Hello everyone this is my second chapter of Xenotrix (wonder if I should have called it OmniBlade?) and in this chapter, we get introduced to Pyra. Now I have never written fight scenes in my life before so I'm sorry if I disappoint you guys but I'll try my best. I have used other fight scenes from other fics both of Xenoblade and Ben 10 to base my fight scene off of it. But anyway I hope to spread the existence of Xenoblade because it's one of the best game series in my opinion (wish there was more fanfiction of this series)

Chapter 2: A New Heart

"We have arrived at our destination. All personnel report to stations. Salvage teams suit up and process to dive". The announcement was heard throughout the entire ship.

Rex looks up and begins grabbing all the equipment he needs from his room oxygen tanks, inflatable air, and his helmet.

Rushing out of his room but stops as he sees Pupunin on the ship. Strange he didn't think the nopon would be here after all he isn't a salvager.

He walks up to the nopon "Pupunin what are you doing here on the Maelstrom?".

The nopon panicked a little bit "Meh Meh!? Shouldn't Rex worry about job Bana expects it be success".

Rex was a little bit suspicious at this but he knew he had no time so he decided to question Pupunin after he was done with the job. "Fine but don't expect this to be over. Something is going on and I'm going to find out what".

Heading down the stairs he joins up with the rest of the salvagers and awaits his orders.

The captain of the ship arrives and gives the team the orders. "Our target is 450 peds straight down. Searching the wreck while submerged is risky so we'll floatation devices and cranes to lift the hull first. Next, you'll be split into groups to explore the interior and find the target, then the retrieval can commence. Any questions?"

He looks at the group for any before continuing "none? Then get into positions now!".

As Rex begins to leave with his team he suddenly hears Nia's shout from upstairs "we're paying you low lives a lot of money. So don't screw this up!".

Grinning up at her with a light laugh "don't worry you'll get your money's worth". As he heads outside Rex swears he could hear her huffing at him.

Arriving at the edge of the Maelstrom he immediately dives off the edge and enters the depth of the cloud sea.

Diving deeper he begins to see something coming into his view of vision. It was a massive ship kinda like the one he saw at Argentum before but this one has let time eat it away and this one was bigger in his opinion.

As the cranes attach onto the exterior of the ship he swims close by to attach a flotation device. After making sure it was secure he waves to another group signaling that he was done.

He starts swimming up to the surface and a moment later the floatation devices activate bringing the ship out of the clouds.

Resurfacing from the clouds he uses his anchor shot to grapple the side of the ancient ship and pull himself out of the clouds and onto the ship's deck.

After taking a breather he hears footsteps and turns to see his clients coming onboard.

Nia walked up to him with a smile. "Not bad kid, maybe you do live up to your reputation after all" she complimented with a hand on her hip.

Returning the smile he just nodded and accepted the compliment and stayed on the deck waiting for his next orders.

The group start to head inside the ship until Jin turned back towards him "you with us"

Rex has a look of surprise on his face "me?" He said confused as to what they could need him for they were drivers and blades they didn't need a salvager and he was certain they didn't know his secret.

Nia shot Jin a shocked look "seriously you want him to come along?" she questioned

Malos just smirked "guess he thinks you need all the help you can get gahaha" he laughed mockingly.

Nia just glares at Malos before turning to Rex and yelling angrily "well don't just stand there you've got your orders come on!". She stomps to catch up with her group with Rex tagging along.

As they approached the door the ground started shaking, realizing something big was coming he jumped back with his sword in hand and adopted a stance to be on guard with the rest of the group doing the same.

The doors burst open and a Lethal Lysaat King came out charging at the group like a wild armu. Quickly dodging out of the way he let Nia who wielded twin rings of pure ether distract the Lysaat so he could get behind it.

Now at the Lysaat's back, he pulls his sword back before stabbing it in the back while yelling "SWORD BASH!"

