Chapter 3: Romance in Paris (AKA: The Tale of Alix Kubel)

Authors notes: HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

Aah, Valentine's day is here once more. And where else to better spend it than the city of love itself. People were happy together, love was in the air, and there's no black and red Akuma ruining everywhere's day by shooting arrows. Yep, things were good, especially towards Adrien and Marinette, who were sitting together in the park.

"Aah, this is the life," Adrien said as he relaxed on the bench as Marinette did the same pose.

"Yup, and thanks to everyone being happy, we don't have to deal with a Dark Cupid 2.0," Marinette said back.

"I really wanted to remember my first kiss," Adrien moped.

"Don't worry, you'll remember the rest of mine," Marinette said as they kissed as a flash of light enveloped them.

SNAP!

"Perfect," Alix said, in her skate gear, holding up an antique camera.

"ALIX?!" Marinette yelped as Adrien waves at her. "Don't you have anything to do today?"

"I am," She said as she skated to them. "I'm capturing memories for Valentine's Day." She said as the picture printed out and handed it to them.

"Aawww," both of them said as Alix's hand was still reached towards them.

"That'll be 50 Euro," Alix said with a slight smile.

"Deal!" Adrien said as he paid her.

"Wait, you're charging these?!" Marinette said as it was too late, Alix was skating away.

"That was nice of her," Adrien smiled as Marinette facepalmed.

"Whoo, that was awesome," Alya said as she and Nino walked out of the theaters as Nino was holding her popcorn.

"I still felt like Majestia 2: dawn of ZAG was better than Majestia 3: the fate of New York," Nino said as he was more interested in the plot.

"Yea, but it's my OC ZAG and co is making on the big screen, played by Gwendolyn Christine none the less," Alya was happy as she hugged Nino. "Thanks for paying for me, Nino."

"Always a pleasure, Babe," Nino said as he kissed her as a flash of light enveloped them.

SNAP!

"Always a pleasure indeed," Alix said as she skated up to them. "Sup?"

"Oh hey Alix," Nino said, a bit annoyed. "We're in the middle of something."

"Yea, yea, pressing lips," Alix said as the picture printed out on her camera. "I just wanted to capture it for you two."

Alya takes it and sees it. "Huh, this is pretty good, actually."

"No problem," Alix said. "That'll be 50 euro."

"Can you spot me, babe," Nino said as he emptied his pockets. "I paid for the movie."

"Ugh, fine," Alya said as she paid Alix, who happily skated away. "But you do owe me one."

Steven and Connie were exploring the streets of Paris themselves as they were spending their first Valentine's Day together, and in Paris nonetheless.

"Wow, it's so peaceful," Steven said happily.

"I kind of forget that there's a crazy butterfly man living in this town, that's how peaceful today is," Connie agreed with him as they were holding hands, closing their eyes and reaching in for a smooch, when a bright light enveloped them.

SNAP!

"Perfect," Alix said as she printed out the picture.

"Alix?" Both yelped in a scared expression.

"Jeez, you scared us," Connie said as she calmed down.

"How has your valentine's day been?" Steven said happily to her.

"I've just been taking pics of couples to help commemorate Ferris wheel day," Alix explained.

"Wait, don't you mean Valentine's day?" Steven questioned her.

"Did I stutter?" She retorted back. "Anyway, I captured the perfect moment for you two." She hands them the picture.

"It's so cute!" They both said as she still had her hand out.

"That'll be 50 euro," Alix told them as Steven got his phone out.

"Do you accept online payments?" Steven said as he did not have cash on him.

"I'll allow it," Alix said as she got paid and skated away. "Later."

"There you go, Ivan," Mylene said to Ivan as they were iceskating in the rink together, and surprisingly, it wasn't as crowded as they thought. "See how easy it is?"

"It is now," Ivan said as they skated together as a flash of light enveloped them.

SNAP!

"There we go," Alix said as she skated towards them on her rollerblades on the ice somehow, and got the pic out for them.

"Alix, what are you doing here?" Ivan said, irritated at her.

"Eh, nothin' much. WhatsUp with you?" Alix said as the pic cleared up. "Anyway, I captured a perfect moment for you guys." She said as she handed them the pic.

"Look, we look so adorable together," Mylene said as Ivan can't help but smile.

"It was a good shot," Ivan admitted.

"That'll be 50 euro," Alix said as Ivan grumpily gave her the money as she skated off the court.

"How is she even doing that?" Mylene asked.

"Are you really questioning the inner mechanisms that is Alix?"

"Good point."

