Paris is booming with people in shops, on the road, and at places galore. Naturally, today's Saturday and that means there's no school. So people are pretty much free to do what they want.
Like Marco's day at the park.
Yes, the heroic hoodie-wearing 15-year-old boy from California was relaxing by himself in Paris alone one day, and today was a good day. The sun was shining, Monsieur Ramier (who apologized to Marco about the weekly Monsieur Pigeon incidents) wasn't being harassed by Roger about his pigeons, and he was seeing that the statue of Ladybug and Chat Noir was being appreciated by a few of the citizens. As he was seeing this, Marco was thinking about something about something for a while now.
'Do they even need me?"
Ever since Marco and Papillon's duel on television, Marco feels like he's a bit too grounded to be hanging with his superhero buddies, despite the fact that he has dimensional scissors (which are in name only, as it turns out), and he doesn't think his own dragon cycle, Nachos, would be good for Paris without people thinking that's a Sentimonster. He Doesn't have a kwami, he doesn't have a magical costume, nor does he have a cool name for himself.
He was simply Marco Diaz, a 15-year-old Genderfluid Hispanic American who missed his dear friends Dipper and Mabel very much.
As he was sitting back on the bench, he sighed loudly, thinking it he should really be a hero. Until a message came to him.
"RIDICULOUS!"
Marco looked up at the familiar yellow and black costumed girl who looking over his face.
"Queen Bee!" Marco said, backing up in shock. "What are you doing here?"
"Rushing over to a sale, but that's not the point," Queen Bee said, sitting next to Marco. "You were thinking about something, weren't you?"
"Kind of, yea," Marco said, worried about how she'd take the news. "Am I...good enough to be on the same level as you and the other 4 miraculous heroes."
"What kind of question is that?" Queen Bee said as she grabbed his cheeks. "OF COURSE YOU ARE! You may be a filthy American who thinks explosions, hamburgers, and eagles are the best things ever, but you are one of my best friends. And to anyone who knows me, that's worth more than ANY original designer clothes out there."
"That's a weird way of saying I'm liked, isn't it?" Marco said as he's pulled into a side hug by Queen Bee into a selfie.
"It's the BEST way, Marco," Queen Bee said, showing the pic to Marco. "Besides, who else can say they're really good friends with Queen Bee?"
"Id say... Steven," Marco teased at her as he was booped on the nose.
"Well, of course, Steven's Steven," Queen Bee corrected him. "But who stood by my side when Papillon tried akumatizing me for the third time?"
"That's me, wasn't it?" Marco said, smiling a bit.
"Exactly. And WHO pulled me back before it was too late?"
"Hey, give a little credit to Mabel," Marco said as both of them realized something: Mabel's been missing for 6 months now.
"I owe her so much," Queen Bee said as she hugged Marco. "Like how I owe YOU so much. So...Thank you."
Marco hugged back as well. "No problem...buddy," Marco said as he remembered. "Hey, Queenie?"
"No, Marco, I'm not gonna join your harem," Queen Bee told him.
"What?!" Marco said as he pulled back. "Since when did you think I have a harem?"
"You have two girlfriends, Marco," Queen Bee said as she was making a point. "Of course it's a harem."
"2 girlfriends doesn't mean it's a harem, Queenie, it's a polyamorous relationship."
"Then what about that disembodied horse head?"
"WE DONT SPEAK OF PONYHEAD," Marco said, making sure she stays forgotten.
"Still, my point still stands," Queen Bee Scoffed.
"I was gonna say that you might be busy this weekend with your 'Big Hero, Little Sidekick' program," Marco said as he just texted her something. Queen Bee pulled out her trompo and saw the text from inside its phone mode and frowned.
"Do I have to mentor HER?!"
"She was the only one we could find," Marco said. "Trust me, you and the little snake will get along famously."
