Chapter 6
The man from earlier with the grey track suit fell to his seat. A large man with large forearms and shaven head walked up to him rubbing his hands together. "What will it be scumbag?" The man looked up at the chef and pointed a gun up at him. "Does this count?" He asked him.
The chef's right eye began twitching. "No that doesn't count you scummy scumbag." He growled out.
Sanji saw this as he walked out to Luffy's table with a large serving tray on his head and another on his right hand. "Here you do my lovely ladies." He said smiling at Luffy and Nami as he glared at Zoro and Kurama.
"Now get the hell out of here." Yelled the chef as he throw out the man and stormed back into the kitchen. Sanji glanced once more over to the man that had been thrown out of the floating restaurant.
"So Luffy." Said Zoro looking down at his Captain who was helping Shukaku eat his meal as she ate her own meal.
Luffy looks up at him with a large smile on her face. "Yeah, Zoro what is it?" She asks him as she looks down as Shukaku steals her streak from her. "HEY THAT'S MINE!" She tells at the crazed child coon.
"You snooze you lose brat." Said Shukaku between bites.
Zoro slightly blushes as the other snickers. "What do you mean the one I seek will be here soon?" He asked her to look back at her as she looks up at him as her fork steals the steak from him and shoves it into her mouth.
"Oh well I used my Haki and I felt my Uncle heading our way as well as some trouble. It appears he is hunting." Said Luffy between bites.
Zoro's eyes widen at hearing this. "Are you sure?" Asked her as he slightly raised from his seat.
Luffy nodded her head. "Yeah. I'm not joking. Now I get to annoy him in person for forgetting about my birthday. For he is always the first one to come and see me or call." She said with a pout on her face. She looks down at her plate and pouts even more as Shukaku had helped her finish her lunch as well as his own. "You suck Shukaku. You ate all our food." She told him tickling him.
Between crazed giggles Shukaku smirks at her. "I'm a growing boy." He tells her with a shit eating grin on his face.
Luffy gives him a deadpan look. "Yeah, and I'm already Pirate King." She tells him.
"Your Majesty." Said Shukaku with a smirk.
Out of the corner of her eye she spots Sanji with a plate of food and glass of water. "Excuse me. I'll be right back." She stands up but stops and looks to Zoro. "Umm... Could you order me some more food. I'm still a little hungry and when it comes could you hold Shukaku?" She asks him.
"Sure." Said Zoro as he looks down at the Biju/child and pulls him to his lap as another chef walks by them and he places another two orders as Shukaku wanted something else to eat.
Luffy climbs out a window and walks up a wall and looks down at the two men.
"Hey. Here eat this." Said Sanji as he places the plate of food before the man and sets the glass of water down as well.
Luffy crosses her arms smiling softly watching them. She can feel that both men have good hearts. But one is loyal to someone that is a fool and the other can stand to see someone suffer and will do all he can to help someone.
"No I will not take your charity." Growled out the man as he looks at the simple fried rice dish before him with hunger and longing.
"It isn't charity. I just live by a different code then the fools I work with. Those who come here I shall feed no manner if that are able to pay or not. For I know what true hunger is." Said Sanji putting a cigarette into his mouth and lighting it with a golden lighter.
The man nodded his head and slowly began to eat as tears began rolling down his cheeks.
"It isn't much, but it will keep you filled for several days." Said Sanji as he blow out a cloud of smoke.
Just then they heard something and looked up to see a girl with a straw hat sitting on a wall. "Join my crew Sanji." She said with a smile on her face.
Little hearts formed in his eyes before he shook his head looking at her. "NO." He told her firmly.
Luffy pout looking down at him as she pushed off the wall and flipped off the wall and landed doing a handstand on the railing before the two men as she crossed her legs and flipped herself down sitting cross legged before the two of them. "Why not Sanji." She asked him still pouting at him with her large puppy eyes.
The man stopped eating and looked up at Sanji. "Man are you going to make her cry. Just go with her." He said as he went back to finish his first meal in days…hell maybe even weeks as they couldn't stop from that mad man chasing after them.
Sanji let out a sigh looking at the girl before him. "I can't. I own that old geezer too much and I can't leave him." He told her.
"I understand. But I don't think he would want you to put your dream on hold for him. So why not join us and fulfill your dream." Said Luffy smiling at him.
Sanji looked at the girl with large eyes. "How do you know I have a dream that isn't part of this restaurant?" He asked her.
"I can see it in your eyes. For you know that old saying. Your eyes the windows to ones soul." Said Luffy with a grin on her face as she looked down at the man who had finished eating and was just now watching them. "Why don't you join us as well?" She asked him with a smile.