Sword bash was an art he learned over the years and after constantly testing it out over and over again he discovered the most effective way to use it was to strike an enemy's behind.

It worked too. The one strike was all it took for the Lysaat to die with a loud screech.

The crewmates just looked at Rex in awe.

"Wow, that's Rex for ya! He isn't the legendary salvager for nothing!" someone shouted.

Closing his eyes and rubbing the back of his neck he sheepishly said "come on guys if it wasn't for Nia distracting that thing I would have never been able to hit that thing in the back" he let out a small laugh too.

Nia puts away his weapons and walks up to him. "Not bad but next time warn me a little bit would ya. I don't like not being told the plan" she lightly scolds him with a small playful glare on her face.

Rex just bowed his head and apologized "haha sorry but don't worry nex-" "Hey! That's enough yapping you pair of brats. Let's move!" he was cut off by Malos as both he and Jin were entering the ship.

Rex just looked at Nia unamused. "Well he's a ball of sunshine isn't he?" Nia lets out an amused snort as she tries to contain a chuckle before the both of them burst out laughing together as they went inside the ship.

Off in the distance, we can see Pupunin spying on the group.

Inside the ancient ship

The inside of the shape was definitely cool. It was a lot more advanced than anything he had seen before on Alrest. Though it didn't compare to things he's seen out of this world like Tetrax's ship but that was kind of an unfair comparison.

Traveling through the ship wasn't too hard. There were only small lysaats and krabble and those things didn't really put up much of a fight.

Arriving in a room with a locked door Rex figured out they needed to access the main panel in order to open it. When the door opened it revealed a massive room with a Megalo Aligo in the center of it.

The Aligo turned around and immediately charged towards them. Everybody else except Rex dodged out of the way. Taking a gamble Rex waits for the right moment and jumps over the Aligo and lands right behind it.

"SWORD BASH!"

His sword pierces the Aligo head and skull, destroying its brain as the Aligo stumbles onto the ground and giving out one last roar before dying.

Hopping off the Aligo's head he heard a whistle and saw Malos giving him an impressed look. "Now that's what I'm talking about kid, maybe you really do live up to your reputation after all".

Rex shot Malos an annoyed look and said "my name is not kid it's Rex honestly is it that hard to say".

Malos laughs at him before calming down. "Oh, I'll call you by your name but only if you gain my respect, kid". He then looks at the door at the end of the room and points out "Jin, check it out. Addam's crest".

Rex quickly turned his attention to the door 'Adamm's crest could he mean… like THE hero Addam the one from hundreds of years ago'. Rex didn't know much about Addam only that he was some hero that fought a war 500 years ago.

"You" Jin spoke up, Rex turned to him "open this door. This door will only open for one of you people."

"One of … my people? What does that mean?" Rex asked. Malos just glares at him and yells. "Hurry up and do it! We're not paying to ask dumb questions!"

"Okay okay geez you could just ask nicely" walking up to the door he pushes the crest causing it to glow and opening the door. 'Knew it, the design reminds me of some alien ship doors I've been in before'. "Well guess the only way is forward" walking down the hall he couldn't help but get this feeling that something was calling out to him. He also notices something else with each step he took electrically like energy was clinging to his feet. ' A defense mechanism? But why am I not hurt? Wait they asked for a leaftherian and Jin said the door only opened for my people...is..is this why they hired me? to bypass the defenses? What is going on, what could be so important in this ship?'.

"Hey open that door too" Jin ordered.

Raising his hand Rex opens the second door and walks further down the hall. As he reaches down the end he sees one in the last room. In the room was some sort of red sword with a green crystal shaped like a cross on a pedestal and it had no blade. But that wasn't what got his attention. He sees a capsule and in the capsule was a girl in some sort of red and black armor.

A green glow coming from the sword's crystal suddenly fills the room and the crystal starts to beat almost like a heart. He couldn't feel or hear anything around him anymore all he could do was stare at the crystal in a trancelike state. Slowly raising his left hand to touch the crystal he didn't realize his watch was glowing green as well.

