Arthur is on a space station. He grabs a floating carton of juice.

Arthur said Space log, fourteen hundred hours. Heading for the Crab Nebula!

Pal floats by.

Pal barks)

Michael smiles. Hey, boy!

Arthur wents to a screen. Come in, Mission Control! Mission Control, come in!

Mrs. Read appears on a screen.

Jane smiles friendly. Oh, hi, sweetie.

Arthur noded. Mission Control, it's time for Pal's walk.

Michael puts a helmet on Pal in the airlock.

Jane: Helmet?

Arthur: Check!

Jane: Gloves?

Michael: Check!

Jane: Scarf?

Arthur sighs annoyed. Aw! Mission Control!

Jane shook her head. It's 37,000 degrees below zero out there, boys.

Michael gasps. Oh, all right.

Jane goes on. Got your tether?

Arthur attaches it to the wall.

The door to space opens. Suddenly the control lights flash and there is beeping and a siren. Arthur tries to pull the lever to close the door, but the whole station shakes.

Arthur stumbles. Ah! Mission Control, we have a problem!

Jane puts some buttons. Oh, yes, your acceleration's not cooperating this morning. Let me just set up the coolant line in the forward auxiliary payload area. The station goes back to normal. And, yup, that should do it. A light blinks. Oops! That's the laundry. Your Bionic Bunny T-shirt and Dark Bunny sweatshirt is ready.

Michael cheers. Mission Control, you're the best!

Arthur noded. The best one ever.

He Arthur and Pal float into space.

Muffy : all worked up Title Card: Family Photo

Mr. Ratburn is handing out graded quizzes.

The teacher looks around. I know you're all eager to see how you fared on the Cameroon quiz. Michael receives an "A+". That's quite a streak you've got going, Michael.

Buster was surprised. Wow! How many is that? Five in a row?

Michael noded with a grin. Yeah.

Francine smiles. I had a streak once. Twenty-two straight soccer games where I scored a goal. I wore the exact pair of socks every game.

Buster frowns. What for?

Francine stares at him. That's what keeps a streak going. Look at the pros. They don't even wash their socks when they're on a streak. So, whatever you've been doing, Michael, don't stop.

Michael shrugs. I don't believe in streaks.

Francine looked at him. By the way, what have you been doing?

Michael shook hies head amused. Nothing. I mean, studying. But nothing superstitious or weird.

Buster holds his nose. Or smelly.

Francine points on Michael. Well, if I were you, I wouldn't change a thing.

Kumiko bows over from her seat beside Francine. Better believe Michael, some things are not explainable!

Meanwhile...

Mr Henry shook his head. No, no Arthur, once again!

Arthur: Gales in Wales blow mainly in the dance.

Mr Henry shook his head again. Again!

Arthur: Gales in Wales blow mainly in the dale.

Mr Henry sighs in releif. By George he's got it!

The Read family are having dinner.

Michael looks at his parents. But I told Francine I don't believe in streaks. Streaks are superstitious.

Jane clears her throat. Well, I have some news! I just got an assignment from one of my clients. You know how I sometimes work for Mr. Clap word? His company hired me for a big project.

D.W. frowns. With lots of numbers?

Jane noded with a big grin. Yes. So many it'll take about three weeks. And I'll be going downtown every day to work in their main office.

Arthur and D.W. freeze. The clock over the door stops. A drop from the kitchen faucet hangs in mid-air.

D.W gasps. Mommy! You can come to school for lunch, right?

Arthur widen his eyes. And to watch Spook pooh with me right?

David gave them a midly smile. Mommy won't be around during the day so much, D.W., but she'll be here every morning and every night, and we'll all cooperate so the days go smoothly.

D.W. began: But..

Arthur interrupts her. But Mom spooky pooh is our special time together.

Michael looked over. It's only for a few weeks, D.W. and Arthur We can handle it, Mom. don't worry"

D.W. frowns at him.

Arthur glares at his brother. easy for you to say Michael you don't like Spook pooh. you talk through the whole show last time.