The man smiled sadly at her. "I'm sorry miss. I am unable to. I already have my own Captain and I must return to him and my crew." He said standing and bowing to the two of them.
Sanji picked up the dished and walked over to Luffy and dropped them into the sea. He turned to the man and smiled. "Come back whenever." He told the man and offered him his hand.
The man took it and shook it. "Thank you." With that he walked away and took one of the small boat off to the side.
Standing at the door was the head chef of the restaurant. "You should go with the girl. I no longer need you here." He said as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Sanji's head snapped up over at the man. "No way old geezer. I am staying here with you." He growled out at him.
"Little eggplant. I have shown you everything I known and well as the other chefs of this restaurant. We have nothing else to offer you. This girl can take you to new places and you can learn more and try new things." Said the old man as he looks at Luffy.
Luffy smiles at him. "We are heading to the Grand Line, but we will be staying here for several days as my Uncle is heading this way and I really would like to see him." She told the man.
He nodded his head and looked over at Sanji. "Take this time to think about this." He said stepping back into the kitchen and leaving to the two to their own thoughts.
"Just think about it. After we see my Uncle, I would like your answer." Said Luffy as she jumped up and ran up the wall and to the other side of the restaurant where she had come out of and reentered. Walked back to the table as he food arrived and sat back down looking at Zoro who had mash potatoes in his hair and looking down at Shukaku a little annoyed.
"What happen here?" Asked Luffy looking amused at them.
"My little brother being an ass to the swordsman. How did the talk go with the chef kit?" Asked Kurama who was drinking sake.
"It went well. We shall find out if he shall join once my Uncle joins us in a day or two." Said Luffy taking a bite out of the piece of steak she had cut.
Kurama nodded his head to this. His eyes travel over to Zoro who was about to wrap his heads around Shukaku's neck when once of his tails appear and grabs his baby brother from him and places him on his own lap. "That is enough out of you. Act your age or you shall not have any more sake until we arrive in the new world." He told his baby brother as people sitting around them looked at the two with shock.
"Fine. I'm sorry pup." Said Shukaku as he huffed as he crossed his arms over his chest and looked down at the table as Nami placed his plate of food before him. He began to eat and keep all his food on his fork and in his mouth.
Zoro just nodded his head as he cleaned himself up from the mess that Shukaku made out of him. "So you asked the love cook to join us?" He asked his Captain and Girlfriend?
Sanji walked out of the kitchen with desert that the group had ordered while Luffy was outside. He blinked when he saw the child now was sitting in the lap of the crimson hair man as the green hair man was talking to the girl that offered him to join her crew. He walked up to them setting down coffee before the ones that asked for it and hot coco before the others as he placed cakes in front of everyone.
Luffy's eyes lit up. "Who knew I like chocolate strawberry cake?" She asked looking around the table looking at Kurama.
"It wasn't I who ordered for you but him." Said Kurama nodding over to Zoro who was also eating the same desert as his Captain.
Look up blinking at everyone. "What?" He asked as he wasn't listening to them talk as he was lost in his thoughts about the up and coming fight, he was going to have with the Legendary Swordsman in a few says.
Luffy giggles looking at him. "How did you know that this is my favorite?" She aske him pointing to the cake before her.
He blinked looking down at her cake and down at his own. "To be honest I didn't know. I just ordered you something I liked and just hoped you would enjoy it." He told her with a ghost of a smile on his lips.
Luffy blushed and lit up and hugged him falling out of her chair and onto him. "Thank you." She told him with a smile.
"Your welcome." Said Zoro blushing holding her in his arm as he wrapped his arm around her as she fell towards him.
Sanji blinks as he watches the others just laugh at their Captain and the First Mate interact with each other.
A fox came running into the restaurant. "Luffy-chan. Your Uncle will be here in two days' time." Said Trinity as she looked out of breath.
Luffy looked over at Trinity. "How do you know?" She asked the talking fox as Sanji's jaw dropped to the ground.
"One of Gyuki-sama's octopuses came and informed us just a few minutes ago and as well Gyuki as well as Kokuo-sama will be joining us in the morning as they have found out who you will be facing next." Said Trinity as she was sitting now looking up at the raven hair girl.
Luffy nodded her head. "That would be good. For that will give Zoro enough time to train with Gyuki until my Uncle gets here." She said looking at him.
