I stole a CyberToy!"

Muffy, Binky + Francine: (gasping)

Mr. Ratburn looks stern at him. " Well, Buster Baxter, that definitely makes you a real crook!" (He strikes the gavel. Buster's clothes turn into a prison uniform.)

Buster gasps. " Noooooo!"

(His fantasy ends.)

(Sirens sound. Buster stands behind a tree, shaking. The sirens are from a fire truck that drives by.).

Buster sighs. " Phew."

(He looks down and sees stripes on his shirt. The stripes are shadows from a fence with bars.)

"Ah!" (He runs away.)

(Nearby, Binky and Francine are watching some older kids play baseball.)

Binky was exited. " He stole second base! Yeah!"

Francine cheered. " Go for broke! Steal third!"

Buster interrupts. " No, put it back! It's not worth it!" (The players look at him in surprise.

" Oh." (He runs off.)

(At Arthur's house, there's a knock on the door. Arthur answers it. Buster is at the door, looking nervous.)

Arthur greets. " Hi, Buster. Are you okay?"

Buster looked at him. " I need to talk to you. In your cell. I-I mean room. Now!" (He walks inside. Arthur follows him.)

(Inside Arthur's & Michael`s room, Buster closes the door.)

Arthur frowns. " Why are you acting so weird?"

Buster was nervous. " I'll show you." (He walks over to Arthur's backpack. He takes the CyberToy out of it.)

Arthur was surprised. " Where did that come from? And how did you know it was in my bag?"

(He takes the CyberToy.)

Buster looks sadly down. " Because...Because I put it there."

Arthur gasps. " You what?"

Buster sighs. " I stole it. (He sits down on the bed.) I know it was wrong, but everyone has a CyberToy except us, and I...(sighs) I couldn't help it!"

Arthur grumbles. " Great! A stolen toy I'm not even supposed to have is right here in my room! Thanks a lot, Buster!"

(He puts the CyberToy on the ground. He sits down on the bed beside Buster.)

Buster noded. " I'm sorry I almost got you in trouble, Arthur. But what do I do now? I don't even want it anymore. That's the truth."

Arthur looked at him. " Well, what do you usually do when you get something you don't want?"

Buster thinks. " Ask for a refund?"

Arthur shook his head. " No, you return it."

Buster looked at him. " Hmmm."

Arthur noded. " Look We'll go to the drugstore tomorrow before it opens, and leave it at the door with a note saying we're sorry we took it."

Buster noded too. " Sure, we'll return it! That's the only thing to do!"

Arthur smiles. " And it's the right thing to do. (The CyberToy starts to walk away.) Now get it out of here!"

Buster agreed. " Okay, but how?" The CyberToy walks into Arthur's trash can and falls down.

(Arthur smiles when an idea comes up.)

(Jane is vacuuming. Arthur opens the front door for Buster, who is carrying the trash can.)

Jane smiles. " Goodbye, Buster."

Arthur noded. " Uh, yeah, and thanks for taking out my trash."

(CyberToy sounds come out of the trashcan.)

Buster laughed nervously. " Oops. Heh heh. There goes my...stomach again! Heh. Bye, Mrs. Read!" (He leaves. Arthur closes the door.)

Arthur sighs. " Phew. Mom i am just going to parction the Piano for a while, see you."

(Arthur is waiting at a street corner. He looks at his watch. Buster comes running up.)

Buster panting)

Arthur raises his hands. " Where have you been?!"

Buster gasps. " I was writing the note."

Arthur looked at him. " What does it say?"

[Buster takes the CyberToy out of his backpack. The CyberToy has a note in its hand. Buster reads from the note.] "Dear Drugstore, we didn't mean to take this CyberToy. Somehow it just showed up in Arthur's book bag. Signed, Unanimous."

Arthur sighs. " Buster, it's "Anonymous", not "Unanimous"! And don't mention MY name, then I'LL get in trouble!"

[He takes the paper and fixes the spelling error of anonymous] " There, it is fixed lets go."

Buster looked at him. " See? This proves I'm no criminal!"

(Arthur and Buster run up to the entrance of Jim's Drugstore.)

Arthur + Buster: (panting) (Buster pauses and looks into the backpack.)

Arthur looks around. " Now what?"

Buster thinks. " Well, we can't just leave it here. What if someone steals it?" (The door to the store opens. Buster puts the toy back in his bag.)

Mr. Gage smiles. " Morning, boys! I'm in the middle of inventory, but come on in!"

[They walked inside the store]

Buster whispers. " The security camera might see us!"

Arthur whispers back. " Okay. I'll keep him busy in the candy aisle, while you return the CyberToy."

Buster gasps when he approached the display where the CyberToy where placed. " Uh, Arthur, y-y-you should see this!"

Arthur sighs. " See what? (Buster points. The CyberToy display is empty.) Oh, no!"