Jin, Nia, and Malos entered the room catching up to Rex. Jin narrows his eyes at the girl within the capsule

"Look at that" Malos said with Jin nodding in confirmation

"There is no doubt that's the Aegis," Jin said. Nia gets a curious look on her face and tries to get a closer look

"The Aegis," Nia said with a look of wonder on her face.

"Hey, brat don't even think about touching that!" Malos yells at Rex but it was too late. Rex's hand touched the crystal causing lights of green dust to explode around him.

In less than a blink of an eye, Jin draws his blade and stabs right through the boy's heart.

Looking down at his chest with shock Rex could only ask "W-w-wh-hy?"

"Don't take it personally. It's an act of mercy. At least you won't be alive to see what's coming". Pulling the sword off and flicking off the blood Jin then made an upwards slash towards the red sword shattering it into hundreds of pieces.

"What a waste of time" Malos mumbled with Nia just looking in shock.

Quickly running forward she demands the silver-haired man "Jin why did you kill him?! Why?! What did Rex ever do to you?!". But he just walks out of the room ignoring her.

"Let's ship out the Aegis. Nia call the Monoceros" Malos ordered as he heads towards the capsule.

All Nia could do is just clench her fist at her own powerlessness.

But unknown to them Rex heard a voice in his head. "Warning life in peril! Warning life in peril! Warning life in peril!" said a voice that sounded like his own voice but with a more artificial tone to it. He couldn't tell if it was his watch or he was just hearing things because he was dying.

Unknown location

Waking up to the sound of a bell ringing and feeling a gentle breeze moving blades of grass to caress his skin was really nice.

Groaning Rex gets up and tries to see where he is. It was a beautiful sea of grass with a blue sky clearer than any sky he saw before. Off in the distance, he can see a small hill with a tree on top and someone beside it.

Curious Rex runs up to the hill and tree so he could get a better look at the person and it was a girl. "Uhum e-excuse me?" he asked nervously, unsure of his situation.

"It's such a mournful sound…" The girl's voice was soft and serene but it sounded sad. "Huh?" he lets out a sound of confusion. "It hasn't stopped. Not… Not in all these years" the girl continued

"Hasn't stopped?... You mean the bell sounds right? Are we close to the Praetorium or something? Where are we?" He questioned.

"This is… Elysium" the girl answered Rex and he gained a look of shock/surprise on his face. "The land where, long ago, mankind lived in harmony with their creator. It's where… "We" were born".

'We? Is she talking about humanity and her or something else?'. Now taking a closer look at her he blushed. Her outfit was really revealing. Her entire back was exposed and her shorts were so small they barely covered her butt. Honestly in Rex's opinion how does that count as "armor"?. Not just her outfit but she was really pretty too. Her eyes and hair were red with her hair being a bob-cut style. She was really curvy as well and the "armor" really didn't hide how attractive her body was.

Quickly averting his eyes so he didn't look like a creep he couldn't help but think of one word. 'Beautiful'.

He meant it too. She really was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life even more than Brighid the jewel of Mor Ardain.

Trying to take his mind off of her he looks at what is beyond the hill. He is amazed at what he saw. A field of healthy grass with a river of clear blue water. There were several houses with some sort of large structure way off in the back.

Turning back to the girl he noticed there was a crystal on her chest the exact same one the red sword from before had. "A core crystal" he realizes but that could only mean. "You're a… a blade"

The girl smiled warmly at him. "My name is Pyra" she introduced

Rex smiled back. "My name is Rex. It's nice to meet you Pyra." he greeted.

"It's nice to meet you too but I already know who you are," she stated.

Rex looked surprised at that "H-h-how" he questioned.

"When we came into contact when you touched the crystal on the sword". Pyra responded.

'When I came into contact with the sword? Let's see I touched the crystal there was a huge burst of light then a...a..a sword through my heart by…. Jin!' Rex reflected.