Michael shrugs. " Anyway! Uhm, mom, on Friday afternoon i can stay at Sarah´s house for hanging out, her mom can bring me back in time. Can i?

Jane noded with a knowing smile. Thanks, Michael. And okay, you can go to your "friend". She winks. You know, I haven't worked in real office in a while. I think it'll be fun. So, who wants to help me pack my briefcase for tomorrow?

The next morning, Mrs. Read leaves the house while her family waves from the door.

Jane said Wish me luck!

D.W. said You don't have to go if you don't want to!

Michael said Don't worry! We'll be fine! See, D.W., when you're older, things like this won't bother you.

D.W. gives him an annoyed look.

Arthur shook his head. But Michael, Mom is always Home. in the afternoon. when get back from School! How can this work?

Michael noded. I know Arthur but it just for few weeks alright? We can handle this!

At school...

Mr. Ratburn wipes the blackboard. Alright, class, clear your desks, please. Pop quiz on your reading assignment from last night. I'm sure you found plankton a fascinating topic.

Michael gasps. Uh-oh, I'm not ready!

Buster shrugs. It doesn't matter, Michael.

Michael looks over. But I didn't finish the reading.

Buster laughs. You're on a streak, remember? You may never have to study again.

Mr. Ratburn hands out the quizzes. Michel crosses his fingers.

Michael talks to himself. I do believe in streaks. I do believe in streaks. I do believe in streaks.

He starts writing.

Mr. Ratburn hands back the quizzes.

He looks at Muffy. Nice job, Miss Crosswire.

Michael gets a C.

Francine frowns. Well, it's a good thing you don't believe in streaks 'cause yours is over!

Kumiko noded.

The next morning, the Read children are having breakfast while Mr. Read does the dishes. Mrs. Read kisses everyone goodbye.

Jane smiles. Bye. I'm late. Love you. Later.

During lunch break, there is a thunderstorm over Lakewood Elementary. In the cafeteria, Michael takes an origami swan out of his lunchbox. The others look nonplussed. Michael unfolds the swan and finds a sandwich.

Michael was embarrassed. My dad's doing our lunches. (nervous chuckle) phew.

Timothy looks over. What did you bring for lunch Arthur?

Arthur opens his lunchbox. A sandwich, an apple and some chocolates" pudding what do you have Timothy?

The boy smiles. Fried chicken, cheese celery and cookies, want to switch?

Arthur giggles.

Timothy smiles. I like switching lunch's! I don't get to do it at home maybe i will have dessert first!

Late that night

Michael and D.W. argue in the hallway upstairs.

D.W. points on Michael. Did not hang up the phone!

Michael was angry. Did too! While i was talking to Sarah!

D.W. glares at him. " you talking too loud, i can´t watch Mary Cow Cow!

Michael glares back. My call of Sarah is more important than your stupid tv show!

Michael+D.W: Mom!

Nothing happens.

Michael +D.W: Dad!

David came over. D.W., Michael please, i get Kate to sleep! Arthur how would Mom have handled this?

Arthur thinks for a moment. She would have caught D.W. before she could hang up the phone in the kitchen! Mom knew everything we did before we did it! seem it Like Mom is a super hero too

Later on.

Michael reads a book about boats on the living room couch after he called Sarah back to explain.. His mom sits in an armchair with a couple of forms and talks on the phone.

Jane seem a bit stressed. Let me run it by you and then we'll adjust the schedule. Okay, great.

D.W. comes in her pajamas.

D.W. came over. Mom! Arthur is only down to one!

Mrs. Read gestures "Shh".

Jane: Yes! (laughs)

D.W. walks away looking hurt.

Michael looked at her. D.W. what´s the matter?

D,W, stopped beside him. Michael, it is Arthur had no more pill left for tonight! And dad need the number to call it in!

Michael stood up. The number should be on the bottle D.W. i guess.

The next day...

Michael and Buster are in the jungle gym.

Michael sighs. All kinds of things have changed. I just didn't notice. My streak never had a chance. His hat fall upwards, then Michael does too. Whoa!

