These are my answers to my fanfiction account reviews.

Somerandomhuman: Thank you for your feedback. I've recently downloaded Grammarly premium and ProWritingAid to help with my Grammar. Now, as for Rex leaving Alrest. He has left Alrest a few times, but he hasn't seen the top of the world tree. In fact, he can't. No one can. That will be explained later in the story. Now, as for the Toepick question. I'm not saying pick your favourite Xenoblade character. Toepick is an alien in the Ben 10 that is so ugly and scary. His face causes those who see it to go into a panic attack from just how he looks. Heck, he's so terrifying he can even affect celestialsapiens.

Chapter 5: Pyra's tears

Rex and his friends packed up the last few supplies they needed for their world tree journey after telling Tora and Poppi about his Omnitrix and the existence of aliens. If the two were going to come on their quest, then they should know the whole truth of Rex's origins.

They surprised the two aspiring heroes at the existence of alien life but even more so of the Omnitrix. Tora asked Rex if he could study it to further his research, who quickly denied the little furball. Rex explained that if he lets Tora do that, he will be breaking the law set by the galvans. That states that lower-tech level planets cannot use higher-tech because of its catastrophic effects on that world.

"Well, we've got enough food, but how are we going to get out of the city if everyone's looking for us? I mean, I can handle stealth with Dromarch. But I doubt you two have much experience in that department." Nia asked, hoping for an answer for their current predicament.

She's always been on the run with her tiger Blade. Ever since she became a flesh-eater, Indol has been hunting her down. It was rough, but it gave Nia a ton of experience on how to be discreet.

She had a point as well. After the commotion, they made from their fight with Brighid. Every soldier in Torigoth will be coming after their heads. Tora and Poppi will probably be fine since they've lived in Torigoth. Nia could use stealth just like she said, but Rex and Pyra will stick out like sore thumbs.

Rex, still as Water Hazzard, brings up a hand to his chin and thinks. The ardainian military is going to look for a human in a blue salvager suit. But what if he blended in with the crowd? Immediately an idea strikes his mind, and he snaps his fingers. Tapping onto his Omnitrix, it engulfed him in a green light.

When the light died down, it revealed Rex back in his human form, with a few additions. On the top of his head were two cat ears like that of a gormotti. His hair was bushy and curly instead of their usual spikiness. Feeling the top of his head, he grinned at his genius, making everyone see his teeth had fangs.

"Gormex!" he shouted before turning to his friends, "Well, I'll be fine now, they'll be looking for a human salvager, not a gormotti. So what do you guys think? Do I look good?" he questioned.

Everyone had a look of surprise on their faces from Rex's transformation. They knew he could turn into aliens. But they didn't know he could transform into another species from Alrest, especially a gormotti.

Pyra blankly stares at Rex, entranced at the two cat ears on top of his head. She thought Rex was cute before. But now, he looks even more adorable in her eyes. The cat ears were the same shade of brownish colour as his hair. They also seemed so fluffy as well and even more cute with how they twitched every now and then.

Wordlessly she walks up to Rex, who's surprised by her sudden action. Before he could say anything, Pyra raises her hands and feels the cat ears on his head. "Soft," she murmured. It was the softest thing she ever felt in her life. The texture of the ears was softer than any pillow she slept on. If she could have a pillow right now, she would want it to be as soft as Rex's ears. Continuing her feel of the ears, she was so caught up with it she failed to see the blissful face Rex made.

Rex stiffened at Pyra's touch. When she first touched his ears, he realized just how sensitive a gormotti's ears are. Each of Pyra's strokes felt so therapeutic to him. Not to mention her hands were naturally warm, which made him feel even more bliss. The face he's making right now was one of ecstasy from her gentle touch and warmth. Slowly, he felt his mind leave his body as he purred from the sensation.