"THAT BASTARD HE STABBED ME! I HAVE TO WARN EVERYONE! WAIT AM I DEAD? I'M DEAD AREN'T I? WHAT CAN I DO? WAIT MAYBE AZMUTH CAN DO SOMETHING. BUT I CAN'T TELL HIM CAUSE I'M DEAD!" Rex panics around while trying to find a solution to his problem.

This can't be the end of his journey. He still wanted to save the people of Alrest. He still wanted to go back and see his surrogate family. He still wanted to explore the universe itself. Why? Why did it have to end this way? After all that he's been through, one stab killed him?

Looking down, Pyra steels herself and walks towards Rex. "I have a request," she asked. Looking up at her Rex is curious what she could want.

"Can you….. take me to Elysium?"

Looking confused at her question he gets up "Elysium? But aren't we already here?".

Pyra explains. "This world is just a memory, an ancient half-forgotten of what once was. The REAL Elysium resides in your world at the very top of the World Tree".

"A memory…? So it's like a simulation?" he questioned. He's seen and used real-life environment simulations before with Tetrax and Azmuth training him. "But how can I help? I'm not breathing, I'm dead".

"I'll give you half of my life force. That way… you can be revived… as my driver. As the Driver of the Aegis"

"The Driver… of the Aegis?" Rex said in wonder, was he going to finally become a driver? He never really needed to.

But one look in Pyra's eyes made him... sad.

It was a similar look to how Tetrax was when he said that Petropia destroyed… and that he was the cause of it. Pyra was hurting just like he was.

With that Rex made up his mind, he wouldn't just go to Elysium for his own dream. He would also go so he could help Pyra and give her all the support she needs to feel better just like he's trying with Tetrax.

"I'll do it, I'll become your Driver and bring you to Elysium not just for the people of Alrest but for you as well I swear it on my life!" Rex declared his eyes burning gold with conviction.

Pyra looked astonished before smiling "Thank you Rex. Now place your hand on my chest".

"WH-WH-WHAT! Don't get me wrong Pyra you're the most beautiful girl I've seen but that's really bold!". Rex stammers. I mean who wouldn't in this type of situation!

Pyra thinks 'What is he talking about? Oh oh...oh' Blushing madly, her face almost the same shade of colour as her hair. She quickly exclaims "Not my chest chest! My core crystal touch that!" She could hear a voice in her head scolding her for being not specific enough and calling Rex a pervert. Though both she and the voice did appreciate Rex calling her beautiful.

"Oh um right the-the crystal sorry about that" he apologizes. Raising his left hand he takes two of his fingers and touches the cross-shaped crystal. A bright flash appears not just from the crystal but also from his watch.

A surge of energy comes out of Pyra and starts entering his body, particularly his chest.

As the process is happening his watch is beeping before it speaks "unknown surge of data entering Omnitrix. Analysing… analysis complete. Unknown data capable of restoring biological functions. Accepting new data".

Back in the room

Noticing that he was on the cold metal floor Rex gets up. As he does, small lights of green glittering like fireflies surround him.

A green crystal like the one on Pyra's chest appears in his hand. Going by instinct he squeezes the crystal transforming it into the same red sword from before.

Taking a look at himself he notices his chest now had a green X-shaped crystal. 'Thank you, Pyra I promise I will help you'. He swore.

Outside on the deck of the ancient ship

It was raining outside of the ship setting a somber mood for a certain girl. The group of Drivers and blades exit the ship with Malos carrying the capsule and Nia looking down in dejection

"Nia end them" Malos ordered

Nia looked confused "End w-wh-what do you mean?" though she had a sinking feeling in her gut.

"The price of their lives have been paid in full. Now that we finally have the Aegis. The less number of witnesses the better".

"I-I-I can't do that. These people are innocent" she stammers. She wasn't going to commit meaningless murder she isn't a monster and she won't ever be.