Marco, Star, and Jackie were all sitting on the bridge as they were all enjoying their icecream together from a local ice cream vendor.

"It was really nice of him to give us a tourist discount," Marco said as Star took another lick of hers.

"This is MUCH better than back in Cali," Star said as she got playfully nudged by Jackie.

"I don't know, Star," Jackie said. "But this is good ice cream."

All 3 of them were enjoying their ice cream as a flash of light enveloped them.

SNAP!

"God I can go for some ice cream," Alix said as she skated to them.

"Hi, Alix," Star waved at her.

"Why did you take a picture of us?" Marcu questioned her.

"I wanted to do some good and capture couples for today," Alix said as she got the picture out.

"right on," Jackie said approvingly.

Alix nodded as she handed them the photo and her hand out. "that'll be 150 euro."

"WHAT?!" Marco yelled in shock. "that's highway robbery."

"It's a good picture, Marco," Star said, looking at it.

"Ugh, fine," macro said as he handed her the money. "You really are a little snake."

"Did the snake miraculous give it away?" Alix snickered. "You'll thank me later!" She yelled as she skated on by.

Somewhere else in Paris, Juleka, rose, Marc and Nathaniel were having a double date between the two girls and the two boys.

"This is actually pretty fun. How come we haven't done this before?" Juleka questioned as Rose was cuddling her arm.

"I think it was because you never asked," Nathaniel said as he was holding hands with Marc.

"Yea, but I'm glad I did," Rose said happily. Marc smiled because this was actually a great day for them until a flash of light enveloped them.

SNAP! SNAP!

"Nice, double date!" Alix said as she fist-pumped as she rolled over while the pictures were printing.

"Alix?" Juleka said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"And what's with the camera?" Marc asked.

"Oh, this?" She said as she handed the pictures to them. "Just trying to make the best of today."

"That's...surprisingly nice of you," Nathaniel said as Alix extends a hand out to them.

"That'll be 50 euro each."

"And that's the alix we all know and love," Juleka said as they all pitched in 100 euro to her.

"Thanks, guys, I promise you won't regret this," Alix said as she slithered on out.

"I'm already regretting it..." Nathaniel said as he looked down at the picture. "but I can't deniy that her photography skills are great.

"No way, Janna," Tom pretty much grunted at Janna.

"Aw, come on," Janna said, poking his arm. "You know you wanna..."

"No, Janna, and that's final," Tom said, getting angrier as they were seeing a mime performing for the children. Janna wanted to scare the demon with their shared magic, but Tom was being responsible for once.

"Scardy demon," Janna said as she kissed his cheek as a flash of light enveloped them.

SNAP!

"She's right, you know," Alix said as she skated in front of them.

"Sup?" Janna said as she and Tom sees a picture being printed.

"What's that?" Tom asked as Alix handed them the picture.

"Just wanted to capture this moment," Alix said as she offered her hand to them. "That'll be 50 euro."

"WHAT!" Tom almost raged out.

"Either you pay her, or I one up a mime," Janna said, making Tom pay for the picture.

"Thanks, guys," Alix said as she skated away.

Later that evening, Alix was strolling home with a Playstation 5 in her hands. "Today's been a great day. They get to be with the people they love and have their memories, while I got a new system" She strolled down as she gets a phone call on her phone. "Yeer," She answered.

"Did you really scam the team out of 500 euro today?" Marinette said over the phone.

"In my defense, people were being smoochy mushy during Ferris Wheel day," Alix said.

"It's Valentine's day, Alix," Marinette said angrily.

"Did I stutter?" Alix retorted back. "Anyway, check the pic you bought from me."

Marinette did so over the phone and saw that it really was a great picture. "Huh...you did a great job taking it."

"See?" Alix defended herself. "Besides, The money's going to a great investment."

"You bought a PS5, didn't you?" Marinette deadpanned said to her.

"How else am I supposed to cheer up Max after his crush stood him up," Alix said, making Marinette shocked. "TTYL," Alix said as he hung up, seeing Max being upset as MARKOV was patting his back. "Yo, Maxi Boi,"Alix waved to them. "I gotcha something."

Max looked up and sees that Alix was gifting him a PS5. "Alix, you don't-"

"Max, I scammed nearly every member of the team to get this for you," Alix said as he ruffled his head, making sure not to touch his miraculous. "Besides, seeing you get upset is something I won't let happen."

Max takes it and hugs Alix. "Thank you...queen."

Alix smiles and hugs him back. "Don't mention it king, or should I say Wukong."