After hearing his purrs, Pyra snaps back into reality. Looking at her hands, still stroking Rex's ears. Comprehension strikes her, and she feels her face light up by at least 100 degrees from what she's doing. She couldn't stop, though, even though her mind was telling her to stop. The feeling of Rex's pleasure was being transmitted to her through their link, and she wanted more. Not to mention the ears seem to melt through her fingers each time she caresses them.

Slowly Rex's purrs become moans of pleasure that filled Tora's house with an erotic atmosphere. Wanting to feel even more pleasure, he rubs his ears against Pyra's hands, hoping to get more of this wonderful feeling, not caring about anything else and going by instinct at this point. He lowers his face to Pyra's chest and nuzzles it as a cat would to its owner. Even while wearing her armour, Rex could still feel the softness of her breasts as he inhaled her delightful scent. To Rex's mind, nothing else seemed more important in the world or the universe. Then this wonderful girl who saved him from death.

Realizing what was going on a second later, Rex quickly snaps out of his euphoric state. He quickly pushed himself away from Pyra's soft chest. Still red in the face from Pyra's touch, The Omnitrix user tries to gather his mind. Knowing what he has to do even if he doesn't want to. He raises his hands and pulls Pyra's hands away from his ears Reluctantly. While he pulled Pyra's hands away from his ear. The alien hero couldn't help but note how smooth Pyra's hands were.

Looking at Pyra's face, he sees that she is panting slightly, and her face is red. He then remembered Pyra felt his pain. And if she could feel his pain, then she probably felt his pleasure. He blushed at the thought of her feeling this good from him.

Swallowing his spit as he tries to calm himself down, he nervously said. "Well… that was… something." the crimson-haired beauty just nods in shame. "I don't... mind... but please ask next time." Even if that's what his mouth said, his mind and body demanded more of Pyra's warm embrace.

"Ahem!" the both of them blinked and looked at Nia, who was glaring at the two of them with a blush on her face.

"If you two want an intimate moment, then do it somewhere private." She snarled out in jealousy at their tender moment.

'Wait, why am I jealous? If Rex wants to cuddle with Pyra, then let him. But what's so great about her?' she thought cynically at the idea of Rex and Pyra being together, though she didn't know why.

Ever since Rex said he likes fire, water, and light blades, she's taken an interest in him. Especially his kind nature. When she just thought everyone was just selfish by nature. How was it possible for a boy this pure to even exist in their horrible world? Did it have something to do with the Omnitrix?

No even without it, she felt Rex still would've been the same cheerful kid as he is now.

When he defended her from the ardainian military, she thought, was he the one for her? He didn't abandon her. Even when she didn't need it as well, he protected her because that's just the kind of guy he is.

"Meh-Meh Tora never knew Rex-Rex and Pyra are blushy-crushy for each other! Tora must take notes! Poppi record blush crushy moment!"

This mortified and embarrassed the two of them. The thought of their tender moment being recorded and viewed by other people? They would rather dig a hole and stay in it for weeks than face anyone. But surely Poppi didn't record it, right?

They felt their embarrassment grew to even higher levels when Poppi confirmed their fears "Not to worry, masterpon. Poppi already started recording when she detected high levels of blushy crushy from Rex and Pyra!"

Rex quickly jumps away from Pyra, sputtering and becoming so red in the face everyone could've sworn they saw smoke emerge from his ears. He quickly tried to change the topic "AnywayI'llbefinenow! SohowarewegoingtohidePyra?" He spoke so fast everyone else could barely understand what he just said.

Thankfully, Tora seemed to understand and answered his prayers. "Not to worry, Rex-Rex Tora has perfect disguise for Pyra."

The brown fur ball goes into his closet, rummaging through it until he pulls out what looks like a brown cloak with gormotti ears on top of it. Walking back to the group, he gave the veil to Pyra, who was still red in the face.

Pushing down her shame. The red-haired beauty puts the cloak on. Looking at herself, the cloak covered her entire upper body, and it also had a hood with two cat ears on top.

"Yeah, this will work!" she exclaimed. She's just glad nobody was focusing on what happened earlier.