Before Malos could speak, the capsule he was holding suddenly burst into flames. Caught by surprise he is burned a bit before he could throw it away.

The capsule erupted in a tower of flames and a figure enshrouded in fire jumped on top of the rails. The flames dissipate revealing Pyra with part of her core crystal missing in the shape of an X.

The deck of the ships began to glow red and melt. Another pillar of flames erupts from the deck reaching high into the sky. From the top of the pillar is Rex.

Landing on the deck of the ship Rex raised his sword to Malos "You know if you didn't want to pay me there was no need to stab me in the back, you bloody psychopaths!".

"You! And that sword! It can't be!" Malos shouted. Rex just smirked at him.

"Trust me I'm a lot harder to kill than I look! Pyra!" He turned to face her.

"Here!" she responded.

"Cover me all right".

"Will do".

Rex turns and begins running towards Malos preparing a slash.

Jin prepares to draw his sword but Malos stops him "Jin leave' em to me".

Malos activates his weapon and blocks the slash. The two lock weapons with Rex unable to overpower Malos. "Sorry kid" he forces Rex back with a single push. Rex manages to land safely on the deck. "But I can't let a kid like you claim her power for yourself".

Pyra tries to run and support her driver. She is intercepted by Sever but manages to avoid the attack with a roll and somersault.

"You won't hurt her or take her away!" Rex launches himself towards Malos swinging his sword the two clashed weapons each time. Both of them were evading each other's attacks but it was clear Malos was the superior fighter between the two.

"Cut it out Malos! Can't you see he's just a Kid!" Nia shouts. Malos just scowled at her. "Just a kid? Don't make me laugh Nia! This kid…" launching Rex back. Malos rushes towards him and pressures him with a series of slashes with Rex barely able to guard. "Has made himself the Aegis's Driver!"

"The Aegis's Driver?... Rex is…?" Nia had a look of shock on her face.

Rex was caught off guard by a kick from Malos. Feeling the air knocked out of his lungs he thought 'dammit I can't beat him like this but I can't go all out either there are too many witnesses. Should I do it anyway? If I don't I'll just die again'. He really wanted to go all out on Malos but there's the problem of having his secret exposed.

Struggling to get up he sees a slash made of wind heading in his direction from Malos's blade.

Thankfully Pyra appears in front of him and lifts her hands creating a gold shield. "Thanks, Pyra!" He really needed that.

"You're Welcome. Now don't let up" The Aegis replied.

Both of them run forward with Pyra in front to block any attack Sever throws at them and Rex at back to launch an attack.

As he attacks Malos he screams "Everybody get the hell out of here!".

Hearing Rex's warning everyone on the deck beside the Drivers ran towards the Maelstrom.

Dodging Rex's attack with a backflip, Malos lands on higher ground. "Malos here!" yelled Sever, throwing his Tonfa to his driver. Catching the weapon Malos aims towards the Maelstrom. Wind ether begins to build at the tip of the weapon but before he could fire Rex interrupts him.

"Hey, you bastard don't take your eyes off the enemy!" Rex taunted as he fired off a crescent attack of fire towards the man.

Malos grunts as he destroys the attack causing a small explosion momentarily blinding him.

As Malos regains his vision he sees Pyra and Rex above him both of their faces full of determination. In perfect harmony, the two of them raised the sword and yelled "BURNING SWORD!"

Slamming down the sword at Malos, a huge explosion rocks the ship with everyone looking in awe at the attack. Even Nia and Dromarch were shocked at the amount of power the attack held.

But when the smoke cleared it showed Malos blocking the attack easily with Sever supporting him. "You arrogant brat. How can some nobody like you…!? Wait those eyes… Heh guess I should've paid more attention from the beginning".

Annoyed by his nonchalant attitude Rex shouted "What the hell are you talking about?!"

With a cruel expression on his face. Malos charges an attack with dark ether on his open hand. "like I'd tell you!" thrusting his hand from the side intending to land a lethal strike.