Buster is hanging upside down from the jungle gym while Michael lies on his face in the sand below.

Buster thinks for a moment. Ah, that's just the beginning, Michael. With your mom off at work, lots of stuff will change. Like more take-out dinners, which is excellent.

Michael looks up. Nah that won't happen.

Binky hangs down from the jungle gym. When my mom started working, we had more money. We even got a new TV.

Buster noded. Then there's all the babysitters. That can be good or bad, depending on who you get.

Michael stood up and rubs of the sand of his pants. No, dads work is slow down right now, thankful!

Arthur was shocked. But... but this is only going to be three weeks. Mom say so herself!

Buster shrugs. True, but what if your mom really likes it and stays longer?

Arthur shook his head and closes his eyes. Mom will never do that would she Michael?

late that night

Arthur has a nightmare this night..

The house looks messy, Mr. Read serves disgusting food and Mrs. Read is always talking on her cellphone.

Kate: (cries)

Jane was annoyed. An hour?! I needed that file ten minutes ago. This is unacceptable. You're fired!

Her other cellphone rings. Uh-huh? Yeah. No. You're fired!

The regular phone rings. No. No one here by that name. You're fired!

D.W. came over. Mom, can I...

Jane waves with her hand. Ask your father.

A helicopter lands in the yard. Okay! Gotta go! Helicopter's here! Big meeting in Crown City! Arthur, I need that coffee!

(Arthur brings her a plastic pot.)

Arthur frowns. You're going again? But what about our special time?

Michael noded. And I'm on a streak at school!

Jane tasted the coffee. This is cold! You're fired! Not sure when I'll be back! Kisses, everyone!

She climbs out of the window. The helicopter takes off.

Arthur wakes up clawing at the air. moaning.

Michael get awake and looked over. Arthur, whatever it is, it was just a dream.

Arthur was confused. But...but Mom told us we were fired!

Michael sighs. Arthur, it was a dream now go back to sleep alright?

Arthur lies awake the whole night.

The next morning...

David looked over from the sink. Arthur you don't look very well are you sure you feel all right?

Arthur looked away. I feel great I'd better go or I'll be late for school.

Jane frowns while she drank her coffee and holding Kate. Hmm David what did D.W. wanted the Other Night?

David cleans up a cup. She wanted the number to get Arthur´s pills.

Jane was surprised. Wait, so he didn't have it for the last two night?

David noded. No but it should be ready by this afternoon!

Jane Looked at Kate. in her arms David I don't know, anything can happed without the pill!

David shook his head. Jane stop worrying, Arthur would be fine what could happen?

Jane sighs. I hope you are right!

Later in math class...

Arthur felt dizzy and he got the whole problem wrong he could hear shouting in the distance, but Arthur was unable to get to them as the darkness claimed him. Last thing he heard was Mr. Ratburn´s voice. What happen to him? We need a emergency call!

At the hospital...

Jane waiting frantically in the waiting room as the doctor and nurse who looked over Arthur, she was in the middle of a meeting when the school called.

Jane and David had met up with the paramedics at the Er of the hospital.

For what seemed like an eternity, the doctor finally came out. Ms and Mr Read?

Jane and David quickly stood up when the doctor came over to them.

"How is he?" Jane asks.

Dr. Atkins quickly looks at her clipboard and said "Well Arthur is fine physically, no clots, bleeds, or trauma to his head and his heart rhythm is normal, from what paramedics and you told me about what happened it sounds like Arthur had a minor seizure, causing his blood pressure to rise and drop suddenly which caused him to faint, but for the most part he appears stable just try to keep Arthur calm for now."

"When can I take Arthur home?" Jane asked as she and David followed the doctor to where their son laid asleep.

Dr. Atkins sighs "If Arthur doesn't have another seizure for the next 2 hours, you may take him home, but call me if anything changes or he started having seizures again. And we give you his medication, hopeful it don't get forgotten next time!"

"Yes ma'am," Jane said as she sat in a chair next to the hospital bed which held her younger son.