Rex looks at her with a blush on his face. He didn't think Pyra could be even cuter than she was before. The way the cloak covered her body gave her this sense of purity, and the cat ears only added to it. Now he understood why Pyra petted his ears, because he now has the same urge as well.

'Gah, get your mind out of the gutter, Rex. You've got a mission, and that's getting to Elysium. Besides, who could possibly stop us now?' he thought optimistically. With all of his friends plus the Omnitrix, they'll be fine, right?

The Marsanes

Deep within the cloud sea is the Torna warship entering their base. Docking the ship, Jin and Malos disembarked to greet their comrade, Akhos.

Akhos is a youthful man with fair skin, black hair, and blue eyes who gave off this aura of an intellectual person. His choice of clothing seemed to be akin to that of Malos, only it was blue in coloured, unlike the brute.

"I hear the Aegis has awakened… though the nature of her Driver is a surprise." The tactician informed.

Jin had to agree on that. He thought the boy was just a good salvager with a bit of combat experience. The cold warrior would've never thought of him possessing the ability to transform into strange creatures. It was unlike anything he has ever seen in his 500 years of living in Alrest. Deep down, he feared they might have made a very powerful enemy who would stand in the way of their plans. Even so, they've been planning this for hundreds of years, and they will not let this child stop them.

"It was a surprise to me too, but we're not going to let that stop us. Do you know where Aegis is right now?" the silver warrior asked stoically.

Akhos rolled his eyes at the question. "Of course, I know where she is. Obrona!" he called his blade to him.

A burst of childish laughter fills the air, and from the high ground came a female blade that shared characteristics of a moth. She grinned as she went down to Akhos' side, holding his shoulders.

"Oh, Akhos, did you miss little old me so badly?" she mocked cheekily. "You know. You could just say you have a thing for me, and I won't tease you about it." she was lying, of course, though. Even if Akhos said, he likes her. She would've teased him every time they were together.

Akhos could only let out a sigh of annoyance at this. He loves his Blade, but could she turn down her attitude a little? Despite that, he couldn't have asked for a better partner. Obrona's cheery attitude made him smile slightly on the inside. Not that he will admit it out loud.

"Anyway, Obrona, if you would?" The blue armoured warrior asked his Blade.

"Yeah Yeah, geez, you could say please, though." She sighed dramatically while bringing up a holographic image of every titan in Alrest.

Looking toward Jin and Malos, Akhos explained. "The Aegis emits a particular ether wavelength, and right now, she is leaving Torigoth most likely to leave Gormott. However, I've discovered something peculiar."

Malos looks confused. "What's so strange she is hiding her ether signature or something?"

Shaking his head while adjusting his glasses, Akhos answered. "No, no, nothing like that. What's peculiar is that there's another signature similar to that of the Aegis, but unique, look."

Jin and Malos analyzed the map and realized there are two identical signatures. But there was one difference. One of them had this strange green line connected to it, and the end of it was nowhere to be seen on the map.

"As you can see, this second ether signature has this connection to some unknown location not within Alrest and… wait, what's this?". Akhos looked confused at the map.

The two identical ether signatures were very close to one another. Not only that, they were pulsing as they made contact. The moth blade figured this strange phenomenon as she let out a sly giggle at the implications.

"So the Aegis is having a make-out session, huh?" she said, amused at the legendary Blade's boldness.

Akhos looks at the map with a blush on his face. "Huh wouldn't have expected the Aegis to make out with a strange Blade." Raising a brow, he didn't expect the Aegis to pursue a romance with another Blade.

Malos, however, looked at the two identical signatures and remembered something important. When Jin killed the salvager, that freak had half of the Aegis's core crystal, which means. At the mere thought of it, Malos leaked out his bloodlust, catching the attention of everyone else.

"That's not a Blade the Aegis is with… she's snogging with that freak of a salvager!" He yelled, full of rage.

"Wait, the Aegis is making out with her Driver?" As the realization sinks into Akhos mind, he lets a retching sound from his mouth. The mere thought of the legendary Aegis being with her Driver was a disgusting thought to the tactician of Torna. Oh great, not only is the Aegis's Driver a freak, but he's also a degenerate.

