Caulifla and Kale: What If (Chapter Five)- "Friendship Over?"
Planet Sadala, Caulifla's Hideout (One week after TOP)
Caulifla: Fine! Leave! I don't need you to be happy! I can train all by myself!
Kale: Fine! I'm leaving! (Opens the door, shuts it, and starts flying in the air in tears)
[This is one sad story that I'll never forget. Oh! I didn't know that I was being watched! Who are you!? Never mind about that. My name is Kale and what you just heard there was me arguing with my friend Caulifla. We were going to train together and achieve Super Saiyan Three, but...there was a small speed bump between us. Caulifla wanted to train with Goku, the one that has that form, but I don't want her to train with him. The last time he and Caulifla fought, it almost broke me. I want her to stay on Sadala so that we can get strong together. We had our first argument and I left. It was hard for me to get through that, but I was alone. With nowhere to go. Except...Cabba.]
Planet Sadala, SDF Headquarters (Thirty Minutes Later)
[I arrived at the headquarters with just a few minutes to spare. It usually closes at 10 pm, since they need all of the soldiers to take a break from taking care of the missions, but this is an emergency. I knock on the door, hoping that someone opens it because it was raining outside. Luckily, Cabba opens the door for me. I quickly walk into the building, Cabba gives me a blanket for warmth, and I sit down on a nearby chair for some breathers. I wasn't ready to tell Cabba why I'm here, but I need somewhere to stay, so I told him of what happened, between me and Caulifla. He was shocked to hear this because he thought that we were close. We were...for now. I told him if I could stay in for a while until I can settle things about myself. Cabba said yes like he always does and shows me to someone who has enough room for me to sleep in.]
Upstairs, Left Side of Headquarters…
Cabba: (Looks at Kale) That's sad for you and Caulifla to have that argument. I hope that you find a good way to fix things. For now, you can live with one of the assistants. He's about to be a soldier in a couple of years, so you should be fine with him. (Knocks on the door) Limo! Are you in here!? I got a visitor!
Kale: (Looks at the door) (Although Cabba is trying to make me feel better, I have a feeling that this pain between me and Caulifla will never go away.) (Sees the door open) Whoa! He's h-huge!
Limo: (Looks down to see Cabba and Kale) Hi, Cabba. What do you want? (Rubs his eyes) I was about to go to sleep, but you knocked on my door. (Looks at Kale, blushing) W-Who is she?
Cabba: Limo! This is Kale. She's a friend of mine. She got into an argument with her friend and she needs a place to stay. I want you to keep her company for a couple of days. Can you do it?
Limo: (Rubs the back of his head) I g-guess so.
Cabba: Good! (Looks at Kale) He's a shy person like you are. He's pretty kind also. Take good care of each other! (Leaves the area)
Kale: (Walks into Limo's room) Wow! Your room is pretty organized. You must be a really good assistant if you keep your room clean.
Limo: (Kale...she's a girl and I'm not used to having girls in here! This is embarrassing! Whew! Calm down, Limo, Kale is a kind girl, like you are. Just be yourself and introduce her to the room a little bit) Uh...K-Kale?
Kale: (Looks at Limo) Yes?
Limo: (Face turns red) Uh...The room is a small one for us, so we have to s-sleep together. W-Will that be okay for you?
Kale: I'm fine with that. (looks around) Where are the clothes? I have to change into something dry, after flying through that rain all night. (Looks at the closet) Oh! there it is! (Opens the closet and pulls out a yellow outfit) Uh?