Quickly Pyra grabs her Driver away at the last second dodging Malos's strike. The two of them let gravity pull them down to the ground.

Hearing the sound of the Maelstrom leaving Rex has a quick thought in his head as Malos jumps down too with Sever. 'Okay, the guys managed to escape on the Maelstrom meaning the only people here are me, Pyra, Nia, Dromarch, Jin, Malos, and Sever. We haven't been able to damage this guy. This is the best I can do right now like this… Okay no more holding back I'll go all out against this guy with everything I've got screw my secret I have to help Pyra!'.

Giving the sword to his left hand he quickly turns the faceplate of his watch. Activating the core a hologram of a creature pops out. Turning the dial until he found the form he was looking for he thought 'okay this guy is perfect right now he'll have good synergy with Pyra'.

"Hey Malos, remember you said I didn't live up to my reputation?" seeing the confused faces on everyone present he continues "Well now you'll see me going all out it's hero time!". Slamming down on the core a bright green flash erupts from Rex making everyone shield their eyes.

"Heatblast!" Rex shouted as the light faded.

When everyone opened their eyes, what they saw shocked them. Nia's jaw actually dropped open.

Standing in place of Rex was a tall 6 foot and half-tall humanoid creature composed of red volcanic rocks for a body and head. The creature's Mineral body also had plasma for its hands and feet. The plasma was also coursing through the cracks of the creature's mineral body and the head of the creature was also on fire. The most notable thing was the circular disk of his watch's symbol on his chest and above the symbol was the crystal Pyra gave him.

Species: Pyronite (Heatblast)

Homeworld: Pyros

Powers and abilities: pyrokinesis, fire absorption, enhanced strength, enhanced durability, enhanced jumping, enhanced reflexes, pyro immunity, cryo immunity, pyrokinetic flight, limited terrakinesis, water breathing, and short-range fire teleportation

Description: Pyros is one of the strangest planets in the milky way galaxy. Everyone had wondered how was it possible for life to ever evolve on a planet with the attributes of a star? With such a planet the Pyronites have very limited contact with other alien races but this also allows them to spend most of their lives perfecting their abilities.

Fun fact: pyronites have an equivalent to the human cold virus. If a pyronite is infected with the virus it will instead have cryokinesis instead of pyrokinesis.

Taking advantage of everyone's surprise Rex rushes towards Malos with a one-handed slash. Breaking out of his stupor Malos barely had enough time to block the attack and this time he was actually being pushed back since heatblast was a lot stronger than his human form. Smirking at Malos, he opens his free hand and creates an explosive fireball, and rams it on Malos's chest.

The explosion wasn't as big as the burning sword that he and Pyra used earlier but it was still pretty big. When the smoke cleared it showed Malos holding his chest in pain as some of his armour was destroyed from the attack. He could've sworn he saw some sort of purple crystal on the edge of his destroyed armour.

Pyra who was also shocked by the transformation could tell that the pyro man is her driver due to the ether link connecting them. 'Mythra am I seeing the right thing? Did our Driver just transform!?'. She asked the voice in her head now named Mythra.

'You are, I'm seeing it too and I've never seen anything like this before in my life! But from what I can sense his powers are around your level now!' Mythra answered, sounding shocked as well. Who could blame them? Just what was their Driver?

"Pyra!" She focused her attention back on Rex. His voice was deeper "I know you have a lot of questions But now is not the time. We have to work together right now if we want to win!" nodding in agreement with her Driver. He was correct that right now they had to fight Malos.

"YOU LITTLE SHIT! HOW DARE YOU!" Malos charges towards the pyronite this time with both of his hands shrouded in dark ether and intent to kill. Rex quickly unleashes a stream of flames but Sever jumps in front to defend Malos by putting up a shield.

Rex retreats by creating a tornado of fire and teleports right next to Pyra. The two nod together and both of them unleash a torrent of flames at Malos and Sever. This time the shield broke burning Sever alive and out of commission. Malos however emerges from the flames with only a bit of damage and is still charging towards the duo.