Jin, however, had a look of surprise. He knew back in the old days Blades and Drivers married one another. But the leader of Torna didn't expect the boy and the Aegis to connect this quickly. Inwardly he's a little bit happy but jealous at the same time. He's glad that romance between Drivers and Blades still exists, but jealous since he and Lora couldn't go that far together.

Akhos barely restrains his disgust, but he needs to explain the next part of his information. "Anyway, let's forget about the Aegis's… taste and instead focus on this". He points to another part of the map showing a ship heading towards another titan with enormous wings like a bat. "A shipment of core crystals from Mor Ardain is heading towards Indol for cleansing," he spat out the word with pure venom in his voice. Knowing full well what the cleansing actually meant.

Upon hearing that, Jin makes a serious face. "I'll handle the shipment. You two take care of the Aegis. I assume you two can handle it?" he asked. The two of them together may be able to defeat the Aegis. But with that strange Driver of hers, it'll make things difficult.

Adjusting his glasses with a smirk, Akhos confidently replies. "Don't worry, even if everything didn't go all according to the script, I could still improvise with a new one."

But through his confidence facade was fear. This wasn't how it was supposed to go at all. Even if the Aegis were to have a Driver, she shouldn't have one this powerful if the rumours from Mor Ardain are true. Then the Driver the Aegis was a wildcard that couldn't be countered through calculations and his script. He'll have to adapt and make one along the way or, as other people call it, winging it, which he hates more than anything.

Malos, however, makes a vengeful smirk appear on his face. Finally, he can go after that freak. Who cares if Pyra's Driver was some sort of monster. If he could bleed, then he could be killed. After all, Jin killed him, and that proves he's not immortal.

'Oh, just you wait, you degenerate freak, when I'm through with you. You'll beg me for the sensation of death.'

Gormott fields nighttime.

It took a while. But the gang got out of Torigoth before the ardainian military could place the city on lockdown. Now Rex and his friends were carrying their supplies through the fields of Gormott, hoping to reach Azurda.

Halfway through their journey, the gang became exhausted from all the heavy cargo. So everybody decided to camp for the night, except for Rex, who says they should keep going. But seeing that he's outvoted, Rex reluctantly complies and offers to do the night watch. Tora, however, couldn't let his heropon stay up all night. So, he offered to do the night watch with Poppi.

After making a campfire which Pyra provided, the team was preparing for bed except for Rex, who was trying his best not to sleep. The young Driver in question knew that if he slept, he would only have nightmares about the horrible things that happened to him ever since he gained the Omnitrix.

The alien hero was trying his best not to think about that. To take his mind off of that, he instead thinks back to the time he got hurt from fighting Brighid. He knew that his secret was now exposed. But when he saw Pyra in pain, all he wanted to do was to protect her. He then feels guilty about that. Because of his indecisiveness, Pyra got hurt. If only he wasn't such a coward back then, she would've been fine.

Pyra deserved better than his lackluster performance from before. The red-haired girl also deserved an apology for his carelessness.

Making up his mind, Rex decides to talk to the scarlet beauty. Turning to his side, he saw Pyra still awake and nursing her leg. Swallowing his saliva, the hero asks her. "Hey Pyra." she turned to him as he continued. "Can we please go somewhere else? There's something I want to talk about," he said while standing up.

She looks a bit confused at that. But nods and follows him.

The two of them walked a bit away from their camp, not realizing their movements woke up a certain gormotti girl. Nia looked at the two, confused. Why were those two leaving the campsite?

'Where are those two going? Better follow them just to be safe.' She got up silently so that she didn't wake up Dromarch and followed the pair.

After walking away from the campsite for a couple of minutes, the two stopped, and Rex turned to his Blade. Without warning, Rex bows to her and says, "I'm sorry, Pyra!"