"Yeah, I was going to ask if you could summon him to join us and I was going to ask him if he wouldn't mind training me until he got here." Said Zoro looking down at her as she was now claiming back to her chair to eat her treat before Shukaku tried eating it before her.
"There are more of the talking foxes?" Asked Sanji looking at Trinity and Luffy.
Luffy looked over at him as if she hadn't noticed him still standing there. "Well yeah. They help run the ship along with the crew as well with the raccoons." She said with a smile on her face.
Sanji just pinched the bridge on his nose. "So you have talking animals on your ship?" He asked her.
"We're not talking animals. We are summons. As for our boss whose a Biju." Said Trinity looking at him annoyed now.
Sanji looked over at the Crimson hair man as he remembered seeing a Fox before he appeared with the group. "I see." He said as he turned to leave the group to finish their meal.
'Should I join them? They are not like the normal pirates that stop here, and they are not like the Pirates that the old man told me about that he met during his time at sea. Besides the King of Pirates who was carefree…Whatever. I'm over thinking things right now. I just need to take a nap or something.' He thought with a sigh as he went upstairs and went to his room to look at several maps, he had hung on his walls pointing at different locations where the 'Mysterious All Blue' could be.
Two Days Later
Zoro woke up bright and early to get some train in before he would be facing off with Dracule D. Mihawk. At this very moment he was sitting under the mass meditating.
Luffy walked out of her room with a tooth brush in her mouth with a towel around her neck. The sun was slowly rising, and she figured she would make everyone breakfast before the big events of the day when her eyes land on Zoro sitting under the mass meditating. Mischievous grin crossed her lips as she pilled her toothbrush out of her mouth and placed it on the railing and jumped over using chakra to soften her landing and tip toed over to him. Slowly she snaked her arms around his neck and leaned in close to him and in a seductive voice she called his name. "Zoro."
Zoro's eyes snapped open as he swung her around in his body onto his lap and before they before knew it, he had kissed her deeply. Luffy's eyes widen and closed as she wrapped her arms around his neck pulling herself closer to him and wrapped his arms around her waist.
They never noticed the several camera flashes and the snickering as they lost themselves in the kiss. Slowly they broke the kiss as the need for air burned their lungs. Luffy's eyes flutter open as she looked up at Zoro as he looked down at her with a smile on his lips as he leans in once more for another kiss.
At this time, the crew slowly arose to find their Captain and First Mate making out and before the two bounty hunters could open their mouths to say anything Nami and Usopp grabbed them and pulled them into the Kitchen.
"Shh…" Growled out Nami looking at the two fools as they nodded their heads.
"Good morning." Said Trinity and Star as they made breakfast for everyone one.
They looked over at the two women in the kitchen cooking.
"Trinity? Star?" Asked Usopp looking at them as their tails danced behind them.
"Yes, Usopp?" Asked Star as she turned to set the food on the table.
"How long have those two been at…..." Usopp trailed off as he didn't know how to ask the question.
Kurama smirked from his spot on the couch. "For over an hour now. SO now leave them be. They will be in soon. Luffy will get hungry and her hunger will over power anything else going on around her." He said with a laugh.
Outside Luffy and Zoro broke their kiss once more. "Umm…" Said Zoro blushing now looking at Luffy. She blushed looking up at him. "Yeah." She said still in his arms.
"Are we now dating?" Asked Zoro feeling a little nervous over his question to her.
"Yeah." Said Luffy breathlessly. She just rested her head on his chest as they just sat there as she sun rose higher in the morning sky. The others came out of the gally looking over at Luffy and Zoro to find them sound a sleep in each other's arms.
Nami let out a sigh. "They should eat. For what Luffy said. Her Uncle will be here soon and Zoro needs all his straight to go up against him." She said looking at Usopp who just nodded his head to this.
Chibi Shukaku walked up to the two love birds and jumped on them. "Time to wake up." He told the two as he smacked both of them on the face.
Both Luffy and Zoro glared at the sand coon on their lap. "Don't look at me like that. Remember I'm you love child." He said with a shit eating grin on his face.
"Yeah whatever." Said Zoro as he helped Luffy up to her feet as he stood up. The others just grinned at him and he just rolled his eyes at them. "Get it out of your system." He told the others as Luffy stood next to him taking his hand into hers.
"Why don't you two go and eat." Said Nami looking at the others to keep quiet.
"Yeah, he'll be here in a couple of hours and Zoro does need to eat before he shows up." Said Luffy looking to the sky that it appeared to be around 9am already.
"Come on." Said Zoro pulling Luffy along with him to the Gally so they could eat leaving the others to snicker and do whatever.