When Arthur woke up the first thing he notices was that he was in an unfamiliar room and he could the faint beeping of machines beside him and the itchy feeling of a needle in his hand as he tried to force his eyes open, but only able to open them slightly, then when Arthur tried to talk that when he let out a weak cough as his throat was dry, but thankfully Arthur was given some water to sip by his Mom, then after he was done Arthur asked. "What happened?"

"You had a minor seizure, which caused you to faint, sweetheart, how are you feeling right now? Are you in any pain?" Jane asked, concerned.

David holds her hand and looked at his son with a mildly smile.

Arthur just looks at his mother and his father through half-lidded eyes, saying "I feel like my head is stuffed with cotton and I am really tired, but no pain."

Before Jane could say any more Dr. Atkins walks into the room with nurse Stacy not too far behind her.

"How are you, my dear?" She asks gently as she takes out a penlight and shines it into Arthur 's eyes and then checks his heart, lungs, and pulse.

"I am just really tired and I want to go home," Arthur said as he patiently let the doctor do her exam.

"And home you shall go, my dear." Dr. Atkins states as she quickly talks with Jane and David, then she leaves to go get the discharge paper for the young boy.

Nurse Stacy hands Arthur a glass. Drink this it apple juice!

Arthur coughs a little.

Jane frowns. Are you OK?

Arthur noded. Yeah. I'm just having a hard time swallowing all of this.

Jane and David exchange a look, then his father looks at him. We will be home soon Arthur!

On the way home...

Arthur sighs. Mom couldn't we someplace for dinner?

Jane smiles. We could but your father have prepared dinner waiting at home!

Arthur noded. right

Jane looks over to David. Oh, wait, i forget the hair salon appointment.

Back at Home...

Michael and D.W. sit at the table in front of their empty plates.

Michael was concerned. It starts with little things, like Chinese food on a school night. Then she'll start working late and travelling and going to conventions. We won't even recognize her. We have to tell her. We have to stop her before it's too late.

Their mom's voice is heard from the hallway.

Jane sounds exited. Hi! Anyone home?

The kids run into the hallway and realize that their mom has a new hairdo.

D.W. stepped back. Who are you?

Jane giggles. Do you like it?

Michael+ D.W.: Augh!

Arthur shook his head. It´s not that bad.

In the kitchen...

David fondles Pal. Hello Pal what do you get there, the Little Princesses, can´t remember we got this book!

Arthur shook his head, No, no, no! Sarah left it when she and Michael were kissing in the living room yesterday instead of doing their Homework!

Michael widen his eyes and stutters. Thats, that´s not true, i mean, she left the book, but we did only our homework!

David smiles. Really? Now i better give Sarah´s mother a call! Now you park your bottom in that chair and eat your dinner.

Arthur cheers. Hamburger yummy!

In the hallway...

David looks at Jane. Arthur must have imagines Michael & Sarah kissing, maybe a cause of not getting his pill.

Jane giggles. Not really, D.W. told me the same in secret! It is better not to correct Arthur right now that will only have him go into a little mood swing! But you have not too call Sarah´s mom!

David smiles. I won´t to, im not bad about this, it´s cute! Remind i haven´t kiss you the last days!

Jane giggles again. uh , Mr Read! we have kids watching running around

Arthur came over. Dad, did you record Bionic Bunny?

David noded with a smile. Yes Arthur you can watch it after you do some of your homework that Michael brought with him!

Arthur noded. Yay!

Mrs. Read does her hair in front of the bathroom mirror. D.W. sits beside her.

D.W. looks at her mom´s hair. Daddy made muffins on Arthur's day to pick the cereal.

Jane shook her head. Oh boy. Muffins.

D.W. said And he doesn't like Mary Moo Cow.

Jane said D.W., it takes a very special person to appreciate Mary Moo Cow.

D.W. said But she's in the Arctic! And we could toboggan there if it snowed. Maybe if you're done with your job, we can go.

Arthur comes up the stairs looking sad.