His sudden and strange apology took her aback. The Aegis could only look and blink at her Driver in confusion as she let out a confused sound. "Um… it's okay? What are you apologizing for, Rex?" After all, he's done nothing wrong, so what reason could he possibly have to say sorry?

The answer to her question came when the hero answered. "I'm sorry for getting you hurt. When we fought Brighid, I should've transformed right away. If I did, then you would've been fine, and I'm sorry for that."

Pyra looks softly at that. "Rex," she whispered. Her Driver's sincerity touched the Aegis. She knew that when Rex got hurt, she got hurt as well, and Rex must've realized that.

His kindness made the crimson beauty smile, and she was glad that her Driver was such a selfless person. The more the redhead learned about him, the more she felt this need to be closer to him as well. What is this feeling she's experiencing?

"So from now on, I promise. I promise to use all of my power to protect you. I don't care if the world comes after me instead of you. In fact, I want the world to come after me instead. Because at least that way, the world won't go after you anymore." The young Driver swore.

He may have kept this secret for five years, but the alien hero knew it was only a matter of time before all of Alrest knew of the existence of extraterrestrial life. After all, between an Alien warlord coming after him since he was 10. To the most powerful Alien empire almost wiping out all other life forms in the universe. It's a miracle that no one in Alrest hasn't figured out that alien life forms exist and that they weren't alone in the universe.

So, He didn't care if the entire world came after him. Let them come if they want to take the Omnitrix and Pyra from him. Then they'll find out why he's called the legendary Rex Salvager saviour of the entire universe twice.

Pyra looked at Rex in shock at his promise. Why? Why would this young boy want to protect her to the point of making himself the target instead? He's just met her for only about a day, so why does he care for her this much?

"Rex… why do you care for me this much? You barely know me," she asked sadly while bringing her hands to her heart. She could feel it thumping rapidly, and the Aegis couldn't slow it down. What's this feeling she was experiencing? She's never felt like this before in her life. When Rex said he would do everything to protect her, she felt this desire to be closer to him as well. She desired to die, so why did she want whatever this feeling was?

Rex looks at Pyra with conviction in his eyes and answers. "It's because of the look in your eyes."

Pyra could only look at Rex, confused. What did he mean by the look in her eyes?

"When I saw the look in your eyes, I saw pain and sadness. You're burdened by something you did in the past, aren't you?"

The Aegis widened her eyes in shock. How did he know that from just looking into her eyes? Did he also know of her desire to die as well? Would he hate her for not telling him the truth?

Before the red-haired girl could say anything, her Driver pulled her into a hug. Her face was on top of his shoulder, and she could feel his arms holding her. One of his hands then goes up to the back of her head, and he stroked it with gentle care. Each of his fingers was digging through her hair, and it felt euphoric for the Aegis. She could even feel her heartbeat go even faster than it ever did before.

"You probably think that you're a monster, right?" he said while making a solemn face at that. "But you're not a monster, and do you know why?... It's because you feel regret for what you've done. I don't consider you a monster because of that regret. If you felt apathetic or joy from it, then I would've, but you feel none of that. Just know this… I'm here for you. I'll always protect you and care for you. So, you can cry. Trust me. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on, I'm here, I promise. After all, it's not healthy to bottle up your emotions," he swore while trying to comfort Pyra as best as he could.

Pyra could feel her mind trying to process everything Rex had just said. His promises, his ability to figure out her pain, and his offer to let her cry on his shoulder. It was all so much for her, and she could feel tears welling up in her eyes before finally, the floodgates broke.

She let out a quiet sob at first before she broke down. The surrounding area became filled with Pyra's anguished cries as all of her bottled-up feelings were released. Her tears were now dripping so much she's pretty sure she made Rex's shoulder wet from how much she cried. Her attempts to stop the tears were futile, too. The more she tried to stop it, the more she cried.