Mr. Gage smiled again. "I'll say! We sold out last night. Everyone and his friend wants a CyberToy, but don't worry, I'll have more soon."

Buster was clueless. " Great. If we leave it now, he'll know we did it."

Arthur shook his head. " Give it to me. [He takes the CyberToy] Now, YOU look at the candy!" He puts the CyberToy with the note down on the floor beside the display the toy starts walking.

Arthur came back to Buster. " Come on, Buster! We'd better not be late for, uh, lunch!"

Mr. Gage was a bit confused. " Didn't you boys come here for something?"

Buster gets nervous. " Oh, just these lawbreakers. I-I mean jawbreakers!" (He grabs some candy.)

(Mr. Gage walks behind the counter. Buster puts down the candy.) " That'll be 65 cents." (Buster stares up at the security camera.)

Arthur pushes him from the side. " Pay him, Buster."

Buster noded. " Okay, here." (He gives Mr. Gage some coins.)

Mr Gage took the money. " Thank you. Bye, boys."

Buster waved. " Bye." (He and Arthur walk to the door. The CyberToy emerges from an aisle, carrying the note in its hand. Mr. Gage picks up the CyberToy.)

Mr. Gage frowns. " That's funny. How did this get here? (He reads the note.)"Dear drugstore..." (His face darkens.) So, who's idea is this?"

Arthur + Buster Stammering)

Mr. Gage looks stern at the boys. " I'm waiting." (Buster stares again at the security camera.)

Then he answers. " Okay, Okay, I did it! It was me! Check your security camera! You'll see it was me!" (He points to the camera.)

Mr. Gage looks at the camera. " That security camera? It isn't even working."

Buster was surprised. " It's not?"

Mr. Gage noded. " But my telephone is. (He picks up the receiver.) And I think I better make some phone calls. (He starts dialing.) Boys, I know you meant well by returning the toy, but stealing it in the first place, well, that's where you went wrong. Very wrong. Buster, you're banned from this drugstore for a whole year. and Arthur, you are banned from this store for 1 month. (Buster and Arthur look down sadly to the ground.)

[Arthur's parents and Buster's mom arrive]

Arthur looks sadly at his mother. " I know it was a dumb thing to do. I'm sorry."

Jane was angry. " You should have come to us when you found out what Buster did."

David noded disappointed too. " Yes. Even if you didn't take the toy, can't you see how covering it up made it worse?"

(They walk out the door.) Jane looks at Arthur. " We're disappointed in you, Arthur. You and Buster."

Arthur noded sadly. " I'm disappointed in us, too."

David shook his head. " We will we talking more about this at home."

Arthur sighs. " Dad can we talk later please, i just want to lie down when we get home, i get around 7'am to get ready to meet Buster."

Bitzi was very angry. " Buster, I promised I'll get you one on your birthday but I'm afraid I won't, and I know you didn't mean to cause all of this."

Buster was totally sad. " I know, am I going to jail?"

Mr. Gage shock his head. " You're very lucky, you don't go to jail. You brought it back, seeing the mistake and get a guilty conscience. I guess being grounded is the only consequence you need alright?"

(Bitzi and Buster walk out the door. They walk down the street, as Mr. Gage stands at the door, watching.)

Bitzi frowns. " You're going to have a long time to think about what you did. To the store, and to yourself."

Buster noded. " I will."

(The flashback ends, and Buster is shown back at his condo talking to Brain.)

Buster looks down to Brain. " And that's why I'm inside on a perfect Sunday afternoon. All because of a toy I just had to have."

Brain was surprised. " Wow, I'm glad I got mine for my birthday. (He walks away.) Well, see you in school tomorrow."

Bitzi walked into Buster´s room. " You can wash up for dinner soon, Buster. (Buster walks away from the window.) And remember, dinner, but no dessert." (She left the room.

Ashley come inside with her shoulder bag " Hi Buster! I am back from Jesse´s birthday! He was so excited, his grandpa bought him a CyberToy!"

She hesitates. " Oops, sorry, i forgot, you have trouble of this toy!"

Buster smiles sadly and fondles her hair. " Little Smiley, It's not your fault, It's only mine." Ashley hugs him.

Bitzi could be heard. " Buster, wash up for dinner! Now! Ashley, this goes too for you! Hope you didn´t eat too much candy on the birthday!"

Buster sighs. " Mom really knows how to hurt a guy. (He walks over to his calendar, and writes an "x" on Sunday, March 8th.) (sighs) One weekend down, four more to go."

Ashley lowers her voice. " After dinner we can play " Rattle the Cat"!" Then she opens her bag. " Aaand, i got some muffins of Jesse´s birthday buffet here, chocolate strawberry! I mean, what you did was bad, but you regret it! Auntie-mom mustn't know that we eat them later. Alright?" Then she ran out the room.

Buster sighs with a little smile. " But i survive this with the best little sister in the world!"

(Outside, the model plane flies around.)