"They look so cute." Said Nami with a wicked smirk on her face.
"Man big bro Zoro got himself a babe." Said Johnny as his friend nodded his head in agreement.
"I thought they have been dating for along time already." Said Usopp looking at everyone.
Kurama chuckled at them. "No. They are close and flirt from time to time. But it appears they finally took the step they needed to. Or the boy thought he might die here today and figured what the hell and go for it." He said laughing.
Gyuki looked to his brother. "Mihawk will surely kill him now that he is dating his precious niece." He said looking to his other brothers.
"That's her Uncle?" Asked Yosaku as he paled looking at everyone as Johnny as even paling as well.
"Well yeah." Said Nami as she held out her hands shrugging. "Who else would Zoro been wanting to fight?" She asked the two bounty hunters.
"Bu-But he is the Greatest of them all." Said Johnny shaking at his knees.
"Yeah, but Zoro is pretty strong himself." Said Usopp looking at the two.
"I wouldn't worry about him. I have been working with him. Today was his day of rest before he would be facing Dracule." Said Gyuki looking at everyone.
"True the boy has grown since he has join the crew so I wouldn't worry so much about him." Said Kurama as he took a drink of his sake.
The two just nodded their heads to this as they hadn't seen Zoro in a while, so they hadn't see how much he had changed since the last time they had seen him.
Out at sea
Mihawk's golden eyes snapped open. 'Luffy she is nearby…' He thought as he froze in his seat. "I forgot her birthday." He said as his eyes traveled down to the new news paper laying on his lap and there was the date June 5th. "I am a month late. Well I do have her gift with me. So she shouldn't be too upset with me." He said closing his eyes once more.
With the Strawhat's
They all sat at their table ordering their lunch as Sanji danced around them taking the ladies orders first as the men just rolled their eyes at his antics.
"So Sanji have you thought about my offer?" asked Luffy looking at the blonde hair chef standing before her.
"Could I tell you after you met with your Uncle?" Sanju asked her.
"Sure. Give me your answer once he and Zoro have their fight." Said Luffy glancing over at Zoro who just nodded his head to her and took a drink of his water.
"Fight?" Question Sanji as now he wanted to know what was going on.
Luffy giggled. "I'll let you see who my Uncle is before I tell you who he is." She told him.
Sanji just nods his head as he returns to the kitchen where Zeff is standing against the wall looking at his son who looked a little worried and confused about something. "What is troubling you little eggplant?" he asked his son.
Sanji turned to him. "Luffy told me I could give her my answer once Zoro her first mate fights her Uncle. But will not tell me who he is. But what I gather. Zoro is a swordsmen and whoever her Uncle might be. He must be a swordsmen for the green hair man to want to go up against him." He told his father.
Zeff just nodded his head not saying a word to what his son told him. 'There are only two men in this world that are the best and one is somewhere in the new world and the other is a lap dog of the government and last I heard was in the Grand Land. So could it be him?' he thought to himself. "I see my son. But don't let this pass you by. You should travel with the girl and her crew." He told his son as he pushed off the wall and turned and walked out of the kitchen. He had a girl to speak with.
Luffy giggled as Usopp was telling one of his tall tells. As Zeff walked up to their table pulling up a chair from another table and sitting down next to the girl as Shukaku glares at him. "I have a question for you girly." Said Zeff.
Luffy looked at him with a smile on her face. "Sure." She told the man sitting next to her as all the Biju's just watched them interact as Zoro watched out of the corner of his eye as he watched the front door of the restaurant.
"Would one of your Uncles be one of these two men?" Asked Zeff as he held up two old bounty posters.
Luffy grinned at him. "Their both my Uncles." She told him looking at the two wanted posters before her of a much younger Shanks and Mihawk.
Zeff blinked and looked at the two posters in his hand. "But which of these two are heading our way?" He asked her as he wanted to know.
"Oh well that would be my Uncle Dracule. For Uncle Shanks will be meeting us in the Grand Line with my brothers and my third Grandpa." Said Luffy with a smile on her face. "Why do you ask?" she asked him now looking a little worried and confused at the old man before her.
"Well my son told me that your boyfriend there is going to be fighting your Uncle and the only two greatest swordsmen I could think of were these two." Said Zeff looking at the girl before him.
Now understand the man before her Luffy smiled. "I see. Well Uncle Dracule doesn't allow his skills to grow rusty as for Uncle Shanks likes to have a good time more. But Uncle Dracule does hunt him down and whip him into shape from time to time." She told him as he nodded his head to this.