Limo: Those were my old outfit, before Janet, the scientist of the headquarters, accidentally transformed me into this. (pats his stomach, making it jiggle) You can wear them. T-They don't fit me anymore. (Looks away)
Kale: Thanks. (Walks into the bathroom and starts to change)
[Limo is a kind Saiyan to be with. Even though he might be shy towards me for some reason, I still accepted his space. Except, when we're sleeping. I had to sleep on his stomach since he only has one bed to sleep in. I don't mind that at all. His stomach is soft and comfortable to sleep in. The next day came and me and Limo were off to the cafeteria for some breakfast. I see a dark-skinned woman in a lab coat and Cabba on the far right table. The scientist must be Janet, the same woman that Limo talked about last night. We sat at that table, after getting our breakfast. Janet seems to be a kind woman, despite being a sectorian. She describes the many experiments that she's making and lots more. She even likes Limo as her assistant. But after hearing that he might be a soldier in a couple of years., that broke her. But...she wasn't heartbroken. She felt sad that he was leaving her, but she still likes him to be his own person. Maybe that might be the same for me and Caulifla. She might have some feelings towards me and might be off searching for me. Before I could even think of Caulifla searching for me, a sectorian boy pours some orange juice on Limo's face. This is Terrance, Janet's cousin. He bullies Limo on a daily basis and it makes a lot of sense. He continues to torture him, before giving him a wedgie for good time sake. He later looks at me and...this is the moment where everything changes...For me and Caulifla…]
Terrance: Who are you, little bitch!? (Flicks Kale's bang) You don't look like you belong in this building!
Janet: (Angrily stares at Terrance) Cuz! I want you to respect our visitors. She just had a hard time last night and is eating her breakfast. And apologize to Limo! (Points at Limo)
Terrance: One, Like care to apologize to a roly-poly like him! (Points at Limo) Two, I can do whatever I want to do! (grabs Kale's shirt, drags her close to him) And I can do whatever I want to this bitch! Starting no-
Kale: (Punches Terrance in the stomach) Don't touch me! (Picks up Terrance and throws him across the cafeteria) There! Who's the bitch now!? (Breaths hard)
Cabba: (Eyes widen, jaw drops) K-Kale!?
Limo: (Removes his wedgie and sees Kale) Whoa! I didn't know that she was this powerful.
Janet: Wow! Kale! (Looks at Kale) You just threw my cousin across the area! That's...AMAZING! (hugs Kale) I thought that me and Cabba are the only people to do it, until now! How about you join the SDF elites?
Kale: (Looks at Janet) Join the SDF elites? (Rubs her chin) I-I don't know about that. I haven't talked to Caulifla about coming back and saying sorry to her.
Cabba: How about after breakfast, we can talk to her on the phone. Isn't that okay for you? (Looks at Kale)
Kale: (Looks at Cabba) I guess so.
SDF Headquarters, Phone Area (Twenty Minutes Later)
[Me and Cabba are in the phone area, in order to call Caulifla. I dialed her number and waited for her to respond. It took a few seconds until a voice came on the phone. It's not Caulifla, but Gran, her right-hand man. He says to me that Caulifla did leave the hideout, but it wasn't because she wanted to find me. She...moved out of the hideout. He didn't say where, since she didn't bother to tell any of the thugs where she was going. Grans said that she didn't want me to leave and should think about going somewhere for the time being. I hung up and looked at Cabba for a moment. I had to pick which decision was right for me. Should I go back to the hideout, wait for Caulifla to come back, and say sorry for arguing with her? OR should I enroll in the SDF elites and begin a life with Cabba and Limo? I thought real hard and made my decision. I enrolled in the SDF elites and became one of the best soldiers on Sadala! It was nice to be a soldier and have more support. Me and Limo feel a lot closer together, making things a bit less awkward. Me and Cabba are training together to become stronger than before! This decision is the best one in my opinion, but...two years later, a threat will come on Sadala...and it's up to me and Caulifla to save the planet once more.]
Planet Sadala, SDF Headquarters (Two Years Later)
[Two years have passed and everything seems to be going fine for me. As an elite soldier, I never thought that being one would mean being more popular with the people. This never happened, when I was with Caulifla before. Me, Cabba, and Limo are a good team, fighting crime and solving problems on Sadala. We're now in the cafeteria, talking about our previous mission. We were sent to investigate the disappearance of many Saiyan citizens from the eastern city. It was an awkward mission to do, but we managed to find some clues for Janet to analyze. Things have been fine between me and Limo. I taught him how to defend himself in battle, while he taught me how to be more social with others. Me and he are like the best duo in this building. Me and Cabba are the best duo in fighting, but for me and Limo. it's like we're...a couple of some sort. I don't like to jump to conclusions, but I think that it's true. After lunch. We head to the lab for Janet's analysis of the clues that we found in the eastern city. This does seem to be good for all of us because after Janet is done with her analysis, she turns around making a sad expression.]