Pyra was letting out all the pain within her heart. Memories of the Aegis war were being released, along with her tears. Even if she technically never fought in the war, she still bared all the memories from Mythra. What did she do to deserve someone as wonderful as Rex? She's killed thousands of people, so she doesn't deserve this heroic boy… no man. The crimson girl doesn't deserve the warmth he provided her. She doesn't deserve his care. And she most definitely doesn't deserve this wonderful feeling he gave her.

Her crying lasted for several more minutes, but Rex never released his arms from Pyra even during all that time. In fact, he held her tighter so she could feel just how much he cares for her.

When her tears and the sound of cries were gone, the scarlet girl then removed herself from Rex's grip, taking a deep breath to calm down from her earlier breakdown.

After several seconds, she finally regained her focus, and she noticed just how close she and Rex were. Especially their faces. The alien hero looked… desirable to her, between this weird feeling in her chest and her mental breakdown from earlier. The Aegis wasn't in the best state of mind right now. She's only following her instincts at this point since she's unable to think straight. Her instincts were also telling her to be closer to Rex, and she couldn't stop them. Without realizing it, Pyra closed her eyes. She slowly leans forward to Rex. Or, more specifically, his lips.

"MMMPPPHHH" Rex didn't realize it fast enough. Pyra… she was pushing her lips against his. She… was kissing him. The way her lips moved against his was sloppy and messy. 'This must be her first kiss." he realized.

When Pyra separated herself from him, he thought she was feeling better. He didn't know she would do something like this! The salvager never imagined him losing his first kiss this soon in his life. But the more Pyra kissed him. The more he could feel her passion and emotional energy.

At this moment, Rex knew it. He didn't just have a crush on Pyra. He was in love with her. People might say you can't fall in love with a person you just met. But what do people know about love? Love is one of the most complicated emotions, in Rex's opinion. No one can tell him if he loved someone or not, and his mind told him he is in love with Pyra. Deep down, though, an uncertain idea appears in his head. 'Do I deserve a girl as wonderful as her, and would she even love me back?' would Pyra love him back? What if she didn't love him? Would that just ruin any chance he has of being with her? Did he even deserve this woman who was even more beautiful than a goddess, in his opinion.

He felt Pyra's tongue brushing against his teeth, asking for entrance, to which he complied. He wasn't ready for the sheer amount of fierceness behind her tongue. Her tongue was exploring every inch of his mouth. He could feel her licking simultaneously against his tongue and his teeth at rapid speeds. He tries to fight for dominance against her tongue, but he couldn't hope to match her sheer passion for him. Slowly he could feel his eyes roll back into his head as he submits to her. He would've never expected the gentle and sweet Pyra to be this… dominant.

Something was wrong, though, and he knew it. Despite him feeling happy from the kiss, a part of him feels like this is wrong. What could be wrong with this, though? He was kissing the most beautiful girl in Alrest, who he was in love with. But that was it. He knew he loved Pyra, but what about her? Did she love him? She's only kissing him because of what happened earlier. Her mind obviously is looking for any source of comfort. And he was that source.

Quickly, he brought his hands up to her shoulders and pushed her away. When there was some distance between the two, Rex yelled. "PYRA! SNAP OUT OF IT! YOU'RE NOT THINKING STRAIGHT RIGHT NOW!" he shouted while trying to control his hormones. He didn't want to earn her love like this. Not when she is obviously vulnerable and sad. He wanted her to genuinely love him when she had a rational mind and was happy. The thought of taking advantage of her right now made his stomach churn.

Pyra blinks several times to remember what just happened and when she finally does, her face turns atomic red. The scarlet Aegis… she just kissed Rex, and not only that, she was somehow the dominant one during that kiss! She didn't even know where all of that courage came from. She was becoming mortified at her sudden boldness but at the same time happy. Happy because when she kissed Rex, she felt more elation than she ever did before in her life. Even right now, she still wants her lips to join with Rex's and experience that wonderful feeling all over again.

But she knew that's not what she needed to do. She needed to apologize for taking advantage of Rex and for ruining their tender moment. "I'm... sorry… Rex. I didn't mean for that to happen. Can we just forget about it?" she requested weakly.