"WILD ROAR!" Suddenly a blast of sound slammed into Malos knocking him off course. Turning to the attacker he screeched "WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING NIA?!"

Nia just glared at her former comrade "that's what you get for killing Rex and attacking him!".

Malos looked murderous at this."So you're a traitor then? Good then I won't have to hold back when I KILL YOU!". Nia just stood her ground and stayed by Rex's side.

"Rex, pass me the sword," Pyra asked and he complied. She runs up to Malos. Jumping high into the air and slugging the sword at Malos. He blocks the attack holding her up. Using the momentum Pyra flips behind Malos.

Malos rushes to Pyra spinning with his tonfa like some sort of dangerous top. She backflips to gain more distance from Malos's dangerous technique.

Seeing his current style wasn't working Malos changed his tactics and just rushed to Pyra with a quick side slash. Pyra brings up her sword to guard and the two locked weapons glaring at each other.

Not letting Pyra handle this herself Rex rushes forward, his body surrounded by flames. The flame charge attack slams into Malos pushing him as he screams out in pain from the surprise attack. He kept pushing Malos until they were on the other side of the ship.

Immediately he felt something shift in the air and he saw the cause. The same huge black ship he saw at Argentum was approaching the ancient ship they were standing on. He saw huge cannons emerging from the ship's roof aiming at Pyra who didn't realize because she was focusing on them.

Thinking fast Rex slams the disk on his chest and a green flash engulfed his body again.

When the cannons opened fire on Pyra she turned around only to look in horror and she closed her eyes out of instinct. She then felt someone carrying her bridal style and opened her eyes to see who and what she saw shocked her.

Holding her up was a blue and black igna-like creature with a long blue and black tail. Its head was shaped like a curved cone and it had a mask covering its face. On its feet were two black orbs and on its hands were razor-sharp claws that were careful with her body with sharp elbow blades as well. On its chest was the same circular device heatblast had with the half of her core crystal above it.

"XLR8!" he shouted

Description: Kineceleran are among one of the fastest beings in the milky way galaxy with only Aerophibians surpassing them in speed when in air. The behavior of Kineceleran matches their speed due to them being reckless and living life as if they are in a rush. Due to their fast-moving nature, a kineceleran's mind can process information much faster than what is considered possible for a biological being. As they mature they become faster as seen that full mature kineceleran can patrol every corner of an entire planet like earth 24/7 in the span of a few seconds"

"Are you okay Pyra?" Rex asked worryingly.

She could only slowly nod her head dumbfounded.

Smiling behind his mask because she was safe Rex puts her down and says "be back in a flash".

With a burst of speed, he becomes a black and blue blur. Running down the side of the ancient ship and on top of the cloud sea he then runs up the other ship heading straight for the cannons.

Using his sharp claws he repeatedly slashes at the cannons tearing them apart into nothing but scrap metal.

After seeing his job was done he runs back to the deck of the ancient ship right next to Pyra.

He smirked at the stunned looks on everyone's faces after he did all of that in the span of 5 seconds and he wasn't going at top speed either.

"REX GET ON QUICK!"

Hearing a shout Rex looks up and sees gramps flying towards the ancient ship.

Running up to Pyra and picking her up he heads straight towards Nia and Dromarch since they tried to help him and he had a feeling they weren't gonna be welcomed by Malos and Jin anymore.

Upon reaching them he presses the symbol on his chest and is once again engulfed in green light.

Now he is a humanoid plant with one eye with five vine legs and long plant fingers on each hand. He had what looked like a venus flytrap surrounding his head with several black pods attached to his back. The same symbol from before is on his chest with the core crystal above it.

"WILDVINE!" he declared.