"If my son tries to tell you no again just kidnap him." Said Zeff as he stands up and puts the chair away.
"You got it." Said Luffy in a fit of giggles as the door open and in came the man form a couple of days ago with his weaken Captain.
"He will be here in an hour." Said Luffy looking at Zoro who just nods his head to her.
"Please help us." Said the man as he begged anyone and everyone around them.
"My Captain and crew haven't eaten in weeks." He cried out. "As well I have about a 100 men out in our wrecked ship needing food and water as well." He cried begging on the floor before the chefs that stood before him and his Captain.
"Nope. Not going to happen." Said the Chef that throw him out the first time.
"We have money." Cried the man.
"Yeah, we don't care. That is Don Krieg, and he will just attack us once he gains his straight once more." Said another chef.
Sanji walks pass them and places a plate of food before the man and a bottle of water.
The Strawhat's watch on. Not saying a word as the others scream at the Chef and begin to hit him and call him a trader for betraying them for the likes of Don Krieg.
Krieg eats his food not saying a word as his first mate thanks Sanji. "Thank you once more for your kindness Sanji." Said the man as he wiped away his tears.
Zeff comes from the kitchen carrying a large bag of food with water. He throws it to the two men. "Take this to your men that are still alive and leave my restaurant." He said turning his back to him. "Now you lot get back to work." He orders his Chefs glaring at them all.
"Yes Chef." They say as one returning to the kitchen.
"Gin take the food to the men as I speak to the Captain of this ship." Ordered Don Krieg.
"Yes Don." Said Gin as he stands up and grabs the bag and rushes out to tend to his crew that serves under his captain.
Kokuo looks to the others. "This isn't going to end well for that fool." He tells them.
"Nope." Says Luffy as she grins at the Biju. "I'll be kicking his ass." She adds as she puts her strawhat on and stands up from her chair slowly walking over listening to the two men talking.
"I'll be taking this ship and the Log book you have Red Leg Zeff." Said Don Krieg with a smirk on his face.
"No. You will be returning to that weaken crew of yours and leaving my ship." Said Zeff crossing his arms over his chest never breaking eye contact with the man before him.
Krieg laughs. "I'll give you one hour to leave before I return with my men and kick you out if your not gone." He tells the man before him.
"I think not." said a female voice from behind Krieg.
Both men turn to look at a girl with long raven lock pulled into twin low pigtails with a red open vest with a black tank top under it and black shorts and sandals and a strawhat with a red ribbon. "What did you say little girl?" Growled out Krieg as he looked at her.
She smirked at him as she tilted her head to the left looking up at him with her right eye closed. "I said I think you need to leave this place and be a good little asshole and return to your ship and find an island for a new ship." She told him.
His jaw dropped open. "You rude little bitch." He hissed out.
Her eyes harden but her smile stayed. Zeff noticed this as he took a step back as he knew nothing good was going to be coming from this. 'The fool is digging his own grave.' Thought to himself.
Krieg stormed over to her getting ready to grab the girl by her tank top when he reached for her to lift her. He found he couldn't lift her off the ground. "What the Hell. How much do you weight?" He asked her to look at her blinking shocked he couldn't picked up this little girl before him.
Zoro's right eye twitched at this as he was getting ready to stand up and beat the ever living shit out of the man. "Don't think about it." Said Nami looking at him. "You still have your own fight. Luffy has this." She told him as he just glared at her.
"I know but he is pissing me off." Growled out Zoro as he wants to just slice something to pieces.
"Don't worry kit has it." Said Kurama glancing over to Zoro as he takes a drink of his sake. "Our little kit has done a lot in her short little life." He said with a smirk.
Luffy grinned looking up at him. "Yeah, you wouldn't be able to lift me up with the weight seals I have on me." She said as she focused all her chakra dropping the seals around her body as she became light as a feather and she flow over his head and landed on the rafter above his head as he laid on his back looking at her.
"What the hell?" Said Krieg shock written across his face.
Luffy giggled looking at him. "Well now that I am lighter it will be easier to kick your ass. But I hate going all out with a loser like you." She told him as she jumped back as a chain shot out from under his cape. She landed by the front door.
His chain wraps around the rafters. He uses the chain to pull himself up as he comes lose from the armor from under his cape. "I'll kill you." He growls as he charges after her.
Luffy sidesteps out the door as Krieg goes flying out the door and his face hits the raised deck that Zeff had the foresight of having raised for the fight to come.
The next Chapter we have Luffy facing off with Krieg and Zoro finally facing Mihawk and he finally noticing he forgot something particularly important. Lol