Rex was feeling a sharp pain through his chest at Pyra's request. It upset him. The salvager didn't want to forget about the kiss. It was the happiest he's ever felt before. And she just wants to forget about it? Rex pushes down his sadness and slowly reaches for her hand and asks. "Ok… I'll forget about it... do you want to go back to the camp?" if they stayed for any longer, the others might notice that they're gone.

Pyra nods while trying to hide her crimson face from Rex, unable to look at him in the eyes. The two of them walked in awkward silence back to their camp, unaware they had a particular gormotti girl watching them the entire time.

Nia was staring at Rex and Pyra as they walked to the campsite. The gormotti girl had a look of sorrow on her face. She saw and heard everything from Rex's sweet promise to his and Pyra's kiss. But she felt conflicted right now.

When Rex made that promise, Nia felt Rex was the one for her. Then Pyra just had to go and kiss him, and he looked like he enjoyed it too. This wasn't fair. She just found out she might like Rex, and now she knows that he loves Pyra. She could see that Rex enjoyed his kiss with Pyra, even though he stopped it. The gormotti knew why he stopped it too. It's because he considered Pyra's feelings foremost above all else.

Why does life have to be this cruel to her? She lost her sister and became a monster. A monster that's being hunted down by the praetorium itself. Just when she thought, she finally found something to give her solace in the form of Rex. Then that solace she wants now belongs to someone else.

She shakes her head and silently walks back to the campsite. Even so, if she really cared about Rex. Then she should be glad that he's got an incredible Blade and girl that he wants to share his life with. Even if she can't be a part of that life, she should be happy.

So why was she crying then?

A couple of days later, on Azurda's back.

It's been a few days since that night. Ever since then, Rex noticed that whenever he saw Pyra looking at him, she would immediately look somewhere else. She was still uncomfortable around him ever since their first kiss, and their relationship had changed. The strained relationship between the two of them made his heart clench. He ruined it. He destroyed their friendship and any chances he had of being with Pyra.

He was so focused on Pyra. Rex didn't even realize Nia was essentially doing the same thing, just a bit more discreet.

Pyra felt conflicted. I mean, sure, she kissed Rex, and she liked it. But the Aegis was confused, so she tried asking Mythra what she should do. But the blonde Aegis had gone quiet since her first kiss. This was strange. She expected Mythra to yell at her for doing something that reckless. But all she could feel was this sense of despair within her.

Pyra didn't know that this sense of despair she was experiencing was not from her but from Mythra.

She didn't know what to do. She stared at Rex for long periods of time over the last few days. The more she looked at him, the more she wanted to get closer to him. But she can't. She'll be gone after fulfilling Rex's dream of reaching Elysium. If she and Rex got any closer, then all she would do is cause him more pain.

But what if she didn't die at the end of her journey? What if she was still alive with Rex by her side? 'A life with Rex... does that sound so bad?' she thought while being conflicted. There were two sides of her. Telling her to either be with Rex or cut all ties with him.

Then she imagined it, a world without Rex. A world without the boy who promised to protect her and care for her. A world where he's gone. Just the mere thought of it made Pyra want to cry. She didn't want that, but she also didn't want to live longer, either. What's she supposed to do now? Both of her options will hurt her.

Her inner turmoil was caught off by Rex's shout. "Hey guys, we're reaching The World Tree."

Everyone turned to the front and saw it, The World Tree. Home of the Architect and housing the eternal paradise Elysium. Standing in their way, however, is the great void. An abyss that's bottom could not be seen from above.

"Well, Pyra, we're here now what?" Rex asked.

Turning around to face her, Rex saw she had this look of incomprehension and fear on her face. What was wrong?

Pyra looks at Rex with fear in her eyes. "Rex, we need to leave now!"

"Why we're finally here at The World Tree?"

The answer to his question came when an enormous snake-like creature emerged from the cloud sea. Its mouth was big enough to consume gramps even! But one thing stood out to Rex. It didn't look organic at all.