Janet: I have some bad news for the three of you. I found that the clues have a connection to the recent crimes from the east side of the universe. Pirates have been taking people in and turning them into some kind of monster. We don't know who's behind this, but I did find the source of where their location is at. (Points at the computer) It's on this planet on the West side of North city. It's abandoned, so be careful of any robbers that might attack you.
Kale: (Bows down) Don't worry. We'll take care of things. (Smiles at Janet)
Limo: (Salutes to Janet) We'll be on the job, Janet. (Smiles)
Janet: (Smiles) I know that you three will be the ones for this type of situation. Before you leave, I have to talk to Kale for a few minutes. Cabba. Limo.
Cabba and Limo: (Nods and leave the lab)
Janet: (Looks at Kale) There's something that I found along with the location of the pirate's hideout. I also found your friend. Caulifla. It seems that she was either captured by one of the pirates or is one of the pirates stealing the Saiyans.
Kale: She wouldn't! I know that she's a thug, but she doesn't steal people from their homes. Why are you saying this to me?
Janet: (Touches Kale's shoulder) Because...I have a feeling that she might be in trouble. You have a big decision of joining your team to help your friend or not. I want you to make another good decision. I know that you and Caulifla had a bad start to what you were going to do, but it's not over. There is some time for you two to go back together. (Smiles) Just believe me.
Kale: Hmm...I guess you're right. I'll try my best to make the right one.
Janet: Oh and...Before you go, Limo has been thinking of going on a date with you. He told me first so that I can say it to you personally. He's still shy about making a wrong take on what he means.
Kale: Oh! (Eyes widen and blush) I-I'll think about that one, too. Thanks, Janet! (Leaves the lab)
[After that short, private conversation with Janet, my team left the headquarters and onto the hideout. It felt weird that Caulifla would join a pirate group, knowing that she's already in a thug group of her own. Maybe she changed the group to steal Saiyans, instead of supplies? I'll figure that one out later, but I have to make the biggest decision, since two years ago: "Will I go back with Caulifla?" It took us twenty minutes to get to the north city on the western side. We saw a huge building that looks like it's about eight to nine stories high. We landed near the building, but away from any nearby pirates around the perimeter. Cabba is the brains of the team, so he thinks up a plan to get into the building and rescue the Saiyans. "Kale! I want you to go into the back area of the building and find the Saiyans. Limo and I will distract the pirates and try to get them away from the building. Got it?" said Cabba, until I disagreed with his idea. I said to him that me and Limo will go to the back of the building, while he will distract the pirates away from the building. Cabba seems to be agreeing to the idea, so he says yes. After that, he turns Super Saiyan, flies up in the air, and throws an energy blast in the air. This causes the pirates to look up, seeing Cabba. They fly up to catch the intruder. Cabba tells us to go into the building and get the Saiyans before he flies right away from the building. I knocked the back door down and me and Limo went into the building.]
Pirate Hideout, Back Area (Ten to Eleven Minutes Later)
Kale: (Looks around) I don't hear anything. The Saiyans must be in a different area. (Looks at Limo) Limo?
Limo: (Looks at Kale with blushed cheeks) Uh, Kale?
Kale: are you okay? You seem to be fine. Do you have something to tell me?
Limo: I d-do, but I think that you might laugh at it. (Looks away)
Kale: We're friends! I won't laugh at anything that you say. (Smiles)
Limo: Okay. (Looks at Kale with a red face) I was thinking of having a date between you and me. There!