Jane said You know what? I wish I had a personal assistant who could help me keep track of everything. I don't like missing all this important stuff when I'm not here. They hug.

That evening, Arthur does his homework. Mrs. Read knocks on the door frame.

Jane said Can I come in?

Arthur said I'm really busy.

Jane said What you doing?

Arthur said I'm trying not to flunk school. Mr. Ratburn's giving us a quiz every day, and I had a great streak going, but now it's wrecked, and I don't want you to like your job so much. What if you keep being different? I'll never have another streak in my whole life!

She kneels beside him. Jane said Hmm. Arthur, I really like working for Mr. Clap word, but the most important job I have is being your mom.

Arthur said Are you sure?

Jane smiles That's one thing that will not change, not one tiny bit. You four and dad are the most important in my life. Not one tiny bit. I thought you didn't believe in streaks. Well, let's figure out how to start a new streak.

She looks over his shoulder as he continues with his homework.

Mr. Read empties the dishwasher while holding Kate. D.W. talks on the cellphone.

D.W. said Yes, Mom, just a heads-up. You're scheduled for dinner here at six. Dad's making pork chops. She pats Pal.

Pal: (barks)

Davied said Okay, D.W., that's enough now.

D.W. hangs up. When her dad walks out, she calls again.

D.W. said Hi! Dad said I could play with the Tibbles. I'm just wanted to run it by you.

She puts down the phone and staples a tea bag. Arthur comes in and puts a book, papers and an egg timer on the table..

D.W. said Hey!

Arthur said What?

D.W. said This is my control center!

Arthur said Your what?

D.W. said Mom needs a personal assistant and this is my desk.

Arthur said Well, Mom and I came up with a new way for me to study. I need room for my stuff. So there!

D.W. picks up the phone.

D.W. said Hi. Mom? One member of the team is not cooperating, but I can handle it. I'll talk to you about it later. The fax machine beeps in the living room. I'll get it! She brings back a fax. What does it say?

Arthur read "D.W., stop calling work now! Love, Mom." So, I guess she doesn't need a personal assistant the rest of the evening.

D.W. pushes his school things away. Arthur pushes them back. D.W. pushes them again and the egg timer falls down and breaks.

Arthur said You...you...! I need that timer! How am I going to know 10 seconds without the timer?!

D.W. said Anyone can count to ten! One, two, three, four...

Arthur said I can't count and think about plankton! Hey, wait!

D.W. said What?

Arthur said You can count to ten?

D.W. said Sure. Watch this... (takes deep breath)

Arthur said No, no. Can you count to ten when I flip a card?

D.W. count One, two, three...

Arthur said Silently. Then tell me when the ten seconds is up.

D.W. count quietly while counting on her fingers:) One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten. Time's up!

Arthur said This might actually work.

Arthur and D.W. do homework together.

D.W. count ...four, five, six, seven, eight...

Arthur said Phytoplankton!

D.W. said You beat the clock!

They high-five. Mr. Read stands in the doorway looking pleased.

Friday afternoon, Mr. and Ms. Read cuddle up on the couch. Arthur, Michael and D.W. come in.

D.W. said Think she'll be mad? She had to work so late last night.

Arthur said Nah.

They start jumping on couch.

Arthur+Michael+D.W.: (Whoopee! Alright! Yeah!)

D.W. said Yeah! Look at me!

Jane said Well, I wonder what we could be celebrating. Arthur hands her a quiz with an A+. Could it be this? One hundred percent on this quiz?

D.W. said We have a streak! We have a streak!

Arthur said No mistakes. Wait... your hair!

Michael gasps. It is curly again.

Jane said It was too much work. I'm working enough as it is. with your Kids'

D.W.: (laughs) You're definitely our same, great mom!

The kids start jumping again.

Mr. Read kisses his wife on the forehead. She will ever be the greatest mom on earth! and the cutest thing i ever saw! He winks at Jane, she giggles girlish.

Arthur, Michael and D.W. rolled their eyes. Ewww! Mom! Dad!