Instead, it looked artificial, like a machine.

"What the hell is that!?" Nia shrieked out loud.

"Meh-Meh Poppi hold Tora. Tora is scared!"

"Don't worry, masterpon. Poppi is also scared, and now Poppi needs to squeeze the life out of masterpon to not feel scared."

"Meh-Meh?! Wait, Tora, change his mind!" Tora yelled as Poppi squeezed the life out of him.

"Ophion, we're not your enemies. Let us through!" Pyra cried out. Much to her shock, the serpent now named Ophion didn't listen to her command.

Seeing as Pyra could not make this thing listen to her, Rex thought fast. 'If it's a machine, then I have the perfect form for it.' turning the dial on the Omnitrix, he cycles through his selections until he comes across the form he wants.

Slamming down on the core, he transforms into this blob-like thing that has a somewhat humanoid form with green circuitry all over him. His face had no actual eyeballs and instead had this singular green circle for an eye. On his chest was the Omnitrix symbol with the Aegis core crystal.

"Upgrade!"

Species: Galvanic Mechamorph (Upgrade)

Homeworld: Galvan B Moon

Powers and abilities: Technokinsis, Optic laser, technological possession, enhancement and repairment, regeneration, body alteration, elasticity, space survivability, enhanced strength, durability, agility, and flexibility.

Description: The galvanic mechamorph race is an artificial species created by Azmuth, the first thinker. In his attempts to make his homeworld's moon habitable. , Azmuth accidentally created a race composed of billions of nanomachines that comprises a single conscious mind. The galvans welcomed these mechamorphs as an equal race, and the two species formed a symbiotic relationship with one another. In the milky way galaxy, the mechamorphs are sought after for their ability to control and enhance technology and are generally one of the most peaceful species as well.

Rushing forward, Upgrade jumps off of Gramp's back. Flying through the air, he lands on top of Ophion's head, barely just hanging on.

This action causes the giant serpent to roar in rage as it tries to shake off its intruder. The sheer force from Ophion's body causes vast shock waves that could be felt hundreds of miles away. Thankfully, Rex had already partially merged his body with Ophion, and he was starting to melt and combine with the rest of the mech, letting him take over the snake.

To Upgrade's shock, however, he just found out how big this Ophion was, and he was massive! He couldn't cover this thing's entire body just by himself. In fact, he'll probably need a hundred mechmorphs to even do so. Not only that, Ophion was actually resisting his control, and it let a surge of electricity throughout its entire body as a defense mechanism.

Upgrade screams in pain at the current of energy coursing through his body. This wasn't good. Due to him being composed of nanomachines, he was vulnerable to electrical attacks and EMPs. Slowly his possession of Ophion fades as his body melts off of his body, and he could barely hear anything. Falling through the air, he thought he would've sunk beneath the cloud sea. But he felt landing on something hard with someone holding his body trying to help him. He could barely make out the image of Pyra crying her eyes out as he passed out.

Sorry for the long wait, but I've been playing Xenoblade two, and I'm not even halfway done Ursala's quest (seriously 5000 fans?! Who was the sadist that made this quest!?) Now unlike Tessler, who had a sex scene at this part of the story. I went on a different route.

This chapter shows us that Pyra's conflicted about what she actually wants. On one hand, if she decides to live with Rex, she has to give up her desire to die. If she chooses to die, she'll be unhappy as she denies falling in love with Rex. Some of you might think I'm rushing things. (and maybe you're right) But Pyra just heard Rex say he will protect and care for her. While also swearing that he will help her move past her trauma.

Now, as for Pyra's breakdown, keep in mind she has killed thousands of people. (technically speaking, even though Mythra did it) Because of her genocide, she thinks of herself as a monster. Yet Rex believes she isn't and is offering her the love she needed 500 years ago. Now Mythra, where is she in this? Since Pyra and Mythra share memories and intentions. You can say Pyra isn't the only one conflicted about her choice.

Anyway, thank you for all your support, and please give feedback for me on how to write better.