Kale: (Blushes) Oh...Janet told me that you might say that to me. It's still fine that we'll do that. (hear some screaming from a distance) Wait! (Looks right and sees a bright light) There! Limo! Wait right here. I'll go get the Saiyans! (Turns super Saiyan and runs right)
Limo: Okay. (I can't believe that she said those words to me. I guess Janet was right. All I had to do was talk to her face to fa-)
?: Where is the meat!? I need MORE!
Limo: Huh? (Looks right and sees another bright light) It's coming from there. I better investigate. (Walks right) I hope it's not a trap. (goes into the room, steps on something wet, and looks down to see lots of bones with bits of meat on) Ew! Who did this!?
?: Hey! (Looks at Limo) Do you have any meat!?
Limo: Huh? (Looks at an overweight woman in a pink tube shirt and purple pants) Ah! Uh…
?: (Crosses her arms) Well? I'm waiting for a response!
Limo: You look similar...Kale did say that her friend had the same pink shirt and purple pants. Not to mention the same hairstyle as you have on. What's your name?
?: My name is Caulifla, dammit! (Drinks a large can of soda) I need some more meat and some soda for my stomach! (Pats her stomach, making it jiggle)
Limo: (Eyes widen) Caulifla!?
Back to Kale…
Kale: (Sees a few pirates guarding a cage full of Saiyans) there are the rest of them. I have to think of something. Hm...Oh! I got it! (Shoots a small energy beam to a nearby area)
(Pirates walks over to where the destruction came from, Kale knocks both of them out, runs back to the cages, and frees the Saiyans)
Kale: There! You're free! Leave through the back door and Cabba will be there to save you! GO!
(Saiyans leave the area)
?: Oh… So you must be Kale? I need you for something. (Prepares to knock out Kale, but gets her hands caught by her)
Kale: (Throws the person to the cages) Ah! Who are yo- (Eyes widen) F-Frost!?
?: Hell no! My name is Peppermint, Frost's cousin. I'm here to avenge him and continue his crimes for him. His ass is still in hiding, but he's planning on coming back on top. IN order to do that, I have to steal as many power sources from various Saiyans as possible, so that I can give myself and my good for nothing cousin some power! Hahahahaha!
Kale: Wait a minute! Why Us!?
Peppermint: Because...Me and Frost hate your asses! So come over here and be dead! (Creates an energy hand blade and charges at Kale)
Kale: (gets into fighting positions) (Dammit! I have to fight her and get out of here as soon as possible!)
Back to Limo and Caulifla…
Limo: H-How did you get here?
Caulifla: After Kale left me over what we wanted to train on, I felt bad for her. For a while, training by myself wasn't that bad, until I realized that Kale was the only one strong enough to give me a decent battle. I left the hideout, in search of her. About three weeks later, I didn't find her anywhere on Sadala. I came upon this place in the northern city and this lady in a black robe said that my friend is in that building. I followed her in and...I was knocked out cold by something hitting the back of my head.
Limo: And…(raises his eyebrow) What happened after that?
Caulifla: After I was knocked out, I woke up in this place. I was still in the building but in a different room. I saw the same robe lady here, but with a lot of snacks and meat for me! She said that ALL of the food was mine, just as long as I stay in this building. I was thinking really hard about what to pick. Should I leave and go after Kale or stay and eat the food? I said, "Hell! I'll eat this food without Kale!" before I ate into my first pile of meat! (Pats her stomach, making it jiggle) I love being this large! (Looks at Limo with a smile) You should stay here, big guy! It's a good place!
Limo: No! I'm here to save a few Saiyans in this building and I don't have time to eat! I may be large, but I have a heart of gold! (Grabs Caulifla's hand) Since you're here, I can show you to Kale! Maybe now, you can be friends with her again!
Caulifla: (Grunts, before pulling her hand away from Limo) NO! I'm not leaving! I love it here and the reason why Kale left in the first place was that fact that she might "lose me to Goku!"