Species: Florauna (Wildvine)

Home planet: Flors Verdance

Powers and abilities: chlorokinesis, explosive fruit pods, camouflage, regeneration, elasticity, size alteration, body alteration, plant merging, tentacles, vine generation, prehensile vines, thorn generation, enhanced strength, enhanced digging, enhanced durability, enhanced agility, enhanced flexibility and enhanced jumping.

Description: the florauna are typically a savage race with very little intelligence. But they are adaptive learners as some florauna can become intelligent through normal education. They are also a territorial species. If they detect intruders they will attack them and try to take them to their leader as food even though they can just survive off sunlight and water like a normal plant.

Growing several tentacles he grabs Pyra, Nia, and Dromarch and jumps high into the air. Extending one of his arms he latches onto gramps. Building up some momentum he throws them onto Gramp's back and himself.

"GRAMPS FLY AWAY FROM HERE QUICK!"

Turning around he sees more cannons emerging from the ship aiming straight towards them.

Slamming down the core once more he transformed again. This time he was a huge bulky rock-like being with a red core on his chest with the icon on it and the core crystal just above it.

"GRAVATTACK!" he announced

Species: Gailiean (Gravattack)

Homeworld: Kepler

Powers and abilities: gravity manipulation, orbiting, flight, enhanced strength, and enhanced durability.

Description: The Gailiean race are living planetoids and a wise and peaceful species. In fact, entire wars have been stopped thanks to their wisdom and negotiating skills. Despite their calm nature, they are actually one of the most powerful races in the galaxy due to them being able to control gravity, one of the four fundamental forces of the universe. Their gravity control and reaction speed even allow them to stop things moving faster than light itself and create black holes.

Raising up his arms Rex projects a gravity shield around the area to deflect the oncoming artillery. This went on for a couple of seconds until the firing stopped.

Sighing in relief he allows himself to take a breather and turns around. Seeing the shocked look on everyone's faces made him realize now he has to deal with the consequences of revealing his secret.

"beep beep beep beep beep!" his icon flashes red and emits a beeping sound.

In a flash of red light, he returned back to his human form. 'I swear this thing has a mind of its own and it's trying to make fun of me,' he thought cynically with an annoyed smile.

"Look I know you ha-" "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IN THE NAME OF THE ARCHITECT WAS THAT?!" He was cut off by Nia's freakout.

Back at the ancient ship

"RRRRRRRRR AAAA GGHHHHH! THAT PIECE OF SHIT!". Malos releases a roar of anger as he sees the Aegis escape. He couldn't believe that kid... no that... that freak! humiliated him like this!. He's never seen anyone capable of changing their forms into strange creatures before in his entire life. 'Is this a power from being his descendant? No, not even that man had this unique power. If he did he would have used it in the war.'

Jin approaches him, placing a hand on his shoulder calming him down slightly. "I'm going to slaughter that kid Jin. he'll pay for embarrassing me like this!". He yelled but this time with a bit more control.

"We'll obtain the Aegis and deal with that boy some other day but for now you need to rest and recover. That boy gave you some pretty serious injuries". He advised giving Malos a look of concern.

Gritting his teeth he reluctantly agreed for the time being he would recover. That freak had actually hurt him this bad and from what he had seen he was still holding back against him.

He never thought anyone but Mythra could do this much damage to him. Sure maybe a powerful blade could hurt him this bad but even that was unlikely and a bit of a stretch. With someone that powerful defending the Aegis, they'll probably need the whole group plus Jin using his true powers in order to win.

Standing up he looked in the direction where they escaped and swore that he couldn't wait to see that freak's broken body under his feet as he crushes the life out of him

Okay, this is chapter 2 done now as you can tell some things are canon like Rex getting revived. But some things are different from canon like Rex dominating the fight scenes and Azurda (gramps emerging unscathed). Now my fanfic is inspired by multiple fanfics but specifically from Tessler's Perception story. also, I now realize Rex can become Tirkin since they're intelligent enough so I need a name for a Tirkin form as well I'm open to suggestions.