Limo: Goku? Who's- (Shakes his eyes) I don't have time for this! I have to help Kale and finish the mission! (Turns around) If you need to know what Kale's thinking about, then…(Tosses a piece of paper to Caulifla) That will change your mind. (Leaves the room)
[I didn't get why that fat ass cared about me and Kale going back together. I picked up the paper from the floor (For which I had trouble getting it, because of my huge stomach) and read the paper. It was...sad to see this paper in front of me. "I know that Caulifla would like to train with Goku, but...it would be much better if we trained together. What I'm saying is that I care for Caulifla. More than anyone else. I just want her to stay with me. As sisters in arms, we cannot leave each other's sides. That's what Caulifla said to me a long time ago. I wish that Caulifla gets the point of things. - Kale" Below that letter were some teardrops. I can't believe that I was so blind to what Kale was trying to say to me. It's all my fault that we were separated in the first two years. I have to make things right. I left the room, even though I had a bit of trouble getting out of the doorway, and followed the big guy's energy source. I just hope that I'm not too late.]
Back To Kale and Peppermint…
Kale: (gets hit by Peppermint's energy blades) Ugh! (Looks at her scar on her chest)
Peppermint: Hehehe! You have no other choice, but to surrender! I'll use your energy and fuel our power! Hahahaha!
Kale: N-Never! I'll protect this planet and defeat you!
Peppermint: (Puts her energy blade close to Kale's neck) Dead or alive, you'll never kill me.
Limo: Kale! (Fires some energy blasts at Peppermint)
Peppermint) UGH!
Kale: (Kicks Peppermint away and runs to Limo) Limo!
Limo: Are you okay? She didn't hurt you or anything.
Kale: A little, but I'm fine. We better get all of the Saiyans out of here. Peppermint is planning to extract the energy of them and fuel her "empire" with Frost!
Limo: That's bad! I saw Cabba with the rest of the Saiyans, so that solves everything!
Peppermint: (Looks at Limo and Kale) Not so fast! I'm still here and will use both of your powers to fuel the empire! I don't need those weaklings to do it!
Limo: Oh yeah! What about Caulifla? The one that you've been keeping?!
Kale: Caulifla? (Looks at Limo with a surprising expression) She's here?
Limo: Yes. She's been eating like a pig and you caught her looking for Kale. Why did you keep her!?
Kale: (S-She went out of the hideout, just to go look for me?)
Peppermint: Oh! That fat bitch! I'm only keeping her so that she doesn't interfere with the plan! That's all simple and done!
Caulifla: Oh really!? (Charges her attack) I like to see you try! Crush Cannon! (Fires her attack)
Peppermint: Uh? (Gets hit by the attack) AAAAAAHHHH! (Lands near the core reactor)
Kale: (Looks at Caulifla) Caulifla!?
Caulifla: (Walks up to Kale and hugs her) So glad that you're here! I'm sorry for what I said to you. Sisters in arms never leave each other's sides!
Kale: Uh...Caulifla? Why are you-
Caulifla: Fat? I'll talk to you about the entire story later. (Looks at the core reactor) We better get out of here! (Runs to the exit)
[Me, Caulifla, and Limo were able to leave the building in time before the core reactor exploded. It probably killed Peppermint in the process, so that's good news to hear. After sending the rest of the kidnapped Saiyans home, we went back to the headquarters. While Cabba and Limo were in the building, talking to Janet, I stayed outside to talk to Caulifla. We had a long conversation, due to us being separated for two years. I said to her that I was sorry for not following her orders, but...Caulifla said that she was sorry for not listening to me. "I should have listened to you from the beginning. I thought that training with Goku would be a good idea at the time, but...after Limo gave me that paper, I changed my mind. I'm sorry that I didn't listen to you and from now on, I'll follow your words." said Caulifla. I was in tears after she said that. I hugged her so that our friendship will never break again. Limo was able to get outside with us and ask me about the date. I said yes to him and he blushed so hard that his face turned red. I laughed at it because it was funny. Plus, I was blushing as well. It was a hard time for me to be alone without Caulifla. But what makes this a good ending is that I will be with Caulifla and be an SDF Elite. That's the end of this story. Thanks for listening!]
